Abstract

Land subsidence is a phenomenon that always occurs due to natural factors as well as human actions. Land subsidence has an even impact on all fronts. Land subsidence occurs continuously, therefore it is necessary to observe the phenomenon of land subsidence periodically using the GNSS method, which requires a benchmark that serves as a reference point for observation. With the need for a new benchmark devoted to observing land subsidence, it is necessary to do spatial modeling which is useful for finding out the suitability of the location where the subsidence observation point will be made. Spatial modeling was carried out using land cover data and lithology type to then be given weight and score and determined the soil movement vulnerability class into three, namely low class, medium class, and high class. The results of the spatial modeling of subsidence vulnerability show that the area12292.60 square kilometers is low grade, 20230.64 square kilometers represents medium class and 540.32 square kilometers is high class. Based on these results, the planning of the location of new observation points was carried out in areas with moderate to high levels of vulnerability with a total of 87 points scattered throughout the cities in Lampung.

Abstract

Health Social Security Agency or Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Kesehatan (BPJSK) is a health to make people pays inexpensive price to get medical treatment. One of the shortcomings of BPJSK is regency of BPJSK card owner must be identical with the regency of target hospital. Lampung Province has varying location and uneven distribution of hospitals especially in regencies. This study aims to determine location with lack of hospital with BPJSK by using of n-dimensional Euclidean distance. The three-dimensional coordinate of 2098 sample points (SP) and 77 hospitals are the quantitative parameter used to calculate the distance. Every hospital and SP are assigned an identity number depending on the regency of each hospital and SP. Each SP pairs with its closest hospital. The SP with different identity is grouped. 32.1% of area of Lampung Province is the location with lack of hospital with BPJSK. The most prioritized regencies is Pringsewu Regency based on the distance and the population. Further research about spatial analyzing the exact location to build hospital with BPJSK service should be conducted.

Abstract

The development of learning tools is one of the efforts to improve the quality of education as an effort to provide complete and systematic learning tools. One of them is the development of learning tools including (RPS) Semester Learning Plans and (RTM) Student Assignment Designs according to the KKNI in introductory geography courses. The development of learning tools in this study used the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation or Delivery, and Evaluations) model, with data collection instruments through questionnaires and validation sheets with descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the needs analysis showed that 74.4% needed an RPS adjustment and 78.9% needed the development of teaching materials in a social study program (PIPS), while the evaluation of the development validity (RPS) of Semester Learning obtained an average score of 3.59 while for the average instrument assessment (RTM) the Student Assignment Plan was obtained. the mean score is 3.75 with a mean value of 3.67 with valid criteria. These results indicate that the development of learning tools is following the KKNI and is ready to be implemented in learning activities.

Abstract

Traditional market as a major resource of inexpensive goods for countless middle and low-income classes as well as an essential source of livings for many persons is one of the crowded places having high risk of SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19) transmission. In a one hand, working in packed, precarious conditions, and becoming sick due to COVID-19 will have devastating effects on sellers’ entire households. In the other hand, markets must remain open so that customers may buy goods and sellers and their supply chains may preserve their livings. By taking location in Gede Market, Cilacap Regency, Central Java Province, this research aims (i) to analyze the social and economic vulnerability of sellers to COVID-19 pandemic, and (ii) to identify the coping strategy of sellers to deal with COVID-19 pandemic. Quantitative and qualitative data were retrieved towards 50 traditional market sellers and related keypersons.  AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) was used to measure the weight of each variable and factor of social and economic vulnerability. Multi scenarios analysis of socioeconomic vulnerability were conducted (social scenario, economic scenario, and equal scenario) resulting 18 percent, 48 percent, and 34 percent respondents having high level of vulnerability, respectively. There are as many as 18 percent of respondents who are always categorized in high vulnerability regardless of the scenario. Different coping strategies used by sellers to deal with economic problems during COVID-19 Pandemic such as reducing the number of commodities, conducting online selling, saving expenses, borrowing money, reducing the number of workers, transforming the fresh food commodities (perishable goods) into frozen food (more durable goods), and selling the commodities around neighborhood. However, this study also observed that some respondents did not undertake any coping strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop and implement and produce valid and practical assessment tools for critical thinking skills in disaster geography learning. Assessment tools are said to be valid if they have been declared appropriate to be used to measure the process and learning outcomes of disaster geography by geography education experts and education evaluation experts. In the research design this development follows the development model according to plomp which consists of three phases. In this study only took the prototyping phase (prototype phase). The instrument used in this study is an assessment that has been designed beforehand in the form of selfassessment assessment, assessment of colleagues and critical thinking assessment. After the device was made, three trials were conducted which consisted of one-on-one (individual) trials, small group trials, and large group trials. The results obtained in this study are limited to the results of trials in small groups by evaluating previously designed assessments

Abstract

In the context of regional development in Indonesia, Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are designated to accommodate industrial and economic activities for regional acceleration. To date, Indonesia has 19 Special Economic Zones that have been designated, one of which is the Bitung SEZ. In its designation, the Bitung SEZ focused on the fishery and coconut processing industry, as well as its derivative products. The development of the Bitung SEZ as a government product in the plan is expected to give trickling down effects to the surrounding, but in the practice, it does not escape problems (in the spatial, institutional, and socio-economic aspects). Thus, this paper aims to explain how the establishment and operational dynamics of the Bitung SEZ are based on the physical, policy, and social dimensions as dualism in development. This research used mixed methods, with data sources and materials obtained from the research, news, and planning documents. The findings of this study, the dualism of development occurs in both theoretical and practical settings, instead of creating a new growth center, development can also cause some problems.
