Abstract

Puspo Ardhi tourism village is a tourism village that is being developed, strategically located in the tourism area of ​​Kulon Progo. The quite basic problem and has not been resolved, namely the availability of souvenirs for tourists. Souvenirs are needed for the tourism village of Puspo Ardhi as a tourist attraction, promotional media, and improving the economy of local community. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, through direct observation in the tourism village of Puspo Ardhi. Data was obtained from various key informants including village officials, village tourism managers, and local communities. The results of the study were the identification of potential natural resources that could be used as basic resources for making souvenirs. The abundant natural resources in the tourism village of Puspo Ardi are bamboo plants, herbal plants, cassava, and koro beans. This study outlines a strategy for developing souvenirs using local resources with a participatory approach. The development of souvenirs based on local wisdom has several objectives, namely increasing the economic value of plants, providing business opportunities for the local community, and increasing family income.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemeliharaan fasilitas wisata sering menjadi faktor yang terabaikan pada destinasi wisata yang sedang berkembang. Pengelola lebih fokus pada upaya pengembangan dan mendatangkan pengunjung. Hal ini karena pemeliharaan fasilitas wisata cenderung mendatangkan biaya dari pada keuntungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan alternatif strategi pemeliharaan dan pengembangan fasilitas wisata bagi kenyamanan pengunjung Pule Payung Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah diskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis SWOT sebagai upaya merumuskan strategi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total score pembobotan faktor internal pada matrik IFAS adalah 2,54 lebih kecil dari 3 atau dengan posisi tidak kuat. Dengan rincian total score faktor internal pada unsur kekuatan lebih kecil dari kelemahannya dengan perbandingan 1,26 : 1,28. Hal ini berarti strategi pemeliharaan dan pengembangan dapat dirumuskan dengan memanfaatkan kelemahan fasilitas wisata yang ada. Sedangkan total score pembobotan faktor eksternal pada matrik EFAS menghasilkan 3,09 atau kuat karena berada antara nilai 3-4 (Utama & Mahadewi, 2012). Dengan rincian total score faktor eksternal pada unsur ancaman lebih besar dari pada peluang dengan perbandingan 1,72 : 1,37. Hal ini berarti strategi pemeliharaan dan pengembangan dapat dirumuskan dengan memanfaatkan faktor eksternal ancaman terhadap fasilitas wisata yang ada. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini berdasarkan kombinasi kelemahan dan ancaman yang dirumuskan dalam analisis SWOT menghasilkan dua strategi prioritas yaitu (1) membangun kerjasama dengan operator telekomunikasi sebagai upaya preventif untuk meningkatkan kelengkapan fasilitas penerima sinyal telepon selular dan internet melalui pengadaan penguat sinyal telekomunikasi ataupun dengan BTS, (2) menambah kelengkapan fasilitas wisata dengan pemeliharaan preventif  dan represif untuk pagar kayu yang telah lapuk atau dimakan rayap serta pengaman bagian tebing yang mudah longsor dengan bronjong sebagai upaya keamanan bagi pengunjung. Kata Kunci : Pemeliharaan, Pengembangan, Kenyamanan ABSTRACT Maintenance of tourist facilities is often an overlooked factor in developing tourist destinations. Managers are more focused on development efforts and bringing in visitors. This is because maintaining tourist facilities tends to incur costs rather than profits. This study aims to produce an alternative strategy for maintaining and developing tourist facilities for the convenience of visitors to Pule Payung Yogyakarta. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the SWOT analysis method as an effort to formulate a strategy. The results showed that the total internal factor weighted score in the IFAS matrix was 2.54 smaller than 3 or the position was not strong. With details, the total score of internal factors on the element of strength is smaller than the weakness with a ratio of 1.26: 1.28. This means that maintenance and development strategies can be formulated by taking advantage of the weaknesses of existing tourist facilities. While the total external factor weighted score on the EFAS matrix resulted in 3.09 or strong because it was between the values of 3-4 (Utama & Mahadewi, 2012). With details, the total score of external factors on the element of threat is greater than the opportunity with a ratio of 1.72: 1.37. This means that maintenance and development strategies can be formulated by utilizing external factors of a threat to existing tourist facilities. The conclusion of this study is based on the combination of weaknesses and threats formulated in the SWOT analysis to produce two priority strategies, namely (1) building cooperation with telecommunications operators as a preventive effort to improve the completeness of receiving facilities for cellular phone and internet signals through the provision of telecommunications signal amplifiers or with BTS, ( 2) adding to the completeness of tourist facilities with preventive and repressive maintenance for rotten wooden fences or being eaten by termites as well as protection of landslide cliffs with gabions as security measures for visitors.Keywords: Maintenance, Development, Comfort

Abstract

Live experience at tourism village give a major influence on the formation of the tourists image. The image formed, greatly influence the decision-making process to make repeat bussiness or not at all. This study used a qualitative research design with a phenomenological study approach, by outlining or exploit live experience in the tourists through three stages, namely intuiting, analyzing and describing. The population were all live in participants in the tourism village in Brayut, on December 4 s / d January 5, 2014, which is totaled 150 participants, Yogyakarta BSI students who are following the live activities in the tourism Brayut village. Samples were obtained six criteria of participants, and the results of research, there are several indicators of dissatisfaction, namely the lack of a safety guarantee for the participants, the event is less attractive packaging, lack of good coordination of the committee, as well as the lack of infrastructure, covering the less knowledgeable, equipment not supplicants for all participants, homestay locations away from the center of the show. In this case the manager of Brayut village tourism have an  important homework, to look at the dissatisfaction indicators which is founded by researcher in the field. The stakeholder must evaluate the village tourism and decide the next strategic steps to improve the services quality for the visitors, which is influence the behavior of subsequent travelers, as revealed by Schiffman and Kanuk (2007), customer behavior is a process through which a person in finding, purchasing, using, evaluating and acting after using the product, service or idea which is expected to meet the needs.

Abstract

AbstractThe research is a qualitative research purposed to examine the development strategy of Salsa Café and Bistro restoran at Kombokarno Hotel Yogyakarta. The data was collected by active participation interviews, direct observation and study of reference. The respondents are kombokarno hotel staff and all side involved in the operation of the hotel in general and in particular Salsa café and Bistro. The data is analyzed by descriptive and SWOT analysis. Kombokarno Hotel is one of jasmine hotel which has a strategic location, which is in the Malioboro tourist area. The hotel has a café & Bistr,  named Salsa that provide food and beverage services to guests along 24 hours. Hotel Kombokarno and Salsa café has a different management, although still in the same family. Some of the obstacles faced are the lack of equipment and a small area of Salsa Cafe. The existence of Salsa café provide special attraction for visitors Kombokarno Hotel, because it provides service for eating and drinking, both in restorant or room service.Keywords : Strategy, Development and  Restoran

Abstract

The research is a kind of quantitative research which research many factor that influence rate of tourist visit, cover by internal environment, external environment and tourist attraction. The data collected through interviewing by spreading 200 questioner to respondence. and analyised by Structural Equation Model (SEM). The result of the research proved that internal environment had a direct effect on interest of tourist visit although indirect pass through tourist attraction and the tourist attraction itself influential to interest of tourist visit.  Whereas, the external environment hadn’t an effect on interest of tourist visit whether direct or indirect pass through the tourist attraction. Based on the result of hyphotesis testing, inferential many effort could be done to increase the interest of tourist visit are increasing the human resources quality, offering the innovative and creative tourist product, building good relationship to other site for infrastructure developing as a tourist activities supporting. Abstract

This research was done to analyze effects of dimension level or variables of service level of retailer dealer toward tourist satisfaction in Malioboro, beside also to analyze variable which have high importance and performance for tourist in Malioboro. This research have hypothesis that said: (1) service level variable that placed at second quadrant is responsiveness, which have high importance and performance. (2) There are positive significant effects between service level variables (reliability, responsiveness, emphaty, assurance dan tangible variables) toward tourist satisfaction. This research used teknik purposive random sampling for sampling method by got any responden between 20-60 years old who had ever visited malioboro. The measuring scale that used are Likert scale  by using tourist satisfaction scale and service level scale there are  reliability, responsiveness, emphaty, assurance dan tangible variables. To find out more descriptive result of research was used Importance and Performance matrix Analyze, so ascertainabled level of importance every tourist service level variable.This result was used for interested parties references in establish foreigh steps that had taken to increase retailer dealer performance in Malioboro as specifically and retailer dealer in other places for generally. The result of research showed all service level variables (reliability, responsiveness, emphaty, assurance dan tangible variables) have positive effects towards tourist satisfaction by level of significant (α : 5%). The statement answered hypothesis 2 and able to be accepted.Whereas from Importance and Performance Matrix can be shown that responsiveness placed at second quadran it’s meant have high Importance and Performance and  hypothesis 1 also be accepted. Abstract

Abstrak. Sadar wisata merupakan hal mendasar yang harus dipahami oleh setiap lapisan masyarakat. Kesadaran wisata yang tinggi mendorong masyarakat untuk berperan serta aktif dalam pembangunan pariwisata. Upaya peningkatan sadar wisata bagi masyarakat di desa Sidomulyo sangat penting, karena desa ini sedang mengembangkan pariwisata. Desa Sidomulyo mempunyai potensi wisata yang sangat kuat, namun belum didukung dengan kesiapan sumber daya manusia. Selain itu, tingkat sandar wisata masyarakat Sidomulyo juga masih sangat rendah. Penyiapan sumber daya manusia dilakukan melalui berbagai pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), sehingga bisa menjadi penggerak utama pengembangan desa wisata dan mengalami peningkatan dari aspek perekonomian. Pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan salah satu upaya peningkatan kualitas SDM dalam rangka meningkatkan sadar wisata. Metode yang digunakan yakni teknik ceramah dan pendekatan partisipatif. Masyarakat terlibat langsung dalam pelatihan melalui diskusi yang interaktif. Dari hasil pelatihan ini, masyarakat mempunyai pemahaman yang kuat tentang pentingnya pengembangan desa wisata dan meningkatkan kesadaran untuk terlibat aktif dalam pengelolaan desa wisata.Kata Kunci: Sadar wisata, wisata desa, Pentahelix, Pemberdayaan Abstract. Tourism awareness is an essential thing that must be understood by every level of society. High tourism awareness encourages people to participate in tourism development actively. Efforts to increase awareness of tourism of the community in the village of Sidomulyo is significant because this village is developing tourism. Sidomulyo village has powerful tourism potential but has not been supported by the readiness of human resources. Besides, the level of tourism restoration for the people of Sidomulyo is still shallow. The preparation of human resources is done through various training to improve the quality of human resources. It can be a significant driver of the development of tourist villages and an increase in the economic aspects. This community service is an effort to improve the quality of human resources to increase tourism awareness. The method used is the lecture technique and participatory approach. The community is directly involved in the training through interactive discussions in this program. From the results of this training, the community has a strong understanding of the importance of developing tourist villages and raising awareness to be actively involved in the management of tourism villages.Keywords: Tourism Awareness, Village Tourism, Pentahelix, Empowerment

Abstract

The Vredeburg Fort Museum became the main destination of educational tourism. Edu-tourism attractions offered by Vredeburg Fort Museum able to realize educational tourism experience and become a source of learning, not just a source of information. This research is a descriptive survey research. Data were obtained through a survey of 200 respondents selected by purposive sampling and analyzed using three box method. The survey results recorded Vredeburg Fort Museum offers a very varied tourist attraction, with a high index value, which is 150.71, while the learning experience of history science is 145.5. The results is Vredeburg Fort Museum applied cooperative learning concept through the implementation of several elements in the management of educational tourism, including; the team of planners, tourism content, events, local community involvement, tour operators, media, curriculum, teachers, educators, tour flow, and organization. The concept of learning is formed in two spaces, namely classroom and practical experience involving various stakeholders. The concept of learning is very effective to understand the historical messages offered by managers through collectibles, as well as bridges between educational institutions and Vredeburg Fort Museum to get practical training for learners.Keyword: edu-tourism, learning model, tourism experience, educator, museum

Abstract

Yogyakarta is a city tourism that has no natural tourism potential. Shopping tourism can become an alternative strategy to increase the expenditure and length of tourists stay in Yogyakarta. The research is a qualitative research. The research aims to examine shopping tourism products in Yogyakarta. The research attempts to identify top five products as the main magnetism of shopping tourism in Yogyakarta. Data analysis is conducted through reduction techniques. The research obtained top five culinary products, they are Gudeg, Bakpia, Bakmi Jawa, Kopi Joss, and Kipo, while the top five souvenir products are Batik, Silver, Dagadu, Wayang, and Miniature.

Abstract

The concept of educational tourism developed as a consequence of the saturation of applying learning methods in a rigid and formal room. Yogyakarta as a student and cultural city has several educational tourism objects, one of which is the Smart Park. Smart Park Yogyakarta as the most comprehensive science center in Southeast Asia offers various educational tourism program packages. The objective of this study is to analyze the Smart Park management model by conducting a survey to 200 visitors with data analyzed by SEM-PLS method. Data analysis is done in two ways, namely model feasibility test and significance test through bootstrapping process. Based on the data result analysis, the most dominant influence is management performance to the variation of tourism activities with path analysis of 0,653. The indicator with the largest contribution is learning new technology by loading factor value of 0.872. In terms of product availability, almost all educational tourism activities are available, unless for the tourist attractions related to learning a new language.
