Abstract

The people of Gunung Jati Urban Village, Kendari District, Kendari City have a relatively low economic level amidst the increasing demand. The agricultural products obtained by the community are still considered unable to meet the needs of life. In addition, they are located in the area around the Nipa-Nipa Grand Forest Park (GFP) which is relatively steep and critical, so there is great concern if the community is cutting trees that could threaten forest sustainability. Therefore, the purpose of this service are 1) To provide understanding to farmers about the importance of developing multi-purpose plants and 2) Realizing forest conservation by providing multi-purpose plant seeds to be planted on community-owned land. The method of implementing the program is community-based, namely through multi-purpose plant cultivation training accompanied by assistance with counseling and discussions. The results of this service are 1) The understanding of farmers has begun to increase, namely about 18 people (72%) who already have a very good understanding of developing MPTS plants and 2) The success of planting can be seen from the percentage of seeds that grow and develop by 90% which is part of from vegetative conservation. Lack of public awareness in preserving the Tahura Nipa-Nipa including maintaining the plants that have been given, because economic pressure is still a serious obstacle. Therefore, there is still ongoing assistance with socialization and the addition of multi-purpose plant seeds in the next program.

Abstract

Tanaman sawi (Brassica sp.) merupakan tanaman sayuran yang termasuk dalam tanaman hortikultura . Permasalahan yang dihadapi rendahnya produksi tanaman sawi disebabkan faktor lingkungan diantaranya kekeringan dimusim kemarau dan curah hujan yang tinggi dimusim hujan. Teknologi yang dapat dikembangkan adalah dengan penggunaan bobot dan jenis mulsa organik yang berbeda. Penelitian bertujuan menyelidiki pengaruh penggunaan bobot dan jenis mulsa organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi (Brassica sp.), mengetahui pengaruh mandiri penggunaan bobot dan jenis mulsa organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi (Brassica sp.), dan mengetahui bobot dan jenis mulsa organik yang lebih baik untuk mendukung pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi (Brassica sp.). Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terpisah yang terdiri atas dua faktor. Bobot mulsa sebagai petak utama (main plot) terdiri atas : mulsa dengan bobot 3,75 t ha-1 dan bobot mulsa 7,50 t ha-1. Sedangkan jenis mulsa pada anak petak (sub plot), terdiri atas : mulsa alang-alang, mulsa jerami padi dan mulsa kirinyu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan bobot dan jenis mulsa organik yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap variabel yang diamati. Kombinasi perlakuan jenis mulsa alang-alang dengan bobot mulsa 7,50 t ha-1 berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter jumlah daun tanaman umur 1, 3 dan 4 minggu setelah tanam, bobot segar brangkasan dan akar, bobot kering brangkasan dan akar, nisbah pupus akar dan produksi serta efisiensi penggunaan air. Terdapat interaksi antara bobot mulsa 3,75 t ha-1 dan mulsa jerami . Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik adalah mulsa alang-alang dengan bobot 7,50 t ha-1 .Kata kunci: Efisiensi penggunaan air, mulsa organik, sawi .

Abstract

The mangrove forest, located in the Kelurahan Lahundape in recent years, is being developed as a natural tourism area by the Kendari City Government. The success of its development can be seen in the increasing number of visitors. Thus, this research focuses on assessing the economic valuation of natural tourism services and landscape design of mangrove natural tourism areas. Data collection was carried out in Lahundape Village, West Kendari District, from August to September 2019. The target in this study was divided into 2 (two): 1) human groups and 2) the biogeophysical condition of the mangrove ecosystem. The sample selection on the first target is chosen deliberately, which must meet the sample quota (1152 people). The sample on the second target was obtained from observation and secondary data. Data analysis for the economic valuation of natural tourism uses the travel cost method, including transportation, consumption, parking, tickets, and documentation. The landscape design is determined after analyzing the biogeophysical conditions, facilities, and infrastructure and the motivation and interest of visitors to the Lahundape mangrove natural tourism area. The results showed that 1) the temporary economic valuation of Lahundape Mangrove Natural Tourism was IDR. 491,824,240.-/year. 2) The recommended landscape design is adequate vehicle parking space, worship infrastructure, toilets, connecting roads in mangrove areas, landfills, play infrastructure and docks for boats as attraction facilitation, and the addition of mangrove green lanes.

Jurnal Lahan Suboptimal: Journal of Suboptimal Lands 9(1):57-63.Forests in Indonesia have considerable potential because besides being used in the form of wood for various purposes, it also has the potential of non-timber products that can be used for various things, one of which is as a vegetation for honey bees, especially bees Trigona sp.This study aims to identification of vegetation types, climatic conditions and honey quality of Trigona sp. in the Onewila village, Ranomeeto District South Konawe Regency. The observed variables were vegetation, temperature, rainfall, and honey quality based on SNI 2013 standards. The results found the vegetation types at the cultivation location was Caliandra (Caliandra calothyrsus =10), coconut (Cocos nucifera = 12), teak (Tectona grandis= 20), peat (Syzygium polycephalum Merr = 7), mango (Mangifera indica =5), langsat (Lansium domesticum =15), kedondong (Spondias dulcis =3), guava (Psidium guajava =4), areca (Areca catechu = 10), coffee (Coffea Arabica = 15), cashew nut (Anacardium occidentale =15), areca nut (Areca catechu), coffee (Coffea arabica), cashew nut (Spondias dulcis), Cashew nut (Anacardium occidentale = 15), Sirsak ((Annona muricata = 2), and asoka flowers (Saraca asoka= 5). The air temperature and rainfall conditions in the location is very supportive of Trigona cultivation because the average of air temperature ranges from 29oC, and the average monthly rainfall at Ranomeeto station is highest in January (135 mm) and lowest in August (16.8 mm). The honey quality of Trigona sp, from several variables such as water content, acidity, HMF levels, and reducing sugar levels are 16.98%, 33.94 mg/kg, 17.3 mg/kg, 69.31 % b/b. This means that the honey quality of Trigona sp found in Onewila village meets the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 01-3545-2013 2013).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kerentanan penghidupan rumah tangga nelayan Bajau akibat variabilitas iklim di Pulau Saponda Kecamatan Soropia Kabupaten Konawe. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada April hingga Juni 2019 dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa masyarakat pada level rumah tangga di kelurahan di Pulau Saponda meyakini bahwa variabilitas iklim telah terjadi, baik di tempat mereka bermukim maupun di wilayah di mana mereka biasanya mencari ikan. Selain itu, warga juga merasakan akibat dari variabilitas iklim dimaksud pada hasil tangkapan laut. Selain itu, masyarakat Bajau merasakan beberapa gejala perubahan suhu, kelembaban dan curah hujan yang tidak menentu maupun pada kejadian bencana gelombang tinggi dan angin kencang. Bencana seperti ini berimplikasi pada kerentanan penghidupan rumah tangga mereka. Berdasarkan penghitungan dengan menggunakan metode LVI-IPCC, skor tingkat kerentanan penghidupan nelayan Bajau di Pulau Saponda adalah 0,109 atau termasuk pada tingkat yang tinggi. Beberapa hal yang mempengaruhinya antara lain tingginya tingkat keterpaparan 0,711 dan sensitivitas 0,508 nelayan tersebut terhadap dampak variabilitas iklim yang tidak dibarengi dengan kapasitas adaptasi yang lebih baik 0,496.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola tanam dan potensi hutan rakyat dengan sistem tunda tebang di Desa Watudemba Kecamatan Palangga dan Desa Ulu Lakara Kecamatan Palangga Selatan Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat setempat mengusahakan pola tanam yang berbeda-beda diantaranya pola tanam monokultur, polikultur, dan campuran/agroforestri. Sedangkan untuk potensi hutan rakyat ditentukan dalam tiga kriteria yaitu jumlah pohon yang berjumlah 644 btg., luas bidang dasar 19,83  serta volume kayu batang 135,86 dan volume kayu pohon 292,27 .
