Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the model of Christian religious education teacher guidance in student character education. This research was motivated by problems that occur in schools regarding the character of students who are very concerned such as saying dirty words, fighting, truancy, carrying sharp weapons, smoking, drinking. - liquor and so on. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive method, which was conducted in Senior High School 1 Tamako, Sangihe Islands Regency. Researchers collected data through observation, interviews and documentation study to those who ware considered to be able to provide accurate information. From the results of data analysis, it was concluded that individual Christian religious education teacher guidance was only carried out for students with problems, guidance to all students was carried out through sermons during school worship. From these findings, it is hoped that this research can provide new understanding and knowledge for Christian Religious Education teachers regarding guidance for character education of students so that problems regarding the character of students in schools can be resolved.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of the Church in waste management in Tingkulu Village, Manado City. This research is a research that uses qualitative methods and the research is conducted in Tingkulu Village, Manado City in 2020. Data collected through observation, interviews and documentation study. From the results of the analysis and interpretation of the data, it is indicated that 1). The environment in Kelurahan Tingkulu is still dirty. 2). Congregation members' awareness of environmental cleanliness is still lacking. 3). So far, the role of the Church has only been in the form of appeals and directions to congregation members to always keep the environment clean and always throw garbage in the space provided. 4). There is no special program run by the Church regarding the handling of the waste problem. From these findings, it is recommended for the Church to pay more attention to the condition of the environment which is increasingly damaged and the damage is caused by irresponsible human activity. It is time for the Church together with all its members to carry out activities that are beneficial for themselves and for the environment, so that one day it can be passed on to our children and grandchildren later.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and formulate theologically regarding the formation of adolescent identity in the congregation. This research uses qualitative research with literatur approach. The analysis and interpretation of the data show that: (1) the behavioral profile of adolescents in the formation of their identity is faced with various events, both social and personal interactions. Daily interactions and social media encourage teens to feel attracted to their friends and the opposite sex. The identity of the adolescent profile is also formed from the biological, psychological, and sociological aspects as well as the spiritual formation of adolescents. (2) The factors that influence promiscuity and free sex in their interactions are the lack of education about sex, sexuality, and communication between adolescents and their parents is not very open. Parents still consider it taboo when talking about sex and lack knowledge about the importance of sex education for children or adolescents. (3) The researcher emphasizes the role of the church to conduct an theological pastoral ethics ministry program regarding sex, sexuality, sexuality for adolescents and parents. Coaching for youth is carried out through Bible studies with the theme of sexuality. These educational service activities can equip youth in their lives.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the Church Stewardship Strategy for Congregational Growth. Also to classify supporting factors, analyze inhibiting factors, and how to overcome obstacles to church stewardship strategies for the growth of their congregations, as well as describe developments and innovations carried out in Church Stewardship Strategies for Congregational Growth. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that human resources, accountable financial management, accompanied by accurate data administration as well as the cohesiveness of the service team greatly affect the growth of the congregation and this is a stewardship strategy. It is hoped that this research will provide benefits and a wider understanding for church organization leaders, pastors / pastors, deacons / church workers to serve in order to reach souls for the kingdom of God.

Abstract

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan mengenai implementasi metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran PAK di SMP Kristen Koha. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi. wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil interpretasi data dan analisis diperoleh bahwa: (1) Implementasi metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran PAK di SMP Kristen Koha adalah belum efektif/belum maksimal karna masih ditemui hambatan/kendala yang ditemui. (2) Hambatan implementasi metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran PAK di SMP Kristen Koha adalah hambatan siswa yaitu ketidaksiapan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran karna siswa tidak mempelajari materi yang diberikan, siswa masa bodoh tidak ingin terlibat dalam diskusi, ada siswa yang tidak mampu mengeluarkan pendapat secara lisan, siswa tidak percaya diri, cenderung diskusi dikuasai oleh siswa-siswi yang banyak bicara, siswa yang tidak membawa alkitab dan buku pelajaran. Hambatan guru PAK yaitu lebih banyak memberikan tugas kepada siswa, guru PAK tidak memberikan perhatian penuh kepada siswa disaat berdiskusi, guru PAK lebih banyak berbicara dan menjelaskan materi diskusi sehingga siswa tidak berperan aktif dalam diskusi. (3) Upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru PAK untuk mengatasi hambatan implementasi metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran PAK di SMP Kristen Koha yaitu guru PAK memberikan motivasi atau semangat kepada siswa untuk percaya diri mengeluarkan pendapat, bagi siswa yang tidak ada buku pelajaran guru PAK mengarahkan kepada siswa untuk fotocopy,dan guru PAK mengarahkan siswa wajib membawa alkitab pada saat pembelajaran PAK. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut maka direkomendasikan untuk: (1) Guru PAK lebih mengaktifkan kegiatan metode diskusi pada pembelajaran PAK sehingga kegiatan pembelajaran akan lebih efektif. (2) Siswa agar lebih aktif dalam kegiatan diskusi dan menguasai materi-materi ajar yang diberikan oleh guru PAK serta berupaya membawa alkitab dan menyiapkan buku pelajaran.

Abstract

The Covid - 19 pandemic that has hit the world, including Indonesia, has brought changes in various spheres of life. Adapting to situations like this is the best choice. The world of education is one of the areas that has undergone significant changes. In general, the wider community thinks that school is a place to learn, in school every student is honed his cognitive abilities, even though other assessments are included such as affective and spiritual assessments. It is in school that cognitive development is experienced by a student, even teacher-student relations are important for a student's self-development towards Indonesia's goal of "educating the nation's life" but all of these things have changed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The teaching and learning process is no longer centered in schools but in their homes. Parents also have to adapt when their roles as teachers and parents are no longer an option but a priority. Obstacles in the learning process began to be felt starting from the difficulty of accessing the internet, quota fees that must be met and the difficulty of parents being teachers at home . This journal writing uses a descriptive qualitative method. Parents really understand their duties and responsibilities. Parents realize that children are in the digital generation. Parents understand Biblical principles regarding duties and responsibilities in accompanying children.
