Abstract

When a man meets some women in group, it may look normal. However, when the man shows an attitude and behavior that is not naturally done by men in general, such as making a soft, seductive voice or being "girlish" while laughing in a high and loud voice that is normally done by women, although if we see him from the appearance, the man looks neat and fashionable like how men in general, we might have a different opinion about that man again. This phenomenon makes the writer interested in researching about man who have feminine characteristics. Various opinions and judgments will appear from someone who has interacted with feminine men. As posted by an anonymously person on his personal blog about his opinion to his male friend who has different hobbies since his childhood, to a psychologist who provide an explanation of why the feminine traits appear in men and how to handle them. This research aims to find out the motives for management of masculinity impression of feminine men, knowing the front stage, and the back stage of a feminine man in Pekanbaru City.This study uses qualitative research methods. The selection of the subject with the technique of snowball and produce two informants: FZ and HD. Data collection through the stage of observation by following the daily activities of the man who was behaving feminine, perform in depth interviews to corroborate the results, and then the documentation.Research results show that men have feminine motifs as a reason to manage appearance, first ‘because motive’ is the reason feminine man to be masculine because feminine man experience case bullying, discrimination, and labeling. second, ‘in order to motive’ is divided into three, namely self-esteem motive for wanting to be appreciated, the motif of the evaluation where the feminine looking men to themselves in the past, and the motives of the paradigm that is the expectation of a feminine man who wants to change the view that men would not necessarily have the feminine sexual orientation that is distorted. Front stage is someone who wants to showing in accordance with the expectations and values of who wants to be seen by the public and the environment, in this case the feminine man will behave like masculine man in some places like in the general environment, in a workplace, even at home. Back Stage is where the feminine man show himself without the existence of attitudes in settings. Abstract

Begal is included in cases of violent theft, theft with violence using sharp weapons, theft with weighting and theft of motorized vehicles. The stiffness that was initially carried out by adults has now been carried out by teenagers. The high incidence of crime has led to problems in getting special treatment from the police, because crime often endangers the victims, it is not uncommon for victims of casualties to have accidents trying to fight, some cases recorded at Pekanbaru Police, victims of at least injuries to the body and some cases also causes death. This study aims to determine the strategy of selecting communicators, audience selection strategies, message formulation strategies and media selection strategies in informing begal cases to the public.This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of eight people who were selected using a purposive technique. Data collection is done through interviews, observation and documentation. To test the validity of the data the author used the method of extending participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate that the Communicator's Communicator Selection Strategy for Pekanbaru Police in Informing Begal Cases in Pekanbaru City is to choose communicators based on criteria that have been determined by Pekanbaru Police Public Relations. Such as: Having closeness with audiences, Having similarities and social attractiveness, Similarity is another important factor that influences the message delivery by the public, Known for its accessibility and authority, Smart in how to convey messages and Known status, power and authority. The Strategy for Selecting Audiences is that of the Pekanbaru City community as a whole, especially the quiet areas that are usually the place where the settlement occurs. Message Compilation Strategy is by making a message that is easily remembered by the community. Abstract

Divorce petition became a phenomenon that occurred in Pekanbaru. The number of divorce petition cases continues to rise from 2014 to 2016 reaching 2915 cases compared to the number of divorce divorce by talak cases that only reached 1010 cases. Divorce petition that done at a young age is not fair because is not easy to live by having a status as a young widow, in addition she has children. The risk of divorce brings big responsibility for the young widow to survive without support of husband in her side. With the new young widow's experience in life's difficulties, this research aims to find out how the young widows who divorce petition in Pekanbaru for the meaning of status, how they interpretation they life and verbal and non verbal communication experience on divorce petition widow in Pekanbaru.This research used a qualitative method with the Phenomenology of suffering viktor frankl to obtain the experience of someone involved in suffering The research subject consists of three young widows who are divorced peition in Pekanbaru City who are chosen by using snowball technique. Data collection is done through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. And to test validity of data writer use method of extension of participation and triangulation.The result of this reseach is in situation of suffering the young widow tries to divide it and be accepted as part of her life. Young widows interpretation the status he lived as (1) the best way (2) the opportunity to be better and (3) the great woman. The young widow of the divorce suit in Pekanbaru City is the meaning of their life as (1) life is a test and (2) life is an option. While the experience of the young widow's communication experience is categorized into (1) verbal communication experience in the form of advice, praise, to insult (2) nonverbal communication experience of love, sympathy from the opposite sex, guidance, speech tone that understands and glares From people who viewed her negative.Key words : young widow, divorce petition, meaning of life

Abstract

Student neture lover, for the member is only as a community, but it has been became a life for the member. Is their opinions, student neture lover is the second home. Almost everty night, thet gather is the homestay to do activities, such as singing, culding, it is like the campus is never silent. They are look like a mess and careless with their performance, that convince their characteristic as the member of student neture love. This study aims to knowing the underlying motive behind self, concept of member and self aspects are formed on student neture lover.This study is using phenomenology approaching and data collection is using purposive sampling ammount to five, with data collections technique is in depth interview participant, oberservation participant, and documentation. Meanwhile, for validity correction terchinique, the resercher is using extension opt-in techinique and the then the reseracher is processing the data for reducted and presented until produce generai conlusion.The result of this study indicate that the underlying motive behind the student become student neture lover because there is hobby, enveronmental of domicile and nateru activities. The factors that affect self-concept of student nature lover, because there is education factor, teach the each member to become discipline persone, form the characteristic, caring the neture, the other can giving information about student neture lover that thery get form student camp, member and senior Fisip (Faculty of Social and Political Science) and aapects of self, concept are formed on student neture lover, they are psychic, comfortable as a member, and social aspects because there is caring for the others affeected by disaster.Keywords: Concept self, Student Neture Lover

Abstract

The research to see how cohesiveness were build from communication perspective. In this research, I have my focused to Fresh Teen Community. The intention of this research are to reveal communication pattern thai done by The Fresh Teen Community to build a cohesiveness. I using Grup Think theory from Irvin L. Janis as a basic of this research. This theory said that ini cohesiveness were build by a high intensity communication, high enthusiasm of the group members , and they always try to find a consensus as a priority.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Researchers pointed to four key informants and the informants support as resources. To compile the data, researchers using interviews, observation, and documentation study. Be descriptive presentation to answer questions that have been identified previously.Results of this study indicate that the Fresh Teen Community always apply good communication and intensively to build group cohesiveness. Group cohesiveness is evident from the compactness and solidity that exists among the members of the group. The study also revealed that communication had a big role in improving group cohesiveness.

Abstract

PT. Pertamina Refinery Unit II Dumai is a state-owned company that moves in the fields of energy, petrochemicals and other businesses that can support the business of Pertamina both domestically and abroad. As one of the largest refineries in Sumatra and has a large oil production, it is directly proportional to the waste produced. This waste causes RU II to be very vulnerable to negative issues regarding the environment. To anticipate this issue being spread widely through reporting, it is very important for PT Pertamina RU II to establish relations with the mass media, considering that the media has a major influence in creating public opinion. In establishing relationships with the media, appropriate tactics and strategies are needed so that the cooperation between the company and the media can continue to run well. This study aims to determine the media relations strategy used by PT Pertamina RU II Dumai in increasing publicity in the mass media.This study used qualitative research methods. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique with the number of informants in this study amounted to six people. Next the data collection technique consists of interviews, observation, and documentation. While, data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis. The technique of checking the validity of the data uses an extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate the Comm & CSR of PT Pertamina RU II Dumai in increasing publications in the mass media using a media relations strategy which was presented by Yosal Iriantara, among others, First managing relations. The relationship that occurs between RU II and the media is the relationship between humans who are familiar like a friend and as if they are separated from the task relations and work relations. RU II opens the widest door for every journalist who wants to join in any media relations activities conducted by RU II, besides that RU II also runs various media relations activities, namely media gathering, media visits, coffee mornings, lunch meetings, sports day media and Pertamina's journalistic award event. The two develop strategies by providing training to journalists, using various media, establishing cooperation contracts and providing press releases. The third developed a network by establishing intense relations with the Indonesian Journalists Association organization.

Abstract

Technological developments bring people into a postmodern era where many online communities are formed and virtual communication has become a daily life in the community. In virtual communication identity is important because communicants are not face to face but rather communicate through intermediary text. Identity is closely related to the process of representation, because someone gets an identity when the existence is interpreted by others. Identity is an important part of self-concept. Self-concept is not just a descriptive picture, but also your judgment about yourself. Identity is a part of ourselves that we are known by others.The purpose of the research is to find out the self representation in the selection of virtual identities among members of the online game virtual community. This study uses qualitative methods, data collection techniques in this study are interviews and participant observation. The informant subjects were selected using purposive sampling technique, the informants in this study were 3 people from the Clover community members. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, collecting data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and evaluations using the validity of data checking techniques, namely extension of equality and triangulation.            The results of this study are the process of representation carried out by informants can produce a new identity that is used by informants in the virtual community online game Clover. Virtual identities that are formed from the process of self-representation of the Informants can be well received. Virtual identity that is in a different form from its real identity in the real world. New virtual identities that are shaped are influenced by several external factors, namely, social environment, reference groups, and idol figures. In this study we found a correlation between the time playing online games in a day with social interactions in the real world and cyberspace.Keyword: Self Representation, Indentity Virtual, Cyber Community

Abstract

The violence that happens in the household every year is always increasing. This incident is more and more revealed because of the law that regulates the abolition of violence in the household. The Indonesian people still consider that domestic violence is limited to physical violence, but in the abolition of domestic violence there are four types of violence, namely; 1) physical violence, 2) psychic violence, 3) sexual violence and, 4) economic violence. The purpose of this study is to know how the physical and psychological meaning of women victims of domestic violence and to know the communication experience of women victims of violence in the household. This research uses qualitative research method with phenomenology approach. The study subjects consisted of three women victims of family sergeant who were obtained by using snowball technique. Data collection techniques in this study through in-depth interviews, and documentation, to achieve the validity of data in this study, the authors use the extension of participation, and triangulation. The results showed that physical violence performed in the form of slap, pulled hair, and kicks, while psychic violence obtained, cursing, demeaning, and pressure. The communication experiences of women victims of domestic violence tend to be negative or unpleasant in the form of being threatened, insulted and degraded by the husband and become the gossip material of the neighbor.

Abstract

Use shar'i hijab among Muslim today has become a phenomenon. Hijab syar'i not yet old-fashioned clothes and rigid model for a Muslim, is now so many models that mix and match colors and patterns so as to remove the effects of rigid and archaic that has been attached to the hijab syar'i. This phenomenon has been accompanied by the rise of online sales system is so attractive but informants in this study is still more favor with the Word of Mouth, By using the phenomenological theory of Alfred Schutz and the concept of Word of Mouth research results; communication Word of Mouth (WOM) is considered successful influence prospective buyers, because even if the purchase happens online, the kind of sales that berlangsusng a direct sales activities with direct marketing strategy. The purchase by Word of Mouth (WOM) is more interested in the Jemaah Salafi because they regard it as a Muslim woman and a sinner is a sinner misconduct. System on the basis of religious beliefs is what causes WOM strategy to be more effective, especially as the seller is a member of the Salafi school or at least use the hijab syar'i. Keyword : WOM, buy and sell, salafi

Abstract

Reality show with the theme of social and poverty in general the story of someone who lives in poverty and has shortcomings, both economically and physically. One reality show with the theme of social and poverty is a reality show episode edges of Consecrated Holy Andika. Episode BaktiAndika Holy featuring a boy struggles to support his family and also meet the needs of his brother without a father figure and only accompanied by a mother who has limitations in speaking and listening. This study was conducted to see how the reality show edges pack a phenomenon and poverty explain denotation, connotation and myth then shown again on the outskirts of the reality show episode Holy BaktiAndika.This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis technique semiotics of Roland Barthes. The object of research is the video display program outskirts of the reality show episode Holy BaktiAndika with a duration of 21 minutes 1 second that aired on January 17, 2016.The results of this study indicate that: (1) The meaning of denotation poverty on impressions Suburb People accentuate poverty as a condition identical to the material shortages and the inability to meet the physical needs of everyday. (2) The meaning connotation indicates that in general the poor, who work for a living is not only done by the head of the family, but the whole family, including children. (3) The myth that developed in the community that poverty is a form of structural poverty (caused by human activity), such as the lack of facilities of an area as well as the inequality of local communities with urban communities, as well as poor people are considered to have the attitude of surrender or accept things as they are and resignation this associated with traditional cultural society.Keyword: semiotic analysis, Reality Show, Proverty.
