Abstract

Even though economics learning in Senior High Schools has been able to increase students’ economic knowledge, their economic behavior is still far from being appropriate, whereas their concern for others, the environment, and even for themselves is lacking. The aims of this study were to apply caring economics learning (CEL) at senior high schools in Indonesia and to observe the internalization of caring economics attitude among the students through action research. It contained instructional package consisting of lesson plans, student worksheets, instructional materials, instructional media, and learning assessment in the form of situational judgment tests (SJTs). The CEL employed case method that was implemented in three learning activities. The data were obtained through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The study has revealed that the CEL was assessed by the observers as good and excellent. The success of caring attitude development on the students was reflected in the number of students showing caring attitudes, which increased from the first learning activity (52%) to the last one (95%). Based on the SJT-1, 55.56% of students achieved high scores and 44.44% had moderate scores. Based on the SJT-2, the number of students with high scores increased significantly (77.78%), while the number of students who had moderate scores decreased considerably (22.22%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penilaian mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Ekonomi terhadap kinerja akademik dan administratif jurusan dan untuk menggali aspek-aspek kinerja jurusan yang memerlukan pengelolaan dan pembinaan yang lebih baik.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitif deskriptif. Pendekatan ini juga dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi apa yang selama ini dirasakan dan diinginkan oleh mahasiswa sehingga ada butir-butir pertanyaan yang ada dalam instrumen penelitian merupakan semi open questioner. Untuk mencapai tujuan dari penelitian ini maka dilakukan pemaparan statistik deskriptif berupa frekuensi, persentase, dan pie chart. Data diperoleh dengan cara sengaja dari mahasiswa angkatan tahun 2006, 2007, dan 2008 Jurusan Pendidikan EkonomiKesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Secara umum kinerja jurusan Pendidikan Ekonomi UNY yang mengimplementasikan berbagai komponen standar nasional pendidikan yang dijalankan mendapatkan nilai cukup berdasarkan persepsi mahasiswa. 2) Tidak ada satupun dari 7 standar pendidikan tersebut dalam aplikasinya mendapatkan nilai baik. 3) Standar pendidikan yang mendapatkan nilai kurang adalah standar penilaian pendidikan dan yang mendapatkan nilai cukup namun relative kurang adalah sarana dan prasarana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan: keaktifan dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa dengan penerapan metode simulasi dalam mata kuliah Ekonomika mikro. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Setting penelitian adalah mahasiswa reguler semester II, berjumlah 50 orang mahasiswa yang  mengambil mata kuliah ekonomika mikro. Rancangan penelitian melibatkan dosen sebagai peneliti utama dan sekaligus sebagai pelaku tindakan,  dosen pengamat dan mahasiswa sebagai subyek didik. Cara penelitian dilakukan melalui : 1. perencanaan, 2. implementasi tindakan kelas, 3. pemantauan dan evaluasi, 4. analisis dan refleksi, 5. penyimpulan hasil. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan angket : Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi metode dan sumber.  Penelitian tindakan ini dengan menerapkan metode simulasi dalam pembelajaran ekonomika mikro. Hasil dari penelitian tindakan ini adalah  1) Penerapan metode pembelajaran simulasi dapat meningkatkan aktifitas mahasiswa. Terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar dari siklus I ke siklus II, dan dari siklus II ke siklus III. 2) Penerapan metode pembelajaran simulasi dapat mengoptimalkan prestasi belajar siswa. Prestasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari prestasi belajar siklus I ke siklus II, dan dari siklus II ke siklus III.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know how domestic investment in Indonesia behaves both in the short term and in the long term. Data used were secondary data obtained from various sources. Those data would be analyzed by using a dynamic analysis tool consisted of a cointegration approach and an error correction model.Several findings obtained from this research were (1) ECT coefficient (4.16) significantly and statistically influenced domestic investment in Indonesia. It indicated that the error correction model used in this research was valid. (2) In the short term, national income variables and domestic interest rates did not significantly affect domestic investment while government investment variables and rate of exchange positively and significantly influenced domestic investment. Elasticity coefficient of the government investment and the exchange rate were 1.44 and 2.34 respectively. (3) By concerning time lag factor, the estimation results showed that the national incomes, the domestic interest rates, the government investment , and exchange rate of rupiah against US dollar in the previous 1 year significantly affected domestic investment. Their elasticity were 2.18, -1.18, -2.18 and 1.26 respectively. (4) In the long term, the national income variables and the exchange rate of rupiah against US dollar positively and significantly influenced domestic investment meanwhile the domestic interest rate variables and the government investment did not significantly influence domestic investment. The elasticity coefficient of the national income and exchange rate were 3.08 and 2.19 respectively.

Abstract

Abstract: A Relevance Analysis of University Graduates with World of Work. Education should be oriented to the competencies required by the workforce as a percentage of unemployment among the educated increase continuously. This study aims to examine the relevance of YSU Economic Education graduates. The study only focuses on the type of work and subjects taught. The subject of this study is the alumni of Economic Education Study Program. Sampling technique used is snowball sampling. Data collection technique using questionnaires and documentation while the technique of data analysis using descriptive analysis. The result suggests that the majority of the graduates find their first job as private a teacher, a private employee and a tutor, while current job of the most graduates are private teacher, private employee, and civil servant (teacher). The data shows that more than 50 percent of the graduates work in the education area. This implies that the relevance level based on the type of work is categorized as sufficient. Majority of the graduates teaches social science, economic, and entrepreneurship, hence it can be concluded that the relevance level based on the subjects taught is highly relevant.  Keyword: relevance of graduates, type of work, unemployment, employment  Abstrak: Analisis Relevansi Lulusan Perguruan Tinggi dengan Dunia Kerja. Pendidikan harus berorientasi pada kompetensi yang dibutuhkan oleh dunia kerja karena persentase penganggur di kalangan terdidik terus meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tingkat relevansi (kesesuaian) lulusan Pendidikan Ekonomi UNY. Kajian hanya diarahkan pada jenis pekerjaan dan mata pelajaran yang diampu. Penelitian ini mengambil subjek alumni Prodi Pendidikan Ekonomi dari berbagai angkatan. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah snowball sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa jenis pekerjaan pertama lulusan yang paling dominan adalah guru swasta, pegawai swasta dan tenaga pengajar/tentor, sedangkan jenis pekerjaan sekarang lulusan didominasi sebagai guru swasta, pegawai swasta dan guru negeri. Tingkat relevansi dilihat dari jenis pekerjaan termasuk kategori cukup karena separo lebih lulusan bekerja di bidang pendidikan, sementara itu jika dilihat dari mata pelajaran yang diampu juga sangat relevan karena sebagian besar alumni mengajar IPS, Ekonomi dan Kewirausahaan. Kata Kunci: relevansi lulusan, jenis pekerjaan, pengangguran

Abstract

Abstract: Elasticity Analysis for Three Animal Protein Resources in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the behavior of household demand on three sources of animal protein (fish, beef, and chicken) were associated with different household characteristics and analyze the response of households in Indonesia to changes in price and income on the consumption of fish, beef, and chicken. Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) was adopted in this study, using data from the Indonesia Family Life Survey wave 4 (IFLS 4). Total number of the household analyzed in this study amounted to 839 households. The results showed that partially price of fish, beef prices, household expenditure, geographic region, and number of family members affect the share of expenditure fisheries products, chicken, and beef. The results implied that Price elasticity of demand for demand for fish, beef, and chicken were categorized as inelastic. While the income elasticity for beef and chicken were elastic, furthermore income elasticity for fish was inelastic.Keywords:  Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) model, demand price elasticity, cross elasticity of demand, income elasticity of demand.Abstrak: Analisis Elastisitas Tiga Bahan Pangan Sumber Protein Hewani di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku permintaan rumah tangga atas tiga sumber protein hewani (ikan, daging sapi, dan daging ayam) dikaitkan dengan karakteristik rumah tangga yang berbeda dan menganalisis respon rumah tangga di Indonesia terhadap perubahan harga dan pendapatan pada konsumsi ketiga komoditas tersebut. Model yang digunakan untuk melakukan estimasi adalah model Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS), dengan menggunakan data dari Indonesia Family Life Survey  gelombang 4 (IFLS 4). Jumlah rumah tangga sumber data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 839 rumah tangga.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara parsial harga ikan, harga daging sapi, pengeluaran rumah tangga, wilayah geografi, dan jumlah anggota keluarga berpengaruh terhadap pangsa pengeluaran untuk produk ikan-ikanan, daging ayam, dan daging sapi. Elastisitas permintaan harga permintaan untuk ikan, daging sapi, dan daging ayam masuk dalam kategori inelastis, elastisitas pendapatan untuk daging sapi dan daging ayam masuk kategori elastis, dan ikan mempunyai elastisitas pendapatan yang inelastic.Kata kunci: model Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS), elastisitas harga permintaan, elastisitas silang, elastisitas pendapatan.

Abstract

The main purpose of PPM activity is after  finishing the training students are expected to be able to practice the knowledge and their capabilities in using useless goods as economics learning media as strategy to build the spirit of businessman to teacher and students. There is a special purpose: (a) giving training to economics teacher concerning the use of useless  goods  as  economics  learning  media;  (b)  giving  supplies  and capability  in designing  the  use  of useless goods as  economics  learning media; and (c) giving supplies and capability in using useless goods as economics learning media which is a strategy to build the spirit of businessman in teacher and students. The method of PPM activity used to reach   the target is speech, simulation, and giving an assignment. The result which is reached through PPM activity is (a) Most of participants who have a positive attitude toward training  implementation. This case can be showed from the observation result that  most of serious teachers (95%) and enthusiastic; (b) It is looked from the understanding level toward learning material to show that 100 % participants understand in training material. This case is seemed at the time it  is given assignment to design useless goods from 7 groups, 100% is successful to develop useless goods. The understanding and mastering of teacher toward training material, although there are 2 media groups he or she develops but they are not appropriate to be sold; (c) It is looked from the capability of RPP development by using media of useless goods to show that from 7 groups, there are 6 groups collecting RPP, 1 group do not it; (d) It is looked from the capability to apply in the class showed by assignment the practice of using useless goods as learning media, there are 6 groups do it; and (e) It is looked from the spirit of businessman shows that all participants  are  seemed  to  be  enthusiastic trained  to  sell  product  result which is made of useless goods have been developed. The conclusion of this activity is the activity of dedication to people can  be  made  as  a  means  of  developing  teacher  capability  to  do  new innovations in the case of using and developing useless goods as economics learning media in the class, beside that teacher can do the refreshing and new ideas in learning. It is expected that in the next budget year LPM still facilitates same PPM activity with most of target which is wider so the increase of quality in learning can be felt by more schools and students.

Abstract

Abstrak: Persepsi dan Motivasi Pegawai Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta terhadap    Badan Usaha Koperasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat pengetahuan pegawai tentang perkoperasian; mendeskripsikan persepsi pegawai terhadap koperasi dan motivasi berkoperasi pegawai; dan mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan dan persepsi tentang koperasi terhadap motivasi berkoperasi pegawai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan populasi seluruh pegawai UNY Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik area quota random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, dengan instrumen angket tertutup. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan regresi linier sederhana. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan perkoperasian pegawai berada pada kategori tinggi; persepsi pegawai terhadap badan usaha koperasi sangat baik; dan mereka memiliki motivasi berkoperasi yang tinggi. Pengetahuan perkoperasian tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap motivasi berkoperasi tetapi berpengaruh tidak langsung melalui persepsi tentang koperasi. Kata Kunci: pengetahuan perkoperasian, persepsi tentang koperasi, motivasi berkoperasi. Abstract: Perceptions and Motivation of Yogyakarta State University Employees on Cooperative Enterprises. This study aims to describe employees’ knowledge on cooperatives, employees’ perception of the cooperatives, and employees’ motivation to join cooperatives. Additionally, it examines the effect of knowledge and perceptions on cooperative to employees’ motivation to join cooperatives. This is a survey research. The population of this research is all YSU’s employees. Sample was obtained by quota area random sampling technique. A set of closed questionnaires was employed to collect the data, and then they were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and a simple linear regression. The study found that the employees’ level of knowledge on cooperatives was at the high category; employees’ perception on cooperative was very good; and they have a high motivation to join cooperatives. Knowledge of cooperatives did not have a direct effect on the motivation to join cooperatives, however it had indirect influences through the perception of cooperatives. Keywords: knowledge on cooperatives, perception of the cooperatives, motivation to join cooperatives.
