Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine why psychology students are motivated to participate in national level competitions. This research uses Mixed Method with sequential explanatory design the subject of this research comes from N = 150 psychology students. Taking the subject of this study using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and using the achievement motive scale. The results of this study indicate that why psychology students are motivated to participate in national level competitions because of the drive in each individual to achieve goals such as wanting to challenge themselves There are several factors that influence individuals, namely ideals, self-development, parents, economy, school and the results of research from a total of N = 150 respondents based on factors found that as many as N = 25 have high motivation, N = 108 have moderate motivation, and N = 17 have low motivation whose results are more likely to be in the low category. When viewed from the gender of psychology students, both men have a motivation of (31.4889) and women have a motivation of (31.4095) which results in almost the same achievement motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the experience of psychological persecution occurs in urban students. The type of research used is the survey type. Respondents resulting from the survey totaled 369 respondents who were determined using purposive sampling technique. While the data collection method was carried out by online survey through google form, using the measures of psychological maltreatment questionnaire (PMQ) scale developed by Gokmen Arslan (2017). The data analysis method uses the level categorization test method. The results showed that out of a total of 369 respondents that there were 33 people who tended to experience psychological maltreatment often were women, then 280 people who tended to rarely experience psychological maltreatment were men. From the results of this data, it shows that when viewed from gender, women tend to experience psychological maltreatment more often than men. When viewed from age 21> Years tend to experience psychological maltreatment more often. Age 19-20 years tends to rarely experience psychological maltreatment. Age 17-18 years tends to never experience psychological maltreatment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how often perpetrators carry out cyberbullying actions. The type of research used is a type of survey. Respondents resulting from the survey amounted to N = 58 who were determined using data collection carried out by distributing online questionnaires through the Google form. Meanwhile, this study used the Mixed Method method with a sequential explanatory design. The results of this study can be concluded that most cyberbullying perpetrators have carried out cyberbullying and the majority are involved in low-level cyberbullying with an age range of 17-18 years.

Abstract

Stres merupakan reaksi secara fisik maupun emosional ketika terjadi perubahan dari lingkungan yang mengharuskan individu menyesuaikan diri. Penelitian ini terbatas, dengan tujuan mengetahui bagaimana kerentanan stres pada mahasiswa muslim pasca pandemi covid-19. Jumlah total responden penelitian yaitu N=100 dan didapatkan N=14 sebesar 14% berada pada taraf stress tinggi, N=70 sebesar 70% pada stres sedang dan N=16 sebesar 16% pada stres rendah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui google form dengan jenis penelitian mixed method dengan rancangan sequential explanatory design dan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dikembangkan dari pengembangan skala Ibrahim, dkk tahun 2021 tentang The Impact of COVID-19 Traumatic Stressors on Mental Health: Is COVID-19 a New Trauma Type. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaku kerentanan stress pada mahasiswa didominasi oleh perempuan. Solusi dari penelitian ini yaitu dengan prinsip homeostatis dan proses coping terhadap stres.

Abstract

Tidur merupakan salah satu proses fisiologis yang penting untuk manusia yang bertujuan untuk mempertahankan kesehatan, tidur juga merupakan salah satu aktivitas terpenting manusia, seperempat hingga sepertiga kehidupan manusia digunakan untuk tidur terapi Wudhu merupakah salah satu cara untuk mengatasi gangguan tidur pada remaja, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Eksperimental dengan one group Pretest dan posttest design. Responden penelitian ini terdiri dari (N=19) Laki-laki (8) dan perempuan (11) remaja muslim di Universitas Palembang. Penelitian ini untuk melihat apakah wudhu berpengaruh terhadap kualitas tidur remaja muslim. Dari hasil pengujian yang didapatkan (P>0,05) Penelitian menemukan bahwa wudhu ini tidak berpengaruh terhadap kualitas tidur remaja muslim.

Abstract

Toxic relationships are unhealthy and unhappy toxic relationships or relationships that do not support each other. This study is limited, the purpose of this study is to identify and analyze unhealthy relationships in toxic relationships of urban women among adolescents. Especially like college students who are now mostly toxic to the people closest to them. Toxic relationships as unhealthy relationships have an impact on internal conflict. This kind of relationship is very vulnerable to making the sufferer unproductive, mental disorders, making emotional outbursts that lead to violence. Usually this toxic relationship occurs a lot in urban areas, because teenage parents tend to provide poor parenting and lack of affection from their parents. The research method used is a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaire surveys, statistical datasets. The results of the study show that: toxic relationship perpetrators are dominated by women, can also be categorized into several forms, namely: unhealthy relationships with friends, family, or lovers / boyfriends.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation and academic performance of Muslim youth at Islamic universities. Respondents involved in this study were 104 respondents. The respondents involved in this study were 104 respondents who were randomly selected using data collection techniques used were questionnaires using scales as data collection tools, namely using motivation and academic performance scales. By using correlational quantitative research methods. The results of this study indicate that motivation affects the academic performance of Muslim youth. Because motivation is an encouragement, meaning that where behavior can influence a person's efforts so that his heart acts for him to do something so that there are results. Motivation is very important because it can support a person's behavior so that he wants to work hard, so that he can produce the best.

Abstract

Anxiety is a condition in which emotions are used to show an emotional response that is not in accordance with the circumstances that cause fear. This study aims to determine the decrease in anxiety in students of the Raden Fatah Islamic State University. The research method used in this research is quantitative with an experimental approach. Experimental research is research that provides treatment to a research sample which then observes the consequences of that treatment on the object of research. The sample of this study were students who experienced high levels of anxiety at the Faculty of Psychology, Raden Fatah Islamic State University, as many as 30 students.

Abstract

Music is the art of sound arranged in patterns that are pleasing to our ears and convey emotions and moods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of music on students' emotions. This experimental research design used the One Group Pretest Posttest Design. This research was conducted on students of the Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang semester 5, Faculty of Psychology class of 2020. Data analysis used the Paired Sample Test technique with assistance using SPSS. The results of this study indicate that the value is Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,015 (p <0,05). So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the effect of music on students' emotions before and after being given treatment, that when given treatment in the form of listening to and watching the MV "Dunia Tipu-Tipu" by Yura Yunita there is a significant effect.

Abstract

In the learning process, a person needs concentration to be able to understand and interact with his environment. One of the things needed in order to concentrate on studying is to maintain good quality sleep. Therefore, this experimental study aims to measure and identify whether there is an effect of sleep quality on learning concentration in Psychology students of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This study uses a quantitative experimental technique with a Static Group Comparison design. The population of this study was the active students of the Faculty of Psychology, UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, amounting to 882 people. Determined 30 respondents as a sample selected by purposive sampling technique. Respondents were divided into 2 groups. The first group consisted of 15 respondents with the classification of staying up late, and group 2 consisting of 15 respondents with the classification of regular normal sleep. The data collection technique was through a questionnaire sheet and then analyzed using the chi-squere test.
