Abstract

Kacang tanah merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman yang banyak yang dikonsumsi masyarakat dari golongan kacang-kacangan setelah kedelai. Namun produksi kacang tanah saat ini masih belum memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan produksi tanaman kacang tanah adalah rendahnya kesuburan tanah di lahan sub optimal. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan upaya dengan memanfaatkan ampas sagu yang berlimpah yang mampu meningkatkan produksi tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik berbasis ampas sagu terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang tanah di lahan sub optimal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorim Lapangan dan Labotarium Agroteknologi Unit Agronomi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Halu Oleo. Penelitian   ini  dilaksanakan   menggunakan   rancangan  acak kelompok dengan perlakuan tanpa pupuk organik (A0), ampas sagu + pupuk kandang yang dikomposkan (A1), ampas sagu + pupuk kandang tanpa dikomposkan (A2)  ampas sagu tanpa dikomposkan (A3), dan ampas sagu yang dikomposkan (A4). Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah daun, berat kering brangkasan, jumlah polong, polong isi, polong hampa dan polong muda. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam,  jika F-hitung menunjukan pengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk organik dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman. Perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan ampas  sagu + pupuk kandang sapi yang dikomposkan dengan rata-rata tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah cabang, jumlah polong, jumlah polong isi dan jumlah polong muda secara berturut-turut sebesar    27, 80 cm, 6,33 cabang,  53,47 helai, 21,60 g, 42,70 polong, 30,80 polong dan 10, 93 polong.Kata kunci : aktivitas mikroba, kompos, pupuk organik

Abstract

Pemanfaatan limbah rumah tangga sebagai pupuk organik merupakan solusi yang mudah, murah dan efektif karena sangat besar manfaatnya dalam hal lingkungan, ketahanan pertanian/pangan dan sosial budaya yang berkelanjutan. Cabai (Capsicum annum L.) merupakan tanaman sayuran yang banyak digemari masyarakat, dan memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan  mengembangkan limbah rumah tangga (limbah sayuran dan buah) dan air kelapa yang berfungsi sebagai pupuk organik cair dan zat pengatur tumbuh dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman cabai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jalan Ruruhi Lorong Sompu Andounohu Kota Kendari Sulawesi Tenggara, pada bulan Agustus sampai bulan November 2021.  Sejumlah 48 polybag bibit tanaman cabai dipelihara di dalam 4  petakan ukuran 1x1x1 m3 dengan 1 petakan terdapat 3 polybag selama 65 hari. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok, terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dengan 4 ulangan pada setiap percobaan. Perlakuan dosis pupuk cair limbah rumah tangga dan zpt air kelapa adalah P0 (0 ml/liter air), P1 (150 ml/liter air), P2 (200 ml/liter air), dan P3 (250 ml/liter air), Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, luas daun dan produksi. Data hasil pengamatan terhadap masing-masing variabel yang diamati dianalisis berdasarkan sidik ragam. Apabila dalam analisis ragam terdapat pengaruh nyata maka dilakukan dengan uji berganda Duncan (UJBD) pada taraf nyata α = 0,05. Dari hasil analisis data secara statistik diperoleh bahwa perlakuan POC limbah rumah tangga dan ZPT berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan luas daun. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pertumbuhan tanaman yang baik. Hasil terbaik pada pertumbuhan tanaman cabai yaitu pada perlakuan P2 (200 ml/liter air)

Abstract

Hidroponik merupakan suatu seni bertanam dengan menggunakan media air  atau media tanam lainnya selain tanah, atau dapat dikatakan budidaya tanaman tanpa tanah. Wick System (sistem sumbu) merupakan salah satu model hidroponik dan sistem ini dinilai mudah serta murah terutama untuk kalangan pemula. Ketersediaan unsur hara dan kehadiran media tanam yang tepat akan menentukan tingkat pertumbuhan tanaman tersebut. Konsep tersebut merupakan dasar tujuan dari penelitian ini. Penelitian dilakukan di Lahan Pekarangan Perumahan Dosen Blok R No.2, Kampus Baru Andounohu dan Lab. Agroteknologi Unit Agronomi, Fakultas Pertanian, dengan menerapkanRancangan Acak Lengkap. Adapun perlakuannya, antara lain Arang sekam + tanpa POC, Arang sekam + POC air cucian beras (10 mL/L air), Arang sekam + POC air tahu (10 mL/L air), Cocopeat + tanpa POC, Cocopeat + POC air cucian beras (10 mL/L air), Cocopeat + POC air tahu (10 mL/L air), Arang sekam + Cocopeat + tanpa POC, Arang sekam + Cocopeat + POC air cucian beras (10 mL/L air), Arang sekam + Cocopeat + POC air tahu (10 mL/L air). Parameter yang akan diamati dalam penelitian ini, antara lain tinggi tanaman (cm), panjang daun (cm), jumlah daun(helai), dan lebar daun (cm), rata-rata berat basah tanaman, dan bobot Kering Tajuk serta Akar (gr) yang  dihitung dengan mengeringkan hasil panen dengan menggunakan oven pada suhu 800 C selama 2 x 24 jam. Hasil analisis data statistika menunjukkan adanya pengaruh nyata media tanam dan pemberian POC terhadap laju pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman pakcoy. Perlakuan POC Air  Beras dan media tanam berupa arang sekam + cocopeat memberikan hasil yang terbaik dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya untuk parameter vegetatif tanaman. Adapun berat kering dan berat basah, perlakuan A0 memberikan hasil tertinggi, namun tidak berbeda nyata secara statistika dengan perlakuan AC1.

Abstract

The growth of kale is strongly influenced by environmental conditions, one of which is the level of soil fertility. Soil with less fertile conditions can cause plants to grow not optimally. This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of organic fertilizers on the growth of kale on marginal soils. This study used a randomized block design with a combination dose of organic fertilizer consisting of 5 levels of treatment, namely control (P0), 5 tons ha-1 (P1), 10 tons ha-1 (P2), 15 tons ha-1 (P3). ), and 20 tons ha-1 (P4). The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, number of branches and fresh weight. Observational data were analyzed for variance, which showed a significant effect followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the combination treatment of organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the growth of kale. The best combination treatment of organic fertilizer was obtained by treatment of cow dung + chicken at a dose of 20 tons ha-1 (P4) with an increase in fresh weight of kale by 87.49% compared to the control

Abstract

Sota Village is one of the villages located in Sota District, Merauke Regency with an area of 698.13 km2 of the four other villages in Sota District, Sota Village is the largest area which reaches 26.85% of the Sota District area. Most of the agricultural area in Sota District is located around residential areas is the wet and dry soil. One of the dry soil in Sota Village is dominated by horticultural plants such as Brassica oleraceae L. plants. Brassica oleraceae L. is a horticultural plants that is favored by consumers in the city of Merauke. However, the problem that greatly affects the production of Brassica oleraceae L. plants is the attack of pests and diseases. The approach method to solve these problems is by way of guidance and assistance to farmers through a persuasive approach by applying the concept of Integrated Pest and Disease Management (IPDM). This activity is expected to provide an understanding to Brassica oleraceae L. farmers regarding the proper and correct use of pesticides according to regulations so that plant pests do not become resistant, and in the end can increase the growth and production of Brassica oleraceae L. plants. The evaluation results show that farmers have carried out pest and disease control by following the applicable regulations or the standard operating procedure.

Abstract

Fertilization is one of the efforts made to add nutrients in the soil and can increase plant growth and yield. Currently, organic fertilizers based on local resources have been developed considering the negative impact of excessive inorganic use. The use of fertilizers made from local resources in Merauke Regency is important to develop and study its potential. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential combination of organic fertilizer content based on sago dregs. The study lasted for 1 month with organic fertilizer fermentation carried out at the Agrotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Musamus University and the nutrient levels of organic fertilizers in the form of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, iron, zinc, pH, and water content were analyzed at the Biotrope Laboratory. The treatment in this study consisted of various organic materials in Merauke Regency with the main ingredients of sago dregs, namely lamtoro leaves + pig manure (P1), sago dregs + pig manure (P2), sago dregs + lamtoro leaves (P3), sago dregs + lamtoro leaves. + pig dung (P4), sago dregs + chicken manure (P5) and sago dregs + cow dung (P6). The treatment used a ratio of 2:1 (v/v) on each composition of the treatment material. The results of the analysis show that the nutrient content of organic fertilizer based on sago dregs varies depending on the composition of the material and has the potential to be used to increase crop production. The highest nitrogen, C/N and C-Organic levels were obtained in the treatment of sago dregs + pig manure, the highest phosphorus content was obtained in the treatment of sago dregs + chicken and the highest potassium was found in the composition of lamtoro leaf compost + pig manure.

Abstract

Yard land is used by the community to grow crops to meet their daily needs. This research is to find out the species of garden plants used by the people of Kampung Kweel. Data collection to determine plant species in the yards of community houses was carried out using interviews and documentation methods. Identification and inventory are carried out based on local names, scientific names, family names, and plant parts used. Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis by describing the results of interviews and surveys of the plants found. Meanwhile, quantitative analysis was carried out by presenting the part of the plant used. The results showed that there were 21 species of plants in the yard of Kampung Kweel with different benefits. The part of the plant that was used with the highest percentage was obtained from the fruit of 37.50%, followed by leaves of 28.13%, stems and tubers of 12.50%, rhizomes of 6.25% and flowers of 3.13%

Abstract

Muram Sari Village is one of the villages in the Semangga District, Merauke Regency with the largest population in the Semangga District. This village is dominated by transmigration communities who in fact have a livelihood as farmers and ranchers. One of the livestock developed is goat which is considered to be able to help boost the economy of farmers from generation to generation. Goat farming is currently being cultivated by breeders, although its implementation has not been fully maximized. This is due to the lack of understanding of breeders on the development of goats, the maintenance system is still traditional and the maintenance management and group management are not optimal. Therefore, with the Community Partnership Service (PKM) activity, the implementing team will provide full participation in solving problems faced by the group, especially cultivation management, housing systems, group management, and processing of sewage waste as organic fertilizer. It is hoped that in the future, Muram Sari Village will become the basis for developing goats in Merauke Regency.

Abstract

Kampung Kuper is a village in the Semangga District, Merauke Regency with a population of 1,298 people. This village is dominated by transmigration communities whose livelihoods are farmers. Kampung Kuper is a rice production center in Merauke Regency. The rice plants in this village are quite extensive so they have a lot of rice waste in the form of straw and husks that are not used and are left as waste and burned for further planting. Kampung Kuper also has chickens and cows whose dung can be used for organic fertilizer. Rice plant waste (straw, husk) and livestock manure (chicken, cow) are very important to be developed as organic fertilizers because they are rich in nutrients that plants need for growth and development. Based on the potential utilization of rice plant waste and livestock manure, this service activity is carried out to provide participation to farmer groups, especially motivating farmers in managing rice and livestock waste as organic fertilizer and making Kuper village a center for organic fertilizer production in Merauke Regency. The implementation of activities includes counseling and technical guidance as a medium for transferring knowledge and technology to partners, which will be carried out en masse, through groups and individuals. The solutions offered in the implementation of the Partner Village Development program are through non-physical and physical activities expected; 1) Provide counseling and technical guidance on the benefits of managing agricultural and livestock waste as organic fertilizer so that people care about environmental health and the food products they consume and 2) Assisting in the processing of rice straw and livestock manure as organic fertilizer. The community, especially farmer groups in Kuper Village, are very enthusiastic in participating in counseling activities as well as carrying out manufacturing practices

Abstract

Banana is a horticultural commodity that is widely consumed by people in Indonesia, especially in Merauke Regency. Increased production of banana plants is strongly influenced by the quality of seeds and preparation of planting media in the field. This service aims to provide an understanding to the community about the development of banana plants using organic fertilizers and utilizing the potential of unused land in Kweel Village. The implementation of activities includes counseling with a participatory system and demonstration of banana plant development plots. The solutions offered in this activity are; 1) Providing counseling about the benefits of managing livestock waste as organic fertilizer, 2) Providing assistance in processing livestock manure as organic fertilizer and 3) conducting technical guidance and demonstration of banana plant development plots. The targeted outputs of this Partner Village Development program include guidelines for the use of organic fertilizers for banana cultivation, publication of articles in nationally accredited journals, and publication of print/online media.
