Abstract

Education in schools is the development of the potential of students, with this a person will become a human being who has the skills to carry out his life optimally character education, namely; forming the child's personality, so that he becomes a good human being, a citizen, and a good citizen, so that he is able to anticipate symptoms of a moral crisis and play a role in fostering the younger generation. Character education is the main key that must be applied to learning so that students have good morals. Good morals really have a big role in the survival of each individual. This character education is a bridge to manage and control the emotions of students. Natural Sciences (IPA) is one of the fields of study taught in elementary schools (SD). By learning Science, students can get to know the surrounding environment and everything in it, through various activities carried out by students in learning activities. Through learning Science, students can be included the values of character education by integrating the material in the science learning. This study aims to find out how the integration of character education in learning science in elementary schools.

Abstract

Gadget addiction is considered to be quite worrying in the current era of globalization, especially in the younger generation, which is detrimental to national development, especially at the city, provincial, regional and even village levels. Meanwhile, the laws and regulations regarding gadgets for oneself and others have been explained in Article 30 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law, namely that every person intentionally and without rights or unlawfully accesses another person's computer and/or electronic system in any way. Article 27 paragraph 3 of the ITE Law states that it prohibits everyone intentionally and without rights from distributing and/or transmitting and/or making Electronic Information and/or Electronic Documents accessible that contain insults and/or defamation. Seeing other people's cellphones without permission is an illegal act that cannot be justified. Based on Article 30 paragraph 1 of the ITE Law, the legal rule of viewing another person's cellphone without permission can be Article 32 paragraph (1): "Every person intentionally and without rights or against the law in any way changes, adds, subtracts, transmits, destroys, removes , move, hide electronic information and/or electronic documents belonging to other people or public property." causing the said person to be imprisoned or given sanctions according to his actions. The reasons why teenagers use gadgets are low self-control, feeling lonely, and sensation-seeking behavior. The role of parents, teachers, government agencies and society determines the future of adolescents, such as roles: parents; Teaches right/wrong and good/bad behavior standards and shows exemplary behavior standards. Teacher's Role; the teacher has the duty to encourage, guide, and provide learning facilities for students to achieve goals.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in the intellectual mathematical ability of fourth grade elementary school students by applying an open-ended learning approach. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 20 Pahambatan Balingka and involved 20 students as the research sample. Preliminary observations made at SD Negeri 20 Pahambatan Balingka showed that the students' mathematical ability in that class was low. One of the reasons for this low math ability may be due to the use of an inappropriate or ineffective learning approach. In order to answer this question, researchers conducted research using an open-ended learning approach. The data collected in this study includes students' mathematics learning outcomes. The results of the study show that the use of an open-ended learning approach has a positive effect on increasing students' intelligence in mathematics. By using this approach, students in class IV SD Negeri 20 Pahambatan Balingka experienced an increase in their math skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of curiosity character education in the 2013 curriculum and to find out the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing curiosity character education in the 2013 curriculum. The research method used in this research was qualitative with the research subjects being 2 class teachers at SDN 25 Koto alam . Based on the results of research and discussion, teachers as educators in schools must be able to implement the value of the character of curiosity in class by giving assignments or problems in the form of questions to students so that students can carry out the tasks assigned by the teacher well and with satisfactory results. This is because there are still many students who rely on teachers and fellow students in the learning process.
