Abstract

This study aims to identify the export performance of the fisheries sector in ASEAN-5 countries with China's export destination. Export performance is seen based on four effects based on the Constant Market Share (CMS) analysis method by Richardson (1971), namely the growth effect, commodity effect, market effect, and competitiveness effect. The data used is the third revised SITC data from UN COMTRADE for commodity codes SITC-034, SITC-035, SITC-036, and SITC-037. Based on the calculation results, it is known that ASEAN-5 has a good growth effect. In commodity securities, Indonesia needs to diversify its products. On the market effect, ASEAN-5 is in a relatively fast-growing market, and on the competitiveness effect, only Indonesia and Thailand have strong competitiveness.

Abstract

One of the reasons for the shrinkage of agricultural land in Indonesia is the existence of a system for inheritance and conversion of agricultural land which generally occurs on productive lands. If this condition continues, it will certainly become a serious threat to national food availability. This study aims to determine the extent of land fragmentation that occurs and measure the level of welfare of shallot farmers. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method with the technique of determining respondents using snowball sampling. The analytical technique used is a descriptive approach and uses welfare indicators from the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN). Based on the results of the study, land fragmentation in shallot farmers occurs through a system of inheritance, buying and selling, and land renting. Land fragmentation through inheritance is the most common and the largest area of inherited land comes from the wife's family with an average land area of 1.19. The highest level of welfare of shallot farmers was obtained at the prosperous family stage I with a percentage of 37.04%, for the pre-prosperous family stage with a percentage of 33.33%, and the lowest results were obtained at the prosperous family stage with a percentage of 29, 63%.

Abstract

There are two types of shallot planting systems in Sudimoro Village: the conventional system and the Automatic solar blue light trap system. The conventional system is planting shallots with the general treatment being to apply only synthetic chemical pesticides, while the Automatic solar blue light trap system is planting shallots by applying synthetic chemical pesticides and applying Automatic solar blue light traps. The purpose of this study was to compare the conventional system of shallot farming and the automatic solar blue light trap application system in Sudimoro Village. The population of this study was all shallot farmers in Sudimoro Village, which amounted to 9 farmers, consisting of 5 conventional farmers and 4 farmers applying Automatic solar blue light traps. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of this study can be seen that the value of the R/C ratio of the conventional system is 1.33, while the system applies the Automatic solar blue light trap 3.36. These results indicate that both shallot farming systems are feasible to cultivate. While the value of the B/C ratio for the conventional system is 0.33, while the system applies the Automatic solar blue light trap 2.36, these results indicate that the shallot farming in Sudimoro Village, the conventional system is not feasible to continue, while the system applying the Automatic solar blue light trap is feasible to be continued.
