Abstract

This study aimed to identify junior high school mathematics material in the Merdeka curriculum and to find out the differences in mathematics material in the Merdeka curriculum and the 2013 curriculum. The research method used in this study was qualitative with a systematic literature review approach because it served as a preliminary development analysis carried out to prepare worksheets. According to the research method used, the researcher becomes the main instrument. The steps of this research are (1) formulating the review question, (2) conducting a systematic literature search, (3) screening and selecting appropriate research articles, (4) analyzing and synthesizing qualitative findings, (5) maintaining quality control, and (6) presenting finding. The Merdeka curriculum's regulation provided the data for this study, 2013 curriculum regulation, and identifying articles from journals. Data analysis techniques refer to data reduction, display, and verification. The results show that the mathematics material that students learn in the Merdeka curriculum is mostly the same as the 2013 curriculum, but there are differences in the circle material. The Merdeka curriculum excludes the study of set content and social math.

Abstract

Abstract

The weaknesses in students' abilities in applying mathematical concepts and rules to non-routine problems caused them difficulties in solving them. This study was aimed at analyzing students' numeracy skills in solving proportion problems with the contexts of Candi Umbul Traditional Market. The study was qualitative descriptive research involving two seventh-grade students in Indonesia as research subjects. The two student subjects were selected from 10 students who completed the numeracy task, one with the most correct answer and one with the most incorrect answer. The ten students who completed the numeracy task were the ones with the highest test scores among 32 students in the topics of proportion and social arithmetics. The research instruments used in the study were students' work sheets (in the form of essay tests) and interviews. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. Findings show that not every student with high math scores had high numeracy skills. This is evident from the fact that students faced problems when completing proportion items in the context of Candi Umbul Traditional Market; they encountered difficulties in solving the problems. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for further research on students' numeracy skills.

Abstract

Educators must adapt contextual teaching models with educational technology to improve the quality of teaching and learning English. Digital storytelling is a meaningful technology that can improve the quality of literacy and develop student character. This study was a need analysis study as a part of the research and development of developing bilingual-based digital storytelling to grow the Pancasila student profile. This study aimed to explore students’ and teachers’ needs for bilingual-based digital storytelling to realize Pancasila Student Profile for primary school. This research was qualitative mixed-method research. Data collection techniques using document analysis, questionnaires, and interviews. The research participants were 29 students and 3 teachers of Indonesian Primary Schools. Findings show that the results of students’ and teachers’ need state that it is necessary to develop English digital storytelling to realize Pancasila students profil for Primary School. The majority of students who have an interest in carrying out learning can use bilingual-based digital telling story-learning media. This study aids researchers and teachers in Indonesian primary schools in innovating Bilingual-based Digital Story Telling to Grow the Pancasila Students Profile in Elementary School Students.

Abstract

Online learning carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic as an external factor that affects students' motivation to learn mathematics. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of online learning on students' learning motivation during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative approach, data analysis techniques using simple linear regression analysis. The sample of this study was 60 students from class VII C and VII D at SMP N 3 Bantul, the sample was obtained by purposive sampling technique. In this study, it was found that 1) online learning had a significant effect on students' motivation to learn mathematics in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, 2) from data analysis, it was obtained a simple linear regression equation Y = 24,154 + 0,566 X and the closeness of the relationship between the variable x (learning online) to variable Y (learning motivation) that is equal to 0.537 so it is included in the moderate category, 3) Then the contribution of variable X to variable Y can be seen from the coefficient of determination of 28.9 and the remaining 71.1% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes are still said to be low, because many students have not yet reached the KKM. Many factors can influence student learning outcomes in mathematics such as student interest in learning, learning motivation, and student learning creativity. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of applying the magazine trick in mathematics to improve student learning achievement. The population of this study consisted of 8 students who were class VI students from elementary schools in Gunungkidul. With a quantitative approach, Pre-Experimental Design type of experiment. Research results show that the magazine trick can influence students' learning interest, learning motivation and learning creativity, which supports an increase in achievement or learning outcomes. There was an increase in the average value of 28.75, from 28.75 to 86.25.
