Abstract

Abstract : Youth Center is a place to contain activities for teenagers in spare time, to distribute the hobby, to developing talents and interests, to find and meet friends, or sometimes just come because they feel bored. Teenagers can learn a variety of ability or even new ability which previously less or not at all under their control. Generally, the activities in the Youth Center activities include sports, arts, and education. In Indonesia, not all regions have satisfy facilities to accommodate the vairety of teenager' activities. Sukoharjo district, an area located in Central Java, bordering with Surakarta City, is one of the various regions in Indonesia are encountered this problem. The lack of facilities intended for teenagers in Sukoharjo, resulting in their less developed on aspects other than academic, because there is little space for them to learn about other things such as sports and the arts are more complex. Youth Center comes with a variety of facilities that can support a variety of positive activities teenagers. Human resourch in Sukoharjo which are given them a place to develop and explore themselves since teenagers and is expected to create a generation of achievers and can make glory for the name of Sukoharjo.

Abstract

Abstract: The communal spaces of the Kemlayan village is a container used as an expression of Kemlayan culture related to creative industries, social activities village and arts. This communal space is shared spaces that are molded into a tourist village in Surakarta to restore the image of Kemlayan as artisan village in Surakarta. Located in one of crowded areas in Surakarta, Kemlayan is very strategic and easily to reach from Slamet Riyadi street. It is local support also make it as an ideal tourist village. The problem in design that often arises is how to formulate the concept of Kemlayan communal spaces as a tourist village in Surakarta with contextual architecture approach. The methods used are the identification of problems arised with the function, roles and terms of the building which give the specification of the building physical expression into design concept. Abstract

Abstract:Lokananta Surakarta be one proof of the historical progress of Indonesian music industry. However, because the decline since the late 80s caused by many things, Lokananta gradually dropped prestige resulting in the lonely recording and production activities that culminate in the building neglected and not maintained. In 2014, Lokananta including the 100 buildings and the heritage area of Surakarta, this became the basis for the existence Lokananta preserved and developed. The problem faced is how to revitalize Lokananta that can accommodate all the activities that take place in it by promoting the principle of preservation and revitalization of existing noticed that existed at this time. The purpose of the revitalization Lokananta is generating Lokananta that can accommodate recording activities, recreation, and education. The application of revitalization is done with the protection and maintenance of the main building as well as by adding facilities supporting the activities of musical performances both indoors and outdoors, as well as the infrastructure of leisure activities and education in the form of exhibition venues associated with the development of music and collections owned by Lokananta with regard to rules of preservation and revitalization, and with regard to existing conditions. Revitalization Lokananta Surakarta produce Lokananta able to accommodate the activities of recording, performances, recreation and education and support facilities which can provide added value to Lokananta. Keywords: Lokananta Surakarta, Revitalization, Conservation, Preservation

Abstract

Nowadays cellular telecommunications has become one in our everyday activity. Cellular telecommunications is a method of communication over long distances using electromagnetic media that is divided into sections called cells. Issues underlying planning and design of the Cellular Telecommunications Museum in Surakarta, including the excessive use of cellular devices in Indonesia; high levels of cellular devices disposal that are not used but still feasible to use; indifference of society towards the use of cellular devices; the necessity for a place that act as information media for society and to take care the cellular devices; and the potentials of Surakarta as the museum site as seen from its history, economics, and social to cellular telecommunications. Design problem that arise from the existing issue is how to plan the museum as a place to storage, preservation, exhibitions, and educational for the cellular telecommunications technology in Surakarta. The objective of this design is to get the museum design as a place to storage, preservation, exhibitions, and educational for the cellular telecommunications technology in Surakarta. The result obtained is a museum design as a place to storage, preservation, exhibitions, and educational for the cellular telecommunications technology that can contribute on the use and maintenance of old mobile devices that are still feasible to use to the public through the focus of attracting public attention to visit the museum by the use of design aesthetic and arrangement of museum rooms which displays the features of cellular technology as a matter of museum collections, and also providing a place to supporting activities related to cellular technology. Keyword: Cellular Device, Cellular Telecommunications. Abstract

Nowadays, education is such a global priority and because of it, it is necessary for citizen to continue their education from Senior High School to Higher Education stage. Special Region of Yogyakarta is one of the most favorite destination to continue higher education. According to some researches in 2015, 70% of new university students came from outside Yogyakarta. Since there are so many students from outside Yogyakarta, the demand of student housing grows higher, especially for female students. A housing for students who came from outside Yogyakarta is necessary. This housing can be used as temporary place to live when they continue their study, while it also can support the student’s self-development in academic or non-academic activity. There are so many options of housing for female students, but a dormitory is the best option. A dormitory is the best option of housing for female students that can be provided with self-development facilities in academic or non-academic activity. This dormitory will be designed in a good way, so the female students as the user could get comfortable, motivated, and optimal in developing themselves. This dormitory also has to provide a serenity and comfort while the students doing their activity. In order to get those criteria, a study about behavioral architecture should be applied as a design approach. The studies of behavioral architecture that will be applied in design strategy are spatial analysis, site analysis, mass composition analysis, structure system and material analysis, and utility system. The analysis process that apply architecture behavioral study can give a result of dormitory design which give comfort when the user living and doing self-development activity.
