Abstract

This study aimed to reveal how to develop the water cycle stage media for science learning at grade V, to analyze the feasibility of water cycle stage media developed for science learning at grade V, and to reveal the students’ response to the water cycle stage learning media. This study was conducted at SDN Teras 1. The subjects of this study were 20 students at grade V SDN Teras 1, in which 15 students were on a limited trial. This study was conducted based on Borg and Gall model modified by Sugiyono. This model included six stages: namely problem analysis, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product testing. The instruments in this study were questionnaire sheets which were addressed for the lecturer and students. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the quality of the water cycle stage media was presented in three categories. First, the feasibility of water cycle media from the media experts was categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 91.3%. Then, according to the material experts, this media was alo categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 93%. Finally, the feasibility result from education experts was also categorized as very feasible with a percentage of 93%. In addition, after conducting the trial to 15 students, the result of the students’ response to the water cycle stage media was 89%, which was also in the very feasible category.

Abstract

This research was aims to analyze the students’ learning activity based on local wisdom using inquiry model on science subjects. The type of this research is descriptive-quantitatve. The object of this research is the 4th grade students of SDN Banjar Agung 4 with the total of 29 students. The instrument used in this research is observation sheets of students’ learning activities. The final result of this study is an analysis of student learning activity indicators using a local-wisdom based learning model that has been developed previously that obtained the average score of student learning activities is 76.2% with “Good” category and the average score of learning implementation is 96% well implemented. Keywords: local wisdom; inquiry model

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the needs for teaching materials that can explain human digestive system material concretely in the form of comics because with the combination of verbal and nonverbal language in comics can expedite students to understand the contents of the material. The purpose of this research is to describe how the process of developing teaching materials in the form of comics on the concept of the human digestive system for 5th-grade students of elementary schools. The research method used in this research is the research and development method. The data collection techniques used are literature studies and questionnaires, while the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques by analyzing quantitative data and then interpreted in a qualitative. The results of research and development show that the process of comic teaching materials development on the material of the human digestive system goes through six stages namely data analysis, data collection, product design, product design validation, product improvement, and product trials. Moreover, the validity test of comic teaching materials on the concept of the human digestive system has a category of "very feasible" with design test results of 85%, material test results of 90%, and educational test results of 89.3%. While the trial results of 5th-grade students' responses were 88% and included in the criteria of "very good".Keywords: Teaching Material, Comic, Human Digestive System

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaranIPA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakanselama 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari 1 pertemuan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalahtes dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapat hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaranIPA mengalami peningkatan. Abstract

This research aims to develop, determine the feasibility, and determine student responses to Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR)-based worksheer in Science Class IV subjects. The research and Development (R&D) research method with development steps according to Sugiyono. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews and severap experts in material, media, and language to determine the feasibility and responses of fourth-grade students. The results of the study were based on the average value of the results of the validation test on worksheet in material field 86% ‘very feasible’ criteria, 87,85% ‘very feasible’ criteria in the media field, and language field 79,99% ‘feasible’ criteria and student responses with a result og 96,05% ‘very feasible’. Based on these results, the final product in the form of worksheet based on the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) model is suitable for learning activities for fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The development of this science learning module discussed about natural science lessons in elementary schools and includes strengthening student character education, because the reality in the field of natural science lessons is very boring. Through the development of natural science learning modules oriented towards strengthening character education, in this case they show many advantages in making the learning process become systematic and can be done independently anywhere and anytime, so that it can rehearsed students' character in the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to know the students responses and the feasibility study of developing natural science learning modules oriented towards strengthening character education on the material of light and its nature which developed according to the reviews of experts in product trials. Research and development is a method used to collect data, collect information from informants either in writing or orally, researchers collect data by conducting observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis conducted in the field and after the data was collected. The results of this study suggest that the development of natural science learning modules is oriented towards strengthening character education on the material of lights and its nature is that there are assessments of student responses of 89,28%, material experts 95,22%, media experts 93.33%, and linguists 72,5%, from the results of the assessment that the natural science module oriented towards strengthening character education is appropriate for elementary school students to use independently or with a companion.The development of this science learning module discussed about natural science lessons in elementary schools and includes strengthening student character education, because the reality in the field of natural science lessons is very boring. Abstract

This study aims to find out how the peer tutoring method is applied in learning Mathematics which is applied by fifth grade teachers at SDN Kalideres 07. The purpose of this study is to describe the application process and the results of applying the peer tutoring method. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection process was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the application of the peer tutoring method in learning mathematics can increase interaction between students during the activity. Tasks that are difficult to do will be carried out together with the help of students who become tutors.

Abstract

Thematic learning for elementary students is challenging since combining many subjects matter in one topic so the appropriate medium to deliver the subject should be taken into consideration. This study aims to develop animated videos in fifth grade at SDN Cijeruk and determine the video’s feasibility and student responses after using the video. The background of this research is that the teacher only used the lecture method and textbooks, making students feel bored and sleepy. In addition, teachers did not make good use of school facilities with laptops, InFocus, and speakers to apply digital learning media. Teachers also did not make use of their soft skills in using technology. This research method was RD (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the material expert validation from the two validators obtained an average percentage of 89.5%, on the criteria of "very feasible." The validation of linguists from the two validators attained an average percentage of 87% on the "very feasible" criterion. Furthermore, the average percentage of media expert validation from the two validators was 88.5% in the "very feasible" criteria. Hence, the overall average percentage of the material, language, and media validators was 88.3% in the "very feasible" criteria. For student responses, an average percentage of 97.475% was also obtained in the "very good" criteria. Based on the validation results and student responses, this animated video is feasible for school use.

Abstract

AbstractThe need for teaching materials is crucial in supporting the learning process, particularly in online-based learning where digital-based teaching materials are highly necessary. Therefore, this research developed digital teaching materials about the concept of ecosystems in elementary schools. The purpose of this research was to develop teaching materials that meet validity criteria and receive positive feedback from students as users. The research method used was research and development. The data collection techniques used were literature review, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive data analysis through quantitative analysis of the questionnaire, then it was interpreted qualitatively to obtain the feasibility of digital teaching materials and describe students’ responses to the application of digital teaching materials. The results showed that the content validity was “very good”, while the presentation and language validity were in the “good” category. The media validity was categorized as “feasible”. In this case, the software element obtained a “very good” category, and the visual communication element obtained a “good” category. Furthermore, the average student response showed a positive reaction to digital-based teaching materials, with the appearance and presentation aspects rated as “strongly agree” and the benefit aspect rated as “agree”.
