Abstract

Higher order thinking skills or Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are thinking skills that are not just remembering, restating, and also referring without processing, but the ability to think critically, creatively, and be able to solve problems. The objectives of this PKM activity were (1) to understand the principles of making modules based on HOTS questions, (2) to find out the technical steps for making modules based on HOTS questions, (3) to understand the components contained in modules based on HOTS questions. The method used is socialization and mentoring. Material presentation on the principles of making modules based on HOTS questions by the Service Team from UPMI. The participants in this activity were 12 teachers of Public Elementary Schools 1, 2 and 4 of Kaba-Kaba, Kediri sub-district, Tabanan district. The results of this PKM activity are: (1) the trainees understand the principle of making HOTS question-based modules, (2) to understand the technical steps of HOTS question-based modules, (3) understand the components contained in HOTS question-based modules, ( 4) The team from each school produced 1 module based on HOTS questions, and (5) the training participants were very enthusiastic about participating in socialization activities and mentoring in writing HOTS question-based modules and responded positively, so this PKM activity was very useful in relation to improving the quality of teacher competence in learning in school.

Abstract

Modules are learning tools or facilities that contain material that aims to enable students to learn independently or with teacher guidance in teaching and learning activities and ways to evaluate are designed systematically, and interestingly to achieve the competencies expected to achieve learning objectives. The objectives of implementing PKM are (1) to increase knowledge of making HOTS question-oriented modules, (2) to improve participants' abilities and skills in integrating HOTS question-oriented modules into the learning process, and (3) to improve participants' ability to implement implementation of HOTS question-oriented modules in the learning process. HOTS questions through the learning process at school. The PKM program is carried out using the method of outreach, training, guidance, and assistance to participants regarding the creation of HOTS question-oriented modules. The main target in this activity is the teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Kediri, Tabanan Regency. Socialization and mentoring activities were carried out by SMP Negeri 3 Kediri by a team of PKM lecturers from PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia University. The results obtained in the PKM program activities were (1) the participants' knowledge in making HOTS question-oriented modules increased, (2) the participants' abilities and skills to integrate HOTS question-oriented modules into the learning process, and (3) participants were able to implement the implementation of making HOTS-oriented modules. HOTS questions in the learning process which can increase teacher human resources in making HOTS question-oriented modules.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism is the ability of teachers to carry out their main duties as educators and teachers including the ability to plan, carry out, and carry out learning evaluations. Teaching aids are all that can be used and can be used to explain learning concepts from abstract or unclear material clearly, so that students can think and feel. The purpose of this service is to develop teacher innovative professionalism through training in making teaching aids in learning mathematics. This service was carried out for training in making teaching aids in mathematics learning which was carried out at Dwijendra Bualu Middle School. The method used is training and mentoring. The steps implemented in this activity are: planning, socialization, and training in making props, Assistance in the practice of using teaching aids, and Evaluation and reflection aimed at improvement and follow-up. Overall, the service activities for developing innovative professionalism of teachers through training in making teaching aids in mathematics learning at SMP Dwijendra Bualu can take place smoothly and well. In the last activity, namely mentoring using visual aids in mathematics lessons. The response of the participants to this activity was very good. The participants were very enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in the training activities for making teaching aids. At the end of the session the teacher was able to develop a lesson plan using one of the innovative learning models.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is learning that is designed with the aim of facilitating all the diversity of students based on the learning needs and characteristics of students in learning activities. E-LKPD in the form ofLive Worksheet is one of the media assisted by electronic media which contains text, images, animations, and videos that are more effective so that students don't get bored quickly. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the application of E-LKPD-assisted differentiated learning can increase students' active learning in mathematics. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this research were class VIII.2 students of SMP Negeri 6 Denpasar in the academic year 2022/2023 and the object of this research was the activeness of students learning mathematics. In this research through two cycles consisting of four stages of the activity process which includes (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) evaluation and reflection. Data collection techniques using the observation method. The results of the study show that the application of E-LKPD-assisted differentiated learning can increase the activeness of learning mathematics in class VIII.2 students of SMP Negeri 6 Denpasar in the 2022/2023 academic year

Abstract

Cooperative learning model with Jigsaw Type is a model that can be applied to guide students to be more active and help each other in discussed with the jigsaw type, namely the home group and the original group. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes with the jigsaw type cooperative learning model in biology subjects on mutation material. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were class XII MIPA 2 students and the object of research was the learning outcomes of students in biology subjects on mutation material on the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model. This research consists of four stages, namely (1) Planning; (2) Actions; (3) Observation; (4) Reflection. Data collection techniques using the description test method. The results of the study show that applying the jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in biology subject matter for class XII MIPA 2 mutations at SMA Negeri 1 North Kuta in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

STAD type cooperative learning emphasizes collaboration in groups, student-centered learning and awards for the best team will make students more active and enthusiastic, especially activities in communicating with fellow study groups. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in learning outcomes with the application of cooperative learning models in flat and spatial geometry courses in improving student learning outcomes. This type of research is action research with qualitative data. In this action research done collaboratively. The subjects of this study were students of Mathematics Education in the fourth semester of PGRI Mahadewa University, Indonesia, for the 2023/2024 academic year. The object of research is the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model and student learning outcomes in the subject of flat and spatial geometry. The research was carried out in two cycles and each cycle consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The results of the action show that the results of cycles I and II and their supporting factors so that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model in flat and spatial geometry courses can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Professional teachers are teachers who are able to meet competency standards and are proven by professional certificates. Elementary school teachers are class teachers whose duties are required to master many subjects. Therefore, it is undeniable that the mastery of knowledge (material) in several subjects is not optimal and there is the potential for errors or misconceptions to occur in learning mathematics. There are indications that elementary school teachers lack mastery of the material and are less proficient in learning mathematics. Inadequacy in learning Mathematics is a factor of teacher weakness and hinders the achievement of learning objectives, as well as influencing students' positive disposition towards Mathematics. In order to overcome errors or misconceptions in learning mathematics in elementary schools, each teacher must improve teaching skills by understanding mathematical concepts and principles correctly so that the teacher's knowledge increases and the teacher can change the way he teaches in class. Teacher teaching skills can be improved through workshop activities. Teaching skills development is an effective and structured professional development that results in changes to teachers' knowledge and practice in learning mathematics. Conceptually, teaching proficiency is a product of activities embedded in work. In-learning activities supported by teaching skills enhance teachers' knowledge and help them change the way learning is taught in the classroom. Formally developing teaching skills is part of the range of experiences that can result in professional learning

Abstract

SD Negeri 3 Apuan, Susut District, Bangli Regency, in carrying out its activities is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The UPMI PKM team visited SD Negeri 3 Apuan to meet the school principal. From the results of observations and discussions with the principal, and class teachers that at SD Negeri 3 Apuan, there are several problems that need to find solutions such as the teaching and learning process in class, reduced student interest in learning, ICT mastery for teachers, making lesson plans based on local wisdom, making HOTS-based teaching materials, scientific papers or PTK, scientific publications, teacher grades, UKS and so on. Of the several problems that existed at SD Negeri 3 Apuan, the UPMI PKM Team held discussions to decide on priority issues that could be assisted by Partners, namely HR problems, which immediately sought solutions. The implementation method is socialization through training and mentoring. The first activity relates to training on the problem of the teacher's lack of knowledge in writing classroom action research. The activities were carried out in two stages, namely training and mentoring activities. In the mentoring activities for 2 weeks, the mentoring activities aim to improve the target teacher's skills to compose classroom action research writing. This implementation activity involved 2 Mathematics Education Study Program students from PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia University. The results of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities resulted in 2 PTK teachers

Abstract

Maximum achievement will be shown by the birth of qualified and highly competitive science competition champions who are ready to compete at the national level. This activity aims to provide guidance and training to improve students' abilities in Mathematics in order to prepare students for Olympiad activities. This activity is expected to increase students' understanding and competitive spirit in solving math olympiad questions. In achieving this goal, coaching and training activities on material and Olympic questions were held in order to prepare students to face city-level competitions in mathematics. This Community Service activity in the form of coaching and training, began with a discussion with the head of SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar which was then followed by the submission of an Olympic supervisor from the school to the chairman of the LPPPM Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia. Coaching activities are carried out for eight meetings which are held every Friday at 12.00-13.30 WITA. This activity is carried out from the beginning of August to the second week of October. Step by step in intensive guidance activities can be done smoothly according to plan. The results of guidance, observation and evaluation during the process of this activity showed that there was interest and a good response from the participants towards the material presented

Abstract

This PKM aims to increase the knowledge of the development of ICT (Information Communication and Technology) based learning models on teachers and the ability in scientific publications. This PKM was conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in February to May 2019. The design of ICT-based learning development was determined based on the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). Scientific publication is an effort to disseminate a work of thought of a person or group of people in the form of devotion, papers, books or articles. Problems encountered in SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar are the lack of teacher knowledge about ICT-based learning models and the lack of teacher knowledge about scientific publications. PKM method with solution and assistance activities. The socialization activity was held in the meeting room of SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar. Participants in the socialization activities were the school principal, vice principal and all subject teachers. The timing of the socialization activities is adjusted to the agreed schedule of activities so as not to interfere with teaching and learning activities. The results obtained from the socialization and assistance in PKM activities are: 1) Compilation of ICT-based RPP in each subject. 2) increasing the ability of teachers about scientific publications; 3) certificates for PKM participants. 4) Seminar on the results of teacher PTK; 5) the compilation of class action research articles which are included in the Ber ISSN journal and have been published in the journal Widyadari IKIP PGRI Bali Vol. 21, No. April 1, 2019 with e-ISSN: 2613-9308 and p-ISSN: 1907-3232.
