Abstract

Surabaya as the second largest metropolitan city in Indonesia after Jakarta has a population of 2,864,471 people.High Economic growth and business in the city of Surabaya have an influence on the demand for housing and land so that property prices in the Surabaya area increased 25-30 percent annually. Young couples who just got married at a relatively young age and have not been classified as a well-established couple need place to stay, but problemscan arise if they expect a proper residence in the city of Surabaya. This study aims to determine the priority of factors that affect young couples in choosing a residence, so that they have to knowthe concept of residence expected by a young couple in the cityof Surabaya. Based on the literature, factors identified include: building area, land area, accessibility, physical and environmental criteria, facilities and residential services, home price, type of work, and the amount of income. This study used a survey method using questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents with expert criteria,i.e. those who have been experienced or skilled in the area. Preference measurement is done by pair-wise comparisonsof factors that affectyoung couple choosing residential follows the rating principle of Saaty (1986). Data analysis methods used Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP)to obtain the priority factors influencing young couple in the city of Surabayafor choosing the residence. The results showed that the concept of residence expected by young couple in the city of Surabaya is influenced by factors such as the following, which are ranked from the most dominant by weight: land area factors(21.7%),accessibility factors (18.8%), physical characteristic and residential environmental factors(17.6%), facility and residential service (13.5%),factor in home prices (8.9%), factor of building area (8.8%), factors of income level (7.0%), factor of the type ofwork(3,7 %). Keywords : AHP, FAHP, residential characteristic factors, young couples

Abstract

Abstract: Work accidents that occur on the construction project will be one of the causes of the disruption or cessation of activities of the project work. The construction sector is the highest contributor to work accidents and occupational illness in Bali. Rampant construction of temporary lodging facilities or hotels in Bali can be one of the contributors to accidents. This study aims to determine the potential hazard and any dominant risk contained in a hotel development process as well as provides preventive measures to reduce such risks. In this research, the method used was descriptive qualitative. The risk of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) was identified through JSA (Job Safety Analysis). Questionnaire survey was carried out to get feedback from the experts regarding the potential hazards identified. The dominant category of risk assessment that was rated by the concept of ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable). The research identified 45 of dominant risks contained in the phase of work structures including 43 risks classified as high risk such as : exposed to maneuver heavy equipment and vehicles, heavy equipment rolled because the excavated area slid down/ subsided, cross rope of Tower Crane disconnected / entangled on the operation, the charge fell from Tower Crane and as many as two risks were classified as very high risk (extreme risk) that is : exposed to maneuver mixer and swing Tower Crane over the edge area of the project. The risks tended to be sourced in the work environment factors and work equipment. In order to minimize the impact of K3 risks, it is necessary to conduct risk control, evaluation activities in a daily, weekly, monthly periodic, considering a safe distance hazard source from workers, setting working hours, scenario procedures of an emergency, as well as safe work through work instruction to remind the importance of working in a healthy and safe condition.

Abstract

The present transport activities cause negative effects in the form of various kinds of diseases in the community. The government in this case, it makes use of the guidelines Noise Reduction Building (BPB) to reduce traffic noise. BPB in the design of Highways made ??of konblok ALWA (Artificial Low Weight aggregate) with a height of 2.75 meters was built along the road at a distance of 5 meters from the edge of the pavement. In this study, the noise level will be analyzed without and with unobstructed BPB. This study began from site selection studies, problem identification, goal setting research, development BPB, measuring noise levels without and with BPB analysis of the data and draw conclusions. From the analysis of the results obtained by calculation that the path chosen as the object of study, namely Jalan Uluwatu II Jimbaran without BPB has a noise value of 73.23 dB (A). While the values ??obtained BPB 61.85 decibels A, the value of this noise then most of the raw noise threshold has been exceeded so that some kind of designation of the area should be kept lying on the edge of the pavement. From the calculation of the distance from the edge of pavement to reduce noise levels in order to be secure appropriate noise threshold obtained for the allotment of residential, hospitals, schools and places of worship should be within 24.29 meters from the edge of the pavement. For government offices, public facilities should be located at a distance of 6.79 meters, while for offices, commerce, industry, services and stations could be placed as close as possible but still within the protection of BPB.

Abstract

COMPARATIVE MODEL OF MEASURED UNIT HYDROGRAPH WITH SYNTHETIC UNIT HYDROGRAPH (CASE STUDY OF TUKAD PAKERISAN WATERSHED) ABSTRACT Several methods and models of Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (SUH) have been developed to assist in the process of hydrological analysis within a Watershed. These methods include Snyder, Nakayasu, GAMA I, Limantara and ITB. The SUH methods are widely used by practitioners in calculating flood discharge, without knowing the deviations of these methods when compared to measured unit hydrographs in a watershed. This causes the SUH models give an overestimated or underestimated results to the measured unit hydrograph. Therefore, comparative SUH models are needed to determine the deviation of each model, and if necessary adjust the coefficient of the SUH model so that the SUH model approached the measured unit hydrograph in a watershed. Comparative studies of several SUH and measured unit hydrograph were performed on the Tukad Pakerisan watershed in Gianyar Regency-Bali. The measurable unit hydrograph comparisons on the watershed with the SUH Snyder, Nakayasu, GAMA I, Limantara, ITB-1 and ITB-2 models have significantly deviated results. This deviation is shown in three unit hydrograph parameters which include peak discharge (Qp), peak time (Tp), and base time (Tb). The SUH Snyder model with adjustment coefficient Ct = 0.800 and Cp = 1.052 very close to measured unit hydrograph of Tukad Pekerisan watershed with deviation less than 5%.

Abstract

By Pass Ngurah Rai is the only primary arterial road linking the traffic flow of people and goods from Ngurah Rai Airport to Nusa Dua. Peak hour traffic flow condition has exceeded the capacity of the road. To solve the above problems, it is planned to build toll roads Benoa-Bandara-Nusa Dua. The objectives of this study were to analyze the performance of existing roads with and without the toll road, the rates applicable to service users and to analyze the financial feasibility of the investment of the project.   Analysis was performed for several scenarios, including the scenario-1, assuming traffic growth factor of i = 9.96% / year, the interest rate 16% / year, inflation accounted for 8.506% / year and the toll rates using rates set by the Jasa Marga. All of the cost including land acquisition and construction costs were provided by investors. It was found that for the scenario-1, the  NPV is Rp 1,586,137,984,347, -, BCR: 0.4754 and IRR 3, 8676%. The results of the financial analysis indicated that investment of the toll roads Benoa-Bandara-Nusa Dua is not financially feasible. In order for this project to be financially feasible, the growth rate of vehicles should be at least i = 14.7% / year.

Abstract

Material models are always required to know the characteristics (physical and mechanical properties) of the soil layer at the site by using analysis of geotechnical studies that have been done in the field and in laboratories. Soils such as clay, silty clay and peat show a high degree of compressibility compared to other soils. In oedometer testing, the consolidated clay normally behaves up to ten times softer than the normally consolidated sand. This study aims to determine the soft consolidation behavior of soft clay primers by comparing the results obtained from finite element analysis calculations on Plaxis 2D with analytical calculations and survey measurements. Two different material models were used during finite element calculations, comparing the performance of Soft Soil Model, SSM models to the Mohr-Coulomb Model (MCM) model commonly used today. Practical geotechnical analysis of stability of embankment construction is done by using Plaxis 8 computer program, based on Finite Element Method to analyze deformation value and safety factor with construction phase of consolidation. Abstract

Abstract :One of the factor that influences the achievement of a project success is the role of a project manager. A reliable project manager, who knows his duties as a project leader and has the necessary competency requirements is needed to achieve the success of the project. The competence of a project manager can be measured by three aspects: knowledge, skill and attitude. This research  aims to analyze the relationship between project manager competencies (that measured by three independent variables, i.e. Knowledge, skills and attitude) and the success of the building construction project. Data was collected through a questionnaire survey. The sample/ respondents were the expertise in the field of building construction services those acts as a project manager. Data was analyzed  in three stages:first, factor analysis to reduce the variables into several groups of factors, that called as independent variables; second, correlation test with Pearson Correlation method to determine the correlation between independent variables  and dependent variable; lastly, perform multivariate regression analysis The results of factor analysis showed that the variables are formed into eleven groups, and the result of Pearson Correlation test showed only six groups correlated to project success, those are: Communication and Scope Management, Human Resource Management, which is part of knowledge; Leadership and Project Management, Professionalism and Issues Management as part of skill; and attitude concerning Responsibility, Vision and Priorities. The sixth group of these factors will be the independent variables in multivariate regression analysis. Based on multiple correlation test results, six independent variables simultaneously have a significant influence to the project success, proved by the result of probability value is 0,032.
