Abstract

The aim of the article was to give information of the ability of college students to write scientific paper. The type of research used was qualitative with narrative design. The research was conducted in January to April 2018 at Lampung University. Method used was an analysis of paper documents written by college students that were enrolled in Cell Biology Course in Academic Year of 2009/2010. The structure of paper writing was analyzed and compared to the writing guidance issued by Lampung University. Result of observation indicated that (a) there were 23 paper titles on Cell Biology (b) 51.09% of the papers used writing structure in accordance to the writing guidance and the remaining 48.91% were not, and (c) 100% of the content of the paper was copy paste or a repetition of text materials that are compiled and made as a paper. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah memberikan informasi mengenai kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis makalah ilmiah. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu kualitatif dengan rancangan Naratif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Januari sampai dengan April 2018, bertempat di Universitas Lampung. Metode yang digunakan berupa analisis dokumen makalah yang ditulis oleh Mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Biologi Sel Tahun Akademik 2009/2010.  Struktur tulisan makalah dianalisis dan disandingkan dengan tatatulis yang dikeluarkan oleh Universitas Lampung.  Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan   bahwa (a) terdapat 23 judul makalah mengenai Biologi Sel; (b) sebanyak 51,09%  makalah  menggunakan struktur tulisan yang sesuai dengan pedoman penulisan  dan 48,91% tidak sesuai; (c) sebanyak 100%  bagian isi makalah  berupa salin rekat (copy paste) atau pengulangan bahan bacaan yang disusun dan dijadikan makalah. Kata kunci: menulis makalah, pembelajaran Biologi Sel, refleksi diri

Abstract

This experiment aimed to find out the use of the applicating active index card match (ICM) strategy towards the students cognitive result. The research designs was non equivalent pretest – posttest. The research sample were students in XA and XB class that was selected by random sampling. Data of the research were qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data was gotten by students learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t-test and U-test. Result of this study shown that the average of students outcomes in experimental class are higher than control (experiment= 65.92; control = 47.75). The average of percentase student learning activities in all observed aspects in experimental class shown that it was higher enhancement than control (experiment = 80.74; control = 62.66). The students also gives positive responses to applicating of active index card match (ICM) strategy.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan strategi pembelajaran aktif index card match (ICM) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XA dan XB dipilih secara random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar  kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 65.92; kontrol = 47.75). Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa semua aspek kelas eksperimen juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 80.74; kontrol = 62.66). Selain itu, semua siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan strategi pembelajaran aktif index card match (ICM).Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar kognitif, index card match, strategi aktif

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of using picture card media toward students rational thinking skill. The research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were X5  and X6 that was choosen by cluster random  sampling method. The data of research were  quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data was taken from the average of  pretest and posttest scores which statistically analyzed with t-test using SPSS 17.0  in 95% confidence levels. The qualitative data which was analyzed descriptively were students learning activities and students responses about applicating picture card media through cooperative learning model type Group Investigation. The result of the  research showed that there was no significant effect of picture card media toward students rational thinking skill (tcounting  (1,412) ttable (1,671)). Most of student learning activities categorized as high average (76,57 %). Furthermore the students gave positive responses to this research.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media kartu bergambar terhadap keterampilan berpikir rasional siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-postest kelompok non-ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X5dan X6 yang dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random  sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan  kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari  rata-rata nilai pretest dan postest dan dianalisis secara statistik melalui uji t dengan program SPSS 17.0 dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Data kualitatif yang dianalisis secara deskriptif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa dan  tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan media kartu bergambar melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan media kartu bergambar terhadap keterampilan berpikir rasional siswa (thitung  (1,412) ttabel (1,671) ). Sebagian besar  aktivitas belajar siswa berkriteria  tinggi (76,57 %). Selain itu, sebagian besar  siswa  memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penelitian ini. Kata kunci: group investigation, keterampilan berpikir rasional, media kartu bergambar

Abstract

This research was intended to increase activity and the students’ comprehension. The design of the research was pretest-posttest group design. The sample of this research was the students of VIIA and VIIB class which was chosen by cluster random sampling. The qualitative data was a description of students’ learning activity and questionnaire of students’ response. The quantitative data was gained by the average of result test which was analyzed using T-Test and U-Test. The result showed that there was an increasing of students’ activity with the average percentage of the observed  of 85.41%. Students’ comprehension also had an increasing with the average of pretest (47.34); posttest (53.90); and N-gain (12.45). The result of data analysis showed that N-gain of students’ comprehension in every indicator was 22.57 in C1 and 3.65 in C2. Therefore, the use of examples non examples teaching model was increasing of students’ learning activity and students’ comprehension.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest group design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB  yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai tes yang di analisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan persentase rata-rata aktivitas yang diamati sebesar 85,41%. Penguasaan konsep juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata nilai pretes (47,34); postes (53,90); dan N-gain (12,45). Hasil analisis 22,57 untuk C1 dan 3,65 untuk C2. dengan menunjukan bahwa N-gain pada penguasaan konsep siswa. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran examples non examples meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan konsep siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, model pembelajaran examples non examples, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

Based on interviews with seventh grade science teacher at SMPN1 Sukoharjo, known that the average student learning outcomes was low. Therefore, researcher interested in studying the application of Take and Give learning model as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes. Samples were VIIAand VIIC graders selected by purposive sampling. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest and posttest were analyzed statistically using t-test and N- gain using U test. Qualitative data analyzed from the learn activities of student descriptively. The results showed that the use of cooperative learning model Take and Give improving student learning outcomes significantly with an average N-gain was medium (0.5). This was supported by increased learning activities of student put forward the idea was medium (74.5%), exchanging information was high (84.3%), communicating the results of discussions was very high (90.2%), and ask questions was medium (74,5%). Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru IPA kelas VII SMPN1 Sukoharjo, diketahui rata-rata hasil belajar siswa rendah. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti tentang penerapan model pembelajaran Take and Give sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIC yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan N-gain menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Take and Give meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain berkriteria sedang (0,5). Hal itu didukung dengan peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa mengemukakan ide berkriteria sedang (74,5%), bertukar informasi berkriteria tinggi (84,3%), mengomunikasikan hasil diskusi berkriteria sangat tinggi (90,2%), dan bertanya berkriteria sedang (74,5%). Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar siswa, ekosistem, hasil belajar, model take and give

In addition, the students also gives positive responses to applicating cooperative learning model type NHT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran NHT terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar  kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 77,60; kontrol = 49,10). Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa semua aspek kelas eksperimen juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 60,40; kontrol = 56,30). Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of using Quantum Learning toward students learning outcomes on subject matter of waste. The research design was pretest-posttest Non Ekuivalen. The samples in this research were students class X IPA2 and X IPA3 randomly selected by purposive sampling technique. The qualitative data was students activity during the learning process that analyzed descriptively. The result of the research shows that the using of Quantum Learning model can improve the students learning outcomes, it can be seen from the experimental class average valve N-gain of (57.91). Beside that,the average student activity showed an increase that was (71.8). Based on the research, it can be concluded that the Quantum Learning Model was increased the students learning outcomes.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Quantum  Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok limbah. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest Non Ekuivalen. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA2 dan X IPA3 yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa selama proses pembelajaran yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Quantum Learning dapat meningkatkan Hasil Belajar  siswa, ini terlihat pada kelas eksperimen rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar (57,91). Selain itu, rata-rata aktivitas siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar (71,8). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Quantum Learning  meningkatkan hasil belajar  siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, limbah, quantum learning

Abstract

This study was aimed to know the influence of using remedial modules learning material on the minimum completeness criteria (MCC) student achievement. The research design was equivalent control group. Samples were all of the VIII class who have remedial and was selected by purposive sampling. The research data were quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data were the average of pretest, posttest and gain were analyzed by U-test. The qualitative data was the student responses questionnaire were analyzed decriptively. The results showed that student achievement was increase with value average of pretest (35.38); posttest (73.42); and gain (0.59). The most of students (90.44%) gived positive respond to the using of remedial modules learning material. Thus, learning use remedial modules learning material influence to increas the MCC in the Human Circulatory System subject matter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan ajar modul remedial terhadap pencapaian kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) siswa. Desain penelitian adalah kelompok kontrol ekivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh kelas VIII yang mengalami remedial dan dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretest, postest dan gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata nilai pretest (35,38); posttest (73,42); dan gain (0,59). Sebagian besar siswa (90,44%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar modul remedial. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan ajar modul remedial berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan KKM siswa pada materi pokok Sistem Peredaran Darah Manusia.  Kata kunci : hasil belajar kognitif siswa, modul remedial, sistem peredaran darah manusia

Abstract

This research aimed to know the ability of creative thinking of students to the concept of environmental pollution. The design used was simple descriptive, with  VII.1, VII.2, VII.3, VII.4, and VII.5 class as research subjects that were selected by purposive sampling technique. The qualitative data obtained by conversion of the worksheets assessment, posters, and written tests, which were evaluated based on fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration, then the data had analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students creative thinking ability of SMP Negeri 3 Pringsewu on the concept of environmental pollution had low criteria (58,87%).The average worksheets assessment had low criteria (59,20%), very low criteria (50,29%) on posters assessment, and had moderate criteria (67,01%) on written test score.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif sederhana, dengan subjek penelitian kelas VII.1, VII.2,VII.3, VII.4,dan VII.5, yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Data kualitatif diperoleh berdasarkan konversi penilaian LKS, poster, dan tes tertulis, yang dinilai berdasarkan aspek kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian, dan elaborasi, yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP Negeri 3 Pringsewu pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan memiliki kriteria rendah (58,87%). Rerata penilaian LKS berkriteria rendah (59,20%), kriteria sangat rendah (50,29%) pada penilaian poster, serta kriteria sedang (67,01%) pada penilaian tes tertulis.Kata kunci: berpikir kreatif, LKS, pencemaran lingkungan, poster, tes tertulis

Abstract

Based on observation with biology teacher in SMP N 1 Merbau Mataram, students learning activities and outcomes were not optimally developed yet. An alternative that can be used to improve learning activities and outcomes is using picture and picture models. This experiment aims to find out the influence of models Picture and Picture towards improvement of students learning activities and outcomes. This study is quasi experiment using pretest posttest group non equivalent design. Sample are students from VIII A and VIII B which obtained by cluster random sampling method.
