Abstract

Today's teens face challenges more than previous generations. The use of information and technology are mentioned as among the causes of problems for teenagers in Indonesia, such as; pornography, promiscuity, premarital sex, and low motivation to study. A positive parenting is needed to help adolescents build their resilience and self-esteem to deal with obstacles in their life. Previous research on parenting styles showed that parents who used strength-based parenting helped children to develop coping skills and increased self-esteem in teenagers. Strength-based parenting is used to identify and encourage teens to recognize and use their strengths in every aspect of their life. Thus, the current study was conducted to see this parental pattern's contribution to adolescents' resilience and self-esteem. The study was held on teenagers aged 11-18 from a family using Talents Mapping in Indonesia. Sixty responses were taken by using the Strength-Based Parenting Scale, Child Youth Resilience Measure-Revised, and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Data is analysed using a regression test. The findings showed that the effects of strength-based parenting on a teenager's self-esteem are positive and significant. It was also found that resilience is positively related to youth's self-esteem. Furthermore, strength-based parenting and resilience are simultaneously positive and significant on teenagers' self-esteem, as 10.4%.

Abstract

Eating habits develop during the first years of a child's life, children learn what, when, and how much to eat through direct experience with food and by observing the eating habits of others. The aim of this study is to get a clear picture of the Eating program Healthy, starting from the planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation as a case study of nutrition education; to get information about the advantages, disadvantages and effects of implementing a healthy eating program for children. This research was conducted through a case study with qualitative data analysed using Miles and Huberman techniques. Sample of children in Ananda Islāmic School Kindergarten. The results showed the Healthy Eating program could be implemented well, the diet was quite varied and could be considered a healthy and nutritious food. The visible impact is the emotion of pleasure experienced by children, children become fond of eating vegetables, and make children disciplined and responsible. Inadequate results were found due to the limitations of an adequate kitchen for cooking healthy food, such as cooking activities still carried out by the cook himself at the Foundation's house which is located not far from the school place; use of melamine and plastic cutlery for food; the spoon and fork used already uses aluminium material but still does not match its size; does not involve nutritionists. Abstract

This study focuses on improving childhood naturalist intelligence in understanding living organisms, particularly plants, and fostering creative activities. The study utilizes eco-print technique activities to facilitate this improvement. It also assesses the effectiveness of the eco-print technique in enhancing naturalist intelligence among children. It explores eco-printing techniques to boost the naturalist intelligence of 4-6-year-old children at SPS Taam Al-Hidayah, Bandung. The study involves 15 children aged 4-6 years as participants. Following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, the study employed the Classroom Action Research method, involving pre-cycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2 phases, each with planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The qualitative data is complemented by percentage values from each cycle, reflecting the progress in children's naturalist intelligence enhancement using the eco-print technique. The results include presentations of five indicators: pre-cycle, cycle I, and the final action in cycle II, showing values of 40.33%, 60.33%, and 84.33%, respectively

Abstract

The sensitive period in children is when physical and mental abilities are experienced, children can respond to every stimulus given by the environment around the child. In the development of each child, every child is different because each child has their uniqueness. It is during this difficult time that the development and improvement of each child requires special attention to all aspects of progress, including the improvement of machinery. Improved motor skills are the most common way to create development in children, both in the development of finely coordinated abilities and gross coordinated movements. Gross motor improvement requires proper feeling. Therefore, in research using quantitative methods, experiments aim to apply dance activities so that children's gross motor skills in group B can increase. This was done based on initial findings that in TK Aisyiyah 2 Sukabumi City, children's gross motor skills were still low, where in every rhythmic gymnastics activity and when play activities were carried out, children were still carried out heavily, not yet seen agile.
