Abstract

The difference in the value of the current flowing in each phase conductor in a power distribution network, causes an unbalanced state. The unbalanced state of a power grid will result in an increase in power losses. This study is conducted by analyzing balanced state power losses and unbalanced state under peak load conditions at JTR and SR of K8585 distribution relay, unbalance burden on secondary distribution network KA 2085 has resulted in the loss of load-balanced power of peak load time of 0.104 kW with a loss-loss prosenase of 0.33%. While the losses for unbalanced load peak load time of 0.211 kW with a percentage loss of 0.69%.

Abstract

The area of South Bali is a tourist attraction that has many hotel buildings, villas, and tourism sector as well as a venue for the implementation of National and International events. Causing the burden on the Nusa Dua Main Entity will increase. Along with the load development, Nusa Dua Substation must be able to supply from GIS Airport and GIS Pesanggaran. Forecast load using linear regression to obtain the value of the development of the transformer load and power supply up to 5 years.The calculation of the growth rate of the transformer load of the Nusa Dua Substation Transformer is 8.9% per year, and the calculation of 2018 in Transformer 1 is 113.38A Trans-former 2 about 124.3A, and the Transformer 3 is 137.09A. The calculation results of the growth rate of power supply through the transmission of 150 Kv to the Nusa Dua Substation is 179,612A supplied from GIS airport, and 238.32A from GIS Pesanggaran. The difference between load and power supply in 2018 is 18.53A (0.430%) of GIS Airport and 24.53A (0.570%) of GIS Pesanggaran. Transformer 3 in 2025 is not capable of carrying the load, Transformer 2 can not loads in 2026, and Transformer 1 is not able to the burden in 2027. So that required the addition of new Transformer or construction of new substation in the area of increasing load.Keywords: growth rate, power supply, transformer.

Abstract

This study aims to compare VMware server virtualization technology and Xen server that simulates hardware into the software. In order to share loads can be balanced on both virtual servers, this research used HAproxy as Load Balancing which is implemented on Apache Web Server so performance from CPU usage side, memory and access speed from VMware and Xen server virtualization can be compared. By comparing these two models, it is expected to be used as a reference for selecting virtualization models for shared resource needs on one or more physical servers. From the results of testing in this study, it was found that the performance of VMware is better than Xen when viewed from the CPU usage. CPU usage in VMware is lower than Xen with 1.57% when handling one website and 1.58% when handling two websites. In terms of memory usage Xen Server is more efficient in memory usage when compared to VMware, Xen is more efficient memory of 29.11% and 34.84% for handling one and two websites when compared to VMware. While in terms of data access speed on Xen faster than VMware, which is about 42,132 Kbps.

Abstract

Inductive load with low power factor has led to the greater load current so that it is required a power factor improvement. Improvement of power factor in inductive load can be carried out by installing capacitor according to required proportion. Installation of capacitors can be used in parallel or series to electric source.The method of making design is divided into two parts, namely, the first is the designing of hardware and the second is the designing of the software. The designing of hardware consists of designing the power supply circuit, driver relay circuit, LCD circuit, minimum system circuit of ATmega 328P, capacitor bank circuit, current sensor circuit and voltage sensor circuit. The sensors used in this study were a non-invasive type SCT013-010 current sensor and a voltage sensor of a 500 mA type zero transformer. The design of software was in the form of work program tools that use the application of Arduino IDE. LCD displays the readout values of voltage, load current, active power, apparent power, reactive power and power factor. The ATmega 328P microcontroller processes data and determines the working relay so that the purpose of power factor value by cos phi ? 0.85 is achieved. The results achieved in this research is the design of automatic bank capacitor based on microcontroller of ATmega 328P can improve power factor by conducting injection capacitor to raise the power factor value according to PLN standard by cos phi ? 0.85 by connecting capacitor to the source of PLN paralleled by a single phase inductive load.

Abstract

The Ramada Bintang and Ramada Camakila hotels have pools of nearly equal water, but these two pools have different pumping and pumping systems. Ramada Bintang uses two pumps 5 Pk works 12 hours while Ramada Camakila uses two pumps 1.5 Pk work 24 hours, the condition of both pools have the same clarity and water quality. In this study, electrical energy measurements were performed on each pump and calculated chlorine, ph and number of people taking bath in each swimming pool. The average electricity consumption per day on the Ramada Bintang hotel pumping system is Rp. 106,080 while Ramada Camakila Rp. 74,640, so the difference in electricity consumption for a year in both hotels is Rp. 10,579. 068 with the same water quality ratio.

Abstract

Wireless network is one of the most important things in the development of telecommunication. However, the existing wireless technology has not been able to efficiently create a very high data rate because it was very sensitive to fading. Therefore, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology combined with MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) transceiver system was used to gain more diversity and bandwidth efficiency. The propagation performed on the OFDM MIMO system was multipath propagation. To reduce Intersymbol Interference (ISI) was used Zero Forcing (ZF) equalizer which works by combining channel response and equalizer response itself to eliminate ISI. This study aims to determine the effect of Zero Forcing Equalizer on OFDM MIMO system using rayleigh fading channel and compared the result with OFDM MIMO STBC system. The research method used was simulation using MatLab R2015a. The simulation results showed that the performance of OFDM MIMO ZF system was worse than OFDM MIMO STBC system i.e BER vs EbNo simulation, eye diagram simulation, and constellation diagram simulation. The OFDM MIMO ZF system was required an Eb / No value more than 25 dB to achieve BER 10-4 while the OFDM MIMO STBC system only required an Eb / No value of 10.5 dB to achieve BER 10-4. The eye pattern generated by the OFDM MIMO ZF system was more closed and the dispersion of constellation signals away from the ideal point while OFDM MIMO STBC system displayed a more open eye pattern and the dispersion of its constellation signal closer to the ideal point. It indicated more ISI occurs in the OFDM MIMO ZF system than that in OFDM MIMO STBC system.

Abstract

VoIP is a technology used to communicate voice remotely and directly using data communication lines with TCP / IP protocol. But basically, VoIP communication does not guarantee data security when doing communication. A very important security system is added in VoIP communications to maintain the confidentiality of communication, so that communication can not be recorded and played back. To build a security when communicating VoIP, then in this study added an SRTP-TLS security system. The study was conducted on wireless networks by comparing the security of data communications when using the SRTP-TLS security system and without using a security system.Keywords: Wireless, Security System, VoIP

Abstract

Customer PT. PLN (Persero) has been getting prepaid and postpaid electric service programs, on postpaid electricity PT. PLN is still using conventional ways to monitor the electricity consumption of its customers. PLN officers must record meters, calculate and publish accounts to be paid by customers. In this study using electrical energy monitoring system using SMS that can measure and monitor the use of electrical energy in real time, using the method of direct measurement. Results from the current sensor readings and voltage sensors will be forwarded to the microcontroller to be converted into the amount of electrical energy consumption and the amount of payment in accordance with tariffs that have been determined PLN. The research was conducted in Basic Laboratory of Electrical Engineering, Laboratory of Energy Conversion, Laboratory of Workshop & Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University.

Abstract

Penyulang Arjuna is a medium voltage Network in supply from GI Pemecutan Kelod power with a capacity of 60 MVA, and channel length 10,202 km. Before mounted Recloser Double Six, the Reliability Index Penyulang Arjuna 0,4001 SAIFI value times/ customer/year, and the value of SAIDI 3,9355 hours/customers/year. Penyulang Arjuna never had 10 times the trip in the year 2015, thus affecting the level of reliability. To tackle these problems, in doing the installation of Recloser Double Six. Reliability analysis using the method of Section Technique. The results of the analysis after the installation of the Recloser Double Six is the value of SAIFI 0,2240 times/customer/year, and the value of SAIDI 2,0714 hours/ customers/year. With the declining value of SAIFI and SAIDI after mounting the Recloser Double Six, increased reliability and meet the standards of reliability index SAIFI of 3,2 times/year and SAIDI, amounting to 21 hours/year corresponding SPLN No. 68-2 years 1986.

Abstract

Pengimplementasian Long Term Evolution (LTE) di Bali mengalami kendala terutama dalam menjaga performansi jaringan yang diakibatkan oleh lonjakan data yang semakin meningkat dan kualitas coverage yang kurang maksimal. Maka perlu dilakukan pemeliharaan jaringan untuk mengetahui kualitas dari suatu jaringan yang dapat dilakukan melalui pengamatan secara real di lapangan dengan pengukuran parameter 4G LTE pada suatu wilayah yang belum optimal. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan Drive Test menggunakan software GENEX Probe dan analisa hasil drive test menggunakan software GENEX Assistant. Adapun parameter yang diukur antara lain RSRP, SINR, RSSI, RSRQ, CQI, PCI dan PDCP Throughput yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan standar KPI XL. Hasil dan analisa diperoleh nilai RSRP sebesar 93,36% > -105 dBm, SINR sebesar 91,14% > 3 dB, PDCP DL Throughput sebesar 92,18% > 5 Mbps dan PDCP UL Throughput sebesar 88,73% > 3 Mbps yang belum memenuhi standar KPI XL sebesar 95% diakibatkan oleh faktor variasi obstacle sehingga terjadi area bad spot pada beberapa titik wilayah. Optimalisasi yang dilakukan menggunakan metode mekanikal tilt dengan mengubah tilt antena dari 20 menjadi 30 pada area bad spot menyebabkan peningkatan performansi RSRP sebesar 3,49%, SINR sebesar 5,91%, PDCP Download Throughput sebesar 4,7% dan PDCP Upload Throughput sebesar 10,73% dari standar Key Performance Indicator (KPI) XL.
