Abstract

The increasing number of the poor in Indonesia makes the management of zakat play more important role. LAZs (non-profit organizations managing zakat) which functions as collecting and distributing zakat, infaq, and shadaqah in Indonesia is potential to develop as an attempt for equal distribution of national income, as well as a solution for poverty alleviation. Common empowerment programs by LAZs include education, health, social-humanity, and economy. Those all are consistent with government’s poverty alleviation programs, as mentioned in the Constitution 1945. “Evaluation of Mustahiq Empowerment-Based Poverty Alleviation Program at Amil-Zakat Organizations in Surabaya” points to a theory by Wirawan that evaluation was conducted through three phases; evaluation of process, evaluation of usage, and evaluation of effect. it aims to see whether or not LAZs’ empowerment programs run well and thus, be potential to be developed as a solution for poverty in Indonesia. The result showed that the empowerment programs in education and health areas were found well-implemented, while the other facets including economy and social-humanity still need more improvement within.

Abstract

This paper aims to find out illustration and estimation of zakat potency as well as the amount of zakat collection in Indonesia. Furthermore, it aims to outline the diversity between potency and realization of zakat. It used quantitative descriptive approach through secondary data collection from several sources. The result shows both potency and realization of zakat collection in Indonesia were increasing during 2011-2015. However, the amount of zakat potency surpasses the amount of zakat realization with wide gap.It shows that the average amount of zakat collection on 2011-2015 is less than 1% compare to its potency. One of the possible reason is most of Indonesian prefer to distribute their zakat directly to the muzakki, hence it is unrecorded.

Abstract

Nowadays, zakat paid by muzakki is channeled through an educational empowerment model, including scholarships for poor children. In addition to scholarships, the empowerment model also improved, zakat funds are also used for the development of Educational and Da'wah Institutions, including for schools, campuses, dormitories, and mosques. In At-Taubah 60, there is no mention of the Board of Education and Da'wah included in the asnaf who are entitled to receive zakat. Thus, the question arises as to how the legal position of the use of zakat funds for the benefit of the development of educational institutions and da'wah, whether the law is allowed according to sharia or not. This study used a qualitative library research method. The conclusion of this article states that zakat funds are allowed for the construction of educational and da’wah institutions, by using the reason for the "generality of interpretation" of the word sabilillah (في سبيل الله) in At-Taubah: 60 as one of the parties entitled to receive zakat. If the zakat funds for asnaf sabilillah still use the classical meaning, which means only for war, then the scope will be very narrow. In addition, at this time, jihad, which means war on the battlefield no longer exists, because it is considered a violation of human rights, and even if this kind of war is still being financed by the state.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activities is based on the condition of the orphanage which is inhabited by many people. Maintaining health is very important while living and interacting with many people during the Covid-19 Pandemic. One of the efforts to maintain health is by implementing personal hygiene so we are not become a virus carrier for other people. Based on the recommendation of WHO and also the Surabaya City Government, residents are asked to implement a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS). This PKM aimed to provide information to the community, particularly who lives in orphanage, about efforts to live a clean and healthy lifestyle and provide vitamins and foodstuffs to maintain and improve the personal health of the residents of the orphanage. The implementation of this Community Service activity took place from June-October 2020. With the implementation of this activity, it was found that there was an increase in the understanding of the orphanage about clean and healthy living habits. In addition, it is hoped that in the long term, the residents of the orphanage will be more concerned with personal hygiene and also apply health protocols in their daily lives so that they can break the chain of transmission of the Covid 19 pandemic

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perilaku konsumsi masyarakat di saat mengahadapi pandemi covid-19. Data menunjukkan bahwa pandemi ini berdampak sistemik tak terkecuali di bidang ekonomi. Di satu sisi sebagian masyarakat mengalami penurunan daya beli karena menurunannya penghasilan dan PHK, di sisi lain terjadi panic buying. Panic buying dan pile up terjadi selama pandemi covid-19, tak terkecuali di Indonesia. Panic buying dan pile up dilakukan dengan berbagai alasan, yg secara umum adalah untuk proteksi diri dari penularan virus covid-19. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif analitis, dengan mempelajari perilaku (behavioral analitic) masyarakat dalam mengkonsumsi pada masa pandemi. Kemudian mengulas tinjauan secara syariah.Kata kunci: perilaku konsumen, panic buying, pandemi covid-19

Abstract

Buying and selling activities are one of the community’s needs as facilities and infrastructure of daily needs. Here, the market as one of the tools where there is buying and selling interaction. The marketing environment can change and be uncertain and provide not only opportunities but also threats. The Bandar market is a traditional market that sells the needs for essential materials at an affordable price for the community. The purpose of this research is to determine the behaviour of traders and compliance with the basic principles of Islamic markets. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observation, interview, and documentation. The conclusion of this research is the traders’ behaviour in the Bandar market which already tolerable and precise even though the city market is essentially a conventional market, and traders in the Bandar market already apply the principle of Ar-Ridhla, healthy competition, honesty, openness, and justice properly. Abstract

This paper aims to find out the amount of zakat fund collection, particularly zakat maal in Indonesia. Numbers of zakat fund collected is used to see zakat inclusion from the perspective of zakat payment of Indonesian. This paper uses descriptive quantitative through secondary data collection from several sources. The result shows that the realization of zakat fund collection in Indonesia increases during 2006-2015, so does the number of people who pay zakat. However, it can be seen that the zakat payment inclusion of Indonesian people is still low. The number of people who paid zakat is lower compare to the number of people who are obligated. It need further research to divulge the reason.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology is getting faster, all can be accessed easily via the internet, this has an impact on the innovation of shooping activities into online shopping.  This research aims to determine the influence of lifestyle, trust, ease, price, time and cost efficiency, reference groups, quality of information, and promotion of hijab purchasing decisions through online shop. The type of research is quantitative with quantitative descriptive methods with some analysis techniques used are t test, F test and coefficient of determination test (R2). The results showed that lifestyle, price, time and cost efficiency, reference groups, quality of information, and promotion affect the purchasing decisions hijab through online shop, while trust and ease do not affect purchasing decisions hijab through an online shop.  F test results  show that lifestyle, trust, ease, price, time and cost efficiency, reference groups, quality of information, and promotion together have and affect on the purchasing decisions hijab on female students S1 Islamic Economics at State University of Surabaya through online shop.

Abstract

The increase in Hajj registrants in Indonesia every year causes the pilgrimage queue to be longer which makes opportunities for Hajj and Umrah travel. However, there are some companies that are less responsible in conducting their business, so that makes some people lack trust in the Hajj and Umrah travel. This study aims to know the marketing strategy aplication of Umrah Travel Agency based on the perspective of sharia marketing. This marketing strategy needs to be carried out in order to increase the trust of prospective customers. The marketing strategies used in this research are the  marketing mix of 9p + c (product, price, place, promotion, people, process, physical evidence, promise, patience, customer centrism). This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the case study method at PT. Nur Dhuha Wisata in Surabaya. The technique of data collecting uses interview, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, the implementation of the marketing strategy undertaken by PT. Nur Dhuha Wisata has been appropriate with the principles of sharia marketing which consists of the principle of monotheism or piety, the principle of human unity or justice, and the principle of belief in the unity of the world and the hereafter.
