Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT DEVELOPMENT IN LITERATURE LEARNING: ASSISTANCE FOR INDONESIAN LANGUAGE TEACHERS IN SMP, SMA AND SMK IN PAGARALAM CITY. Evaluation is an important part of learning activities. Therefore, the Indonesian Language teacher must have sufficient competence regarding the implementation of the evaluation. In the 2013 Curriculum (K-13) there is one type of assessment that must be carried out, namely authentic assessment. The Indonesian language teachers must have sufficient ability about this, especially to assess the process and results of literature learning. Most of the Indonesian language teachers in Pagaralam City did not understand well about authentic assessment in literature learning. This is based on preliminary surveys conducted by the team as well as from letters given through Indonesian language teachers’ club (MGMP). Mentoring and guidance are conducted to them including workshops on developing authentic assessment rubriks and observation sheets. A total of 11 junior high schools, senior high school, and vocational school teachers in Pagaralam City participated in this activity. The method used was the delivery of information, discussion, and workshops. A test is conducted in the form of self-reflection about aspects of authentic assessment in literary learning at the beginning and end of the activity. The result showed that there is an increase in the ability of participants about authentic assessment in literature learning before and after the activity with an N-gain of 0.57, which means medium.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan media audio visual untuk pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam yang sesuai dengan media pengembangan; 2) mendeskripsikan hasil validasi media audio visual untuk pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam; 3) mendeskripsikan hasil menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam setelah diterapkan media audio visual. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitain ini adalah penelitian pengembangan atau research and development. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa rancangan media audio visual untuk pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam yang telah direkomendasikan oleh para ahli adalah layak untuk di uji cobakan. Hasil validasi ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli kebahasaan pada produk pengembangan media audio visual untuk pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil menulis teks deskripsi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 1 Pagar Alam setelah diterapkan media audio visual mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria sangat efektif.

Abstract

This research describes the realizations of social conflicts, the function of social conflict, the similarities and differences of Dayang Merindu and Naya Sentika legends, and the implications on literature learning. The research applied a descriptive comparative method supported by an objective approach. Then, the researchers analyzed the data by collecting, reducing, presenting, and concluding the data. The data sources were the legends of Dayang Merindu and Naya Sentika. The research data were social conflict realizations and functions of the legends in the form of text excerpts. The results showed differences in the legends. The legend of Dayang Merindu had three types of conflicts: interpersonal, interest, and inter-social conflicts. The legend of Naya Sentika had four types of conflicts: interpersonal, interest, inter-group, and international conflicts. The similarities of the legends were the social functions of the conflicts. They were two functions: solidarity and communicative functions. The current research results are applicable for literature learning and further reading sources as the realization of literature appreciation.
