Abstract

This study aims: (1). To identify the main support system in the design of environment-based learning in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University. (2). Knowing the use of environment-based learning resources in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Makassar State University. Through the Needs Assessment instrument in the form of field observations, questionnaire surveys, and interviews with lecturers and students identified problems to determine the right action for the next stage, so the design of learning to be carried out is the best solution. The results of the study are that (1). The Biology Department of UNM has two main locations or areas that strongly support environment-based learning with their respective characteristics. The two areas are the Biology Experiment Garden and the Field of Library Discussion of the Biology Department of FMIPA UNM. (2) Some courses have made use of environment-based learning resources in the Biology Department of FMIPA UNM. Solutions from the identification results obtained are among others; (1). The Department of Biology can be used as a place of learning, a source of learning, and as a learning media in the design of environment-based learning. (2). The Biology Department can be used as a comfortable and pleasant learning environment for the entire academic community. (3). The design of Environmental Based Learning in the Biology Department of UNM can be done in almost all subjects by increasing the role of the lecturer as a facilitator.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to improve the learning process so as to increase the activity and learning outcomes of learners? throng- application of Science Process Skills on the material of the VIII class breathing system in SMP Negeri 1 Polongbangkeng Utara. The study was conducted in 2 cycles starting from planning, implementation of the action, evaluation, until the reflection cycle II. The subject of the research is the students of class VIII2 SMP Negeri 1 Polongbangkeng Utara. Data collection was conducted in the even semester of e academic year 2017/2018. Research data collected there are two activities and learning outcomes of learners. Student learning activities are collected during the; learning process which is observed by two observers by using observation sheet, then the learning result data is obtained through the evaluation test which is done at the third meeting at the end of the cycle, the final test of the given cycle is a matter of multiple-choice as much as 20 (twenty) numbers. All data obtained were analyzed in 2 ways, namely qualitative analyses for learners and quantitative learning activities for learners? learning _ outcomes. The results of the search on learning activities of students showed the average in the first cycle of 7194%; while in the second cycle of 82.49%, so an increase of 10.55% Student learning outcomes also experienced an average increase of 77.83 m the first cycle and the average value of 82.67 in cycle 11. Through quantitative analysis, it is known to the student?s completeness category in which the percentage of learners who completed in the first cycle is 70%, while in cycle II reaches 80%. So, it can be concluded that the application of science process skills can improve the activities and learning outcomes of learners.   Keywords: Process skill science, the student?s activity, the student?s learning outcome

Abstract

DOWNLOAD PDFTelah dilakukan penelitian Analisis pedigree terhadap sifat cadel. Cadel merupakanketidakmampuan melafadskan huruf ”r”. Umum dijumpai pada anak usia BALITA (bawahlima tahun), tapi sering pula terdapat pada orang dewasa. Cadel yang dialami oleh orangdewasa  umumnya  disebabkan  oleh  pengaruh  lingkungan  seperti  psikoedukatif  danpsikokultural, dapat pula disebabkan oleh faktor penyakit seperti menderita down syndrom,stroke,  atau  pada  penderita  penyakit  yang  berhubungan  dengan  syaraf.  Adapun  yangdisebabkan  oleh  faktor  herediter  belum  diketahui  secara  pasti,   sehingga  penelitian  inibertujuan  untuk  menentukan  sifat  cadel  yang  disebabkan  oleh  pengaruh  herediter  danuntuk menentukan pola  pewarisan cadel. Penelitian ini dilakukan sejak tahun 1994  yangkemudian  dilanjutkan  lagi  tahun  2012  di  Propinsi  Sulawesi  Selatan  tempat  sampelberdomisili. Sebanyak tiga silsilah keluarga hasil penelitian yang telah disusun dari datayang  memenuhi  kriteria  dianalisis  untuk  menentukan  sifat  cadel  yang  disebabkan  olehfaktor  herediter  dan  menentukan  pola  pewarisan  sifat   cadel.  Pola-pola  pewarisan  sifatyang digunakan adalah yang umum ditemukan pada manusia. Dibuat suatu asumsi bahwa “Karakter  A  diturunkan  menurut  pola  b”  dalam  menentukan  pola  pewarisan  cadel,kemudian melalui fenotip yang terdapat pada silsilah keluarga dilihat kesesuaian denganasumsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cadel dapat disebabkan oleh faktor herediterdan diwariskan menurut pola resesif autosomal.Kata kunci : Analisis pedigree, cadel, resesif autosomal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa biologi Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM) yang mengalami miskonsepsi, mengetahui dan tidak mengetahui konsep pada konsep genetika; subkonsep yang sering menjadi miskonsepsi dan faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik CRI (Certainty of Response Index) untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa biologi UNM. Sampel sebagai subjek penelitian ialah mahasiswa biologi UNM angkatan 2011 sebanyak 91 orang yang terdiri atas dua kelas yaitu kelas ICP (International Class Program) dan Kelas A program studi pendidikan. Instrumen menggunakan tes diagnostik berbentuk pilihan ganda beralasan yang dilengkapi dengan nilai CRI dan wawancara terstruktur untuk mengetahui penyebab miskonsepsi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi miskonsepsi pada 8 subkonsep yang diteliti dengan persentase yang mengalami miskonsepsi, paham konsep dan tidak paham konsep berturut-turut sebesar 45,8%; 28,2% dan 26%. Persentase mahasiswa yang paling tinggi mengalami miskonsepsi terdapat pada subkonsep pewarisan sifat Mendel sebesar 60,2%, subkonsep sintesis protein sebesar 59% dan subkonsep mutasi sebesar 55%. Faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab miskonsepsi yaitu penalaran yang salah terhadap suatu konsep, ketidaklengkapan informasi yang diterima yang berasal dari mahasiswa sendiri, pengalaman dan pengamatan mahasiswa yang keliru, istilah dan konsep yang telah lama, pengalaman belajar di sekolah dan kesalahan pada buku teks.Kata Kunci: Miskonsepsi, CRI (Certainty of Response Index), Konsep Genetika

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat penggunaan layananan perpustakaan oleh anggota Perpustakaan Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNM. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode studi pustaka, observasi, mentoring, angket, dan evaluasi. Responden penelitian merupakan anggota perpustakaan dengan karakteristik berbeda, yakni dosen, karyawan, dan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh layanan yang tersedia di perpustakaan digunakan oleh seluruh responden, tetapi tidak setiap responden menggunakan seluruh layanan.

Abstract

(2) Some subjects have utilized environment-based learning resources in the Jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNM. Solutions from the results of the identification obtained are among others; (1) Jurusan Biologi can be used as a place of learning, learning resources, and as a medium of learning in the design of environment-based learning. (2) Jurusan Biologi can be used as a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for all academic community (3) Environmental Based Learning Design in Jurusan Biologi can be done in almost all courses by increasing the role of lecturer as a facilitator.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the learning difficulties experienced by students in online learning and the efforts made in overcoming students' learning difficulties in biology during the online learning period. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 06 Makassar which consisted of 6 classes, namely XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, XI MIPA 3, XI MIPA 4, XI MIPA 5, and XI MIPA 6. The instrument used was a Likert scale closed questionnaire. The research data were obtained by distributing questionnaires regarding internal factors of student learning difficulties and conducting interviews with biology teachers in class XI of SMAN 06 Makassar. Based on the research results, there are two aspects that have an influence on learning difficulties on students 'internal factors, namely aspects of learning motivation and aspects of students' physical health conditions. In general, efforts to overcome student learning difficulties are based on the diata aspect, namely, by providing excessive motivation to students, both from teachers and from families. Because, the amount of learning motivation received by students will affect the learning outcomes received. In addition, efforts to prevent learning difficulties caused by physical health factors are by taking a moment to rest after using electronic devices for a long time. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to: 1) determine the types of plants used as traditional medicine; (2) knowing the parts (organs) of plants used to treat diseases; (3) know how to process medicinal plants; and (4) knowing diseases that can be treated using medicinal plants in Pana District, Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi. This research is a descriptive research with an exploratory nature. Data was collected through interviews, observation and identification. The results showed that from the 7 informants interviewed, 35 plant species from 22 families were obtained. Parts (organs) of plants that are generally used are one or all parts in the form of tubers, roots, stems, leaves and shoots. The processing of medicinal plants can be used directly, which is eaten without being processed first or processed by pounding, boiling, watering, grating, kneading, soaking, and or burning. Diseases treated are jaundice, typhoid, breast cancer, nerves, fever, ulcers, uterine cancer, brain cancer, kidney, burns, common wounds, gout, vaginal discharge, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, cholesterol, tuberculosis (TB), diabetes, rheumatism, headache, asthma, dengue fever, cough, smallpox, infection, speed up labor, remove spots on the body, neutralize toxins, and lower blood pressure.Keywords: medicinal plants, traditional medicine, pana district, mamasa regency, west sulawesi.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of electronic student worksheets based on science process skills in class XI high school motion system material. This research is research and development with ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The electronic LKPD teaching materials that were developed were tested for validity by 2 expert lecturers and tested for practicality by teachers and students. The subjects of this study were 30 students and 2 biology teachers at UPT SMA Negeri 4 Parepare who were selected for a limited trial of the developed electronic LKPD teaching materials. Data collection techniques were carried out through filling out practicality questionnaires by teachers and students. The results showed that the developed electronic LKPD was declared valid with an average score of 4.7. LKPD is declared practical based on the results of the teacher's response analysis with an average score of 93.98% and the results of the student response analysis with an average score of 79.19%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the electronic student worksheets based on science process skills in the motion system material for class XI SMA are valid and practical.Keywords: worksheet, electronic, addie, valid, practical

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi kebiasaan belajar terhadap penguasaan materi sistem saraf siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian korelasi (Sebabakibat). Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Donri-Donri semester genap tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan yaitu sampel jenuh menggunakan seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA yang terdiri dari 76 siswa. Kebiasaan belajar yang diukur meliputi 5 indikator, yakni: Kebiasaan belajar biologi secara teratur, kebiasaan mempersiapkan keperluan studi pada malam hari, kebiasaan hadir di kelas sebelum pelajaran biologi dimulai, kebiasaan belajar sampai paham dan tuntas, dan kebiasaan mengunjungi perpustakaan. Data penelitian kebiasaan belajar diperoleh melalui angket tertutup dan data penguasaan materi sistem saraf diperoleh dari tes pilihan ganda yang kemudian diolah dengan analisis regresi linear dan korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ada kontribusi kebiasaan belajar terhadap penguasaan materi sistem saraf siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Donri-Donri sebesar 54,3%. Nilai sig 0,000 0,05 artinya kebiasaan belajar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penguasaan materi sistem saraf siswa. Nilai korelasi 0,737 berada pada kategori tinggi, artinya kebiasaan belajar memiliki korelasi yang tinggi terhadap penguasaan materi sistem saraf siswa.
