Abstract

Epistemology is the study of the source of knowledge or theories about science. Islamic epistemology views everything in a holistic manner that is not separate between aspects of the world and the hereafter, besides containing worldly values but also contains aspects of the afterlife. Epistemologically, knowledge in Islam is based on two things; first, through rational knowledge; secondly, through religious knowledge and experience, first is knowledge about beings and second is Divine reality. Therefore, in the philosophy of Islamic education, the source of knowledge is revelation over reason and the five senses. Revelation as the source of knowledge is what gives certainty to human reason about truth. Crisis of morality or human behavior is now an important factor occupying the epistemology base of true Islamic education, because education that is only able to educate intellectually and good skills is clearly considered a failure without being decorated with noble character.

Abstract

Religion and culture in Aceh are two entities that can not be interconnected with one another. Religion becomes a color for culture, on the contrary, cultural practices are equally strong. Once religion becomes a crystallized way of life in the systems, institutions and social structures that are built into a worldview. Similarly, in education that became the basis of dayah (pesantren) which serves as; transmission of Islamic sciences; Towards Islamic tradition; and ulama scholars. Then meunasah that serves other than as a place of religious education for religious education for children (Quran) as well as places of worship, meeting places and community gampong, religious studies for parents, centers of religious social activities, places of conflict resolution and dispute. The prolonged conflict between GAM and the Indonesian government and the tsunami has brought about a social change of Acehnese society, because of the strong foundation of Islamic education, the cohesion and social integration are well established.

Abstract

This study was aims to reveal the challenges and efforts in implementing early childhood character education based on local wisdom in Aceh society This study has been conducted using qualitative approach. Its result indicates several challenges faced by Acehnese in implementing character education based on Acehnese local wisdom, including: (a) the impact of technological development; (b) changes in the physical environment such as natural disasters and natural resources; (c) contact with other communities and the culture of the community replaces local culture; (d) modernity promises ease and speed so that the tradition of local wisdom is seen as complicated and slow so that the summarization of tradition is carried out. Therefore, Aceh local wisdom is not only ritual but also contains Islamic values that have become a culture in Aceh.

Abstract

Tradisi mendidik anak dalam masyarakat memiliki pola tersendiri. Pola pendidikan anak cukup dipengaruhi oleh nilai-nilai keislaman. Hal ini dapat dimaklumi sebab karakter dan identitas masyarakat Aceh yang mencerminkan keselarasan antara Islam dan adat. Hal ini terlihat dalam hadih majah (pepatah); “hukom ngon adat lagee zat ngon sifeut”, artinya hukum [agama] dan adat, seperti zat dengan sifatnya, tidak dapat dipisahkan. Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang tradisi mendidik anak sebelum kelahiran yang meliputi; ba boh kayee (membawa buah-buahan), jak me bu (membawa nasi) dan peuramin (pergi piknik). Sedangkan sesudah melahirkan yaitu: koh pusat (memotong pusat), azan dan iqamah, tanam adoe (menanam plasenta), peucicap (memcicipi), cuko ok (memotong rambut), boh nan (memberi nama), peutron aneuk (menurunkan anak) dan aqiqah. Tradisi mendidik anak tersebut perlu dilestarikan karena terbukti mampu melahirkan karakter anak yang bertauhid, berakhlak baik, bertutur kata yang sopan, sehat serta cerdas.

Abstract

This study discusses the nature of the curriculum in Islamic education which is an important component in education. This paper is qualitative in nature with an Islamic educational philosophy approach. The research concludes that the basic framework of the Islamic education curriculum is based on revelation and value of tauhid to Allah SWT. The curriculum has four foundations, namely; philosophical, sociological, organizational, and psychological, while the principles of the curriculum, for example, are based on Islamic values, integral and flexible. Then the first curriculum orientation is preserved Islamic values, students, labor and science and technology. In essence, the curriculum content must include three parts, namely; scientific intelligence (cognitive), skills (psychomotor) and values. Likewise the curve of evaluation and review as changes from social change and the times. Therefore, it is important to emphasize that essence, basic framework, principles, orientation and content refer to the reference to Islamic values ​​and monotheism as a characteristic and relationship of Islamic education. This characteristic of monotheism is what distinguishes Islamic education and Western education from a philosophical perspective.

Abstract

Sufism values such as; patience, gratitude, qana'ah, and zuhud are formulas as well as a cure for the heart in wading life and increasingly global human life. Therefore, with the learning of Sufism learned by students, it is expected to have a psychological and social impact on his life not only on campus as an academic environment but also in the wider community. Thus the student will be able to contribute progressively because the values of Sufism have formed a good character. In this context also Islamic higher education will be able to become agents of change in society not only in the context of education and learning but also in character values that originate from the Islamic dimension, namely Sufism.

Abstract

Learning in Kindergarten aims to develop some abilities possessed by children including oral communication ability, literacy and reading ability, listening ability and comprehension of command, writing ability, and ability to use literature. The gender gap remains ongoing issue in Indonesia. This paper presents evidence of gender differences in learning in differences in letter shape recognition to 4-5 year old children in which 30 children from two schools participated. This study using Quantitative research methods in comparative research. The result of this study indicates there are a difference between boys and girls aged 4-5 years in terms of recognizing and interpreting the symbols of letters in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Abstract

Kajian tentang hukum keluarga Islam dari sudut sosiologis belum banyak dilakukan di Indonesia. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah menelaah tentang relasi antara sosiologi, hukum dan masyarakat, penggunaan ilmu-ilmu sosial dalam kajian Islam dan eksistensi sosiologi dalam kajian hukum keluarga Islam. Studi ini merupakan pembahasan hukum normatif yang mengkaji persoalan dengan merujuk pada literatur hukum. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa hubungan antara sosiologi, hukum dan masyarakat tidak dapat dipisahkan sebagai sebuah konsekuensi logis yang saling melengkapi. Realitas hukum yang terjadi dalam masyarakat justru lebih kaya ketika ditelaah dengan menggunakan perspektif sosiologi. Kemudian penggunaan ilmu-ilmu sosial dalam kajian keislaman juga telah lama digalakkan oleh intelektual Islam, terutama yang berkaitan dengan bidang sosial dan humaniora. Selanjutnya eksistensi ilmu-ilmu sosial sebagai sebuah pendekatan dan perspektif dalam mengkaji hukum Islam, kasus-kasus hukum keluarga Islam yang membutuhkan sosiologi sebagai alat analisis. Sebagai contoh persoalan hibah, harta bersama dan ahli waris pengganti erat kaitannya dengan adat dan sistem sosial yang ada dalam masyarakat yang kemudian diakomodasi dalam hukum formal. Demikian juga menjadi pertimbangan dan sudut pandang hakim dalam memutuskan perkara di pengadilan. Oleh karena hukum keluarga Islam tetap akan menjadi disiplin ilmu yang terus berkembang seiring dengan perubahan masyarakat Islam.

Abstract

Kajian ini membahas tentang adat pernikahan dan nilai-nilai Islami dalam masyarakat Aceh menurut hukum Islam. Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa antara adat dan agama di Aceh tidak dapat dipisahkan, adat bersandar pada agama, sedangkan agama terinternalisasi dalam bentuk budaya dan tradisi masyarakat. Termasuk pernikahan yang merupakan salah satu bagian terpenting dalam adat masyarakat di Nusantara termasuk di Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis yang menggunakan literatur dan kepustakaan sebagai obyek kajian. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa adat pernikahan dalam masyarakat Aceh sarat dengan nilai-nilai Islami, misalnya; ketaatan kepada Allah dan Rasul, kebersamaan dan persaudaraan, tolong menolong, tanggungjawab baik orang tua maupun perangkat gampong. Jika dilihat dari aspek hukum Islam, maka adat pernikahan masyarakat Aceh tidak bertentangan atau sesuai dengan hukum Islam. , justru adat memperkuat hukum Islam melalui sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tanpa proses adat ini, masyarakat dikhawatirkan akan memilih nilai-nilai alih yang bertentangan dengan adat dan nilai masyarakat Aceh.

Abstract

Indonesia still experiences the increasing of divorce rates. To address this issue, the government through the Ministry of Religious Affairs has carried out several strategic programs, including Bimbingan Perkawinan (Marriage Guidance). The study of this paper examines the influence of the program on family resilience in the provinces of Aceh and South Sumatra. It used the normative approach in sociological studies. Data were collected by means of interviews, document studies, and questionnaires. The results of the study by referring to the questionnaire and interview show that the program in Aceh and South Sumatra has been running well. However, it has not been able to create family resilience and the divorce rate still keeps increasing. It is expected that post-marriage counseling should also be conducted so that married couples can establish family resilience as aspired within the community and country.
