Abstract

The research aims to explain and describe (1) speech acts in the dialogue collection of  drama text Geng Toilet; (2) the principle of politeness in the dialogue collection of drama text Geng Toilet; (3) the relevance collection of drama text Geng Toilet as a teaching material for drama text in High School. The method use in this research is descriptive qualitative. The result of the research indicates the result of the research indicates the speech act in the collection of the drama text Geng Toilet based on speech that contains action include locution,illocution, and perlocution. While, speech acts based on the sentence mode include direct speech acts and indirect speech acts.Next, the principle of politeness in the dialogue collection of drama text Geng Toilet includes maxim of agreement or consent, maxim of generosity, maxim acceptance or praise or appreciation, maxim of humility or simplicity, and maxim of sympathy. the collection of drama text Geng Toilet can be  used  as a teaching materials for drama text in High School.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe: (1) the use of diction in the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (2) the existence of imagery in the lyrics of the song Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (3) the dominant style of language in the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (4) the value of character education in the lyrics of the song album Don’t’ Make Me Sad by Letto; and (5) the relevance with the teaching materials of literature for senior high school students. This research is descriptive qualitative research using content analysis method. The source of data in this research is the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto and the result of interview with informants. The technique of taking the sample used in this research was purposive sampling. The technique of collecting the data in this research was data analysis and interview with the informants. This research uses source triangulation and method triangulation to validate the data. The researcher uses interactive analysis method in this research.

Abstract

This research aims to explain: (1) characters character in the drama script Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar; (2) the inner conflicts experienced by the characters in the drama script Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar; and (3) the relevance of the drama Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar as a teaching material for drama appreciation at senior high school. This study uses a literature psychology study, which uses a psychological approach to knowing the character of the character through observation of behavioral characters. The results of this study are descriptions of: (1) the characterization of the characters in the Drama Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar which differ from each character. This is done to build a storyline that matches the theme of the drama script; (2) the inner conflicts experienced by the characters in the drama drama Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar are very complex. Every inner conflict experienced by a character can be described through psychoanalytic theory with a focus on the study of the id, ego, and superego; and (3) the relevance of the Drama of Senja Dengan Dua Kelelawar as a teaching material for drama appreciation in high schools by paying attention to aspects of language, students' psychological development, and cultural background.

Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative research with approach of sociology of literature. Data collection techniques used in this study are document analysis techniques and interviews. Data validity uses data triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis using interactive analysis method with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that (1) the author's most dominant social setting influences the creation of literary works, namely the educational background and the profession of the author. (2) The description of the community reflected in the ACIM includes: stunting in life, issues of tolerance, doubts about defending the homeland, the dissolution of national language, cultural issues, and the phenomenon of early marriage. (3) the response of ACIM readers states that this anthology is interesting in terms of the language, theme and background of the formation of two state anthologies. (4) the values of character contained in ACIM include; religious, responsibility, hard work, respect, polite, ecological, nationalist, and action oriented. (5) ACIM can be used as a literary teaching material in high schools in accordance with the basic competencies (KD) of short stories, this anthology can also be used as literary learning material in terms of aspects of language, psychology, and cultural background.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to describe the diction, figure of speech and the relevance of Antologi Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2015 ‘Anak Ini Mau Mengencingi Jakarta?’ And It’s Relevance to the Teaching Materials of Grade XI of Senior High School in the Curriculum of 2013. This research is a descriptive qualitative shaped with describe or illustrate the problems occurred and analyze the data in the form of words or sentences. Sampling techniques using is purposive sampling method. Engineering data collection using the technique of the analysis of the documents and interviews with informan. The validity used is sources and theory triangulation. Data analysis technique used is flow model of analysis. Procedure research conducted several different stages namely the preparation phase, the phase of implementation, and the stage of the preparation of the report. The results of these studies were found (1) utilization of diction with a total of 238 overall data; (2 the form of language stylistics with a total of 148 overall data; and (3) the relevance of Antologi Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2015 Anak Ini Mau Mengencingi Jakarta? And It’s Relevance to the Bahasa Indonesia’s Teaching Materials of Grade XI of Senior High School in the Curriculum of 2013.

Abstract

Cross-cultural and intercultural communication is a cross-ethnic communication that naturally arises in a social context with different religious, social, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds. In this case, it is learned how people with different cultural backgrounds interact with each other using their language. One form of communication can be seen from the use of speech acts and the form of interference from the communicant language. This paper aims to describe how the use of Malay Manado local language interference in academic discourse at Alkhairaat Palu University of Central Sulawesi. The method employed to prepare this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected throught observation, recording, and interview. Systematically analyzed by using the descriptive qualitative model of interactive. The results of this study concludes that the Malay Manado local language used in acting speech to ethnic Kaili and Makassar as linguistic features between students. In the speech acts are also colored the use of Manado language interference seen vowel changing / e / and / i /, vowel removal/ e /, and consonant removal / s /, / t /, and / k /. This language varies as a result of cross-cultural and intercultural communication within the academic community in accordance with its social context. Keywords: Cross-cultural, intercultural, speech acts, interference of local language, academic discourse.

Abstract

The teaching and learning Javanese language in high school during the covid-19 pandemic is challenging due to the limitations of face-to-face between teachers and students. The application of an innovative learning model called 'ireng manis' aims to overcome various obstacles in achieving Javanese language proficiency. The learning model of Ireng Manis (an acronym for mireng, nggunem, maca, lan nulis) is essentially a re-actualization of the audiolingual approach that is expected to incorporate all four areas of language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Ireng Manis's innovative model uses memorization, practice, and repeat strategies. This model is designed by combining students' grammar and communicative competence in applying 'manners', a type of Javanese commonly used to respect older or more knowledgeable people. The technique is carried out by utilizing the development of communication technology, namely the application of chat menus (chat) and voice (voice) on WhatsApp as a learning medium. Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe and analyze: (1) the types of speech act between students and teachers dialogue in the Indonesian language learning situation at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar, and (2) the influence factors of speech act between students and teachers dialogue in Indonesian language learning at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar. This research is belong to a qualitative desciptive research which was conducted from June 2017 to December 2018. The primary data’s source in this research is the informan such as students and Indonesian language’s teachers, and also the speech act between them at Indonesian language’s learning . This research uses purposive sampling technique. Data validity uses a source’s and theori’s triangulation, while the data analysis using an interactive model that includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the results of data analysis, the speech act which often used is illocusion with 37,5 % of percentage, locusion 73 %, and perlocusion 27,5 %. The speech act’s factors between teachers and students in Indonesian learning are the participants, the aim of speech act, the situation, context, which path, media, and the event of speech act.

Abstract

Pertunjukkan ketoprak merupakan suatu pertunjukkan dengan menampilkan cerita kehidupan masyarakat Jawa yang banyak mengandung pesan dan nilai karakter yang sangat berguna untuk kehidupan sehari-hari dengan dikemas dalam bentuk dialog dan adegan. Pendidikan karakter berguna untuk mengatur dan membina karakter masyarakat khususnya para remaja. Hal tersebut dikarenakan banyaknya karakter perilaku yang menyimpang dan memprihatinkan yang ditunjukkan oleh para remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai pendidikan karakter pada pertunjukkan ketoprak lakon Pedhut Jatisrana sebagai sarana dan media pendidikan karakter. Adapun sumber data pada penelitian ini dengan menyimak dan mengamati langsung video dokumentasi pertunjukkan ketoprak lakon Pedhut Jatisrana. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis dokumentasi video pertunjukkan ketoprak lakon Pedhut Jatisrana. Adapun analisis data menggunakan pengamatan adegan dan dialog pada pertunjukkan ketoprak Pedhut Jatisrana. Pada hasil penelitian ditemukan adanya nilai pendidikan karakter yang dikemas dalam sebuah dialog pada pertunjukkan ketoprak Pedhut Jatisrana karya Bondan Nusantara tersebut. Adapun nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditemukan yaitu karakter peduli sosial, jujur, cinta damai, kerja keras, cinta tanah air, religius, dan rasa ingin tahu yang terdapat pada dialog-dialog pertunjukkan ketoprak tersebut. Adapun nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter berguna dan relevan sebagai sarana dan media pendidikan karakter untuk masyarakat saat ini.

Abstract

ABSTRAKWe surely engage in the activity of listening both formally and informally every day; in fact, listening is a necessary component of all activities. Since listening genuinely results in both fresh and recollections from the past or new information that is received, Since engaging in listening activities can arouse one's intelligence, we can feel more deeply because our brains are driven to seek out a lot of information. Because someone has effectively adopted listening activities, curiosity has a significant impact on the brain. We feel compelled to gather a lot of data. Curiosity has a significant impact on the brain since listening actions have been successfully accepted by someone. However, not everyone believes that all listening activities are enjoyable, particularly when learning begins for junior high school students. Most people may think that hearing makes them feel tired or even overstimulated. The media is also diverse depending on how each student chooses to listen to their lesson. Some people use visual media, write, and read aloud to others. There is nothing wrong with listening exercises conducted by teachers past and present, of course, as long as they are done with the knowledge that listening must be processed in order to keep up with the times. However, as candidates or teachers, we may already be familiar with the new approach so that students can listen intently without missing anything. Keyword: problematika menyimak, mengajar, belajar ABSTRAKMenyimak merupakan suatu kegiatan yang tentunya kita lakukan sehari-hari secara formal maupun non-formal, kegiatan apapun dalam kehidupan kita pasti melibatkan kegitan menyimak tersebut. Karena sesungguhnya menyimak adalah kegiatan yang membuahkan sebuah ingatan baru maupun lama atapun pengengetahuan baru yang masuk, karena kegiatan menyimak tersebut bisa memancing intelegent seseorang supaya kita merasa trerpancing lebih dalam karena otak kita merasa perlu mendapatkan informasi dengan jumblah yang banyak. Rasa penasaran merupakan suatu efek yang besar bagi otak, karena kegiatan menyimak tersebut sudah berhasil diterima oleh seseorang. Namun tidak semua orang merasa semua kegiatan menyimak itu merupa hal yang menyenangkan, apalagi menyimak dalam pembelajaran dimulai bagi anak SMP sebagian besar mungkin saja menganggap menyimak merupakan hal yang membuat mengantuk bahkan juga jenuh. Apalagi didasari oleh jenis cara menyimak pelajaran setiap murid itu berbeda-beda medianya. Ada yang menggunakan media gambar, tulis, membaca sendiri, dan lainya. Tentu saaat mengetahui hal tersebut menyimak harus bisa diolah sedemikian ruma mengikuti perkembangan jaman, tidak ada yang salah dengan kegiatan menyimakn yang dilakukan guru-guru dulu maupunsekarang, tetapi kita sebagai calon/guru mungkin sudah paham dengan metode metode baru agar murid bisa menyimak dengan seksama tanpa ketinggalan.
