Abstract

This study examines factors which is affecting online shopping customer behavior. Based on Javadi et.al. (2012), there are two model analysis in this research. First, measure affect of financial risk, product risk, incovenience risk, non-delivery risk, return policy, service and infrastructural on online shopping attitude. Second, to measure affect of domain specific innovativeness, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on online shopping behavior. Sample selected from customers of five online shops in Palembang surveyed was selected by snowball sampling. Analysis using multiple linier regression. The results on first model analysis showed that almost of all risks negatively affect online shopping attitude. Only incovenience risk which have positive affect. Return policy and service and infrastructural positively affect online shopping behavior. On second model, analysis shows that all independent variables positively affect on online shopping behavior. This research support empirical research about subjective norms and attitude positively support behavior. In the other side, based on the result, affect of domain specific innovativeness and perceived behavior control need a more concern on future research.

Abstract

This research examines the link between the cross-functional dispersion of influence (marketing, sales, R &D, operation/production,and finance/accounting) on making marketing decisions and performance at the SBU level by considers market dynamism which may moderate the strength of this relationship. Additionally, it's explored the strength and the weaken factors of performance in manager insight. Market orientation come from the thought that company should realize that build consumer satisfaction is the primary of business goal by focused on consumer and competitor.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how customer brand relationship, wheter strong consumer brand love influences willingness to spread positive word of mouth directly or  through brand commitment. This research is a survey research, conducted in 5 cinema locations in Palembang. The analysis method uses mediated regression analysis. So the results of this study can explain whether brand love influences brand commitment and willingness to spread positive word of mouth.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) selama pandemi telah mendapatkan banyak evaluasi dari setiap institusi atau satuan pendidikan. Seperti kebanyakan sekolah, Seminari Menengah Santo Paulus Palembang sebagai dormitory school juga mengalami tantangan dalam menjalankan pembelajaran dengan tetap mengutamakan mutu. Satu kebijakan yang diambil adalah program seminaris diaspora - siswa tinggal di paroki asal mereka atau unit pastoral terdekat dengan tempat tinggal mereka. Selama program diaspora, seminaris tetap mendapatkan materi belajar dan pendampingan rohani yang memadahi dan berkesinambungan, baik dari pamong seminari maupun pastor paroki tempat mereka tinggal. Melalui program ini, siswa mendapatkan pendampingan tentang self-management selama pembelajaran jarak jauh dan bagaimana penggunaan media google classroom dalam proses pembelajaran secara umum dan dalam English writing secara khusus. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode workshop, pendampingan, dan praktik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan tes. Peserta kegiatan adalah siswa kelas akhir (rethorica) yang berjumlah 37 orang yang diselenggarakan pada bulan Juli – September 2020. Umpan balik dari peserta memberikan gambaran bahwa 2 materi tersebut dapat diterima oleh siswa dan aplikasi google classroom pada kegiatan writing dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil kuesioner dan hasil tes English writing peserta. Abstract: The distance learning during the pandemic has been assessed by many educational institutions. St. Paul Minor Seminary, like other schools, also has been challenged in carrying out learning while still prioritizing the quality. One of the policies taken is the diaspora seminarian program – the students live in their home parishes or pastoral units closest to their place of residence. During the diaspora program, seminarians still get adequate and sustainable learning materials and spiritual assistance. For the success of this program and through this program, students will receive assistance on self-management during distance learning and how to use google classroom media in the learning process in general and in English writing specifically. The program was carried out by lecturing, mentoring, and practicing. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. Participants in the activity are 37 final class students held in July - September 2020. By the end, feedbacks from participants gave the emphasis that the 2 materials were accepted by students and the google classroom application in writing activities could run with smooth. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire and the results of the participants' English writing tests.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine whether packaging design and packaging benefits serve as an endpoint for marketing communication that can influence consumer purchase interest for FMCG products. The method was a survey of consumers whose shops at Giant supermarket and JM Kenten on Jl. M.P Mangkunegara Palembang City. Data analysis used descriptive statistic mean score, multiple linear regression, classic assumption, validity, and reliability test. The result shows that packaging design and packaging benefit have a positive effect on consumer purchase interest.

Abstract

Vocabulary is one of the English components that need to be mastered for acquiring writing and reading. Writing needs various vocabularies to build different sentences. Reading needs understanding of different meaning of vocabularies based on the context in the sentence. Hence, vocabulary is important in English language learning to support writing and reading. Regarding the importance of vocabulary, writing, and reading, the aim of this research is to test the effect of vocabulary mastery towards writing ability in English. It is also to test moderating effect of reading ability in strengthening or weakening the relation. This study used moderated regression analysis (MRA). Then, this research used the test as research instrument. The instruments had been valid and also reliable. Classical assumption tests were used before the research analysis. The samples were Management students of semester four and six. Descriptive analysis towards each variable is used to know students’ ability in English. To analyze the effect of independent variables towards dependent variable, it used linear regression analysis. To analyze moderating effect, it used moderating regression analysis. From this research result, it was proved that vocabulary had positive significant effect towards writing skill. Reading skill moderated the relation of vocabulary towards writing skill. Further research can focus on experimental research of vocabulary, writing, and reading.

AbstrakMasa disruption revolusi industri 4.0 menuju era society 5.0 ditambah dengan munculnya pandemiCovid-19 telah mengubah seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia. Di era yang penuh dengan Volatility,Uncertainty, Complexity dan Ambiguity (VUCA) ini manusia harus pandai dan bijaksana melakukan tindakanproaktif dan penyesuaian diri yang diperlukan untuk berinovasi dan mempertahankan hakikatnya sebagaipenguasa alam semesta. Hal ini juga berlaku bagi siswa seminaris yang menjalani proses belajar danpeneguhan panggilan hidup sebagai Imam. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan diSeminari ST. Paulus Palembang. Dalam kegiatan ini seminaris diajak untuk menyadari perubahan yangterjadi dan strategi yang diperlukan dalam manajemen perubahan diri sehingga mereka lebih mantapmenghadapi perubahan itu dalam panggilan hidup mereka. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan secara daring viazoom berupa pemaparan materi dan tanya jawab. Sebagai tugas refleksi diri, para seminaris dimintamenuliskan imagologi atau citra diri mereka sebagai Imam yang mumpuni dalam menghadapi era VUCA ini.Umpan balik berupa pertanyaan dari peserta dan kuesioner penilaian dari peserta menunjukkan bahwaseminaris begitu antusias, responsif dan merasakan manfaat yang besar dari kegiatan ini AbstractThe period of disruption of industrial revolution 4.0 towards the era of society 5.0 coupled with theemergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has changed all aspects of human life. In an era full of volatility,uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA), human must be smart and wise to take proactive actions andadjustments needed to innovate and defend their essence as the ruler of the universe. This also applies toseminarian students who undergo the process of learning and affirming their vocation as priests. Thiscommunity service activity is carried out at the ST. Paul Seminary, Palembang. In this activity, seminariansare invited to be aware of the changes that have occurred and the strategies needed in self-changemanagement so that they are more confident in facing these changes in their vocation. This activities are heldonline via zoom in the form of material presentation and questions and answers. As a self-reflection task,seminarians are asked to write down their imagology or self-image as qualified priests in facing this VUCAera. Feedback in the form of questions from participants and assessment questionnaires from participantsshows that seminarians are very enthusiastic, responsive and feel great benefits from this activity.

Abstract

This public service activity was executedto generate the excitement of housewifes to improve the household economics condition. It is believed that everyone was their own strength for instance the ability in cooking, making crafts, gardening, and so on. But many people do not realize that those could be developed to reach better life. The method is in the form of counselling about the importance of housewif’s role in improving the household economic condition, skills, followed by training in designing appropriate business in accordance with their capabilities and skills. It includes the examples of creative products that can be practiced by housewifesbased on their talent and interests.

Abstract

In facing the new normal era, one of the things that must be improved by vocational school students is soft skills in the field of management, namely character building, as well as preparation for entering the online-oriented world of work is increasing the use of English in social media, especially to become independent entrepreneurs. This is the purpose of the service activities carried out by the UKMC team which were carried out at the SMK Xaverius Palembang vocational school on April 22, 2022 and May 13, 2022. The activity begins with understanding the material through lectures, followed by training and practice in class both individually and in groups. . The final result that is expected is that Xaverius Palembang Vocational School students can recognize personal characters through character building and use good English in social media so that they can become provisions in preparing for a better future.

Abstract

So the results of this study can explain whether brand love influences brand commitment and willingness to spread positive word of mouth. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan merek pelanggan, apakah cinta merek konsumen yang kuat mempengaruhi kemauan untuk menyebarkan berita positif secara langsung atau melalui komitmen merek. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei, dilakukan di 5 lokasi bioskop di Palembang. Metode analisis menggunakan analisis regresi termediasi. Jadi hasil penelitian ini dapat menjelaskan apakah cinta merek memengaruhi komitmen dan kemauan merek untuk menyebarkan berita positif dari mulut ke mulut.
