Abstract

This study aims to describe the difficulties in learning mathematical fraction calculations in Grade 5 at SD Poris Gaga 8. The research method employed is qualitative, specifically a case study involving students and teachers of Grade 5 at SD. Data collection is carried out through observation techniques and face-to-face interviews. The study's results on factors contributing to students' difficulties in learning material about fractions include both students' cognitive aspects and physical aspects related to fractions. The challenges in learning, considering the students' cognitive conditions, are influenced by their concentration levels during math lessons. This is often attributed to students' disinterest in studying mathematics, their tendency to become easily bored at school, and an unfavorable learning environment. Regarding the material aspects of learning fractional calculations, students face difficulties due to their lack of familiarity with common denominators, general understanding of denominators, and the fundamental concepts of multiplying and dividing fractions. Furthermore, when solving problems involving fraction division, students struggle to effectively model these problems using appropriate mathematical approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the difficulties faced by grade V students at SDN Karawaci 1 in solving story-shaped problems in mathematics subjects and identify factors that cause students to have difficulty learning mathematics. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were 5 grade V students of SDN Karawaci 1. Data collection techniques use observations, tests, interviews, and document studies. The results showed that the types of learning difficulties experienced by students in solving decimal fractional material story questions were 23 times students who had difficulty in understanding the questions, as many as 8 times students who had difficulty in using counting operations, as many as 11 times students who had difficulty solving questions, and as many as 21 times students who had difficulty in drawing conclusions. Factors that cause students to have learning difficulties are consisting of internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include students' attitudes in learning, student learning motivation, intellectual abilities and the health of the student's body. Meanwhile, external factors include the lack of variety of teaching methods used by teachers, the use of media that has not been maximized, school facilities and infrastructure, and a less supportive family environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the assessment of whole number material using place value media for second grade students at SDN Pasar Baru 1. Regarding knowledge in whole number material, second grade students still need concrete objects to understand whole number material. This is what makes the obstacles that occur in class II in whole number material, class II students have difficulty determining the place of numbers, many students are not careful in writing numbers in Latin and many students do not understand using dots on numbers. Therefore, the solution to overcome these obstacles is by using place value media because it can attract students' understanding to make it easier to understand the whole number material. This type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The research subjects were class II teachers. The results obtained in this research are that students achieve 95 and the lowest score is 50, this is important for students to increase their scores. In the assessment the teacher gives the appropriate value.

Abstract

The reason for this review is to make sense of the different difficulties looked by understudies while taking care of word issues connected with level shape material in grade VI utilizing the critical thinking strategy. Critical thinking technique As indicated by polya, which comprises of four phases: 1). Having an understanding of the issue Plan a way to solve problems (step 3). Implement the plan for solving problems (4). Verify the work's results once more. Measurements made of students and teachers in Class VI served as the foundation for this study. Understudies direct meetings, documentation, and perceptions, while educators lead interviews. As a result, the goal of this study was to find out how well sixth-grade students could olve problems using flat-shaped materials. The exploration results cover different kinds of hardships, for example, trouble figuring out, causal elements, and exertion. Working on a measurement of the story material also presents challenges; for instance, students struggle to identify questions, count, and draw conclusions. Factors causing trouble comprise of individual variables for every understudy connected with their review propensities, dominance of the material, and instructor help factors. Communicating the issues that were encountered, using communicative language to create story questions, frequently engaging in exercises, expanding the knowledge gained from solving story problems, employing responsive and contextual learning, offering individual guidance, providing motivation and rewards, and making use of learning media are all examples of these methods. That is every one of the instructor's endeavors that should be possible

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether learning science in the experimental class was different from learning science in the control class. Control Group Design Not Equivalent to Quasi Experimental Design is the research methodology used. A procedure called sampling makes use of multiple samples. The population of this research is 70 students of class IV. 35 students from class IV B became the control group, while 35 students from class IV C became the experimental group. Data collection techniques include tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. It can be concluded from the posttest findings that tangible learning materials have an impact on science learning outcomes for fourth grade students at SDN Bencongan 6 based on statistical analysis using the t-test at a significance level = 0.05% obtained tcount (4.10) > ttable (1.99).
