Abstract

Limbah kapas merupakan limbah organik yang selama ini belum banyak dimanfaatkan sehingga keberadaannya masih sangat banyak. Kandungan selulosa yang tinggi pada limbah kapas memungkinkan untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai media budidaya jamur tiram putih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kecepatan perambatan miselium dan berat basah tubuh buah dari hasil pemanenan jamur tiram putih. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan yang masing-masing perlakuan mendapat pengulangan sebanyak 6 kali. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah perbedaan komposisi media, antara lain: perbandingan serbuk gergaji kayu sengon 85% dengan bekatul 15%; limbah kapas 100%; limbah kapas 75% dengan bekatul 25%; dan limbah kapas 50% dengan bekatul 50%. Data yang diperoleh dari 5 kali pengamatan perambatan miselium dan 2 kali pemanenan tubuh buah segar yang masing-masing diuji dengan analisis varian satu arah dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, komposisi media yang paling optimal dalam mempercepat perambatan miselium adalah limbah kapas 100%. Berat basah tubuh buah pada komposisi media menggunakan limbah kapas tidak berbeda nyata dengan komposisi media menggunakan serbuk kayu sengon, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa limbah kapas dapat dijadikan alternatif pengganti serbuk kayu sengon sebagai media tanam jamur tiram putih.   Kata kunci: limbah kapas; media tanam; perambatan miselium; tubuh buah; Pleurotus ostreatus

Abstract

The Javan slow loris (Nycticebus javanicus) is an endemic primate species to Java Island, Indonesia. Currently, their conservation status is critically endangered due to habitat loss and the illegal wildlife trade. As a consequence of the pet trade, wild-caught slow lorises are confiscated or handed over to centers like IAR Indonesia Rescue Center. Rescued lorises present multiple health issues following stress, trauma, and miss-treatment after being kept as pets. During the medical evaluation, besides physical examination, blood biochemistry provides valuable diagnostic information. However, data on physiological values are unavailable and therefore interpretation of results is difficult. The objective of this study was to establish blood biochemistry reference values for wild, rehabilitant healthy adult Javan slow lorises in captivity. We anesthetized 20 individuals of Javan slow loris (10 males and 10 females) for pre-release check-up procedures. Blood samples were collected for blood biochemistry analysis on an in-house Vetscan VS2 (Zoetis), after which the results were statistically analyzed for mean and standard deviation. Results showed different values between the male and female group, however, they were not significant (p>0,05). Comparison with available biochemistry data (ZIMS) for other loris species in captivity: Nycticebus pygmaeus and Nycticebus coucang, did not show significant differences. Although the sample size of this study was limited, this study provides the first preliminary reference ranges for healthy adult wild, rehabilitant Javan slow loris in captivity. Further data collection is necessary for more accurate ranges and will be done during the future pre-release health check.

Abstract

The edible film is an alternative packaging with renewable and safe materials. The edible film used is methylcellulose from nata de coco with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) plasticizers and cinnamon oil additives. This research aimed to determine the effect of PVA on the mechanical properties of edible film and the effect of adding cinnamon oil on the character of edible film. PVA added were 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and cinnamon oil added were 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%. The mechanical properties of the edible film were observed by tensile strength tester, whereas water vapor absorption by gravimetric method. The result showed the optimum mechanical properties of the edible film was addition PVA 15% which was 1.565 MPa. The more cinnamon oil was added, the mechanical properties of edible film tend to decrease, however, the water vapor absorption tends to increase. The addition of cinnamon oil also showed antimicrobial activity that the fungus did not grow on the edible film.

Abstract

Sungai Siangker merupakan salah satu bagian penting dalam sistem drainase Bandara Ahmad Yani. Sebagian debit drainase bandara akan dibuang menuju laut melalui Sungai Siangker sehingga kapasitas pengaliran dari Sungai Siangker harus dianalisis dan direncanakan kembali. Analisis dan perencanaan terhadap Sungai Siangker merupakan salah satu upaya dalam pengendalian banjir akibat dampak dari sistem drainase bandara. Debit drainase dari bandara yang dialirkan menuju Sungai Siangker melalui sistem pompa dengan debit pompa (Qp) sebesar 4,5 m3/dt. (Sumber : Angkasa Pura) Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) siangker memiliki luas 7,156 km2 dengan stasiun hujan, Stasiun Ahmad yani, Stasiun Simongan, dan Stasiun Maritim. Analisis curah hujan area menggunakan Metode Poligon Thiessen dan perhitungan curah hujan rencana menggunakan distribusi Log Pearson III. Intensitas hujan dihitung berdasarkan data curah hujan otomatis yang dicatat menggunakan alat pengukur Hellman. Perhitungan debit rencana menggunakan beberapa metode yaitu Metode FSR Jawa Sumatra, Metode HSS Gamma 1, Metode Haspers, dan Metode Passing Capacity sebagai kontrol terhadap perhitungan debit rencana. Dari Analisis Hidrologi tersebut didapatkan debit banjir rencana periode ulang 25 Tahun sebesar 69,59 m3/dt dengan metode terpilih adalah Metode HSS Gamma 1.Berdasarkan debit rencana dan debit tambahan pompa dianalisis menggunakan pemodelan HEC-RAS versi 4.1. Debit tambahan pompa dimodelkan pada Sta. 1850 yang merupakan letak  rumah pompa.  Pemodelan dilakukan pada dua kondisi yaitu kondisi eksisting dan kondisi desain. Hasil dari pemodelan pada kondisi eksisting terdapat penampang sungai yang tidak mampu menampung kapasitas aliran (Sta. 350 – Sta. 3350 dan Sta. 4250 – Sta. 4900) sehingga diperlukan upaya normalisasi penampang sungai. Dari hasil analisis pemodelan kondisi desain direncanakan penampang  sungai  trapesium dengan kemiringan 1:1 dan 1:0,5. Pada Analisis Back Water akibat pasang surut terdapat penampang yang tinggi jagaan kurang dari 0,6 m yaitu pada Sta. 1250 – Sta. 1450 sehingga dilakukan peninggian tanggul setinggi 0,25 m.Pada perencanaan teknis dilakukan dua analisis yaitu Analisis Stabilitas Alur Dasar Sungai dan Analisis Stabilitas Lereng Tanggul. Kedua analisis tersebut diperlukan untuk menjamin stabilitas lereng tanggul. Perkuatan lereng direncanakan menggunakan pasangan batu belah dengan ketebalan 0,9 m dan 0,7  m. Cerucuk bambu diameter 15 cm dan panjang 2 m dipasang pada perkuatan dengan ketebalan 0,9 m untuk meningkatkan daya dukung tanah.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caught the world's attention which hascaused various impacts on life. The spread of the virus takes placerapidly through droplets or physical contact to encouragegovernments to implement policies such as washing hands activitiesusing soap cleanly and correctly. Kalikajar village government asone of the villages that are exposed Covid-19 in Purbalingga alsohave appealed to the people to always washing hands with soap.However, the availability of hand washing facilities is still limitedand the conditions are alarming due to the lack of communitymaintenance. Therefore, as a form of community service, KuliahKerja Nyata (KKN) of Sebelas Maret University has initiative tocreate washbasin based on stepping system that can be used bypeople to get clean and healthy living. The service implementationstages include survey and identification of partner problems,preparation of problem solving frameworks, problem solving solutionprograms, implementation of service programs, monitoring andevaluation. Manufacture of washbasin through the manufacturingprocess and framework design, painting, assembly, and testing. Thewashbasin is distributed in several locations in Kalikajar Village,such as the Kalikajar Village Hall Office, Baitul Ghufron Mosque,and Baitul Muslimin Mosque. The distribution activites to severallocations had help from local residents, takmir mosques, and villageheads Kalikajar. Through this washbasin, the UNS KKN Team hopesthat the community and village government officials can develop andremind each other of the habit of washing hands so that it indirectlyhelps the government in preventing Covid-19 transmission in thesurrounding community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of curriculum development principles towards the development of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum at Al Hadi Mojolaban Sukoharjo Islamic Junior High School and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of the Islamic religious education curriculum at Al-Hadi Mojolaban Islamic Junior High School. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The results showed that there are 4 principles in curriculum development, namely religious principles, philosophical principles, social principles and organizational principles. Al-Hadi Islamic Junior High School in developing Islamic religious education has been based on these principles. The form of curriculum development of Islamic education is carried out in intracurricular, co-curricular, extracurricular and school habituation activities.

Abstract

Biogas is gas produced by bacteria when organic matter undergoes a fermentation process under anaerobic conditions, and will produce methane gas which is temporarily stored in a container called a biogas bag. The biogas bag needs to be controlled to ensure the biogas bag remains safe. The control system is in the form of a two-position control because it has the advantage of being cheap and simple, besides that the solenoid valve as an actuator has a non-linear output property. To detect the capacity of the biogas bag, the HCSR-04 proximity sensor is used as feedback on the set point value that is set, which is 50 cm for the maximum set point and 30 cm for the minimum set point. The results obtained by the proximity sensor is able to read the distance with an accuracy of 5.8% and the On-Off control has a response of 0.25 seconds.

Abstract

Orphans should also receive serious attention, don't get abandoned just because of their family's economic limitations, the community must help them so they can live decently and have a good future. The donation activity for orphans in the form of a school bag, a package of stationery and money in Lemahbang village, Sukorejo sub-district, Pasuruan, East Java aims to help them a little and motivate and give hope to them that they can still get love and a sense of security and better hopes, as well as the purpose of this activity is to foster a caring attitude from the community towards orphans so that they can experience a decent life like other children in general. The implementation of the activity program is carried out in three stages, namely: (1) socialization; (2) coordination; (3) distribution, through the orphan compensation activity program it is hoped that the community can take part and contribute to the welfare of orphans so that they can be independent so that strong bonds of brotherhood will grow
