Abstract

This study aims to analyze: the implementation of the practicum and problems that occur in the implementation of practicum in junior high school in Kecamatan Rajabasa Bandar Lampung. The samples of this research were science teacher of class VII taken by purposive sampling technique. Qualitative research data were obtained from questionnaires, interviews, photographs or videos, worksheet observation sheets, stages of practicum implementation, LKS-Practicum/LKPD-Practicum, and science teacher profile from instrument triangulation techniques. This research data were analyzed descriptively by Milles and Huberman technique model. The result of this research showed that the practicum implementation with the average that was very good criteria and the stages of the practice was very good criteria, and the teacher ability in the preparation of LKS-Practicum/LKPD-Practicum was very good. Problems that occur in the implementation of laboratory tools were practicum like a microscope, and materials such as plant and animal microscopic preparations.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan praktikum dan permasalahan yang terjadi di SMP se-Kecamatan Rajabasa Kotamadya Bandar Lampung. Sampel penelitian adalah guru IPA kelas VII yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari angket, wawancara, foto atau video, lembar observasi permasalahan praktikum, tahapan pelaksanaan praktikum, LKS-praktikum/LKPD-praktikum, dan biodata mengenai pendidikan guru IPA yang diambil dengan teknik triangulasi instrumen. Data penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan teknik model Milles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan praktikum dengan rata-rata persentase pelaksanaan praktikum yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa berkriteria sangat baik dan tahapan pelaksanaan praktikum berkriteria sangat baik, serta kemampuan guru dalam menyusun LKS-praktikum/LKPD-praktikum berkriteria sangat baik. Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pelaksanaan praktikum yaitu keterbatasan alat untuk praktikum seperti mikroskop, dan keterbatasan bahan seperti preparat awetan tumbuhan dan hewan.Kata kunci: guru IPA, pelaksanaan praktikum, permasalahan praktikum

Abstract

This research aimed to know teachers ability in designing of biology in Senior High school all over sample of this research Regency. The Biology teachers of ninth grade were selected as sample of this research by using random sampling. The data of this research were quantitative data in form of scoring teachers ability in designing lesson plan and qualitative data in form of decretive data. This research used descriptive data analysis in from scoring and percentage. The result showed that some of the biology teachers of ninth grade were in the category of High and the variation was 83,33% and 86,11%. Then there were five teachers in category of Medium with variation werw 66,66%,57,77%, 63,88%,55,55% and 58,33%. There were two teacher in category of Low with variation were 44,44% and 47,22%.It can be concludedthat the teachers ability on making lesson plan was medium with the average62,37%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam membuat Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) Biologi SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran biologi kelas XI, yang dipilih secara random sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa kemampuan guru dalam membuat RPP dan data kualitatif berupa data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian kecil guru biologikelas XI berkategori tinggi dengan variasi 83,33% dan 86,11%, Kemudian terdapat 5 guru berkategori sedang dengan variasi 66,66%, 55,77%, 63,88%, 55,55% dan 58,33%, Dan terdapat 2 guru berkategori rendah dengan variasi 44,44% dan 47,22%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan guru biologi dalam membuat RPP yaitu berkategori sedang dengan rata-rata 62,37%.Kata kunci : profil guru, RPP, biologi

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in learning outcomes using Guided Inquiry learning model with Guided Discovery in Human Population Density Influence matter to the Environment. The design of research was the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Quantitative data were such as cognitive learning results obtained from the value of pretest, posttest, and N-gain were analyzed using t test and U at the level of 5%. Qualitative data were the data obtained from the affective observation sheet and analyzed descriptively. The Results showed that the average of N-gain using Guided Inquiry was higher (61.87%) compared to Guided Discovery (26.53%). The average percentage of affective student experiment class I (83.33%) and experiment II (81.62%) had a good criteria. Thus there is a difference between Guided Inquiry learning model with Guided Discovery on student learning outcomes.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar dalam menggunakan model pembelajaranGuided InquirydenganGuided Discoverypada materi Pengaruh Kepadatan Populasi Manusia Terhadap Lingkungan. Desain penelitian ini berupathe randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar ranah kognitif yang diperoleh dari nilai pretes, postes, danN-gainyang dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U pada taraf kepercayaan 5%. Data kualitatif berupa data afektif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rataN-gainmenggunakanGuided Inquirylebih tinggi (61,87%) dibandingkanGuided Discovery(26,53%). Rata-rata persentasi afektif siswa kelas eksperimen I (83,33%) dan eksperimen II (81,62%) memiliki kriteria baik. Abstract

The results of interviews with teachers in high school biology class XI Swadhipa Natar, it is known that subjects, especially biology subject matter Digestive System Food is delivered by using the method of discussion. Though this material has special characteristics that examine the mechanisms of complex processes that are difficult to understand, and involve organs that correspond to the structure and function of complex. The purpose of this study is to determine effect of Predict, Observe, Explain And (POE)  learning model  on student’s  learning activities  and mastering  of  Food Digestion System  concepts  of  Swadhipa  high school students. This  a quasi-experimental  strudy  used pretest-posttest  with non-equivalent dsigned. The  sample   were  students of  class   XI IPA2 as the experimental group and class XI IPA1 as a control  which was  selected from the population at random cluster sampling. Data was collected   as  in  percentage form.   The students’ actvities observed consists of five (5)  abilities of predicting, observing, describing, working together, and making conclusion. The study resulted that POE learning model  could enhanced the students’  predicting  ability  up to 20%,  observing ability up to 19%, describing ability up to 24%,  abity to work together up to 22,8%, and  ability of making onferences up to 16%

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find the improvement of student’s critical thinking skill by the use of school environment. This research used pretest-posttest non-equivalent research method. Samples were class VII3 and class VII4 and they were taken using purposive sampling technique. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest, posttest and N-gain, and they were processed using tests of normality, homogeneity, t1, t2, and U. The qualitative data were students’ learning activities and questionnaires of students’ responses and they were processed descriptively. The results showed that the use of school environment could improve student’s critical thinking skill. This could be seen from N-gain 67.91 that was higher and different significantly and 80.21% students’ learning activities. The aspect of cooperation with classmates was the highest activity of students. In addition, most of students (±65%) expressed positive responses. The conclusion is that the use of school environment could improve the students’ critical thinking skills and students’ learning activities at ecosystem subject material. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-postest non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII3 dan VII4 dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari pretest, posttest, dan N-gain diolah menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, t1, t2, dan U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa diolah secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dilihat dari N-gain 67,91 lebih tinggi serta berbeda signifikan dan aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 80,21%,  aspek bekerjasama dengan teman merupakan aktivitas tertinggi dari siswa. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa (±65%) memberikan tanggapan positif. Dengan demikian pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem.Kata kunci  :  ekosistem, keterampilan berpikir kritis, lingkungan sekolah, sumber belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of multimedia through the discussion methode on the learning activities and discussions on mastery of concepts by students. The study design was a pretest - posttest non equivalent. Samples were VII2  and VII3 elected cluster random sampling. This research data the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest, posttest and N-gain were analyzed using U. Qualitative data was the student activity description. The results showed that the effectiveness of the use of multimedia through the discussion method can improve student learning activities with an average N-gain of 86.81%. Mastery of concepts also increased by an average of 33.59% N-gain. Thus, learning using multimedia via the method of discussion influential in increasing the activity of learning and mastery of concept student  in the ecosystem subject matter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan multimedia melalui metode diskusi terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes - postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII2 dan VII3 yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif  diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif adalah deskripsi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas penggunaan multimedia melalui metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain 86,81%, dan penguasaan konsep mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain 33,59%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia melalui metode diskusi berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem.Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, ekosistem, metode diskusi, multimedia,  penguasaan konsep

Abstract

This research aimed to figure out the correlation of blood group with learning style, motivation performance and learning achievement. The design of this research was descriptive correlation by using total sampling technique. The research data of students learning achievement score were obtained from writing test. Students learning style, motivation performance and teachers teaching style data were obtained from observation paper and questionnaires. The researchs data showed that there was no significant correlation between blood group and learning style, motivation performance and learning achievement. However, the analysis result of motivation performance showed the significant differences between AB and B. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are no significant correlation of blood group with learning style, motivation performance and learning achievement.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara golongan darah dengan gaya belajar, motivasi berprestasi, dan prestasi belajar biologi. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriftif korelasi dengan teknik total sampling, sebanyak 136 siswa-siswi. Data hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dengan tes tertulis dan data gaya belajar, motivasi berprestasi siswa, serta gaya mengajar guru diperoleh dari angket dan lembar observasi. Data Hasil penelitian dianalilis menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman Rho dan Tukey ANOVA yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara golongan darah dengan gaya belajar, motivasi berprestasi dan prestasi belajar. Namun, hasil analisis motivasi berprestasi, siswa bergolongan darah AB dan B menunjukkan beda yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa golongan darah tidak memiliki hubungan yang sinergis dan signifikan dengan gaya belajar, motivasi berprestasi dan prestasi belajar belajar biologi.Kata Kunci: gaya belajar, golongan darah, motivasi berprestasi, prestasi belajar

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the students’ critical thinking ability through TSTS and GW model in excretion system subject and students activity in teaching leaning process.The design of this research was pretest-posttest non equivalent. The research sample was students of XI IPA 1 as the first experimental class and XI IPA 2 as the second experimental class that was taken by cluster random sampling technique. The quantitative data was taken from pretest and posttest score and also N-gain that was analyzed by t-test on the level accurate of 95%. The qualitative data was the students’ critical thinking ability, data of students’ learning activities and questionnaire of students’ reaction on TSTS and GW model.The result of this research shown that TSTS model has been more increasing students’ critical thinking ability than GW model, it was shown by N-gain score on TSTS class (44,03) while in the GW class (32,30). The highest increasing indicator of students’ critical thinking ability was giving argument (32,74%), while the highest GW indicator was doing deduction (31,15%). The average of students’ activity in TSTS class was 84.44 while in GW class was 77,51. Abstract

The purpose was to determine student’s cooperation quality and achievement using group discussion methods. The design was simple descriptive. Subjects were VII A randomly selected by random sampling cluster technique. Research data form quantitative  data namely student learning outcomes obtained from pretest and posttest, and qualitative data form cooperation quality. Data analyzed using simple statistical form descriptive percentage. Research students cooperation quality increased with average 50% good criteria, 23.62% very well criteria, and 26.39 poorly criteria. All indicator of cooperation quality increased. Learning outcomes students increased by medium criteria on individual results (gain score 0.65), group result 0.35. So, cooperation quality on good criteria and student learning outcomes on medium criteria in learning using group discussion methods.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kualitas kerjasama dan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok. Desain penelitian ini deskriptif sederhana. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yaitu hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari pretest dan postest, dan data kualitatif berupa kualitas kerjasama siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik sederhana yakni deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian kualitas kerjasama mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 50 % berkriteria baik, 23,62 % berkriteria sangat baik, dan 26,39 berkriteria kurang baik. Seluruh indikator kualitas kerjasama mengalami peningkatan. Hasil belajar siswa berkriteria sedang pada hasil individu (skor gain  0,65), hasil kelompok sebesar 0,35. Jadi, kualitas kerjasama berkriteria baik dan hasil belajar siswa berkriteria sedang pada pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok. Kata kunci :  hasil belajar, kualitas kerjasama, metode diskusi, pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of audio-visual media to the improvement of  students learning activities and concept mastery. The samples of this research were the students of XC as the experimental class and XB as a control class. The quantitative data was obtained from the pretest, postest and N-gain which is statistically analyzed using U-test. The qualitative data in the form of students activities  were analyzed descriptively. The result of the research showed that the  average of learning activity and concept mastery by the students in experimental class was improved. The students learning activity was improve  6.88%±0,04, the mastery concept of students was improve with average N-gain 51,18%±15,03. It can be concluded that learning through audio-visual media as a media of learning has an effect in improvement of learning activities and concept mastery by the students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media audio-visual terhadap peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XC sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XB sebagai kelas kontrol. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes, postes dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa hasil observasi aktivitas siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan. Aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 6,88%±0,04, penguasaan konsep  siswa meningkat dengan rata-rata N-gain  51,18%±15,03. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran menggunakan media audio-visual sebagai media pembelajaran berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, media audio-visual, pencemaran lingkungan, penguasaan konsep
