Abstract

Abstark : A research was conducted in November to August 2016 to collect data on types of medicinal plants from traditional cure in Enok Sub-district Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research consists of 2 stages. The first stage is collecting data of medicinal plants by survey method (interview and field observation). Data which were obtained are analyzed by descriptive method. The second stage is designing learning module of biology as a result of the research. The study found 110 species from 53 families of medicinal plants used in traditional medicine in Enok, Indragiri Hilir District. Family of medicinal plants that is widely taken is Zingiberaceae (11 species); also, habitus of medicinal plants widely used are herbs, 42 species. There are 51 species of medicinal plants found in the yard, and 63 species, which are believed, are able to cure many diseases particularly digestive system. The research also shows that 47.5% of medicinal plant parts utilized are leaves, while the treatment of medicinal plants widely used is boiled (48.5%), and drinking is the popular way to take this medicine (56.8%). 5 out of 110 types of potential plants are found in this area. Unfortunately, these plants are still strange from the society. Based on the potential analysis of high school biology syllabus, there are 8 basic competencies related to the research result and can be developed as a source of learning design of one of the modules on the concept of biodiversity utilization.Keywords : Inventory, Medicinal Plant, Enok District, Module Design

Abstract

Abstract : This research conducted at VII.class of SMPN 3 Rimba Melintang the 2015/2016 school year to improve student learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model STAD. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The parameters in this study is the thoroughness of learning outcomes derived from the value of post tets and the daily test, student activities and teacher's activities and there are collected using observation sheet. The results showed increased absorbency where first post test is 75.20 into 79.50 in post test 2, while the second cycle value increased 85.00 first post test on second post test to 90.6. Mastery learning increased from the first cycle that 74.55 (enough), being 80.70 (both) in the second cycle. Choice group increased from the first cycle, four great groups and one group of super, into three great groups and two groups of super in the second cycle. Student activity increased from the first cycle average of 81.73% to 94.04% in the second cycle. Teacher activity increased from the first cycle an average of 75% (enough), to an average of 95% (excellent) on the second cycle. It can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD can improve learning outcomes of VII.grade science students at SMPN 3 Rimba Melintang 2015/2016 school year.Keywords :Cooperative Learning Type STAD, Learning achievement

Abstract

Abstract: This research was to determine the composition and structure of vegetation strata tree in Tourism Regions Hapanasan Sialang Jaya village of Pasir Pengaraian and develop a handout to the concept of biodiversity in the senior high school. The study was conducted in November 2013 and June 2014. The study was carried out by two phases: biological research on the composition and structure of vegetation and tree strata, development stage handout. This study used a survey method. Mechanical conducting a survey conducted using the method with plot size 20x20m plots distributed on a line (transect). Sample was done by using purposive sampling. The study was conducted in zone A is the zone that should not be disturbed and there are two stations were selected as the study site. The results showed that the composition of the vegetation strata tree on two research stations in Area Tourism Hapanasan found 37 species of trees from 19 tribes. The highest importance value index spesies was Mahang 2 (Macaranga hypoleuca) with a value of 101.011% and the lowest spesies was Kiara Payung (Filicium decipiens) with a value of 2.696%. Diversity index (H') in station I was high (3.255) and at station II was medium (2.168). The results of the research have been developed as a handout that is the material of Biodiversity in high school class X.Key Words: species composition, vegetation structure, handout

Abstract

Abstract: Aims of this research is determine the vegetation of trees and CO2 uptake in Pekanbaru City Green Belt and to develop module concept of air pollution control efforts on biology content in senior high school grade X in November 2015 to January 2016. The method used is purposive sampling method at 23 locations of green belt, while the module development is done using ADDIE models. Parameters used include tree vegetation, crown cover and CO2 uptake. Tree vegetation in the Green Belt Pekanbaru City has 21 family, 49 species and 11.588 trees. Green Belt Pekanbaru City had a density of 416.040 trees/ha, the frequency of 5.266, the dominance of 165.711 m2/ha, the diversity index 1,404 (medium category). The kind that has the highest important value index is Swietenia macrophyla amounted to 94.468%. Crown cover obtained for 10.098 ha, while the CO2 uptake of 354.682 tons/ha. The results of the research can be developed in to a module by showing a very valid category (4.24) and the limited test results by leaners show good category (83.96).Key Words: Green belt, module, CO2 uptake, tree vegetation

Abstract

Abstract: Learning is an activity of a person in the potential uses of mind and nuraninya both in structured or not in order to gain knowledge, build up attitudes, and has certain skills. The low average value of student learning outcomes MTS Muhammadiyah Bagansiapiapi caused due to the lack of student involvement in the learning process to follow. One alternative to the workaround is to use an innovative learning models. One of the learning models that can improve student learning outcomes is a cooperative learning model of type Numbered Heads Together (NHT).The research is the research of class action aimed at improving the results of the study of biology students with the application of the cooperative learning model of type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Class VII MTS Muhammadiyah Bagansiapiapi Lessons Year 2015/2016. This research was conducted in March-April 2016. The subject of research is the grade VII MTS Muhammadiyah Bagansiapiapi totalling 28 people which consisted of 15 students and 13 students. Parameters measured were the result of student learning that consists of absorption, ketuntasan students can study individually, the awards group and activity of students as well as teachers ' activity. The average absorbance on a cycle I was 74.28 (good) increased in cycle II becomes 80.17 (good). Ketuntasan students can study in cycle I, namely 78.57% with an average score of 74.28 and cycle II increased to 92.85% with an average score of 80.17. Group Award at the cycle I, 1 Group 4 and group super predicate predicate excellent increase in cycle II, 2 groups 3 groups and super predicate predicate excellent. Learning activities of students in cycle I, namely 77.22% (good) increased in cycle II becomes 86.82% (very good). The activity of the teacher in the cycle I and cycle II that is 100% (very good). From the results it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning Model of type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve the results of studying biology Grade VII MTS Muhammadiyah Bagansiapiapi Lessons Year 2015/2016Key words: Cooperative Learning, Learning Outcomes, Kooperatif Type Numbered Heads Together (NHT)

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the best composition of water hyacinth and coconut shell in making briquettes. This study was conducted from January to April 2017. The results were used as the design of the conventional biotechnology student worksheet in Senior High School. This research was conducted with 2 stages, first stage of making of briquettes mixture of water hyacinth and coconut shell in the Mechanical Engineering Production Laboratory of the University of Riau using RAL consisting of 7 treatments and 3 replications. Second, the design stage of the student worksheet use the learning model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) which only until the design stage. The making of briquettes mixture water hyacinth and coconut shell consists of raw material preparation stage, stage of carbonization, stage size reduction, briquette dough making stage, and briquette printing stage. Parameters in this research are water content, ash content, calorific value, density, and firmness of pressure. From the result of research got that treatment with ratio 1: 4 (B3) is the best treatment in making briquettes mixture water hyacinth and coconut shell. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to determine the Litter Production of The Rumbio Traditional Forest Bans Kampar District in September and November 2014. Research results are used for developing interactive learning media material to the concept Ecosystem Biogeochemistry Recycling. This research was carried out by two phases: the measurement of litter production and development stage interactive learning media. Litter production research conducted by using stratified random sampling survey, where there are 3 topography that valley, sloping and hilly. Each topography consists of 3 Litter trap with a size of 1x1 meters and is taken from the litter Litter trap container every 2 weeks for 2 months of the study. The parameters observed dropping litter composition of leaves, twigs, flowers and fruits. At this stage of the development of interactive learning media, carried out using ADDIE models. The results showed that the production of forest litter Prohibition of Indigenous Rumbio 426.6767 gr / m2 / week. Results of the research have been developed as an interactive learning media in the biogeochemical cycle of matter in the High School Class X.Keywords: Litter, Litter Production, Media Interactive Learning

Abstract

Abstract : This study aimed to improve learning outcomes IPA Accounting class XI student of SMK Bagan Rokan Siapiapi through the implementation of cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Divisions ( STAD ) which was conducted in March 2016 to April 2016. The sample in this study were students of class XI accounting for 23 students comprising 15 female students and eight male students . The parameters of this study are student learning outcomes and student akitivitas . The research instrument that pembelajara device , a test sheet ( post test and UH ) and student activity observation sheet . The collected data were analyzed descriptively . Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the rate of leaf litter decomposition in Forest Areas native Prohibition Rumbio in September 2014 and January 2015. The study was conducted in two phases, phase field research and development of learning modules. Determination of the research station in purposive sample by three research stations as representing the forest community as a whole. At each station gets 15 bags of waste and the waste that is deposited on the forest floor litter bags were collected every interval of 15 days and dried for 75 days in the oven for 48 hours at a temperature of 700C – 750C. Each station measured soil temperature, soil moisture and pH of the soil and the types of trees on a plot measuring 20x20 m. The results showed the rate of leaf litter decomposition in Forest Areas native Prohibition Rumbio for 75 different days in each station, station 1 at a rate of waste decomposition leaf 0.0028 gr/m2/day, station 2 with a blade speed of waste degradation of 0.002 gr/m2/day, and the station 3 with the leaf litter degradation rate of 0.0018 gr/m2/day . The results of this study was developed as the development of learning modules on the concept of tropical forest ecosystems in the High School Class X. Abstract

Abstract: Riau Province has the largest aquatic forest area in Sumatra. One of aquatic forest area located in Buluh Cina Village. This village has a natural ecosystem, that is Buluh Cina Lake. The aim of this study is to describe species of aquatic plant in Tanjung Putus Lake as environment potency as the study source for applying environmental base learning. This study held on September untill November 2016. The sample in this study is community of aquatic plant in Tanjung Putus Lake. This descriptive study with purpossive sampling method applying a line transect combined with 1x1 m plotting started from shoreline to the deeper lake area. This study found 26 species of aquatic plant. These aquatic plant consist of two type of aquatic plant, those are submersed plant and root floating plant. While two other type of aquatic plant was not found in this lake. Some of aquatic plant are familiar to the Buluh Cina people.. This 26 species consist of 18 family and 18 ordo.
