Abstract

This study was aimed to describe ability of prospective student educators in using computer technology to develop mathematics learning multimedia. The ability was used to develop Power Point multimedia and Adobe Flash multimedia. This study was descriptive research with 27 prospective student educators as a subject. Researcher was main instrument assisted product evaluation rubric and questionnaire. The result showed that the average of ability of prospective student educators in using computer technology was in good category. The average score were 77,59  in using Power Point multimedia and 74,54 in using Adobe Flash multimedia. The ability was sufficiently to be used in learning and teaching. From the product analyzed and questionnaire, we found that the ability were not maximal because there were many tools untapped primarily in Adobe Flash. Unfamiliar yet in used also became a factor that affected the ability of prospective educators in using computer technology. Keywords: The ability in using computer technology, mathematics learning multimedia, prospective educators

Abstract

Mata kuliah Kalkulus, Aljabar, Geometri, Analisis Real, dan Fungsi Komplek adalah beberapa contoh mata kuliah yang berisikan konsep-konsep dasar pada matematika yang cukup abstrak sehingga banyak mahasiswa yang mengalami kesulitan untuk memahaminya. Mahasiswa membutuhkan visualisasi sehingga mereka bisa menguasai dan memahami materi yang dipelajari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan pembelajaran interaktif dengan mouse mischief dilihat dari keaktifan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dibanding dengan pembelajaran menggunakan metode konvensional.Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest posttest group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran interaktif dengan menggunakan mouse mischieff lebih efektif meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional pada mata kuliah kalkulus lanjut. Kata Kunci:Mouse Mischieff, Kalkulus Lanjut, Interaktif

Abstract

The topic of the set is a basic concept in mathematics and its relationship is close to our daily life. However, some studies in Indonesia have found that the students have difficulties in solving the set problem. This can be due to the pattern of mathematics teaching in schools. This study aims to provide a design of learning in the set topic with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. The research questions are: (1) How is the design of mathematics learning in the topic of the set using the RME approach? (2) How do students learn the topic of the set by using the RME approach? This research method is design research with one cycle in SMP Dasana Indah Tangerang. The subjects were 24 students with one focus group, 5 students who had no errors in the initial test. Data of research obtained from sound recording, video, photos, and Student Activity Sheet, then be analyzed by comparing the Hypothesis of Trajectory Learning and Trajectory of Actual Learning. This study produces the Theory of Local Instruction, with four lessons, namely: (1) Determining the set and not the set; (2) Finding the concept of set of universe, subsets, empty set, and describing the models; (3) Finding the concept of intersection, union, and illustrating the models; (4) Find the concept of complement, difference, and describe the models, and use the models to solve the story problem. In the learning process, through grouping games and describe the model, student learning the notion of set enthusiastically and actively. Keywords: design research, set, realistic mathematics education approach

Abstract

This research develops the theory of NN (neural network) by using CG (conjugate gradient) to speed up the process of convergence on a network of NN. CG algorithm is an iterative algorithm to solve simultaneous linear equations on a large scale and it is used to optimize the process of the network on backpropagation. In the process, a Neural netwok doing random weighting on the weight of v and w  and this weight will have an effect on the speed of convergence of an algorithm for NN by the method of CG. Furthermore, generating the random numbers to take a sample as a generator in this research of neural network by using uniform distribution (0,1) methods. Therefore, the aims of this research are to improve the convergence on NN weighting using numbers which are generated randomly by the generator and the will be corrected with the CG method.Keywords: neural network, backpropagation, weighting, conjugate gradient

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to improve students' mathematical thinking skills using a realistic mathematical approach. The research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted collaboratively and participatively. The subject of the research was the students of class VIII B, State Junior High School 2 Giriwoyo, in the academic year 2017/2018 with 32 students. While the object of research is the whole process of learning mathematics through the application of a realistic mathematical approach implemented in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 2 Giriwoyo. Based on data obtained from observations, field notes, questionnaires, interviews, tests of cycle I and cycle II, as well as documentation, the researcher concludes that mathematics learning activities through the application of a realistic mathematical approach in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 2 Giriwoyo are carried out according to plans that have been prepared . In addition, the purpose of the action taken is to improve students' mathematical thinking abilities achieved. Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Approach, Mathematical Thinking Ability

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning model that is influenced by the level of students' initial abilities and the combined influence (interaction effect) between the learning model and the students' initial level of ability to the students' mathematics learning outcomes. The learning model has a central function in learning, namely as a tool and a way to achieve learning goals. The type of research used in this study is quasi-experimental. The research subjects used as the subject of the trial were Yogyakarta State and Private Middle School Students. The object of this research is the students' initial abilities and learning outcomes of mathematics by using Write and Conventional Think Talk learning models. Data collection techniques used are test techniques and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed by two factors, both for initial ability test scores and learning outcome test scores and post anava test using Scheffe Test. The results of the study with α = 5% indicate: 1) The Think Talk Write learning model is more effective than the conventional learning model. Abstract

Kurs IDR terhadap USD yang fluktuatif sangat mempengaruhi ekonomi Indonesia saat ini, dibutuhkan suatu metode untuk meramalkan Kurs IDR terhadap USD agar bisa diprediksi. Diharapkan  para pemangku kepentingan segera mengambil kebijakan strategis demi stabilitas ekonomi nasional. Metode peramalan dalam tulisan ini menggunakan Double Moving Averages dan Double Exponential Smoothing dengan . Hasil peramalan menggunakan metode Double Moving Averages diperoleh IDR/USD, IDR/USD, IDR/USD dan Double Exponential Smoothing diperoleh IDR/USD, IDR/USD, IDR/USD. 14"> Kata Kunci: IDR, USD, Double Moving Averages, Double Exponential Smoothing.

Abstract

To improve the logical thinking ability of Papuan students, this research was conducted. The material subject of this research is how to solve the wide of the area under the normal curve.  The subject of the research is Papuan students in Class of Statistika Dasar in Mathematics Education major in STKIP Surya Tangerang 2016/2017 academic year. The methods of this research are Qualitative. Data had collected with Test and interview and to data analysis was using Descriptive Qualitative. The design of this research used Action Research.  The result showed that 1) Students with the high math problem-solving skill the area under the normal curve have been able to think coherently, as well as could completion of the work in consecutively and correctly. 2) Students with the math problem-solving ability, have been able to think coherently already did the problem in order, but still make errors in final calculation, because careless. 3) Students with low ability in math problem solving, have been able to think coherently already do the problem in order, but there was still a lot of mistake calculations in basic calculations like a division of integer, and as well as the final calculations. Kata Kunci: action, logical, thinking, curve, normal

Abstract

AbstractMathematics learning in SMP Negeri 3 Ngabang is still not optimal. The problem experienced is the lack of student involvement in the learning process. this is also related to the selection of inappropriate learning models. This affects the low student achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model on student mathematics learning achievement. The research method used is a quantitative method with comparative studies. The prerequisite test carried out normality test and homogeneity test. Hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results of the study show that the model CPS learning is effective against mathematics learning achievement compared to direct learning models. The results of the final data analysis showed the proportion of experimental class students had reached individual KKM with the results of tcount> ttable or 5.64> 1.68 Based on the average difference test obtained tcount= 1.751> 1.67 = t table and = 5%. Keywords: learning, learning achievement.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write (TTW) and type Think Pair Share (TPS) toward the mathematic communication skill students of grade 8th in MTs N Godean. This type of research is comparative descriptive which aplies Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. An instrument used in this study there are two kinds of the instruments learning and instruments data collection. An instrument consisting of learning implementation lesson plans and sheets of student activity, instruments gather data consists of broad observation, questionnaire, a test (pretest and posttest) and documentation. Analysis of data on research use t test some help software Ms. Excel 2010 and SPSS 20. The results of research pretest and posttest show that experiment class with cooperative model type Think Talk Write (TTW) and control class with cooperative model type Think Pair Share (TPS) normal distribution, both classes are homogenous and both classes have the same initial capability. The cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write (TTW) is same effective with cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) toward the mathematic communication skill students. The level of effectiveness cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write (TTW) is 0,30 with medium category and the level of effectiveness cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) is 0,28 with low category. Cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write (TTW) is same effective with cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) because the students are individually active role in group discussions and there is the same syntax for these two models namely stage think.Keyword: Cooperative learning model type Think Talk Write (TTW), cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS), mathematic communication skill students.
