INTERNAL (Information System Journal) is a scientific journal published by the Information Systems Study Program, Masoem University. This journal is a forum for publication of scientific papers in the form of writings by academics, researchers and practitioners on pure and applied research in the fields of information systems, informatics engineering and computer engineering. INTERNAL is published twice a year, namely in June and December. This journal has been accredited by SINTA 4. In 2021, INTERNAL (Information System Journal) will be merged and recorded in the Masoem University journal. In addition, DOI Prefix 10.32627 which was originally used by STKOM Al Masoem was later changed by the DOI is affiliation to become Masoem University. The journal at STKOM Al Masoem has changed its form to a journal at Masoem University.

Abstract

The importance of a computerized system will save more time in managing ongoing business processes and produce accuracy in presenting data or reports to government institutions. The Cianjur Education, Youth, Sports Office requires a data management system for primary and secondary school supervision, namely an Information System that can be used by supervisors to take an inventory of data, including recording, storing, and reporting data from primary and secondary schools. With the information system, the Education, Youth, and Sports Office of Cianjur Regency can see information from schools quickly, precisely, and accurately. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews and documentation. While the research method used is the waterfall method with stages, Communication, Planning, Modeling, Construction, Deployment, Testing. The results of this study are in the form of an analysis design for primary and secondary school supervision information systems using UML design tools, as well as the results of testing the system with the EUCS method.

Abstract

The Academic Manager of STMIK IKMI Cirebon does not know the status of theses and final assignments submitted by students for the 2020/2021 academic year. They do not know who has or has not completed the mentoring procedure until a mentoring report is issued at the end of the mentoring period. The process is done offline and each process involves manual labor, paper-based guidance cards, duplicate, invalid, or empty data are examples of data restrictions. It can take a while to search for data, missing files, or missing files through physically stacked folders. An integrated web-based information system is the solution. Users can access it from any platform, including supervisors, BAAK, heads of study programs, and students. The research method using UML (Unified Modeling Language) and Extreme Programming (XP). The results showed that White Box Testing was 85% in the Online Guidance Information System (SIMABIN) for the main module so it was feasible for the deployment process. The application has gone through the deployment process and can record all student guidance activities starting from the process of submitting titles, guidance requirements, assignment of supervisors, process of guidance sessions, to the eligibility of hearings for each guidance week. Abstract

Heart disease in Indonesia, especially in the productive age, there is always an increase in the number of cases. The main cause of the increase in the number of heart patients is an unhealthy lifestyle and diet. The increase in patients with heart disease also has an impact on decreasing the standard of living. With this in mind, there is a need for research related to comparing classification methods on heart disease datasets. The dataset obtained is not balanced so that an oversampling technique is needed. The oversampling technique used is SMOTE. This research method uses Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Logistic Regression (LR). In order for this research method to be applied successfully, the data acquisition, data pre-processing and data transformation techniques are used to ensure accurate results. The model evaluation technique used is K-Fold Cross Validation. Based on the results of the analysis, it showed that the data partition using k-fold cross validation without oversampling gets the same accuracy value but the precision value is quite low. Conversely, if using the SMOTE technique, the accuracy value is as good as the precision value. The results of the SVM accuracy value get a value of 91.69%. LR is 91.76%. While the results of the SVM precision value of 57.81% and LR 54.82%. If using the SVM oversampling technique, the score is 75.79% and the LR is 75.84%. Meanwhile, the precision value obtained in SVM is 75.74%. At LR by 74.77%.

Abstract

Online lectures are still being held while Covid-19 pandemic is going to end. Suitable system is needed to ensure the quality of online learning. We must combine the teleconference with the Collaborative Learning System to maintenance the interactions between students and their lecturer. The research is to build a system that can implement the Collaborative Learning System in online lectures. The methods used are gamification and Extreme Programming. The results of the research is the Online Presence application with chat system features, real-time polling system, real-time question-answer, and real-time leaderboard. Abstract

Website User Interface (UI) design is an important factor in the use of design to look attractive, many things the appearance of the website is not attractive and the message you want to convey is not conveyed effectively, this is of course based on the needs and feelings of each user. This research applies the Kansei Engineering method to design a website appearance design. The method used refers to the Kansei Engineering Type 1 methodology. This research has applied Kansei Engineering to generate recommendations for website display design concepts. The kansei word list used is 20 words related to the appearance of the website. The website display specimens used were 8 specimens. This study involved 60 participants consisting of 30 class X high school students and 30 class X high school students. This research produced new design products in 2 categories, namely design products based on student participants produced the concept of "Bright" emotions for female participants to produce the concept of emotions "Colored".

Abstract

Critical thinking disposition includes seven habits as a motivation in analyzing problems to make decisions in the online learning system applied at the University. E-Learning application as online learning media which is equipped with various facilities to support Lecturer activities.  The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in critical thinking disposition based on the gender of the lecturer and the level of the Lecturer's Academic Position.  The results of the analysis of the calculation of the average score on the evaluation of critical thinking dispositions based on the gender of women (M=3.02) and men (M=3.23) means that there are differences in critical thinking although relatively little. The difference is found in statements related to reading habits, digging and uploading material, easy to receive input, studying material, reviewing assignments and being open.  Meanwhile, the f-count value is 0.903 which is smaller than the f-table is 3.24 at p <0.50, this indicates that there is no significant difference in the Lecturer's Academic Position level in applying critical thinking dispositions in using E-Learning applications for the learning process. Two indicators, gender and Lecturer's Academic Position evaluated with 14 statements for 7 aspects have not shown significant differences, this provides an opportunity to be studied more deeply in compiling statement indicators and can be related to the development of Lecturer's critical thinking disposition with taxono bloom.

Abstract

Understanding the process of teaching and learning activities is very important, because these activities can produce high achieving students if the process occurs successfully. This study aims to carry out the classification process using the C4.5 Algorithm on the concept of the level of understanding of students in the Basic Network Computer skills subject so that it can be used as a reference for improving student achievement and making benchmarks for learning media that must be improved and teachers as one of the important indicators in during the learning process. This study uses data based on a questionnaire. The data obtained is 136 data and divided into 100 training data data and 36 data for testing data. The results of the implementation of the classification process using the C4.5 Algorithm for students' interest in understanding the competency skills subject at Guna Dharma Nusantara Vocational School produce an indicator of learning media that has the highest gain so that it makes an important indicator of the student's interest in understanding. The application used for testing the classification process is RapidMiner with an accuracy value of 97.22%.

Abstract

The system of borrowing and returning books at the Library of SMK Lugina Rancaekek includes making loan reports, return reports, and member data is still done manually in the ledger, so errors often occur so that making reports takes a long time. The method used in this is the SLDC (System Development Life Cycle) method using Waterfall. Analysis and design of the system uses other tools such as Data Flow Diagram, Flowmap, Structure Chart, E-R Diagram, Data Dictionary, while the implementation uses Microsoft Visual Foxpro 9.0 and Microsoft Database Foxpro 9.0 for Database. The design of this system can facilitate the search for book data, speed up report generation, make it easier to control book stock, facilitate the process of borrowing and returning books so that they can produce information more quickly, precisely and accurately.

Abstract

Equipment management at the Al Ma'soem Bandung Foundation (YAB) is still done manually, giving rise to several obstacles including difficulty controlling the availability and condition of equipment in units, difficulty knowing prices and acquisition dates if needed at any time, and difficulty detecting warranty date and service schedule for electronic equipment/vehicles that require routine maintenance. To streamline access to equipment information, it is necessary to design a website-based equipment information system. The method used is the Object Oriented Analysis and Design Rational Unified Process model with the Unified Modeling Language system modeling tool. With a website-based equipment information system, access to equipment information at the Al Ma'soem Bandung Foundation will be easier for various interested parties.

Abstract

The application of Nave Bayes in Classifying Candidates for Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) in Nanjung Mekar Village was made to solve problems in the process of distributing non-cash food assistance programs that have not run optimally and have not been targeted. The purpose of this research is to find out how to apply the Naïve Bayes Algorithm in Classifying Non-Cash Food Aid Recipients in Nanjung Mekar Village so as to obtain optimal results.The method used in this study is the nave Bayes classification method. The Naïve Bayes algorithm is proven to have good performance in a prediction, and produces high accuasy and AUC values. The stages of data analysis were carried out based on the CRISP-DM method while the algorithm testing was carried out on the RapidMiner 9.10.001 software as a comparison between manual calculations and software calculations. The results of these tests obtained an accuracy value of 80%, and an AUC value of 0.938 which was obtained from 250 data with the use of 240 training data and 10 testing data.
