Abstract

Interest in participating in individual counseling services greatly influences the effectiveness of counseling. However, individual counseling services are still rarely used by students. As a result students become less interested in utilizing individual counseling services. This article aims to describe the interest of SMPN 1 Painan students in participating in individual counseling services. This article is a correlational quantitative research. The subjects in this article were students of SMPN 1 Painan with a total sample of 208 students selected by proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used in this article is the interest scale of students participating in individual counseling. The results of the study found that the interest of SMPN 1 Painan students to attend individual counseling was in the high category. It can be concluded that students of SMPN 1 Painan are highly interested in participating in individual counseling.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the high maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR) in West Sumatra, especially in Lima Puluh Kota Regency. One of the causes of high MMR is the mother's emotional condition during pregnancy. The anxiety experienced by pregnant women is influenced by self-efficacy factors. This study aims to describe the self-efficacy and anxiety of mothers facing childbirth and examine the relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety regarding childbirth in primigravida pregnant women. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlational descriptive approach. The research sample consisted of 65 pregnant women who were selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used were a self-efficacy questionnaire with a Guttman scale model and an anxiety questionnaire with a Likert scale model. Hypothesis testing uses the Pearson product moment correlational analysis technique. The research findings are: (1) The average achievement score for self-efficacy in pregnant women is 23.19 (72.5%) which is high, (2) The average achievement score for anxiety facing childbirth is 104.72 (52.99% ) is low, (3) There is a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and anxiety about facing childbirth with a correlation coefficient of -0.312 and a significance level of 0.011.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of students whose learning processes are combined and separated between men and women in one class where each type of class has a different type of learning motivation. This is influenced by intrinsic factors and extrinsic factors in each student. The purpose of this study is to determine the percentage of students' learning motivation. The type of research used is quantitative with descriptive methods. The research sample was class XII students at MAN 2 Padang City, totaling 188 people who were selected using a proportional random sampling technique. Data is processed using interval and percentage formulas. The results of the study revealed that students whose learning processes were combined by boys and girls were in the high category with a percentage of 59.81%, classes where there were only boys were in the high category with a percentage of 46.34%, and classes where there were only boys there are women who are in the high category of 57.50%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masi banyaknya siswa yang menunda-nunda mengerjakan atau menyelesaikan tugas akademik, menyerahkan tugas melewati batas waktu, banyaknya tugas yang harus dikerjakan sehingga malas untuk mengerjakannya, menunda untuk membaca bahan pelajaran, malas untuk membuat catatan, terlambat masuk kelas dan cenderung lebih suka belajar pada malam terakhir menjelang ujian. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan korelasi. Responden penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri 7 Padang dengan jumlah sampel 53 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen prokrastinasi akademik. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa prokrastinasi akademik berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

Self-adjustment is an individual's ability to be able to live and get along with his environment. This study aims to describe students' self-adjustment and social cohesion and examine the relationship between self-adjustment and students' social cohesion. This type of research is descriptive correlational. The population of this study was 208 students who were registered in the 2021/2022 academic year with a sample of 137 students, the sample was drawn using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. Collecting data using a self-adjustment questionnaire and a student social cohesion questionnaire with a Likert Scale model. The data were processed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and to test the relationship the data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment formula with SPSS version 20.0. The results showed: (1) the level of student adjustment was in the low category with a percentage of 60.7%, (2) the level of student social cohesion was in the low category with a percentage of 65.0%, (3) there was a significant and positive relationship between adjustment with students' social cohesion with a large correlation of 0.983 which is in the weak category and a significance of 0.000.

Abstract

Psychological disorders of anxiety in athletes become a threat to the achievement of athletes' achievements and careers. Anxiety in athletes is based on assumptions created by the athletes themselves. The irrational mindset of the athlete will threaten the moment before the game starts. In alleviating these conditions, group counseling is used through the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach which will help athletes to think logically for optimal self-realization. This paper uses literature studies and literature studies by exploring various studies according to competition anxiety in athletes and group counseling setting REBT in accordance with the ABCDE concept.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students experiencing a decline in grades in certain subjects, not understanding the use of learning applications and having difficulty concentrating on learning. This is due to changes in learning situations that were previously face-to-face turned into online learning. This study aims to describe the factors that cause student learning difficulties in participating in online learning and the efforts of counseling teachers to overcome them. This type of research is descriptive using quantitative methods. The study population consisted of 408 students of SMA Negeri 13 Padang who were registered in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year, with a sample of 202. The sample selection used a proportional random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the factors causing student learning difficulties in participating in online learning were generally in the high enough category. And based on indicators (1) the low factor of technology use is in the high enough category with a percentage of 33.17%, (2) the limited factor of facilities and infrastructure is in the very low category with a percentage of 37.13%, (3) the limited internet network factor is in the very high category with a percentage of 28.71% (4) the limited cost factor of many students was in the quite high category, with a percentage of 38.12%. Furthermore, the counseling teacher's efforts in overcoming are in the high enough category and based on the indicators (1) the increase in learning motivation is in the loe category with a percentage of 58.91% (b) the development of attitudes and good learning habits is in the  sufficient category high with a percentage  of 32.67%.

Abstract

The surroundings around adolescents, as well as the rapid growth of technology, have a big influence on the background of bad adolescent behavior. The internet and information technology are undeniably tools for creating and disseminating sexual content. Students are caught watching and storing pornographic videos, sharing sexual fantasy stories on social media, flaunting their intimacy with their partners in public, following trends on social media, and engaging in sexual intercourse without realizing the consequences. The duration of social media use is one of the aspects in social media that influence students sexual behavior. The purpose of this study is to characterize students' sexual behavior and the duration of using social media TikTok, as well as to look at differences in sexual behavior between students who use social media TikTok for a long time and students who use it for a short time. This study is a descriptive and comparative study with 123 students, comprising 56 students who use social media TikTok for a long time and 67 students who use social media TikTok for a short time. A questionnaire instrument with a Likert scale was employed in this investigation. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and several tests utilizing the t-test procedure. According to the study's findings, there are substantial disparities in the sexual behavior of students who use the social media platform TikTok in terms of duration of use.Keywords: Sexual Behavior, Duration of Social Media Use TikTok

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan antara keluarga broken home dengan perilaku inner child pada siswa/i di SMP Kecamatan Padang Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 135 orang siswa/i yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket perilaku inner child dengan model skala likert. Hasil dari uji validitas pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk variabel perilaku inner child pada anak korban keluarga broken home diperoleh sebanyak 45 item yang valid (dengan hasil reliabilitas sebesar 0,719). Hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif,dengan diperolehnya hasil sebesar 66,7% anak korban keluarga broken home di Kec. Padang Utara memiliki perilaku inner child pada kategori sedang. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa sebagian besar siswa anak korban keluarga broken home belum cukup mampu dalam mengendalikan perilaku inner child yang ada pada diri mereka. Kemudian terdapat 21,5% siswa yang memiliki perilaku inner child pada kategori rendah. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa beberapa siswa cukup mampu dalam mengendalikan perilaku inner child yang ada pada diri mereka. Selanjutnya terdapat 11,8% siswa anak korban keluarga broken home memiliki perilaku inner child pada kategori tinggi. Hal ini dapat dimaknai bahwa sebagian kecil siswa tidak mampu dalam mengendalikan perilaku inner child yang ada pada diri anak.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that spread in Indonesia resulted in many sectors fawning including education. The government issued a policy to carry out learning activities from home to reduce the spread of co-19. Changed learning activities result in the possibility of learning loss. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a descriptive research type. The sample in this study was 237 students at SMA N 1 Kec. Lareh Sago Halaban. The data were obtained from the results of the learning loss questionnaire which had been filled out by the students. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques with the assistance of JASP version 16.3. The results of the study revealed that learning loss in students during the Covid-19 pandemic was generally in the moderate category. Based on the findings of this study, it is expected that counseling teachers or counselors can provide assistance in the form of guidance and counseling services.
