Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi dalam pemecahan masalah matematika ditinjau dari perbedaan gender pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 orang siswa kelas VIII, yaitu 1 orang siswa laki-laki berkemampuan matematika tinggi (KTL) dan 1 orang siswa perempuan berkemampuan matematika tinggi (KTP). Untuk pengumpulan data, instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tertulis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) pada proses menganalisis dan mengevaluasi ide matematis dan strategi penyelesaian, subjek KTL mampu menganalisis dan mengevaluasi ide matematis yang tersedia pada permasalahan dengan baik, sedangkan subjek KTP tidak mampu menganalisis dan mengevaluasi ide matematis yang tersedia pada permasalahan dengan baik; (2) pada proses mengkomunikasikan ide matematis dan strategi penyelesaian, subjek KTL mengerjakan setiap langkah dengan prosedur yang cukup lengkap dan detail namun tidak mahir menggunakan alternatif/prosedur lain untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan, sedangkan subjek KTP mengerjakan setiap langkah dengan prosedur yang ringkas namun mahir menggunakan alternatif/prosedur lain untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan; dan (3) pada proses menggunakan bahasa matematika untuk menyatakan ide matematis secara tepat, kedua subjek menggunakan dan memahami dengan baik beberapa pemisalan dan model matematika yang digunakan dalam penyelesaian soal.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan komunikasi matematis, kemampuan matematika tinggi, gender.Abstract. This research is a qualitative research that has a purpose to describe mathematical communication ability of students with high level mathematical ability in solving mathematics problem with regards to gender differences in material system of linear equation in two variabels. The subjects in this research were 2 students on grade VIII, that is one male student with high level mathematical ability (KTL) and one female student with high level mathematical ability (KTP). For data collection, the instruments used are written test and interviews. The results showed that (1) in the process of analyze and evaluate the mathematical ideas and solving strategies, the subject KTL be able to analyzed and evaluated the mathematical ideas on the problem well, while the subject KTP did not be able to analyzed and evaluated the mathematical ideas on the problem well; (2) in the process of communicate their mathematical thinking coherently and clearly, the subject KTL do every step with a complete and detailed procedure but are not adept at using alternative/other procedures to solve the problem given, while the subject KTP does every step with a concise yet advanced procedure using alternatives/other procedures to resolve the given problem; and (3) in the process of use the language of mathematics to express mathematical ideas precisely, both subjects used and well understood some of the mathematical modeling and models used in solving the problems.Keywords: Mathematical communication ability, high level mathematical ability, gender.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa berdasarkan tingkat kepercayaan diri pada materi statistika. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 3 orang siswa kelas XI SMK di kabupaten Kabupaten Soppeng, yaitu 1 siswa dengan kepercayaan diri tinggi (KDT), 1 siswa dengan kepercayaan diri sedang (KDS) dan 1 siswa dengan kepercayaan diri rendah (KDR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) KDT mengomunikasikan ide matematisnya dalam bentuk diagram lebih baik dibanding subjek lain. KDT menganalisis dan menjelaskan ide matematis secara lebih rinci dan detail. KDT menulis penyelesaian serta memberikan alasan yang jelas dari pernyataan yang ungkapkannya (2) KDS mampu mengomunikasikan ide matematisnya ke dalam bentuk diagram, namun kurang mampu menentukan interval nilai yang digunakan dengan tepat. KDS mampu menganalisis dan mampu menjelaskan ide matematis secara lisan, namun tidak mampu menjelaskan strategi penyelesaian secara lisan. KDS kurang mampu menulis penyelesaian dengan informasi yang lengkap, namun sudah mampu memberikan alas an dari sebuah pernyataan yang diungkapkan; (3) KDR mampu mengomunikasikan ide matematisnya ke dalam bentuk diagram, namun kurang mampu menentukan interval nilai yang digunakan dengan tepat. KDR kurang mampu menganalisis ide matematis dan tidak mampu menjelaskan strategi dalam membuat diagram. KDR sudah mampu menulis penyelesaian namun tidak mampu memberikan alasan terhadap pernyataan yang diungkapkan.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan komunikasi matematis, kepercayaan diri The purpose of the research was to describe students’ mathematical communication abilities based on their levels of self-confidence in topic of statistics. The subjects were 3 students of class XI SMK in Soppeng. They were one student with high self-confidence (KDT), one student with medium self-confidence (KDS) and one student with low self-confidence (KDR). The results showed that (1) KDT communicate mathematical ideas in diagrams better than others. KDT analyze and explain mathematical ideas in detail. KDT could write and give clear reasons; (2) KDS could communicate mathematical ideas in diagrams, but in determining the interval of values used, KDS could not do it correctly. KDS could analyze and explain ideas orally but unable to explain strategies used in making diagrams orally. KDS could not answer with complete information but could provide reasons; (3) KDR could communicate mathematical ideas in diagrams, but in determining the interval of values used, KDR could not do it correctly. KDR was less able to analyze mathematical ideas and unable to explain the strategies used in making diagram. Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berpikir kreatif dan kepercayaan diri siswa yang mengikuti organisasi sekolah terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi peluang pada siswa SMA Segeri Kabupaten Pangkep. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Segeri pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Pengambilan sample menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Kemudian didapat 2 kelas sebagai sampel.Penelitian ini hanya meneliti siswa yang mengikuti organisasi sekolah dengan jumlah siswa yang mengikuti organisasi sekolah dari 2 kelas yaitu 43 orang siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga instrumen, yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, angket percaya diri dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Data yang diolah menggunakan SPSS. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Segeri yang mengikuti organisasi sekolah berada pada kategori sedang, kemampuan berpikir kreatif berada pada kategori baik dan sangat baik sedangkan untuk percaya diri siswa dikategorikan sedang. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh secara bersama-sama antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kepercayaan diri siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Segeri.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan berpikir kreatif, kepercayaan diri, hasil belajar matematika.Abstract. This research is ex post facto research aims to know the influence of creative thinking and self confidence of students who follow the organization of the school on the mathematics learning outcomein material opportunities of students of SMA Segeri Pangkep regency. The population of this study is all students of class XI IPA SMA Segeri in the academic year 2016/2017. Sampling using simple random sampling technique.Then got 2 classes as sample. This research only examine student who follow organization of school with number of student follow school organization from 2 classes that is 43 students. The data were collected by using three instruments, namely the test of creative thinking ability, self-confidence questionnaire and test of mathematics learning result. The data is processed using SPSS. The result of descriptive statistics analysis shows that the result of mathematics learning of class XI IPAstudents of SMA Negeri who follow the organization of the school is in the medium category, the ability to think creatively is in good category and very good while for the students' self-confidence is categorized being. The result of inferential analysis shows that there is a mutual influence between the ability of creative thinking and students 'self confidence in the students' mathematics learning outcomes of grade XI IPA SMA Segeri.Keywords: Creative thinking ability, self confidence, mathematics learning outcome.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel dan faktor penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 2 siswa kelas IX.A yang dipilih berdasarkan banyanya  kesalahan yang dilakukan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis yang memuat 1 butir soal uraian dan pedoman wawancara. Kesalahan yang dianalisis dikategorikan dengan menggunakan kategori kesalahan Newman yang terdiri dari 5 kesalahan yaitu kesalahan membaca, kesalahan memahami, kesalahan mentransformasikan, kesalahan memproses dan kesalahan menuliskan jawaban akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan kriteria kesalahan Newman, kesalahan yang terjadi adalah tidak mampu menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan apa yang ditanyakan, tidak mampu membuat model matematika dengan benar, tidak mampu menggunakan prosedur, salah dalam menggunakan operasi hitung dan tidak mampu menyimpulkan hasil akhirnya.. Penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan adalah tidak memahami informasi yang ada pada soal, kurangnya ketelitian siswa, dan kurangnya keterampilan, lupa, dan tergesa-gesa dalam menjawab soal. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan tentang jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa SMP pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel khususnya dalam mengerjakan soal yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga dalam proses pembelajaran kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan dapat segera diminimalisir.Kata kunci: Kesalahan, Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua variabel, Prosedur Newman.Abstract.This research aimed to describe the types of errors made by students in solving mathematical problems in the Two-Linear Linear Equation System and the factors causing students to make mistakes. The research subjects consisted of 2 students of class IX.A who were selected based on how many errors were made in solving math story problems. The instrument used is a written test that contains 1 item description and interview guidelines. The errors analyzed are categorized using the Newman error category which consists of 5 errors, namely reading errors, misunderstanding, errors in transforming, processing errors and errors in writing the final answer. The results showed that based on the Newman error criteria, the errors that occurred were not being able to write down what was known and what was asked, not being able to make a mathematical model correctly, unable to use procedures, wrong in using count operations and unable to conclude the final results. The cause of students making mistakes is not understanding the information in the problem, lack of accuracy of students, and lack of skills, forgetting, and hurrying in answering questions. The results of this study are expected to add insight into the types of errors made by junior high school students in the material system of linear equations of two variables, especially in working on problems related to everyday life so that in the learning process mistakes made can be minimized immediately.Keywords: Errors, Two-Linear Linear Equation System, Newman’s Procedure.

Abstract

PKM program was performed by providing trainingand mentoring activities to participants about the RealisticMathematics Education for elementary school teachers withthe aims of (1) to increase knowledge about the RealisticMathematics Eduaction, (2) participants can implement theRealistic Mathematics Education in the learning process, and(3) participants can disseminate or disseminate knowledge ofthe Realistic Mathematics Education. The main targetaudience of this PKM program were school supervisors,school principals and school teachers in the TinggimoncongDistrict, Gowa Regency, South-Sulawesi Province. The resultsobtained in the PKM program activities were increasedknowledge and concepts of Realistic Mathematics Educationof PKM program participants, increased development skills inthe Realistic Mathematics Education of PKM programparticipants, PKM program participants can make examplesand compile the Realistic Mathematics Education activities inthe class, and PKM program participants can implement theRealistic Mathematics Education in the learning process atschool. Other results obtained were increased of participants’motivation in knowing the material of realistic mathematicslearning and the high enthusiasm of participants indisseminating the results of PKM program, especially thematerial on Realistic Mathematics Education.

Abstract

The PKM program is carried out by the method of providing training and guidance to participants regarding the preparation of HOTS level questions to increase activities in carrying out learning with the aim of (1) to improve the quality of evaluation tools, (2) participants can implement properly compiling HOTS level questions in the learning process, and (3) participants can disseminate or disseminate knowledge about HOTS level questions. The main target audience for the PKM Program activities are school supervisors, school principals and school teachers in Tinggimoncong sub-district, Gowa district, South Sulawesi province. The results obtained in PKM program activities are increased knowledge and concept of HOTS level questions for PKM program participants, increased skill in preparing HOTS level questions for PKM program participants, PKM program participants can make examples and arrange HOTS level questions in learning class , and PKM program participants can implement the preparation of HOTS level questions in learning at school. Other results obtained were increased motivation of participants in knowing the materials for formulating HOTS level questions and the high enthusiasm of participants in disseminating or disseminating PKM program results, especially in the formulation of HOTS level questions. Outputs of PKM activities are (1) increasing participant's knowledge regarding activity materials, (2) scientific articles published at national seminars, and (3) publications on PKM implementation on online media.

Abstract

Program PKM dilakukan dengan metode memberikan pelatihan, bimbingan, dan pendampingan kepada peserta mengenai pembelajaran matematika realistik yang dilakukan secara daring. Tujuan pelaksanaan PKM yaitu (1) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai karya tulis ilmiah, (2) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan karya tulis ilmiah dalam proses pembelajaran, dan (3) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan karya tulis ilmiah dalam proses pembelajaran. Khalayak sasaran utama dalam kegiatan ini yaitu guru-guru sekolah TK, SD, SMP/MTS, SMA/SMK/MAN diseluruh wilayah Indonesia. Wilayah lokasi mitra meliputi seluruh Indonesia karena PKM dilakukan secara daring (online) yang disebut dengan PKM-Virtual. Kegiatan pelatihan dan workshop dilaksanakan berpusat di Jurusan Matematika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan program PKM yaitu (1) meningkatnya pengetahuan mengenai karya tulis ilmiah, (2) meningkatnya kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta mengintergrasikan karya tulis ilmiah dalam proses pembelajaran, dan (3) peserta dapat mengimplementasikan pelaksanaan karya tulis ilmiah dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil lain yang diperoleh yaitu meningkatnya motivasi peserta dalam mengetahui materi pembelajaran matematika realistik dan tingginya antusiasme peserta dalam menyebarluaskan atau mendiseminasikan hasil-hasil program PKM terutama materi pengembangan soal-soal level HOTS. Luaran/output kegiatan PKM yaitu (1) meningkatnya pengetahuan peserta mengenai materi-materi kegiatan, (2) artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasi pada seminar nasional, dan (3) publikasi pelaksanaan PKM pada media online.

Abstract

The PKM program focused on providing trainingand mentoring activities to participants regarding PedagogicContent Knowledge (PCK) to improve the quality of thelearning process with the aims of (1) to increase knowledgeabout PCK, (2) participants can implement the PCK well in thelearning process, and (3) participants can disseminateknowledge of PCK. Other results obtainedwere the increased motivation of participants in knowing thePCK and the high enthusiasm of participants in disseminatingthe results of the PKM program, especially the informationabout PCK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemandirian belajar, kecemasan matematika dan prokrastinasi terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa SMP. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 98 siswa kelas VIII SMP. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan angket. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket kemandirian belajar, angket kecemasan matematika, angket prokrastinasi dan tes prestasi belajar matematika Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kemandirian belajar, kecemasan matematika dan prokrastinasi secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, (2) kemandirian belajar berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, (3) kecemasan matematika berpengaruh negatif terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa, (4) prokrastinasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa.Kata kunci: kemandirian belajar, kecemasan matematika, prokrastinasi, prestasi belajar matematika.This research is a quantitative study with an ex post facto approach aimed to determine the effect of learning independence, mathematics anxiety, and procrastination on mathematics learning achievement of SMP. The sample in this study was 98 students of class VIII SMP. The data collection techniqueused in this research is questionnaire and test. The instruments used are questionnaire learning independence, questionnaire mathematics anxiety, questionnaire procrastination, and test mathematics learning achievement. The data analysis used the multiple linear regression analysis. The result of the research shows that: (1) learning independence, mathematics anxiety, and procrastination jointly influence student's mathematics learning achievement, (2) learning independence had a positive effect on student’s mathematics learning achievement, (3) mathematics anxiety had a negative effect on mathematics learning achievement. Student’s, (4) procrastination has a negative effect on student’s mathematics learning achievement.Keywords: learning independence, mathematics anxiety, procrastination, mathematics learning achievement

Abstract

This research of development aims to develop an e-module based on Flip PDF with valid, practical, and effective integer and fraction material. This research conducted in R&D (Research and Development) design with ADDIE’s development model which included 5 stages, those are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Respondents of the product development trial were grade VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Bulukumba with 64 students. The research instrument was a media assessment sheet by media experts and material experts to measure the validity and then questionnaires for teacher and student responses to measure the practicality of the mathematics e-module. The results showed that the mathematics e-module fulfilled the validity and practical criteria. The product meets the criteria of validity based on the assessment by the material expert with an average score of 3.88 and the assessment by the media expert with an average score of 3.33. The product meets the practicality criteria based on student responses with an average score of response at 3.72, categorized as practical, and teacher responses with an average score of response at 3.7, categorized as very practical. Based on the data criteria above, it can be concluded that the mathematics e-module can be used in learning activities. Further research can be done by developing learning media on specific abilities.
