Abstract

As a reflection of teachers’ awareness of the students’ learning styles, teachers are required to have a good understanding of how the learning materials will be delivered to them through the teaching method and media, which are appropriate for their preferences. However, the uniqueness of learners’ learning styles has not become an important consideration for most of teachers. This study was aimed at finding out, to what extent vocational high school teachers were aware of the students’ learning styles. The data were collected through a survey and analyzed with the descriptive quantitative analysis. The results revealed that most of the respondents with the percentage of 65.7% (n=67) do not know the term of learning styles. Most of the respondents with the percentage of 77.6% do not assess the students’ learning styles. Although most of the respondents do not assess the students’ learning styles, the aspects of assessing the learning styles, using the instructional media appropriate with the students’ learning styles, and care about the students’ preferences in learning were categorized as good with the percentage of 43.3%, 71.6%, and 56.7% respectively. The overall of the vocational high school teachers’ awareness level of the students’ learning styles is categorized as good with the percentage of 76.1%.

Abstract

The Synchronous online argumentation system is highly needed to facilitate learning activity in this internet era. To gain deeper insights about this important issue, this study developed nine principles based on Cognitive Load, User Interface, and User Experience to redesign a system. With this framework, 48 (forty-eight) students of Chi-Ying High School had tested with two prototypes, and the second prototype used the nine principles. The systems were measured with Web-Based Learning Environment (WEBLEI) and System Usability Test (SUS). The result of WEBLEI measurement shows that the second prototype gives better result and shows higher user acceptance than the first prototype. The result of SUS measurement shows that the usability of the second prototype is better than on the first prototype with (4.43) SUS score difference. The result shows that the use of nine principles that applied to the second prototype does increase the usability and acceptance of the students.

Abstract

This research aims to solve some common problems faced by learners, namely difficulties in understanding materials with abstract ideas and the lack of problem-solving skills. Mobile-based interactive learning multimedia as an innovation in educational setting is a self-learning media that the learners can use both in school and at home to help them understand the materials easily, minimize learning difficulties, and increase their problem-solving skills. This is a Research and Development (R&D) with the APPED model. The subjects of this research were the 10th grade students of the Vocational Program of Computer and Network Technology at SMK Negeri 1 Tulung Klaten (State Vocational School 1 of Tulung, Klaten). The data analysis technique was done through the descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the mobile-based interactive multimedia learning was feasible with the Very Good category. The mobile-learning-based interactive multimedia learning was effectively used with a percentage of 77.85% and the difference in significance, based on the Wilcoxon Test on the pretest posttest of 0.000 it indicates that there is a difference in the increase in problem-solving skills while learning using the mobile-based interactive multimedia learning.

Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah kepemilikan perangkatkomputer oleh berbagai pihak, maka kebutuhan akan tersedianya programpengajaran berbantuan komputer (CAI) pun semakin meningkat danperlu mendapat perhatian serius. Agar diperoleh efektifitas yang tinggi,maka pengemban program CAI perlu direncanakan dengan baik yaknidengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek: umpan balik , percabangan, penilaian,monitoring kemajuan, petunjuk, dan tampilan.Para pendidik yang kurang memahami bahasa pemograman dapatmengembangkan program CAI secara profesional dengan menggunakansistem authoring. Keuntungan sistem authoring dibanding dengan perangkatlunak lainnya adalah kemudahan dan kesederhanaannya. Sedangakankerugiannnya adalah dalan ha1 kecepatan eksekusi dan kebutuhanmemori. Namun demikian, dengan perkembangan perangkat keras saatini, kerugian ini menjadi tidak terasa.

Abstract

Aspek yang diungkap antara lain: deskripsi teknik, strategi, aktivitas pembimbingan, hambatan dosen, dan tingkat efektivitas pembimbingan. Obyek yang diteliti adalah sistem pembimbingan KTI online yang telah dikembangkan oleh Dirprodik Dit PMPTK. Sampel sebanyak 12 dosen dan 500 guru diambil secara purposif. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas 3 macam, yaitu daftar cek (check list) untuk evaluasi sistem, angket untuk dosen pembimbing dan angket untuk guru peserta. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Website KTI Online telah dikembangkan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak LMS open source Moodle, (2) Strategi pembimbingan yang diterapkan adalah model terbuka melalui forum diskusi, (3) Aktivitas pembimbingan sangat rendah, yakni hanya 143 guru (24.2 %) yang telah berhasil login, (4) Hambatan utama antara lain akses internet sangat lambat dan ketidakaktifan guru dalam pembimbingan, (5) Tingkat efektivitas program pembimbingan ini sangat rendah

Abstract

The purpose of this' research was to design and to implement an e­commerce (electronic commerce) system using components and object­oriented frameworks technology. The research begins with analyzing and identifying specifications, which are categorized functionally  into modules and  objects.  The  objects are  grouped  into  three  logical categories: presentation aspects, business rules and data, and objects that accept and interpret user requests and control the business objects. The result is an e-commerce system running on local server of J2EE with URL http://localhost:8000/rbi/.Byaccessingthesystem,itis assumed that the performance would be in line with the expected research goals. The important web pages of the system among others are  main page,  product  category, product  item  list,  detail  item description, shopping cart, log-in and log-out page, order notes, and other supporting pages. This e-commerce system was designed to be adapted to other products easily.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan produk e-learning bahasa Inggris berbasis Moodle  yang layak dalam peningkatan listening skill pada pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta (2) mengetahui seberapa efektif e-learning berbasis Moodle terhadap listening skill pembelajaran bahasa Inggris siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah R D atau research and development menggunakan model Alessi Trollip melalui tiga langkah berikut: planning, design, dan development. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. Tenik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, angket, dan tes. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Produk e-learning dikembangkan dengan sebuah Learning Management System (LMS) online yang dibuat dengan software aplikasi Moodle versi 3.1.  (2) Produk e-learning berbasis Moodle telah memenuhi kriteria dan dinyatakan layak sebagai media pembelajaran berdasarkan validasi ahli media dengan skor 3,70 dengan kriteria “Baik”, berdasarkan validasi ahli materi dengan rerata skor 4,34 dengan kriteria “Sangat baik”, dan berdasarkan respon pengguna dengan skor 4,30 dengan kriteria “Sangat baik”. (3) Hasil belajar siswa kelas X UPW 2 SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan e-learning. Keefektifan produk terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Inggris pada kompetensi listening dibuktikan melalui peningkatan hasil belajar yang diketahui dari persentase hasil evaluasi pretest dan posttest yakni sebesar 17,19%.Kata kunci: e-learning, listening, bahasa Inggris DEVELOPING  AN E-LEARNING PRODUCT BASED ON MOODLE FOR INCREASING  SONG COMPREHENSION IN TEACHING ENGLISHAbstractThis study aims to: (1) produce e-learning based on Moodle English viable in increasing listening skills in Teaching English for SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta (2) determine how effective E-learning based Moodle on listening skills in Teaching English for students class X SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. The result are as follows. (1) The E-learning product was developed with a learning management system (LMS) online software applications created with Moodle version 3.1. (2) The e-learning based on Moodle is appropriate as a medium of learning based on the judgement from media experts with the feasibility mean score of 3.70 (good category), judgement from material experts with the feasibility mean score of 4.34 (very good category) and  judgement from user  with the feasibility mean score of 4.30 (very good category). (3) The learning achievement of class X UPW 2 students of SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta increases after the use of the e-learning product. The effectiveness of the product to learning English in listening competence demonstrated through learning outcome is known of the percentage of pretest and posttest evaluation results which amounted to 17.19%.Keywords: e-learning, listening, English

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan produk e-learning adaptif berbasis web untuk siswa kelas X SMA pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, (2) mengetahui kelayakan produk e-learning adaptif, dan (3) mengetahui kebermanfaatan produk melalui peningkatan hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penilitian dan pengembangan (RD) diadaptasi dari model Alessi dan Trollip. Prosedur pengembangan meliputi tahap perencanaan, desain, dan pengembangan. Pada uji alpha dilakukan penilaian oleh 2 ahli materi dan 2 ahli media untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk. Tahap berikutnya dilakukan uji beta 1 terhadap 5 siswa kelas X-I dan uji beta 2 sebanyak 25 siswa kelas X-G. Selanjutnya tes sumatif terhadap 25 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bawah (1) Produk e-learning adaptif berbasis web dengan fasilitas meliputi: tes gaya belajar, paket bahan ajar (mode umum dan khusus visual auditori dan kinestetik), forum perkenalan, diskusi, dan chatting; (2) produk  telah layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi 2 ahli media; (3) terjadi peningkatan pencapaian hasil belajar kognitif siswa setelah menggunakan e-learning adaptif.Kata kunci: pengembangan, e-learning adaptif, mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. DEVELOPING AN ADAPTIVE E-LEARNING MEDIA IN THE ISLAM EDUCATION SUBJECT MATTER OF GRADE X FOR SMAAbstractThis research study aims to: (1) Develop a web-based adaptive e-learning media for the Islam Education subject matter of grade X of SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta, (2) identify the appropriateness of the developed adaptive e-learning product, and (3) identify the usefulness of the developed media through the improvement of students’ learning outcome. This study was a research and development (RD) study adapting Alessi and Trollip’s model. The procedures of the study were planning, design, and development. In the alpha test, two materials experts and two media experts examined the product to determine its appropriateness. The next stage tested the beta 1 to 5 class X-I and beta 2 test as many as 25 students of class X - G . Further more summative test to 25 students. The results of the study are as follows: (1) the web-based adaptive e-learning media consisted of tes learning style, a package of learning material (the general and specific modes of visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic), an introduction forum, discussion, and chatting, (2) The developed media is appropriate to use based on the results of the validation by the media experts, (3) There is an improvement of the cognitive learning achievement of the students after the use of the adaptive e-learning media.Keywords: development, adaptive e-learning, islam education subject matter

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan produk Adaptive Mobile Learning yang layak menurut ahli materi, ahli media dan pengguna, (2) mengetahui kebermanfaatan produk melalui ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik, dan kemampuan program untuk mendukung blended learning. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengikuti langkah-langkah yang dikembangkan oleh Alessi dan Trollip yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yakni perencanaan, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Produk awal divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi kemudian dilakukan revisi. Tahap berikutnya dilakukan tes beta 1 terhadap beberapa calon pengguna, dan diujicobakan kepada 29 pengguna. Selanjutnya tes sumatif terhadap 29 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) produk Adaptive Mobile Learning dinyatakan layak sebagai media pembelajaran berdasarkan validasi ahli materi, ahli media, dan pengguna dengan rerata kelayakan mencapai skor 3,35 dengan kategori “sangat baik”; (2) kebermanfaatan produk dibuktikan melalui perbedaan hasil belajar mencapai angka kenaikan sebesar 33,80 sesudah menggunakan produk Adaptive Mobile Learning dan terbukti mendukung blended learning dengan skor 3,42 dengan kategori “sangat baik”.Kata kunci: adaptive learning, mobile learning, blended learning. THE DEVELOPING OF ADAPTIVE MOBILE LEARNING IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL BIOLOGY SUBJECT AS EFFORTS TO SUPPORT THE PROCESS OF BLENDED LEARNINGAbstractThis research study aims: (1) producing Adaptive Mobile Learning which fulfil the criteria and appropriateness according to the experts, media experts, and users; and (2) the usefulness of the product seen from the completeness of the student learning outcomes and ability the product to support blended learning process. This research and development study refers to the stages developed by Alessi and Trollip which classified into three stages namely planning, designing, and developing. Early product was validated by the media and experts (alpha test), followed by revision. The next stage namely beta 1 test was done by some users and then tested by the 29 students as the users of the product. After that, a summative test was administered to them. The result of the study shows that: (1) the product namely Adaptive Mobile Learning fulfils the criteria and has been claimed as appropriate to be used as learning media according to the validation from the materials experts, media experts, and students who use the product with the average appropriateness score of 3.35 which belongs to the category of “very good”; and (2) the usefulness of the product is confirmed by the difference of the results of the last and early tests, that of after and before the use of the product of Adaptive Mobile Learning with raise the score of 33,80 after use the product, and that it supports the process of blended learning with the average appropriateness score of 3,42 which belongs to the category “very good”.Keywords: adaptive learning, mobile learning, blended learning
