Abstract

AbstractThis research is aimed  to produce Student’s Activity Sheet (LKS)  based on guided inquiry on salt hydrolysis and to know the students’ response on developed Student’s Activity Sheet. The method used in this research is Descriptive Study through three phases: preparation, development, and evaluation. An analysis of Basic Competence (KD) with indicators that had been integrated with Guided Inquiry stage for being used as reference in developing Student’s Activity Sheet had been produced during the preparation stage.  The development stage had produced worksheets that had been validated by 3 lecturers and 3 chemistry teacher. On the evaluation stage, the worksheets that had been validated was tested on 41 students of XI MIA 2 of SMAN 1 Parung. Products were validated and were responded basen on properness of contents, design, language, and guided inqury. The results showed that the worksheets had ben developed based on four aspects: 84,39% on design aspect, 81,47% on properness of contents aspects, 81,22% on guided inquiry aspect and 79,39% on language aspect. Overall, the average percentage of the worksheets that had been developed was 81,62%.  That value included in the proper category with the very well criteria. Keywords: LKS; Guided Inquiry; Salt Hydrolysis; Descriptive.  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi hidrolisis garam serta mengetahui respon siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif melalui tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan dihasilkan analisis kompetensi dasar (KD) dengan indikator pembelajaran yang telah diintegrasikan dengan tahapan inkuiri terbimbing untuk dijadikan acuan dalam mengembangkan LKS. Pada tahap pengembangan dihasilkan LKS yang telah divalidasi oleh 3 orang dosen dan 3 orang guru kimia. Pada tahap evaluasi, LKS yang telah divalidasi diuji cobakan kepada 41 orang siswa kelas XI MIA 2 SMAN 1 Parung. Produk divalidasi dan direspon berdasarkan aspek kelayakan isi, kegrafisan, bahasa, dan inkuiri terbimbing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan berdasarkan 4 aspek yaitu aspek kegrafisan memperoleh persentase sebesar 84,39%, aspek kelayakan isi memperoleh persentase sebesar 81,47%, aspek inkuiri terbimbing memperoleh persentase sebesar 81,22% dan aspek bahasa memperoleh persentase sebesar 79,39%. Secara keseluruhan, rata-rata persentase LKS yang dikembangkan sebesar 81,62% termasuk dalam kategori layak dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kata kunci: LKS; Inkuiri Terbimbing; Hidrolisis Garam; Deskriptif.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to describe facebook utilization in peer assessment online to assess pupil’s scientific attitude on laboratory report of environment pollution, to explain the benefit and the weakness, and also to get information about student’s and teacher’s response about peer assessment online by facebook. Collecting data are done by observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The instruments which used were analysis form of implementation facebook utilization in peer assessment online, rubrict peer assessment to assess pupil’s scientific attitude, questionnaire, and manual teacher interview. The result show that many of pupil’s scientific attitude can be assessed by peer assessment online with utilization of facebook. The main weakness of facebook utilization in peer assessment online are technical problem such as unfluent internet network and a hacker. Benefits are free of time, low cost relatively, and comfortable in assess. The conclusion of this research is facebook can be used for peer assessment online to assess pupil’s scientific attitude. Keyword: Facebook, Peer Assessment Online, Scientific Attitude, Laboratory Report.  Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan jejaring facebook dalam peer assessment online untuk menilai sikap ilmiah siswa pada hasil kerja praktikum pencemaran lingkungan, mengungkap kelebihan dan kelemahannya, serta memperoleh informasi mengenai tanggapan siswa dan guru terhadap peer assessment online melalui facebook. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui observasi, angket, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data adalah format analisis pelaksanaan pemanfaatan jejaring facebook dalam peer assessment online, rubrik peer assessment untuk menilai sikap ilmiah, angket terbuka dan tertutup, serta pedoman wawancara guru.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar sikap ilmiah siswa dapat ternilai atau terungkap melalui peer assessment online dengan memanfaatkan jejaring facebook. Kendala utama pemanfaatan facebook untuk peer assessment online adalah permasalahan teknis seperti jaringan internet yang kurang mendukung dan keberadaan  hacker. Kelebihannya adalah keleluasaan waktu, biaya yang rendah, kebebasan dan kenyamanan saat menilai. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah jejaring facebook dapat digunakan dalam peer assessment online untuk menilai sikap ilmiah siswa. Kata kunci: Facebook, Peer Assessment Online, Sikap Ilmiah, Hasil Kerja Praktikum.

Abstract

Abstract The aims of this research were to find out: (1) correlation between critical thinking skills and science literacy, (2) indentify the instructional model that is better to improve student’s critical thinking skills, and (3) indentify the instructional model that is better to improve student’s science literacy. The research was quasi-experimental research that used randomized pretest-posttest comparison group design. The sampling technique used in this research was cluster random sampling. Data analysis technique used bivariate correlation product moment Pearsons andmultivariate test with significance level of 0.05. The results of this research indicate that: (1) there is a strong correlation between critical thinking skills and science literacy, (2) science technology society instructional model is better than problem-based-learning instructional model to improve student’s critical thinking skills, and (3) science technology society instructional model is better than problem-based-learning instructional model to improve student’s science literacy. Keywords: Problem-Based-Learning, Science Technology Society, Critical Thinking Skills, Science Literacy Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) korelasi antara keterampilan berpikir kritis dan literasi sains, (2) mengidentifikasi model pembelajaran yang lebih baik untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik, dan (3) mengidentifikasi model pembelajaran yang lebih baik untuk meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Randomized Pretest-Posttest Comparison Group Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji bivariat korelasi product moment Pearson dan multivariat dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat korelasi kuat antara keterampilan berpikir kritis dan literasi sains, (2)model STM lebih baik daripada PBL untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik, dan (3) model STM lebih baik dari pada model PBM untuk menigkatkan literasi sains peserta didik. Kata kunci:Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Pembelajaran Sains Teknologi  Masyarakat, Keterampilan  Berpikir Kritis, Literasi Sains

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the level of difficulty of learning chemistry students at SMAN X South Tangerang City. This research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2013/2014. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative method. Sample was taken by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques obtained through questionnaire which was then analyzed descriptively. The results showed an average percentage score of 70.15 which fall into the medium category. While the average for each indicator identified causes learning difficulties students on chemical subjects including physiological factors (physical / sensory) 74.5% (high category), psychology 69.78% (medium category), social aspects 68% (Category medium), infrastructure 58.75% (medium category), a method of learning 77% (high class), and a teacher of 77.17% (high category).Keywords: Learning Disabilities; Chemistry; Qualitative descriptive.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesulitan belajar kimia siswa di SMAN X Kota Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap pada tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui instrumen kuesioner yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan persentase skor rata-rata sebesar 70,15 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Sedangkan rata-rata untuk tiap indikator yang teridentifikasi menyebabkan kesulitan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran kimia diantaranya faktor fisiologis (jasmani/panca indera) sebesar 74,5% (Kategori tinggi), psikologi 69,78% (Kategori sedang), aspek sosial 68% (Kategori sedang), sarana dan prasarana 58,75% (Kategori sedang), metode belajar 77% (Kategori tinggi),  dan guru sebesar 77,17% (Kategori tinggi).Kata kunci: Kesulitan Belajar; Kimia; Deskriptif Kualitatif.

Abstract

Abstract The aims of this study to determine the increase in critical thinking skills and mastery of the concept after the application of abductive inquiry learning model at high school students. This research is motivated by the lack of mastery of concepts and critical thinking skills of the preliminary study in the same school. This study used a pre-experimental research design and one-group pretest-posttest design involving 33 students of class X in one high school in Bandung. Aspects of critical thinking skills measured is the interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanatory, while the measured aspects of mastery of concepts is remain, understanding and analalisis. The results of analysis of pretest-posttest scores showed that abductive inquiry learning model can improve critical thinking skills with an average value of 0.47 with a normalized gain medium category. If considered each aspect, all aspects of critical thinking skills with moderate category, explanatory aspects showed the greatest increase is 0.68. Abductive inquiry learning model can also improve the mastery of concepts with an average value of 0.62 normalized gain. All aspects of the concept of mastery increases the medium category, the aspect of the analysis showed the greatest increase in the amount of 0.65 Keywords : abductive inquiry learning model, critical thinking skills, and mastery of the concept Abstrak   Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep setelah penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri abduktif pada siswa SMA. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis dari hasil studi pendahuluan di sekolah yang sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pre eksperimen dan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design yang melibatkan 33 siswa kelas X di  salah satu SMA di kota Bandung. Aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis yang diukur adalah interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, dan eksplanasi, sedangkan aspek penguasaan konsep yang diukur adalah mengingat, pemahaman dan analalisis. Hasil analisis dari skor pretest-posttest didapatkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri abduktif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan nilai rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi 0,47 dengan kategori sedang. Jika ditinjau tiap aspek, semua aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan kategori sedang, aspek eksplanasi menunjukan peningkatan paling besar yaitu 0,68. Model pembelajaran inkuiri abduktif juga dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dengan nilai rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi 0,62. Semua aspek penguasaan konsep meningkat dengan kategori sedang, aspek analisis menunjukan peningkatan yang paling besar yaitu sebesar 0,65.  Kata Kunci :  Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Abduktif, Keterampilan Berpikir Krtis, Penguasaan Konsep

Abstract

Abstract This study raised the issue about the low quality of education is reflected in the low average academic achievement, especially high school students (SMP). The cause of the low quality of education was allegedly due to lack of teacher skills in managing information resources in a medium of learning. From this background then this research tries to apply the instructional media that are considered effective in improving learning outcomes of computer-based learning tutorial model. This study aims to find out how to use computer-based learning tutorial model to improve student learning outcomes compared with conventional models in teaching science in Serang district. The method used in this research is Quasi Experiment and descriptive method, which became the target population in this study all the students of SMP Negeri Serang, while the entire student population of inaccessibility is a Class VII SMP Negeri 1 Pamarayan SMP Negeri 2 Pamarayan with each school is taken two classes. To determine the two groups will be conducted using purposive sampling technique. Samples of each class taken as many as 36 students. The results of this study concluded that: (1) computer-based learning tutorial model to improve student learning outcomes if followed with high interest and ability to operate a computer, (2) the success of computer-based learning tutorial model in improving learning outcomes SMPN 1 Pamarayan and SMPN 2 Pamarayan because the factors supporting the success of computer-based learning has been met very well, both in terms of infrastructure, the ability of teachers and students and time available in the computer lab. (3) computer-based learning tutorial model effectively to improve student learning outcomes if the inhibiting factors of computer-based learning tutorial model can be resolved by way of complementary infrastructure, provide computer training for teachers and arranging the schedule of computer labs organized. The success of computer-based learning tutorial model to improve student learning outcomes at SMPN1 Pamarayan and SMPN 2 Pamarayan caused by the inhibiting factors of success learning computer based tutorial model can be overcome with good. The implication for teachers in applying computer-based learning model should be through the planning, implementation and evaluation.  Keyword: Computer Based Learning, Learning Result  Abstrak Penelitian ini diangkat dari permasalahan tentang masih rendahnya mutu pendidikan yang tercermin dari rendahnya rata-rata prestasi belajar, khususnya siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP).Penyebab rendahnya mutu pendidikan disinyalir karena kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam mengelola sumber informasi dalam sebuah media pembelajaran. Dari latar belakang tersebut kemudian penelitian ini mencoba menerapkan media pembelajaran yang dianggap efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar yaitu pembelajaran berbasis komputer model Tutorial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemanfaatan pembelajaran berbasis komputer model Tutorial untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dibandingkan dengan model Konvensional pada mata pelajaran IPA di kabupaten Serang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kuasi Eksperimen dan metode deskriptif, yang menjadi populasi sasaran dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa SMP Negeri Kabupaten Serang, sedangkan populasi terjangkaunya adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pamarayan dan SMP Negeri 2 Pamarayan dengan masing-masing sekolah diambil dua kelas. Untuk menentukan kedua kelompok tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling.Sampel setiap kelas diambil sebanyak 36 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Pembelajaran berbasis komputer model Tutorial dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa apabila diikuti dengan minat yang tinggi dan kemampuan mengoperasikan komputer, (2) keberhasilan pembelajaran berbasis komputer model Tutorial dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar SMPN 1 Pamarayan dan SMPN 2 Pamarayan dikarenakan faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran berbasis komputer telah terpenuhi dengan baik, baik dari segi sarana prasarana, kemampuan guru dan siswa serta waktu yang tersedia dalam menggunakan laboratorium komputer. (3) pembelajaran berbasis komputer model Tutorial efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa apabila faktor penghambat dari pembelajaran berbasis komputer model Tutorial tersebut dapat teratasi dengan cara melengkapi sarana prasarana, memberikan pelatihan komputer untuk guru serta pengaturan jadwal penggunaan laboratorium komputer terorganisir dengan baik. Keberhasilan pembelajaran berbasis komputer model Tutorial untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di SMPN 1 Pamarayan dan SMPN 2 Pamarayan disebabkan karena faktor penghambat dari keberhasilan pembelajaran berbasis komputer model Tutorial dapat teratasi dengan baik.Implikasinya agar guru dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis komputer hendaknya melalui perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran Berbasis Komputer,Hasil Belajar

Abstract

This research is aims to develop the local excellences-based teaching materials of South Sumatera for science learning in elementary school. This teaching materials are designed and manufactured with local pre-eminent items in South Sumatra and adapted to the subject matter taught in science learning in elementary school. This research is a development research using ADDIE development model and Tessmer evaluation method. The development stages in this research include analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Evaluation of prototypes is conducted by: self evaluation, expert reviews, one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation, and field test evaluation. Prototypes are validated by experts in materials, constructs, language, and media. The instruments used are questionnaires, observation sheets, test results and product assessment sheets. The result of the research shows that the teaching materials based on local excellences of South Sumatera are valid and after being tested in one to one, small group evaluation, field test evaluation of this teaching materials are considered practical. In conclusion, the teaching materials based on local excellences of South Sumatra are feasible to be used for science learning in elementary school.

Abstract

AbstractThe purposes of this research were to improve the students’ problem-solving skills, and classroom emotional environment climate using project based learning models on the environmental issues material. Subjects in this study were students of S-1 Biology Education Department in University of Muhammadiyah Sukabumi. The method used in this study is a quasi-experiment with two sample classes and using pre-test post-test control group design. Data were collected by using a task of problem-solving skills, emotional environment classroom climate’s questionnaire and interview guides. Implementation of the study began with a pretest continued with learning activity and ended with posttest. The results showed that problem-solving skills and emotional environment classroom climate have improved both in the experimental classroom and in the comparator classroom. The significance test results by using a Mann Whitney non-parametric test showed that problem-solving skills and emotional environment classroom climate in the experimental class were differ significantly with the comparator classroom. Abstract

Abstract Based on data from the observation of high school students grade XI that daily low student test scores due to a lack of role of students in the learning process. This classroom action research aims to improve learning outcomes and student motivation through discovery learning method in colloidal material. This study uses the approach developed by Lewin consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used the questionnaires and ability tests end. Based on the research that results for students received a positive influence on learning by discovery learning model by increasing the average value of 74 students from the first cycle to 90.3 in the second cycle and increased student motivation in the form of two statements based competence (KD) categories (sometimes) on the first cycle and the first statement KD category in the second cycle. Thus the results of this study can be used to improve learning outcomes and student motivation. Keywords: Discovery Learning Method, Learning Outcomes, Student Motivation, Colloid
