Abstract

Abstract: Developing Learning Materials Based on Training Within Industry (TWI) to Improve the Building Construction Student’s Learning Outcomes.This second study aims to test significances differences between (1) using teaching materials with TWI method and the conventional method; (2) the high achievement motivation students and the low achievement motivation students; and (3) learning structures (TWI method and conventional method) and the high achievement motivation and the low achievement motivation toward the students’ learning outcomes. This study is an experimental research for students who take the Bricklaying and Concrete Practice lesson in an academic year. The hypothesis test uses two-way variance analysis (ANAVA) to find out the differences in the mean between cells (A and B). The results showed that there were significant differences in the students’ learning outcome be­tween (1) the TWI teaching materials and conventional method; (2) the students who have the high achievement motivation and the students who have the low achievement motivation. Furthermore, there were significant interactions between factor of giving the vocational work practices and motivation to­ward the students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

As a consequence of the rapid development of infrastructures, there is a scarcity of availability of skilled labor in construction services, so efforts are needed to accelerate the preparation of experts in the field of construction services. Intensive apprenticeship pattern is a program to accelerate the preparation of construction service workers in increasing the relevance of higher education to the world of work as a purpose in this study. Data analysis used comparative analysis and descriptive statistics. The results of the study show that the existing pattern of internship in the field carried out by the sample universities is that there are two things that have not been widely implemented, namely the provision of insurance and special facilities. While other items related to the implementation of internships have a percentage of more than 50 percent. The apprenticeship patterns that can be implemented include through the process of collaboration, socialization, participant registration, self assessment, matriculation, implementation of internships, appraisal, and granting certificates from the Construction Services Business Entity (CSBE/ BUJK). Whereas Certification is carried out in general through Pre-Internship, Internships, Judicium, Post-Judiciary, Graduation and Certification of Young Experts.

Abstract

This research aims at investigating predominant factors of competent graduates SMK TBB required by construction service industry in East Java. This study was using a descriptive design in which each variable was analysed using Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA). The unit analysis within this study is a construction service industry compliance agent. This study used a cluster sampling technique in which the sample was obtained gradually from the small area to the wider area. The instrument of this study used likert scale and further was measured and translated as a variable indicator. The result of this study showed that the knowledge competence of SMK TBB graduates within the small scale requires an understanding of concrete aggregate quality and construction management in the field such as drawing up a schedule of material management, labor, equipment, and time estimation construction until construction report. Within the intermediate scale, it requires an understanding of slump test method, material usage, and concrete construction. While within the high scale, it requires an understanding of aggregate quality, concrete construction, and management construction.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor dominan dari kompetensi lulusan SMK TBB yang dibutuhkan industri jasa konstruksi di Jawa Timur. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dimana masing-masing variabel akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa industri jasa konstruksi yang bergerak di bidang pelaksana. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster sampling, pengambilan sampel ditetapkan secara bertahap dari wilayah yang luas sampai ke wilayah terkecil. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket dengan skala likert yang akan diukur dan dijabarkan menjadi indikator variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pengetahuan lulusan SMK TBB pada skala kecil dibutuhkan pemahaman mengenai mutu agregat beton dan mengelola pekerjaan konstruksi di lapangan, seperti pembuatan jadwal pengelolaan material, tenaga kerja, peralatan dan waktu pekerjaan konstruksi sampai dengan pelaporan pekerjaan. Skala menengah dibutuhkan pemahaman mengenai tata cara pengujian slump, penggunaan material, dan pekerjaan konstruksi beton. Skala besar dibutuhkan pemahaman mengenai mutu agregat, pekerjaan konstruksi beton, dan pengelolaan pekerjaan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar antara mahasiswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran Praktik Berbasis Job Program dibandingkan mahasiswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran praktik konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ekperimen. Subyek uji coba adalah mahasiswa prodi D3 Teknik Sipil dan Bangunan FT UM yang memprogram matakuliah Praktik Konstruksi Batu dan Beton. Untuk uji coba lapangan digunakan 23 orang mahasiswa untuk kelompok eksperimen, dan 22 orang mahasiswa untuk kelompok kontrol. Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelompok ekperimen dan kelpompok kontrol digunakan analis t tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara mahasiswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran praktik Job Program dan mahasiswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran praktik konvensional dengan nilai thitung 6,054, pada taraf signifikansi 0,000. Penggunaaan metode pembelajaran praktik Job Program secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar.Kata-kata kunci: Pembelajaran Praktik, Job Program, Hasil BelajarAbstract: The purpose of this study is: to determine whether there is a difference in learning outcomes between students who study with the Job Program-Based Practice learning model compared to students who learn using conventional practical learning models. This research is an experimental research. The trial subjects were students of the D3 Civil and Building Engineering study program FT UM who programmed the Stone and Concrete Construction Practice course. For the field trial, 23 students were used for the experimental group, and 22 students for the control group. To determine whether there is a difference in learning outcomes between the experimental group and the control group, the t-test analysis is used. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there are differences in learning outcomes between students who learn using the Job Program practical learning method and students who learn using conventional practical learning with a value of tcount 6.054, at a significance level of 0.000. The use of practical Job Program learning methods can significantly improve learning outcomes.Keywords: Practical Learning, Job Programs, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstrak:tujuan peneltiian ini adalah mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar antara mahasiswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran praktik menggunakan model Laboratory Training Berbasis Web Virtual Laboratory dibandingkan mahasiswa yang belajar dengan metode konvensional pada matakuliah Teori Dan Praktik Konstruksi Kayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian ekperimen. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester IV Prodi PTB TS FT UM, yang memprogram matakuliah Teori dan Praktik Konstruksi Kayu. Untuk uji eksperimen digunakan dua offering/ kelas, satu kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan satu kelas yang lain sebagai kelompok kontrol. Ke dua kelompok ini diasumsikan sama dalam semua segi yang relevan dan hanya berbeda dalam pemberian perlakuan. Jenis data yang diperlukan adalah data tentang hasil belajar, yang diambil dengan teknik test perbuatan. Pengembangan tes berpedoman pada kisi-kisi pokok bahasan matakuliah praktik. Untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan digunakan teknik uji t test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelompok mahasiswa yang diajar yang diajar dengan metode pembelajaran praktik laboratory training berbasis web virtual dan kelompok mahasiswa yang diajar yang diajar dengan metode pembelajaran praktik laboratory training tanpa berbasis web virtual. Hal ini berarti metode pembelajaran praktik laboratory training berbasis web virtual lebih unggul dari pada metode pembelajaran praktik laboratory training tanpa tanpa web virtualKata-kata kunci: Laboratory Training, Web Virtual, Hasil Belajar, Konstruksi KayuAbstract: The purpose of this research is to find out whether there are differences in learning outcomes between students who study with a practical learning model using a Web Virtual Laboratory-Based Laboratory Training model compared to students who study using conventional methods in the Theory and Practice of Wood Construction courses. This study uses an experimental research design. The research subjects were fourth semester students of PTB TS FT UM Study Program, who programmed the Theory and Practice of Wood Construction courses. For the experimental test, two offerings/classes were used, one class as the experimental group and the other as the control group. These two groups are assumed to be the same in all relevant aspects and differ only in the treatment given. The type of data needed is data about learning outcomes, which are taken with an action test technique. The development of the test is guided by the grid of practical subjects. To test the proposed hypothesis, the t test technique was used. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there are differences in learning outcomes between groups of students who are taught by using virtual web-based practical laboratory training learning methods and groups of students who are taught by using virtual web-based practical laboratory training learning methods. This means that the virtual web-based practical laboratory training learning method is superior to the laboratory training practice learning method without a virtual web.Keywords: Laboratory Training, Virtual Web, Learning Outcomes, Wood Construction

Abstract

Abstrak:Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) telah resmi mulai diterapkan sejak tahun 2015. Hal ini membuat perpindahan atau pergerakan informasi, barang, pelajar, dan tenaga kerja profesional di wilayah negara-negara ASEAN semakin lebih luas. Pada hakekatnya Indonesia telah menyiapkan sistem pendidikan untuk siap dan berkompetisi dalam MEA dengan mempersiapkan SDM yang professional. Namun masih terdapat kendala yang ditemui dalam membangun SDM berbasis kompetensi untuk borkompetisi dalam MEA. Untuk mencapai Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) dibidang jasa konstruksi diperlukan sinergi stakeholder baik dari pemerintah, industri, dunia pendidikan, dan asosiasi untuk melatih dan mempersiapkan setiap individu menjadi tenaga profesional yang dapat bersaing di era MEA.Kata-kata kunci: MEA, Mutual Recognition Arrangement, Sinergi KelembagaanAbstract: The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has been officially implemented since 2015. This has made the movement of information, goods, students, and professional workers in the ASEAN countries increasingly wider. In essence, Indonesia has prepared an education system to be ready and compete in the MEA by preparing professional human resources. However, there are still obstacles encountered in building competency-based human resources for competition in the MEA. To achieve a Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) in the field of construction services, a synergy of stakeholders from the government, industry, education, and associations is needed to train and prepare each individual to become a professional who can compete in the MEA era.Keywords: MEA, Mutual Recognition Arrangement, Institutional Synergy
