Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menjelaskan kontribusi motivasi belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X MAN 1 Bukittinggi; (2) menjelaskan kontribusi penguasaan kosakata terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X MAN 1 Bukittinggi; (3) menjelaskan kontribusi motivasi belajar dan penguasaan kosakata secara bersama-sama terhadap keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X MAN 1 Bukittinggi. Sampel penelitian dari jumlah populasi setiap kelas, yaitu 43 siswa. Data penelitian ini berupa skor hasil pengisian angket motivasi belajar, skor hasil tes penguasaan kosakata, dan skor hasil tes keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi belajar dan penguasaan kosakata dapat dijadikan prediktor untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi. Oleh sebab itu, untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar keterampilan menulis, maka siswa diberikan motivasi belajar menulis dan penguasaan kosakata.This study aims to: (1) explain the contribution of learning motivation to the writing skills of exposition text of class X MAN 1 Bukittinggi students; (2) explain the contribution of vocabulary mastery to the writing skills of exposition text of class X MAN 1 Bukittinggi students; (3) explain the contribution of learning motivation and vocabulary mastery to the writing skills of exposition text of class X MAN 1 Bukittinggi students. The sample of the study of the total population in each class is 43 students. The data of this research are the score taken from the result of learning motivation questionnaire, the score of vocabulary test, and the score of test of exposition text writing skill. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the motivation of learning and mastery of vocabulary can be used as a predictor to improve the results of learning skills of writing exposition text. Therefore, to improve learning outcomes in writing skills, the students are given the motivation to learn writing and mastering vocabulary.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of discovery learning through audiovisual media toward writing skill on exposition text for eight grade of SMP Negeri 31 Padang students. This research used quantitative method which usedone group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. There was 271 population but there was only one class to be the sample. It was class VIII.1 whivh consisted of 34 students that choosen by using purposive sampling technique. The data of this research was the score of the result of students’ writing skill in exposition text before and after using discovery learning model through audiovisual media. There are three result of this research. First, the students’ writing skill in exposition text before using discovery learning through audivisual media was 68,14. Second, the students’ writing skill in exposition text after using discovery learning through audiovisual media was 82,84. Third, based on the t-test alternative hypotesis (H1) is accepted on the significant degree 95% and degree (dk) = n – 1 tcount > ttable (7,00>1,70).   Kata kunci: discovery learning, media audiovisual, keterampilan menulis, teks eksposisi.

Abstract

                                                     ABSTRACTThis article was written to describe the relationship of listening skill of observation report texts to the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Padang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The sample in this study amounted to 30 people. The data of this research is score of skill test result listening the observation report text. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Padang is in good qualification (65,56). Second, the skill of listeningto the text of the result of observation of the seventh grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Padang is in good qualification (79,44).Kata kunci: hubungan, menyimak, menulis, teks laporan hasil observasi

Abstract

The purpose of the research are (1) to describe exsplanatory text writing skills of VIII grade students SMP Negeri 25 Padang before applying discovery learning model whitin serial piscture media, (2) to describe exsplanatory text writing skills of VIII grade students SMP Negeri 25 Padang after applying discovery learning model whitin serial piscture media, and (3) to analize effect of discovery learning model whitin serial piscture media to exsplanatory text writing skills of VIII grade students SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research focus on the describing skill correlation of reading understanding and skill text writing report observation results of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational methods. The sample of this research is students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman amounted 42 students. The data of this research are  the score of the reading comprehension skill test results and  the score of the test results in the writing skills of the report text of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. Based on the research, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between reading skills understanding of the report writing skills in the text of the observation results of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman. Based on analysis data and discussion, there are several conclusion obtained. First, the skill of Report Writing Text Results of Observation of seventh grade Students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman is in good qualification (80.95). Second, the skill of reading Comprehension of seventh grade Students of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman is in good qualification (80.36). Kata kunci: Korelasi, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to describe the shape, strategy and context of directive speech acts of Bahasa Indonesia at eleventh grade students in SMA N 15 Padang. The type of this research is qualitative research by using descriptive methods. The source of the data on the research of directive speech acts of Bahasa Indonesia is eleventh grade students of SMAN 15 Padang. The findings of this research is directive speech acts of Bahasa Indonesia as a speech act that has great chance to used during the discussion process that there were 106 utterances. Demanding speech acts have become a kind of speech act that is most often used with a percentage of 75.5%. Discussions strategy which is dominant use is a strategy speak frankly without further positive politeness to the context of formal speech acts as the background activity of the students in the classroom discussion. Kata kunci: Direktif, Strategi, Konteks

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aims to look at the effects of describe the effect of the use of cooperative learning model Think Talk Write (TTW) aided image media against the argument essay writing skills class X SMA Negeri 5 Padang. This research data is the result of the test scores argument essay writing skills of students before and after using cooperative learning model TTW assisted image media. Instruments used in this research that tests the performance. The results showed that: First, the argument essay writing skills of students before using cooperative learning model TTW aided by media images that are in the qualification Fair (C) with an average value of 64.06. Second, the argument essay writing skills of students after using cooperative learning model TTW aided by media images that are in the qualification Good (B) with an average value of 81.08. Third, the use of cooperative learning model Think Talk Write TTW aided image media significantly influence the argument essay writing skills class X SMA Negeri 5 Padang. Kata kunci: pengaruh, model, pembelajaran, kooperratif, Think Talk Write,                        media, gambar, karangan argumentasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purposeof this research is(1) to describe the mastering of vocabularies about environment, (2) describe the skills writing the argument composition about environment, and (3) analyze the correlation mastering of vocabularies about environment with argument composition writing skill about environment class X SMA Negeri 1 Ulakan Tapakis. The data of this research is to mastering of vocabularies about environment test score results and scores of argument composition writing skills test results. The findings of this research is (1) the mastering of vocabularies about environment  on the qualified enough with an- average of 58.7 (2) the skills to argument composition writing about environment are more than enough qualified with an average of 73,33, and (3) based on the self-t, H1is accepted becauset count > t table is 4,49 > 1,70. Kata kunci: korelasi, penguasaan kosakata, argumentasi, lingkungan hidup, keterampilan

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research is aimed to describe the influence of cooperative model Make A Match type concerning pantun writing skills of student class VII SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman. The research method of this study is experiment method with quasi experiment. The result of this study is there was significant influence of cooperative model Make A Match type concerning pantun writing skills of student class VII SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman at significant level 95% with degrees of freedom  (n1+n2)-2, namely ttable <tarithmetic (1,67<1,89). Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted because the results of the hypothesis test prove that value of ttable was smaller than tarithmetic. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif, Make A Match, pantunÂ
