Abstract

The effectiveness of teamwork is the main key of the group performance, group cohesion, collective efficacy and member satisfaction (Aguado et al, 2014). Ineffective teamwork in a group occurs because of the lack of effective communication skills of members (Steven & Campions, 1994). The problem of ineffective teamwork due to lack of communication skills is experienced by one group of Posyandu cadres in East Jakarta. To improve teamwork communication the Posyandu cadre group, researchers conducted interpersonal communication training interventions. This intervention study is quantitative and qualitative field research with design, after and before with control design. The results of the statistical analysis showed an increase in the working communication of the Posyandu cadre team after attending interpersonal communication training. Based on observations and interviews related to teamwork communication, that are known to make formal communication, are able to communicate openly and supportively, listen more and respond positively to other cadres' opinions, increasingly recognize communicating non-verbally from other cadres, and reprimand also talk lightly when discussing.

Abstract

Significant contributing factor to the quality of education include teachers' motivation and performance. Motivation and teacher performance, will support the achievement of quality education. This research is quantitative. Data were collected by questionnaire, observation, and documentation. This study uses census approach, which is taking the data of the whole unit of observation. Data analysis method used is descriptive percentage, regresion, and t test. Based on this research, it was found that: 1) the work motivation of teachers teacher performance in the excellent category, and the quality of education in the excellent category, significa nt influence motivation work to teachers performance; 3) There is significant influence motivation to work on educational quality  4) No significant effect oneducational quality teacher performance a significant effect the performance of teachers to the quality of education, 5) there is a significant influence job motivation of teachers and teacher performance together on educational quality). The results of this study reinforce the theory by Bemandin Joice and Keith Davis that the quality of education is influenced by the knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes, and behavior, motivation, and performance of the personal organization.

Abstract

Pangandaran Regency is one of the most potential regency in West Java to develop its tourism. Pangandaran Regency has four local tourism objects governed by local Department of Tourism and Culture: Citumang, Pangandaran Beach, Green Canyon, Batu Karas Beach, Santirah, Batu Hiu Beach, Nature Reserve and Turtle Conservation. Tourism of Pangandaran offers many tourism objects whose attraction and feature are distinctive in those places. Nonetheless, the lack of attention given by the government particularly in term of promotion that has become a hurdle to the advancement of tourism in Pangandaran. Therefore, it is essential that relevant authorities must have awareness and introduce several regulations to advance the tourism development. Developing tourism sector requires strategies which equipped by well-arranged tourism developing plan in order to optimize the tourism potential. The role of local government is therefore important as the main generator and afterwards, giving the Pangandaran Regency Tourism and Culture Department full authority to create and implement tourism developing strategies. In this thesis, the writer is encouraged to acknowledge and review the role of Pangandaran Regency Tourism and Culture Department in improving the tourism potential. It is acquired by settling the statement of problem on first, the strategies of Pangandaran Regency Tourism and Culture Department to develop its tourism sector and second, the factors affecting the improvement of tourism in Pangandaran Regency. This research applied descriptive research method in nature by employing qualitative approach. The resources were grouped into two, primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by following the procedures: data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.

Abstract

Keragaan analysis of economics structure to industry smoke in Indonesia indicate that this industry have given constribute which good signifikan as spillway peacemaker of absorbtion of labour and also as one of the source of acceptance of state from within country. But that way affect cigarette to environment and health require to get serious attention. Cigarette industry have request price elasticity which is in elastic, market structure which is oligopoly, good pursuant to consentration ratio and also of Herfindahl Index. Characteristic product at industry smoke is heterogeneous, and also the existence of industrial kluster in unlucky and holy enable the existence of production efficiency. New entry barrier represent one of the characteristic found on industry smoke in Indonesia.

Abstract

Infrastructure, and other social issues may potentially reduced the image of Griya Mutiara Bekasi. Many concepts have been tried to solve the problems declining image of Griya Mutiara Bekasi. One of the concept that can be applied on Griya Mutiara Bekasi is service quality, a concept introduced by Zeithami, Berry and Parasuraman, and also Lovelock and Fitzsimmons. This paper proposes a quality service’s approach to solve the problem of Griya Mutiara Bekasi by exploring the perception of Griya Mutiara Bekasi’s consumen based on two criterias: performance and importance.

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe (1) how the House Shelter Managers of SEKAR do the communication and interaction process with the street children before coaching; (2) What kind of the roles of the House Shelter Managers of SEKAR in coaching the street children; (3) How the House Shelter Managers of SEKAR do the communication and interaction processin building familiarity with the street children assisted by themData collection techniquesused were(1) in-depth interview to the managers of the shelter SEKAR and street children, (2) as well as library research and documentation. The validity Test of the datas by either (a) went straight to the field, (b) used more than two informants to obtain precise data and notsubjective, (c) confirming the data on resources, (d) presenting the data in detail, systematically and Comprehensive, (e) discussing with colleagues. The results showed that the manager SEKAR always: (1) creating the warmth verbal communication by improving communication both to the street children themselves and the parents of these children, (2) improvingthe search through the introduction of information about the child and his approach to his parents, (3) creatingthe conducive conditions that emerge the children to reveal his true identity. Besides that, the role as brother, parents and friends raised by the managers as part of the management of symbolic communication to create a positive self-concept’s children. Then, in building interpersonal relationships with street children, there are two waysthat were: 1) expandinng the scope of activities. This is indicated in a variety of activities programmed by the manager of SEKAR. (2) deepening communication materials in a way to chat and give advice every bedtime, as well as being a friend to vent. The Conclusion of this research is that the communication management done by systematically starting from the contact, reduction of uncertainty. Additionally, the role of management is maximized to create interpersonal relationships and leads to a change in attitude and behavior of the street children normatively.

Abstract

In developed countries, the pattern of health care has shifted, not overly paternalistic as in Indonesia. They had much to apply the concept of partnership or partnership between clinicians and consumers. On the other hand, in the communication era of health consumers have a goodunderstanding and proven health patients actively participate in addressing health problems, are important factors in creating a good climate of medical services. One of conducting social marketing in changing people's behavior to address high subscriptions disease in children, is the Foundation for Concerned Parents (YOP). Some of the concepts used in this study is theconcept of marketing communications, social marketing and consumer behavior. The approach of this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were used: (1) in-depth interviews (2) nonpartisipatori observation, as well as exploring relevant data through books, websites, scientific journals, research reports, documents. From the overall results of the study, the outlines are social marketing communications management efforts undertaken by managers YOP using methods of marketing communications in order to change the behavior of health consumers. It is the most frequently performed activities of word of mouth and the internet (web, mailing lists, facebook, twitter, instant messenger) in an attempt to change the behavior of the middle class addressing subscriptions disease in children in Jakarta.

Abstract

This thesis aimed to get a picture of the motivations of midwife in referring patients for caesarean section at PPK II BPJS in Makasar Subdistrict of East Jakarta in 2014. This research was carried out because there was a tendency that doctors had cooperation with midwives, so that caesarean section had to be performed at a specific place. The study was a descriptive study with case study design, using in-depth interviews. The informants of the study were : midwives who refered to PPK II BPJS in the Makasar Subdistrict, Head of Public Relation of PPK II, BPJS doctors, patients of private practice midwives (BPS). This study examined factors contributing the motivation of midwives in referring patients for caesarean section at PPK II BPJS based on three factors: environmental conditions, partnerships and benefits.Short distance between the hospital and private practice midwives could facilitate referral patients. Midwives had more confidence about the safety of their patients when referring to PPK II that had complete facilities. BPJS’policy also affected referral patterns for caesarean section at PPK II because the midwives who not become PPK I, they could not refer patients to PPK II directly. Some of midwives only refered to the obstetricians and gynecologists at PPK II that already had existed cooperation with the midwives. Midwives informants reported that they only refered patients with medical indications and not based on or motivated by financial rewards from the reffered. If the referring process was rewarded, then it was just a bonus and not the main goal.In addition, the informants said that the socialization of BPJS program was not adequate in the community. It was expected the provision of services at the BPJS hospital had hospital accreditation certificate. This study suggested that hospital not give rewards to the midwives for refering patients for caesarean section at PPK II. It was also advisable to midwifery professional association to have clear rules and regulation on the referring process and associated financial rewards.

Abstract

The development of Globalization in this century is far more interesting for so many academias. The main issue that becomes the area of debate is the impact of Globalization to the concept of Nation-State, territory and sovereignty (Wesphalian System). The group of skeptic thinker assume that globalization bring a negative impact to Nation-State, territory and sovereignty. In the other hand, those who put their faith in globalization argue that globalization is inevitable. Therefore, an action of reconfiguration is needed to control the shift of every aspect in the context of world politics. For the sake of this need, Nation-State needs to be strengthening in order to retain its existence and legitimation. The arguments of this paper tend to pro the second position as the staple of this paper. The nature of relationship between Globalization and Nation-State is continuous and dynamic. Therefore, reconfiguration is needed if we want to have a better understanding for the concept of Nation-State, territory, and sovereignty.

Abstract

The media industry in Indonesia had been expanding, including the local newspapers. Radar Depok and Radar Bogor were two local newspapers that had to compete with the national newspapers. Based on that background, this research was intended to describe the marketingcommunication strategy of Radar Radar Depok and Radar Bogor in attracting customers in the competitive era. This research approach was qualitative with the case study method. The main technique of data was indepth interview with the head of the marketing division of each newspaper. Another tehnique was review of some literatures . To prevent that the datas had validity, the researcher used some triangulations tehniques. The result showed that Radar Bogor implemented both of push and pull marketing communictaion. IT was better than Radar Depok.
