Abstract

Alih fungsi lahan pada berbagai tipe penggunaan lahan yang kurang bijaksana menyebabkan perubahan karakteristik sifat tanah pada DAS Meureubo Provinsi Aceh.   Penelitian ini menggunakan metode parametrik USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) dengan pendekatan survei deskriptif melalui observasi lapangan serta pemanfaatan data-data spasial dan studi literasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perubahan tata guna lahan memunculkan nilai kehilangan tanah TBE (Tingkat Bahaya Erosi) aktual kelas V kategori sangat berat meliputi; SPL (Satuan Peta Lahan) 5, 12, dan 16.  Nilai TBE aktual kelas IV dengan katagori berat terjadi pada SPL 2, 6, 7, 10, dan 13. Nilai TBE aktual Kelas III dengan katagori sedang terjadi pada SPL 3, 4, 8, 9, 14, 17, dan 20, sedangkan SPL 1, 18, 19, 21 dan 11, 15 katagori tidak berbahaya yaitu sangat ringan sampai ringan. Nilai TBE aktual ini dipengaruhi oleh nilai konservasi dan pengelolaan tanaman (CP) yang tinggi.  Nilai TBE potensial kategori berat sampai sangat berat, sedangkan nilai ancaman erosi IBE (Indek Bahaya Erosi) pada masing-masing SPL masuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi.  Tingginya nilai TBE aktual pada SPL 5 dan 12 disebabkan oleh penggunaan lahan pertanian lahan kering dengan nilai erosi 36 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan macam tutupan lahan berupa belukar pada DAS Meureubo Provinsi Aceh pada kelerangan lahan 25 - 45 % dan >45%.  Agar nilai TBE aktual, TBE potensial dan Nilai IBE yaitu dapat ditekan dengan melakukan perbaikan terhadap lahan-lahan yang terlanjur rusak akibat alih fungsi lahan dan illegal logging. Diperlukan tindakan konservasi terhadap lahan, seperti menjaga tanaman penutup tanah dengan deforestasi berbasis manajemen pengelolaan lahan secara lestari, di samping itu pendekatan secara mekanik seperti teras bangku pada lahan yang agak curam sampai curam, serta perlu adanya regulasi berupa peraturan dari pemerintah secara fokus dan konsisten berbasis pemantauan, serta adanya usaha mengembalikan fungsi hutan dengan menghutankan kembali daerah yang berstatus hutan secara undang-undang di DAS Meureubo Provinsi Aceh

Abstract

The aims of the research were finding the differencesin the production of tuber potatoes and detecting Potato Virus Y on various tuber generation from Banjarnegara Regency using Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) test. This research was conducted in two stages. The first stage wasa survey and an interview on potato breeders in Banjarnegara district of Central Java province. The second stageis ELISA test in the Laboratory of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Agricultural Faculty, the University of Jenderal Soedirman, North Purwokerto, Purwokerto, Central Java. ELISAkit was obtained from Agdia. Inc Elkhar tIndiana, United States. Tubers of potatoes,Granola variety and Atlantic variety were obtained from potato breeders in Banjarnegara Regency. Survey and interview were conducted at seven seed breeders by asking questions about the process for producing potato tubers. ELISA test was performed on 1 g tuber/sample. Antigen wasextracted from the sample using 10 ml General Extract Buffer/sample. Then 100 ml solution of antigen was transfered into ELISA wells and incubated for 2 hours. After incubation the antigen solution was removed from the wells. Then the wells were washed using Phosphate Buffer Saline Tween (PBST) seven times. 100 ml enzyme conjugate was added/well and incubated for 2 hours. Enzyme conjugate solution was removed and washed using PBST eight times. Substratep-Nitrophenyl was added as much as 100 ml/well and incubated for 60 minutes. The result was read using a micro plate reader at 405 nm wave length.The results showed that, the way potato cultivation in order to produced seed varieties Granola and Atlantic using a screen house and aeroponics method were of effective way for produced free Potato Virus Y tubers. Results of tests using ELISA against Granola varieties and  Atlantic of seed potatoes from  six breeders in Banjarnegara Regency showed that, seed potato varieties Granola G4 from breeder Trubus contained of Potato Virus Y.Keyword: Tuber potatoes, Potato Virus Y, ELISA

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of organic fertilizer dose and number of seed per hole towards growth of rice and real or no interaction of both factors. This research used split plot experimental design 4 x 3 with 3 replication. The first factor of this research is dose of organic fertilizer as main plot consist of 0, 5, 10 and 15 ton/ha. And the second factor is number of seed per hole as subplot, consist of 1, 2 and 3 per hole. This research was conducted at Lhok Rameuan village, Suka Makmue districts, Nagan Raya regency of Aceh Province on Juny until December 2016. The result showed that dose of organik fertilizer influenced significantly on high of plant and number of tillers in 3 weeks after plant. Significant effect on high of plant in 2 and 4 weeks after plant and number of tiller on 4 weeks after plant, but not significant on number of seed on age 2 weeks after plant. Number of plant per hole influenced significantly effect on high of plant an number of tillers on age 2 and 3 weeks after plant, but not significant on high an number of tiller on 4 weeks after plant. Statistical analysis showed no interaction occured between both factors treated on all observation variabels./

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of dosage of manure and the number of seeds per planting hole on the growth and yield of organic rice crops and the real or not the interaction of these two factors. The experimental design to be used in this research is Split Plot 4 x 3, with 3 replications. Factor dose of manure (D) as main plot consist of 4 level, that is: 0 ton ha-1 (control), 5 ton ha-1, 10 ton ha-1 and 15 ton ha-1. Factor Number of Seedlings per Planting Hole (B) as subplot consists of 3 levels, namely: 1 Seeds per planting hole, 2 Seeds per planting hole and 3 Seeds per hole The study was conducted in Suka Makmue district, Nagan Raya District, Aceh Province. Starting from March to July 2016. The result of dose of manure has a very significant effect on the number of panicles, the effect is not significant on the length of panicle, the percentage of unhulled grain, the percentage of unhulled grain, the weight of 1000 grains, the weight of Grain Contains Per Rumpun and production per hectare. The number of seedlings on cultivation has a significant effect on the number of panicles, panicle length, percentage of unhulled grain, percentage of unhulled grain, weight of 1000 grains, the grain weight and production per hectare. Keywords : Organic Fertilizer, number of seeds per planting hole, rice production

Abstract

Peremajaan sawit rakyat (PSR) merupakan salah satu kegiatan strategi nasional yang masuk ke dalam kegiatan sarana dan prasarana. Program ini merupakan program pemerintah dalam membantu masyarakat yang berkecimpung di dalam perkebunan sawit agar perkebunan kelapa sawit rakyat lebih berkualitas serta mengurangi resiko pembukaan lahan illegal. Namun, di dalam pelaksanaannya, masih banyak ditemukan proses verifikasi dana untuk peremajaan sawit tidak dapat dipertanggungjawabkan, selain itu terdapatnya tumpang tindih atas hak lahan para pengusul ataupun penerima manfaat pada kegiatan ini. Agar terhindar dari terjadinya tumpang tindih atas hak lahan maka perlu dilakukan pemetaan atas lokasi yang diusulkan. Pemanfaatan sistem informasi geografis memudahkan dalam pelakukan kegiatan pemetaan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan kunjungan lapangan untuk melakukan perekaman titik koordinat pada lokasi yang menjadi usulan calon lahan kegiatan peremajaan sawit rakyat. Hasil penelitian berupa peta lokasi calon lahan, sehingga diharapkan kegiatan peremajaan sawit rakyat (PSR) di Kabupaten Nagan Raya dapat berlangsung dengan optimal.

Abstract

This assistance is expected to provide additional information about peat soil management to the people of Keub Village, Arongan Lambalek District, West Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. Farmers can independently manage any problems that arise on peat soils, so they are able to take the right steps in current and future management efforts so that the land can produce optimally. Its management includes physical (mechanical), chemical, and biological aspects. Utilization of peat based on improving the community's economy and preserving the ecology of peat requires careful and measured preparation, including; the construction of integrated canal blocks by carrying out control and evaluation through strengthening institutional capacity including communities around peat (practitioners) and academics in a holistic manner in a definitive manner, with the hope that the use of peatlands will not have a negative impact on the current and future environment.

Abstract

The study aimed to look at the effect of solid decanter and EM4 applications on the growth and production of melon plants (Cucumis melo L.) on Alluvial. Solid decanter is a raw organic matter and requires decomposition with EM4 so that nutrients can be utilized properly by melon plants. This research was carried out December-April 2022 at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar University, West Aceh Regency, Aceh Province.  This study used a Randomized Group Design (RAK) factorial pattern of 4 x 4 with 3 repeats. The first factor is Solid Decanter (S) which consists of S0 (control), S1 (90 gr), S2(180 gr), S3(270 gr) and the second factor is EM4 (E) which consists of E0 (control), E1 (10ml), E2 (20ml), E3 (30ml). The results showed an interaction between solid decanter and EM4 against the diameter of the stem of melon plants at 14 HST.  This best treatment was found in the combination of S2E1 treatment, where the solid decanter dose of S2(180 gr) and EM4 E1 (10 ml) differed markedly from other treatment combinations.

Abstract

 Correlation test and path analysis aims to obtain agronomic characters and yields that can be used as selection criteria for sorghum lines. The research design used was an augmented design with treatment of 60 F6 sorghum lines without repetition. Correlation test results in this research showed that the characters of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, panicle length, panicle diameter and panicle weight had a positive and significant correlation to sorghum yields. The path analysis results showed that panicle weight has a high value of direct effect on yield, while plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, panicle length, panicle diameter has an indirect effect on yield. Agronomic characters and yields that can be recommended as selection criteria are plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, panicle length, panicle diameter and panicle weight.

Abstract

The cultivated method for some commodity of plant is one of the keys for optimum production. Shallot is one of main commodity of horticulture that has not been widely cultivated in Aceh Province especially in Gampong Ladang village West Aceh. The introduction of TSS (True Shallot Seed) is one of main idea to promote botany seed of shallot as planting material on shallot cultivation with more benefit compared of shallot bulb. The activities of public service were held in Gampong Ladang West Aceh. The methode of this activity include of: socialization, technical guidance of shallot cultivation, technic of land preparation, technic of seed germination, plantation in field, and evaluated with questioner method. The results obtained by the community are able to cultivated of shallot using TSS. The introduction and implementation of TSS on shallot cultivated is expected as information and made farmers interested to planted shallot in large area and make Gampong Ladang as centra of shallot production especially in West Aceh.

Abstract

The problem of unbalanced use of inorganic fertilizers and in the long term it can cause damage to the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil as well as changes in the balance of soil nutrients, so that it produces unproductive marginal land for sustainable crop cultivation. Biosaka can be an effective and efficient innovation to reduce dependence on the use of inorganic fertilizers and minimize farming production costs. This community service was carried out in Seumantok Village, West Aceh. Methods for implementing community service include socialization, technical guidance in making biosaka and evaluation with questionnaires. The results obtained by the community are able to understand the meaning of biosaka and its benefits, how to make biosaka, and how to apply biosaka to cultivated plants. This biosaka eliminator is expected to be able to have a good effect on agricultural land, able to reduce the use of inorganic materials and maximize crop production potential in Seumantok Village, West Aceh.
