Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at examining 1) the influence of headmaster’s supervision on effective teachers, 2) the influence of achievement motivation  on effective teachers, and 3) the influence of headmaster’s supervision and achievement motivation on effective teachers. This research used quantitative. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression formula SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) version 16.0 for windows. This study showed 1) there was significant influence of headmaster’s supervision on effective teachers with tobtained 2,452 and ttable was 1,980; 2) there was significant influence of achievement motivation on effective teachers with tobtained 5,627 and ttable was 1,980, and 3) there was significant influence of headmaster’s supervision and achievement motivation on effective teachers with fobtained 23.618 and ftable was 3,267. This research contributed to the Headmaster should upgrade the supervision of teachers and achievement motivation where they would actualized the effective teachers. Index Terms: Headmaster’s Supervision, Achievement Motivation, Effective Teachers.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMasalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah Unsur-Unsur Kebudayaan dalam novel Hanya Sebutir Debu karya Sandi Firly. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan Unsur-Unsur Kebudayaan dalam novel Hanya Sebutir Debu karya Sandi Firly. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan sosiologis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah teknik content analisis (analisis isi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasa terhadap novel Hanya Sebutir Debu karya Sandi Firly, terdapat tujuh unsur-unsur kebudayaan berupa kepercayaan, nilai, norma dan sanksi, teknologi, simbol, bahasa, kesenian. Kepercayaan dalam penelitian ini adalah keyakinan masyarakat terhadap suatu hal yang bersifat mistis (gaib). Nilai dalam penelitian ini adalah cara pandang masyarakat terhadapsuatu hal. Norma dan sanksi dalam penelitian ini adalah seperangkat aturan dan ganjaran yang harus dipatuhi dan ditaati. Teknologi dalam penelitian ini adalah cara kerja masyarakat. Simbol dalam penelitian ini adalah sebuah benda, manusia, dan berbagai macam hal yang telah mendapatkan arti khusus. Bahasa dalam penelitian ini adalah sebutan masyarakat untuk suatu objek, Kesenian dalam penelitian ini adalah suatu karya seseorang berupa syairl lagu Umu Abah yang terkenal di daerah Banjar. Abstract

Abstract In Indonesia, the education of literature is sometimes ignored andneglected. Since new era of paradigm, literature is treated as non significantsubject of learning, it is considered to be unimportant, useless, and all sorts of noother forms. Education in Indonesia only focuses on meaningful learning ofscience and mathematics. Although it is not expressed verbally, literature isviewed lower than science and mathematics. The willingness to keep forwardscience is failed, because of ignoring literary education. In line with the growingmagnitude of the need for character education now, literary education andlearning needs were designed. Literature is treated as a basic character education.In such context, there should be serious efforts of all components of the nation tobuild a "collective consciousness" in order to restore lost national character. Insuch context, it becomes interesting when as an educator of language andliterature to give or to inject values into a insightful character education lessonswhich were labeled as literature and sought to encourage and to internalize thecharacter education through literature. Abstract

AbstractThe issues raised in this research is how the moral value in oral literature Andai-Andai”Besan Puyuh” in sub-district of Kikim Lahat regency. The method used in this research descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research were from oral literature transcriptions Andai-Andai”Besan Puyuh” in sub-District of Kikim Lahat regency. Sources of data obtained from two persons were Mr. Bahari Gena (81 years old) and Mrs. Yahima (78 years old). The data collection techniques used were recording, observation and interviews. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The Results of the research showed that the oral literature of Andai-Andai”Besan Puyuh” is a part of fables category, which have moral value massage of individual include; the nature of sacrifice, trust in keeping promises and understand the return the favor. Apart from that, the message of social moral values describe through the nature of caring, the attitude of cooperation, helpfulness, compassion, harmony, mutual giving, and caring about others.          Index Terms: Moral Values, Oral Literature, Andai-Andai”Besan Puyuh

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai survey awal untuk melihat seberapa berperannya storytelling dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis, minat membaca dan kecerdasan emosional siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes menulis, kuisioner, observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data berpedoman pada teknik analisis data kualitatif Miles dan Hubermen yang terdiri dari tiga alur yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data/ kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa storytelling sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis, minat membaca dan kecerdasan emosional siswa. Kata Kunci : Storytelling, Kemampuan Menulis, Minat Membaca dan Kecerdasan Emosional

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine and describe the influence model of experiential learning to creative poetry writing ability based on personal experience of the class student student of Pembina Palembang. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Samples are 39 students of VII.1 class as an experimental class  and VII. 4 class which consist of 34 students as the control class. Technique for collecting used in this study was the written test. The results of  study was there is significant influence of experiential learning method toward students ability in writing creative poetry based on personal experience of seventh grade students of SMP Pembina Palembang", The result of t-tests showed that the value of t-obtained was higher than t-table (2.95 higher than 1.66) Keywords: Learning, model of experiential learning, writing poetry, personal experience

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to find the increasing of the process and the result student’s short story writing through metacognitive strategy in language and Indonesia Literature Study Programme FKIP-PGRI University of Palembang. This research uses action research method which is done through planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted through three cycles, from the result of learning process is found that students have been able to make a planning, monitoring, evaluation and revising according to metacognitive strategy cycle, during their time in writing short story task. This research find out that there had been an increased from the short story writing result in every of its cycle. On the first cycle, there are 8 (eight) students who accomplished the task, with average score is in 64,16. On the second cycle, it showed a significant increased, there were 29 (twenty nine) students who accomplished and 9 (nine) students have not accomplished the task, with average score is ini 72, 18. And the third cycle, there were 38 (thirty eight) students who accomplished the task in the short story writing learning process with average score was in 77,05. Keywords: Writing Ability; Short Story; Metocignitive Strategy.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam novel Pak Guru Karya Awang Surya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan psikologis dan sosiologis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis konten. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dalam novel Pak Guru Karya Awang Surya terdapat 210ocial agama dan 210ocial moral yang mencangkup hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan dan hubungan manusia dengan 210ocial manusia serta 210ocial 210ocial yang mencangkup masalah kriminilitas, masalah lingkup hidup dan masalah kemiskinan yang berimplikasi terhadap nilai-nilai pendidikan. Kata Kunci : Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan , Psikologis, dan Sosiologis.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper aims to provide a description representations the aspects of language and culture in education by examining several theories and expert opinions. The method used in this paper is a qualitative descriptive method, which means to understand a phenomenon in the social context naturally with the advanced process of interaction between researchers indepth communication with the phenomenon to be studied through the surgical literature. From the discussion, it can be synthesized that language is a vehicle and a cultural product. Language reflects the culture of the doers or users. Because it is a language in addition to functioning as a means of communication, language is also an implementation of culture in education Cultural formed values and norms indirectly in form of language that be realized in the educational process. When it is related with education in Indonesia, the language has a central role in the development of intellectual, social, and emotional learners and it works as supporting of success instudying a field of science. Key Words: Language, Culture, and Education

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed at identifying the strategic management of the principal in attracting prospective learners in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang, how the implementation in attracting prospective students in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School ArRidho Palembang, Evaluation and follow-up of principal strategy in attracting candidate students in Islamic Intergrity Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang, This research was qualitative. The subjects of this research were principal, committee of Students’ Admission and some parents. The instruments were interviews and observations. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman model. The result of the research was that during the two years of Students’ Admission implementation, the headmaster and Students’ Admission committee experienced difficulties in cooperation with the foundation, especially on Students’ Admission funds. Technically all the preparations include the formation of the committee, the determination of activity, budget, schedule, determining the location of the activity, the target of the activity, and the determination of the material in the activity already programmed. The media used to remember the minimal cost is limited based information from parents whose children are learning in Secondary School Ar-Ridho Palembang Ar-Ridho. Evaluation was done in the closing meeting of Students’ Admission, the things are evaluated include the match between the number of learners with the target capacity, the weaknesses was on the method or committee.
