Abstract

The development of tourism resulted in social changes in the Kurau Barat Village community. This observation aims to find out, describe and explain the social changes that occur in the community in Kurau Barat Village, Koba District. The results of the observations show that the development of tourism was well received by the residents of Kurau Barat Village. Factors that influence social change are acceptance of new elements, accepting acculturation, migration, accepting changes in life habits from traditional to semi-modern, the existence of respect for the work of others and the desire to progress. These changes can affect the sustainability of tourism and the condition of society in the future so that it needs to be directed and managed properly by all parties involved. A qualitative approach is used in discussing social change. Data is collected through observation.

Abstract

Utilization of SIMARI (Integrated Lambung Mangkurat University Information System) as a form of implementation of the application of e-learning in learning, has begun at Lambung Mangkurat University, especially in the Economic Education Study Program since the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. The problem that arises is that there are still limited subjects applying SIMARI. This study aims to analyze the effect of SIMARI utilization as the implementation of e-learning based learning on the learning outcomes of ULM FKIP Economics Education students. Research uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of the Economic Education Study Program who had participated in e-learning totaling 291 people. Samples were taken as much as 25%, namely 73 people with stratified sample techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires related to SIMARI utilization in learning as independent variables and documentation of student learning outcomes in subjects that had used SIMARI as the dependent variable. Data were analyzed using simple regression techniques. The results showed that SIMARI utilization in e-learning was in a fairly good category. Student learning outcomes are in a fairly high category. There is a significant effect of SIMARI utilization as the implementation of e-learning based learning on student learning outcomes which is indicated by the Fcount of 4.554 with a significance of 0.036. It was concluded that SIMARI's utilization as an implementation of e-learning in learning could significantly improve student learning outcomes especially in the ULM FKIP Economic Education Study Program.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a high level of vulnerability to natural disasters. Based on the disaster index of risk, Central Java Province is one of the provinces that experienced the most disasters in Indonesia. Community preparedness efforts towards disasters are still considered weak, as evidenced by a large number of fatalities, property losses, and deaths. Children are classified as vulnerable to disaster management efforts and therefore require special efforts to increase knowledge about disaster mitigation. This study aims to increase students knowledge of disaster mitigation through disaster preparedness socialization activities to realize disaster resilient schools. This research is one form of community service through socialization activities with a qualitative approach. The result of the study shows that the level of students knowledge of disaster mitigation still needs for improving more. Low knowledge can increase the number of casualties resulting from disasters. The solution offered by researchers is conducting disaster awareness education activities through disaster socialization. It is expected that follow up actions such as maintenance and supervision as controls with the aim of such activities have the optimal result to increase students knowledge of disaster mitigation and the realization of disaster resilient schools.

Abstract

Millennials are a generation that is familiar with the use of technology and the internet in everyday life. This generation can spend hours using internet technology through cellular phones or mobile phones that are more practical and easy to use. The process of education and learning in this generation certainly needs to apply some appropriate learning methods by using mobile phones based on smartphones so students are more interested and enthusiastic in participating in learning. Quizlet is a smartphone-based online learning device that can be used for all subjects and for all ages. Quizlet can be accessed by students through mobile phones based on Android or iOS. The purpose of this study is to explain the advantages of the Quizlet application that can be used in the millennial generation learning process. Literature studies are used to explain the advantages offered by the Quizlet application through the analysis of theory and literature that has been obtained.

Abstract

Primary school is one of the levels of education whose task is to realize the national education goals. In order to achieve this goal the school must have good quality. One effort to improve the quality of schools is to support facilities and infrastructure and improve the reading culture. This Best Practice is designed to support the work that the author has done as the principal. This study aims to describe the initial conditions of the school, explain the efforts, constraints and ways to overcome them in building a culture of literacy to support the success of teaching learning activities in explaining the results that have been achieved. The results showed that 1) The initial conditions of literacy were still low; 2) How to build a culture of literacy began with the procurement of facilities and infrastructure followed by habituation; 3) Constraints faced included facilitators, costs, and interests of students; 4) How to overcome existing problems namely with financial donations, attending workshops and holding tutoring and extracurricular activities; 5) The results achieved through the development of a literacy culture, namely the school can win several race champions. Suggestions are given that the government through the education office should be more focused on addressing issues related to literacy in primary schools and for principals to be role models in literacy.

Abstract

The problems in today's learning are low competence and the lack of the ability of teachers to use media in learning and collaborating with other media. In the process of learning the Qur'an Hadith, teachers are still dominant using conventional/traditional media such as markers, blackboards, textbooks, papers, and teachers only read while students imitate so that it leads to low student learning outcomes towards mastery of recitation. This study is intended to determine the competence of teachers in utilizing learning media and collaborating between conventional/traditional media with modern applications of recitation in Balai Diklat. This study uses a qualitative approach/method with a descriptive type. The technique of data collection is by interview, observation, and documentation, while the data analysis techniques are carried out in the phase of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that, almost all the teachers in the Al-Qur'an hadith learning material Tajwid Sciences still used conventional media. Second, teacher competency in the Education and Training Center in learning is more improved and the learning process is more interesting with the collaboration of conventional media and modern media applications of recitation science. Conclusion: Nowadays in the learning process the teacher is still dominant using conventional learning media compared to modern media, the learning process is more interesting and the results are even more increased if the teacher collaborates conventional media with modern learning media, namely the Tajwid science application.

Abstract

The future of this nation depends on the quality of its young generation. Sexual violence against daughters that is rampant today can damage the growth of the spiritual and physical body of the young generation. For this reason, a preventive solution is needed for prevention. This initial study will identify the characteristics of sexual violence against girls which occur in two regions, namely Wonogiri and Boyolali. This research was the qualitative descriptive analytic study that explored and described the characteristics of sexual violence against girls in the two regions. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and document review of key informants, PPA Polres officers, Head of P2TP3A, Head of Women and Children Protection, Solopos.com news and Kompasanda.com, and other key informants. Data were analysed using GAP techniques to obtain insightful initial data. The research conclusion is as follows. a) Most intrafamilial abuses are carried out by stepfather, biological father, victim's sibling and grandfather. b) Extrafamilial violence abuse is carried out by the same age victim’s friends and playing that mocking the victims in abuzz and begin with alcoholic parties. The perpetrator with the status of a boyfriend is difficult to trace, and the actual cases are very large in number. c) Institutional violence abuse often occurs in elementary and junior high schools with the perpetrators is a teacher. The victims are more than one student. d) Ritualistic abuse takes the form of shamanic practices. The triggers are such as; a) inharmonious family situation, b) unfavourable economic conditions, c) unhealthy social environment, d) the negative influence of social media use, e) unstable psychological conditions, and f) superficial understanding of religion

Abstract

This study aims to (1) analyze and describe the assessment of accounting learning conducted by high school teachers in Surakarta City-Central Java. (2) the development of lesson study based contextual accounting learning assessment. This study uses the research and development approach. Research subjects of high school accounting teachers in Surakarta City. Methods of data collection, interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis which includes data collection, data reduction, data display and verification. The validity of the data uses triangulation methods and sources. The results of the study indicate that the judgments carried out include affective assessment, cognitive assessment and psychomotor assessment. The evaluation of accounting learning in high school of Surakarta City for affective aspects are using two ways, namely the assessment of spiritual attitudes competency and social attitudes assessment. Assessment of spiritual attitudes uses self-assessment techniques. Social attitude competency assessment uses observation techniques, self-assessment journals, and peers. Assessment of accounting learning for cognitive aspects using tests and assignments. There are three learning assessments for psychomotor aspects, namely project appraisal, performance, and portfolio. Development is carried out on assessment instruments for both affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. The development of the affective aspect is carried out by the spiritual attitude competency assessment instrument and the social attitude competency assessment instrument with observation techniques. The development of cognitive aspects is carried out on the instrument for assessing cognitive aspects and the timing of the implementation of cognitive instruments. Development of psychomotor aspects is carried out on the implementation of psychomotor instruments.
