Abstract

Community resilience to anticipate disaster depends on the possession of social capital that grows in the community. Social capital can produce positive effects, unfortunately, disaster mitigations have been dominated by the development of human capital skills than social capital skills. This study aims to determine the role of social capital in disaster management in the disaster vulnerable communities of the Merapi Mount, taking a case in Girikerto village, Turi Sub-district, Sleman Regency, Special Province of Yogyakarta, Indonesia as one area with high risk of the eruption. Independent interviews and focused group discussions were done involving hamlet heads, village government officials, and members of community disaster organizations; in addition to observation in the village dailylife. The results showed that social capital covering values and norms, commitment, trust, networking and sharing of information or knowledge provides benefits in the form of increased community awareness of disaster, social solidarity, and disaster knowledge of the citizens. Therefore, it is important to held community empowerment using an educational approach that is based on the utilization of social capital directly and planned in disaster vulnerable areas for enlarging the resiliency capacity of community.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan ini dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dalam meningkatan kemampuan kelompok sadar wisata (POKDARWIS). Kemampuan tersebut dalam hal mengelola obyek wisata kawasan karts, antara lain membangun kesadaran kelompok untuk memanfaatkan potensi wisata kawasan karst. Penelitian tindakan ini diwujudkan dalam bentuk pendidikan dan pelatihan dengan tahapan penelitian: perencanaan, pelaksanaan,  evaluasi dan tindak lanjut dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran orang dewasa dan berbasis pengalaman. Kelompok sasaran adalah para pengurus dan anggota kelompok sadar wisata Desa Gebangharjo, Pracimantoro, Wonogiri. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok sasaran mampu meningkatkan kesadaran memanfaatkan segala potensi yang ada di kawasan karst, memiliki sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengelola layanan jasa wisata kawasan karst, mampu mengenali potensi wisata yang dapat dikembangkan, dan mampu melihat upaya pengembangan program wisata yang prospektif di kawasan karst. Oleh karenanya, ke depan dibutuhkan tindakan pengembangan lain yang lebih memungkinkan kelompok sasaran dapat menerapkan sikap, keterampilan, dan pengetahuan yang dimiliki dalam kegiatan implementasi kepariwisataan.The capacity building of tourism concious groups in managing tourism in the karst regionThis action research aimed at increase the ability of tourism awareness group in managing the karts area tourism area; and build group awareness to exploit karst region tourism potential. This research was manifested in the form education and training which is includes stages: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up using adult-learning and experience-based approaches. The target group is the managers and members of the POKDARWIS in Gebangharjo Village, Pracimantoro, Wonogiri. The research result show that the target group able to increase awareness to utilize all potentials in karst area, possessing attitude, knowledge and skills of the target group in managing karst tourism service area, able to recognize the tourism potential that can be developed, and able to see innovatif program development efforts in the karst area. Therefore, another development action is needed that enables the target group to apply the attitudes, skills and knowledge possessed in the tourism implementation activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Merumuskan peta konsep tentang kebutuhan pelatihankepemimpinan pengurus organisasi kepemudaan di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta; 2)Melakukan kegiatan pengembangan model pelatihan kepemimpinan pengurus organisasikepemudaan di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalahPenelitian dan Pengembangan (R D) model Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kebutuhan pelatihan kepemimpinan pengurusorganisasi kepemudaan di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dapat dirumuskan sebagaiberikut: 1. Kebutuhan Pelatihan Keorganisasian, 2. Kebutuhan Pelatihan Instruktur; 3.Pelatihan Kader Inti dan Instruktur. 2) Pengembangan model pelatihan kepemimpinanpengurus organisasi kepemudaan di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dapat dirumuskansebagai berikut: Model pelatihan diselenggarakan oleh organisasi kepemudaan mulai dariorientasi organisasi kepemudaan, Latihan Kepemimpinan Tingkat I, Suplemen 1, untukorganisasi kepemudaan tingkat kabupaten/kota. Sedangkan untuk tingkat propinsi terdiridari Latihan Kepemimpinan Tingkat II, suplemen 2. Abstract

This research resulted in a audio-visual media such as compact discs (CDs) practical guide healthy lifestyle for the elderly and lecture modules on S1 majoring in School Education in Adult Education courses. The development research conducted in Yogyakarta with the target groups of elderly who are members of the elderly community. In this study, data were collected by using group forum discution, in-depth interviews, documentation and observation. Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. Research and development is carried out in two years, the irst year has produced a practical guide CD healthy lifestyles for seniors who already validated in a limited and lecture modules on S1 Department of School Education in Adult Education courses

Abstract

The reported community development program aimed at increase the ability of tourism awareness group in managing the karts area tourism area; and build group awareness to exploit karst region tourism potential. This activity was held for 24 people involved in tourism awereness group namely the "Mudal Wisata" group located in Gebangharjo, Pracimantoro, Wonogiri. It used  education and training which is includes stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation using adult-learning and experience-based approaches. The program have brought advantages in term of the target group able to increase awareness to utilize all potentials in karst area, possessing attitude, knowledge and skills of the target group in managing karst tourism service area, able to recognize the tourism potential that can be developed, and able to see innovatif program development efforts in the karst area. Nevertheless, unfortunately result of activities in the form of awake tourism groups that are able to make an effective and superior tourism program can not be achieved because of, in addition to technical factors, differences of interests exist between group members and group administrators. Therefore, another development action is needed that enables the target group to apply the attitudes, skills and knowledge possessed in the tourism implementation activities.

Abstract

Abstract: The study tour learning model was an outside school learning activity which was organized by lecturers, students and alumni of Non-Formal Education Study Program,  Faculty of Educational Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta as a part of practice activity. This activity was conducted at Gembira Loka Zoo,Yogyakarta. This research aims at implementing the study-tour learning model to nurture the environmental care behaviour through outside learning program. This study can be categorized as action research. The subject of this research was the kindergarten students who visited Gembiraloka zoo. The data were collected through observation and interview, and those were analyzed descriptively. The results showed the followings: (1) the study-tour learning model was conducted through outdoor school activities which involved the following steps: socialization, core activities; welcoming, conditioning, creative corner, zoos or flora tour , reflection and closing; (2) the environmental care behaviors through the activity were friendly, respect, clean environment awareness, compassion on animals and plants, polite, and making good friends.Keywords :study-tour learning model, outside learning, environmental care behavior IMPLEMENTASI MODEL WISATA BELAJAR UNTUK MENUMBUHKAN PERILAKU PEDULI LINGKUNGAN Abstrak: Model wisata belajar dilakukan melalui praktik pembelajaran luar sekolah. Pembelajaran luar sekolah dilakukan di kebun binatang Gembiraloka oleh tim pemandu dan pendamping mahasiswa PLS FIP UNY sebagai bagian dari kegiatan praktik pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan model wisata belajar untuk menumbuhkan sikap peduli pada lingkungan melalui program pembelajaran luar sekolah di kebun binatang. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan sebagai implementasi hasil pengembangan model. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta wisata belajar anak-anak taman kanak-kanak  di kebun binatang Gembiraloka. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dan wawancara serta dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) model wisata belajar dilakukan melalui pembelajaran luar sekolah dengan tahapan sosialisasi program wisata belajar di dinas pendidikan kota/kabupaten, kegiatan inti, penyambutan, bina suasana, pojok kreatif, tour to zoo or flora, reflektif, dan penutup; (2)   perilaku peduli lingkungan  yang berhasil  ditumbuhkan meliputi  ramah dan menghargai sesama, sadar bersih lingkungan, menyayangi binatang, menyayangi tumbuhan, bersikap santun, dan mampu berteman dengan baik.Kata kunci: model wisata belajar, pembelajaran luar sekolah, perilaku peduli lingkungan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang masalah yang dihadapi oleh perempuan khusunya ibu rumah tangga yang tidak memiliki pekerjaan tidak tetap dan memperoleh gambaran tentang potensi lokal yang dapat dikembangkan untuk pemberdayaan perempuan di Desa Bejiharjo Kecamatan Karangmojo Kabupaten Gunungkidul Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan sasaran kelompok-kelompok perempuan di Desa Bejiharjo. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik focus group discussion, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh perempuan khususnya ibu rumah tangga yang tidak memiliki pekerjaan tidak tetap dapat dikelompokan: a) permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan kemiskinan, b) sosial budaya, c) kekerasan rumah tangga, d) pendidikan dan latihan, e) adat istiadat, dan f ) akses sosial perempuan sangat terbatas; 2) banyak potensi yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memberdayakan perempuan terutama ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja di Bejiharjo, antara lain: a) optimalisasi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam, b) sumber daya manusia, c) karakter budaya, dan d) jejaring sosial dan modal sosial yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekripsikan desain model wisata belajar di Kebun Binatang Gembira Loka Yogyakarta. Penelitian tahap awal ini tersusun desain model wisata belajar di GL Zoo merujuk pada penelitian tindakan. Dari informasi yang diperoleh pada tahap pengumpulan data, selanjutnya peneliti mendesain produk yang berupa desain model wisata belajar, menyusun panduan kegiatan, panduan pendampingan, pelaksanaan dan refleksi. Untuk mendukung keberhasilan wisata belajar perlu adanya panduan yang dapat dijadikan acuan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Adapun komponen dalam desain model ini terdiri dari; (1) calon peserta, (2) memilih peserta, (3) Bentuk Kegiatan Wisata Belajar (penyambutan, bina suasana, tour to zoo, zona alam, pojok kreatif, permainan, dan refleksi), (4) Materi Kegiatan sesuai jenis kegiatannya, (5) media, (6) bahan Ajar, (7) penilaian, (8) sosialisasi program, (9) pelaksanaan program, (10) evaluasi program dan (11) pendampingan, Model ini dilengkapi dengan panduan kegiatan, panduan pembelajaran, dan panduan materi wisata belajarKata Kunci: desain model, wisata belajar, laboratorium luar kampus Design of Study-Tour Model in Gembira Loka Zoo Yogyakarta as an Outdoor Laboratory AbstractThe paper is aimed at describing the design of study-tour model in Gembira Loka Zoo Yogyakarta. This initial-phase research comprised the design of study-tour model in Gembira Loka Zoo which refered to action reseach. On the basis of the information gained from the data collection, the researchers designed the product in the form of study-tour model, arranged the guides of activities, accompaniment, implementation, and reflection. In order to support the success of study-tour, a guide which could be used as a reference in the learning activity is needed. The components of the model design consisted of (1) candidates of participant, (2) participants selection, (3) study-tour activity (welcoming, atmosphere building, zoo tour, nature zone, creativity corner, games, and reflections), (4) activity materials suitable to the types of the activity, (5) media, (6) learning material, (7) assessment, (8) program socialization, (9) program implementation, (10) program evaluation, and (11) accompaniment. Abstract

The “sekolah sungai” is an effort to make the community aware of preserving the environment. It is necessary to have a guide book for the implementation of the  sekolah sungai Winongo  so that it is easily understood by all members of the river school. This study aims to produce a guide book for environmentally conscious education models at the sekolah sungai Winongo. This research is a development research with the ADDIE model, which is carried out until the development stage or model development. Data were collected using interviews, observation and assessment of design and product feasibility. Analysis of the initial condition data was carried out descriptively, the feasibility of the product was carried out by the opinion of the river school material expert, the learning media expert was statistically quantitative using the percentage of success of the model. The results of the study were in the form of a guidebook for the model of environmentally conscious education at the Sekolah Sungai Winongo. The results of expert validation and material validation are in very good criteria and are ready to be tested.
