Abstract

The objective of the analysis was to distinguished whether or not or not the utilization of image stories to boost reading comprehension on narrative text of second grade students of SMPN three Lembang in year 2020/2021. The tactic during this analysis used similar experimental analysis. The quasi-experimental analysis designed were used 2 categories that were schooled 2 completely different methodology. The experiment cluster was schooled with image stories, and also the management cluster was schooled standard. The population at the second grades students of SMPN three Lembang carries with it seventy five students, the sample were of forty eight students (26 students) experimental cluster and twenty two students (controlled class). Bearing on the applied mathematics result, the findings of this analysis showed that the mean score of post-tests for the experimental cluster was seventy nine.23, whereas the mean score of post-tests for the management cluster was seventy six.40. it implies that the mean score of the experimental cluster was bigger than will the management teams. it absolutely was obtained that t-test was four.36 and also the t-table was a pair of.51 for alpha (α) zero.05. The t-test was beyond t-table (86.08 > 4.042) It implies that H1 was accepted and metallic element was rejected. supported the findings of this analysis, it is terminated that the used of image stories as methodology to boost reading comprehension on narrative text of second grade students at SMPN three Lembang in pedagogy was effective to enhance the students’ reading skills

Abstract

The aims of this research were: (1) to find out how teachers in rural areas implement the 2013 curriculum in teaching English (2) to find out what problems are faced by English teachers in rural areas in implementing the 2013 curriculum. This research used a qualitative method. The subjects of this research were English teachers of SMPN 9 Seko, SMPN 1 Seko, and SMPN 2 Seko. The total number of subjects was five English teachers. The procedure of this research was collected by doing observation and interviewing the English teachers using questionnaires. The results of this research showed that: first, implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Seko District as a rural area is still not going well and ineffective because there are still components of the teaching and learning process that have not been implemented systematically and precisely in the teaching and learning process. Second, the result based on the interview was the first problem that the teachers faced in teaching English in rural areas is the unavailability of learning media and most of the students still used their local language or mother tongue as a daily language which makes students usually do not understand well when teachers explain the lesson.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan dan minat menulis bahasa Indonesia  siswa kelas IV SD dengan model pembelajaran PBL. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, deskriptif inferensial dalam penelitian ini diberikan perlakuan tertentu (treatment), yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagian dari populasi dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner kemampuan menulis dan minat menulis serta proyek membuat puisi serta dokumentasi.  Tehnik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu pertama dengan menggunakan pendekatan statistik deskriptif, uji prasyarat, dan uji hipotesis Manova. Hasil penelitian, uji hipotesis manova ditemukan nilai signifikansi media pembelaajran berbasis proyek terhadap keterampilan menulis Bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas IV adalah 0.000 < 0.05 yang berarti bahwa Ho di tolak dan H1 diterima, dengan pengambilan keputusan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PBP) terhadap kemampuan menulis Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV; 3) berdasarkan uji multivariate di atas ditemukan nilai sig 0.000 < 0.05 yang berarti bahwa Ho di tolak dan H1 diterima, dengan pengambilan keputusan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PBP) terhadap minat menulis Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV SD

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the pre-questioning technique was effective in increasing students' understanding in reading recount text or not, and to find out how students' perceptions of the pre-questioning and answering technique applied by the teacher to their understanding of reading recount text.  This study uses quantitative methods. This study used a pre-experimental design in which the pre-test, treatment, and post-test were carried out in class. The pre-test was conducted to determine the students' prior knowledge, while in the treatment process the students were taught recount text using the pre-question technique to improve their reading comprehension. Then a post-test was distributed to determine the progress or reading ability of students, this test was given after students were given treatment for four meetings through the pre-question technique. The findings showed that the application of pre-questions was effective in improving students' reading achievement, especially in reading recount texts, this was indicated by the students' post-test scores which were better than the pre-test, both on multiple choice questions and essay questions. In addition, student learning achievement has been shown to increase significantly. This is indicated by the pre-test and post-test interval scores. Students can also find the main idea and supporting details in the text.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the implementation of the School Literacy Movement at the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage through the classroom reading corner at Inpres Elementary school Tombolo, the supporting and inhibiting factors for the use of the classroom reading corner in the implementation of the School Literacy Movement at Inpres elementary School Tombolo. This research was a qualitative research. The study was conducted at Inpres elemtary School Tombolo, Tombolopao District, Gowa Regency. There were 12 informans in this study consisting of the principal, 5 class teachers, 1 librarian, 5 student representatives from each grade level. Data were collected through direch observasition at the Education Unit, in-depth interviews with informants, and documentation of activitees as well as administrative completeness of the implementation of the School Literacy Movement.The results showed that the implementation of the School Literacy Movement at Inpres Elemtary School Tombolo, had been carried out well starting from the Habituation Stage, Development State, and Learning State by utilizing the classroom reading corner, in general, two reading strategies are used, namely silent and loud. The implementation of the School Literacy Movement continues in several classes during the learning period from home deu to the C.19 pandemic by utilizing digital platforms. Sources of reading materials only use the classroom reading corner and school library in the implementation of the School Literacy Movement.

Abstract

This research aims to know the The Analysis of Active Learning and Critical Thinking to the Students Participation in English Debate Community. The research methodology of this research is descriptive qualitative. The techniques of collecting data are speaking test used technique debate and interview test used google forms. The result of this research found that active learning and critical thinking have a connection to debate skills. They are related each other. The active learning may improve critical thinking ability, while debate skills can be improved by having a good critical thinking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca permulaan yang dilakukan oleh anak berkebutuhan khusus (Autis) SD Pertiwi Makassar Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar, untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat membaca permulaan yang dilakukan oleh anak berkebutuhan khusus (Autis) SD Pertiwi Makassar Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpul melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisa data, yang terdiri dari tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan anak berkebutuhan khusus adalah anak yang dalam proses tumbuh kembangnya mengalami gangguan dan hambatan secara bermakna dari kriteria normal dalam karakteristik mental, intelektual, sensorik, neuromotor, fisik, perilaku sosial, kemampuan berkomunikasi kesulitan belajar, berpenyakit kronis, atau gabungan dari dua atau lebih karakteristik tersebut, dan karena gangguan dan hambatan tersebut diperlukan modifikasi layanan pendidikan yang disebut pendidikan khusus untuk mengajar anak berkebutuhan khusus membaca permulaan

Abstract

Development of HOTS-Based Evaluation Instruments in Indonesian Language Lessons for Class V Students at SD Negeri 60 Tondon. Supervised by Munirah and Erwin Akib. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of developing HOTS-based evaluation instruments to determine student learning outcomes. This research is research and development, the development design using 4-D model. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 60 Tondon. Instruments Data collection was carried out through validation test sheets, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, HOTS instruments. The data analysis technique used is descriptive data analysis. The results showed that the HOTS-based evaluation instrument in the form of developing a HOTS-based evaluation instrument was at a value of 3.6 (91%) with a very valid category. The HOTS-based evaluation instrument was declared practical, the results of the analysis of the teacher's response with a value of 4 (100%) in the very practical category, and the results of the student responses with a value of 4 (100%) in the very practical category. The HOTS-based evaluation instrument was declared effective because in terms of student learning outcomes it achieved 81% completeness in the very good category so that it was declared effective. Students are active in the learning process by increasing the level of effective thinking reflected in good learning outcomes.

Abstract

In the world of globalization, communication plays a vital role in getting success in all fields. Language is used as a tool for communication, The objective of the research is certainly intend to answer and solve the problem statement which has been stated before and it’s the aim of this thesis. In line with the research question stated above, the objectives of this research are (1) To figure out the extend using South Sulawesi folktales by storytelling method can improve students speaking competence. (2)To find out the students responses towards using the South Sulawesi folktales by storytelling method in teaching speaking. In doing this study, quasi experimental research is used which requires the careful collection, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative data. based on the data analysis it can be concluded that the result of pretest and posttest scores of experimental class and control class, we could see that the posttest score was higher than pretest.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the used of running records as a learning method could improved students' reading skills at Mts Muhammadiyah Likuboddong. The research method used was the pre-experiment method with one group pretest and posttest design. The researcher collected data by gave  pretest and posttest by gave essay test. The subjects of this study were 2nd grade students of Mts Muhammadiyah Likuboddong. Sampling used total sampling. The total of samples was 18 students.The results showed that the used of running records as a learning method could improved students' reading skills. This was evidenced by the average value of the main idea in the pre test was 44.9 which increased in the posttest to 65.2 with an increased of 45%. While the average value of supporting ideas in the pretest was 40.6, increased in the posttest to 58.8 with an increased of 44%. This means that there was an increased in students' reading ability, especially in literal understanding related to main ideas and supporting ideas and it was concluded that running records as a learning method can improved students' reading skills at Mts Muhammadiyah Likuboddong. Thus it was stated that the Null Hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted.
