Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pembelajaran Ritmik melalui Media Alat Musik Berbasis Lingkungan Untuk Siswa Kelas VI di SD Labschool UPI. Fokus permasalahan yang dikaji meliputi materi yang diajarkan, metode yang digunakan, dan hasil dari pembelajaran ritmik di SD Labschool UPI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Metode tersebut digunakan untuk menguraikan dan menggambarkan, serta menganalisis fenomena pembelajaran ritmik. Penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, studi literatur, dan dokumentasi. Data tersebut diolah kemudian dianalisis untuk memperoleh pengertian dan makna yang berguna dalam memecahkan permasalahan yang ada pada pertanyaan penelitian. Berdasarkan temuan di lapangan, materi yang diajarkan lebih menitikberatkan pada pola ritmik sederhana menggunakan media alat musik berbasis lingkungan, metode pembelajaran yang digunakan tidak hanya terpaku pada satu metode saja, melainkan terdapat variasi beberapa metode. Metode pembelajaran tersebut adalah metode ceramah, demonstrasi, imitasi,(Kodaly), drill. Pertimbangan beberapa metode tersebut agar pembelajaran lebih bervariatif dan hasil pembelajaran ritmik dengan menggunakan alat lingkungan melalui materi ajar serta metode yang ditentukan memberikan dampak terhadap kepekaan rasa irama siswa, stabilitas tempo, serta kepedulian terhadap lingkungan.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Ritmik, Media Alat Musik Berbasis Lingkungan,       Materi  Ajar, Metode Pembelajaran ABSTRACTThe study, entitled “Rhythmic Learning by Environment-Based Music Instrumental Media for Grader VI of SD Labschool UPI. This study focuses on problems including material taught, method used, and rhythmic learning performance in SD Labschool UPI. Method being used in this study is analytical descriptive by qualitative approach. The method is used to explain and describe, as well as analyze rhythmic learning phenomena. The research data were collected by means of observations, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. Those data are processed and, subsequently, analyzed to get understanding and meaning necessary to solve problems available on the study question. The field findings suggest material teaching place more pressure on simple rhythmic design using environment-based music instrumental media. The learning method used is not only fixed in one method, but rather there are some variations of methods in use. They are speech, demonstration, imitation (Kodaly), drill methods. The methods are considered to make learning have more variations, and rhythmic learning performance using environmental instrument by means of learning taught and method set is expected to have impact on student sensitivity to rhythmic sense, stability of tempo, and attention to environment. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the teaching culture in the indigenous community. This study explores the local knowledge system in the practice of music teaching in an indigenous community of Kampung Naga, Tasikmalaya regency. This is an ethnographic research to give a detailed analysis on each case and to understand the phenomena from the point of view of the doers. This study documents the local knowledge system in music teaching culture in Kampung Naga, including nu dirampa (tried, explored), nu dirasa (perceived, contemplated), and nu nyata (used, applied). Hopefully, these findings can be the foundation of education, conservation, and innovation, and also as skills to improve the society’s welfare, not only Kampung Naga society, but also other societies, especially in the context of education at school.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Talking about Sundanese pop music principally means talking about the concept of Sundanese music itself, which is, indeed, packaged differently. Historically, commercial music (pop music) in developing countries, such as Indonesia, did not destruct the originality of “sounds” in its local pop music; rather, it enriched the local music. The imported pop culture is a resource, a source of information on new sounds, instruments, and ideas, which can be exploited by local artists to create “a different taste of music” based on their capabilities. Popular music today is made for commercial purposes, even a commodity; however, sometimes it does not lack quality. Consequently, it is very difficult to make something original in popular music, for if originality is emphasized, people will sense that there is something uncommon in the song. On the other hand, if it lacks originality, its quality will be lowered. The aim of this paper is to discuss on Sundanese pop music. The issues covered: the existence of pop music, the existence of recording industries and Sundanese pop music, and local identity and Sundanese pop music industries, more specifically concerning the case of Nano Suratno that known as Nano S. Based on the conducted study, two hypotheses were put forward. Firstly, the Sundanese pop music of Nano Suratno is based on creative considerations; where in quality, uniqueness, and adaptation are maintained. Secondly, the Sundanese pop music of Nano Suratno is a spirit in counter balancing the national pop music industries. Abstract

Walaupun mungkin ada sekolah-sekolah yang memperkerjakan seorang guru spesialis musik pada tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD), tetapi sejauh ini di sekolah dasar-sekolah dasar negri khususnya, belum memperkerjakan guru spesialis (guru musik yang berlatar belakang sarja pendidikan musik). Selama ini kurikulum pendidikan sekolah dasar pun, mengarahkan guru-gurunya untuk mampu memadukan semua area mata pelajaran, termasuk musik dengan mata pelajaran lainnya. Hal inilah yang membawa kepada arah atau tujuan pendidikan musik pada program pendidikan guru SD. Tujuan tersebut adalah memberikan kemampuan dasar musik dan pengajarannya. Tetapi hal ini berdampak kepada pertanyaan - kemampuan dasar musik seperti apa yang harus diberikan? Ini perlu dijawab karena mau kemana arah pendidikan guru SD kita, apakah menjadi generalis atau spesialis? Berdasarkan permasalahan itulah, makalah ini menyajikan sebuah uraian koseptual tentang program pendidikan musik untuk guru SD. Penulis berharap makalah ini menjadi langkah awal untuk mengkaji lebih dalam tentang pendidikan musik untuk guru SD.

Abstract

The research was conducted to develop a music model based on local wisdom. Through this article, researchers at Cikondang village, Pangalengan, West Java. The research problem was that, along with the changing times, the next generation tended to ignore the values of local wisdom. So that through music learning, the values of art could be understood and actualized in everyday life. Music (nembang and ngabeluk) became a medium to express values in pupuh verses, which contained wawacan about the relationship between man and their God; man and others; and man and their surroundings. The data collection was done using observation, interview, and literature review then analyzed with the music education approach. The obtained results reveal that the learning process of seni beluk in Cikondang Village has taken place in the context of community education, which is done informally, and formed naturally. There is no invitation or coercion from the elders to the next generation to learn this art form. Meanwhile, for people from the next generation who has a passion for learning, the learning steps do not only train their techniques, but they also learn about the values ingrained in the pupuh verses.

Abstract

The development of technology and information demands elementary school teachers to be able to make and teach technology-based musical instruments so that the development of technology and information can be used in the learning process. Elementary school teachers also have problems teaching musical composition using ensemble musical instruments. Teachers also lack strategies and media to teach musical instruments, so they need to have ideas for developing technology-based musical instruments. This study aims to develop the elementary school teachers’ ability to innovate and make music learning media using a computerized system. The research design used was action research. The participants were 38 teachers from nine regencies and cities in West Java, Indonesia. The results showed that the teachers were able to complete the task of making technology-based learning media which means that they were able to develop their technological abilities to make music learning media. Teachers can easily use and master the Scratch application to make music learning media. It can be concluded that with structured and controlled training, elementary school teachers can develop themselves and innovate well.

Abstract

This article describes music’s role in social interactions carried out by female members of the Marawis group Sirojul Ummah. The Marawis music is the medium they use in their efforts to convey Islamic knowledge and understanding, both for this group itself and for the surrounding community. The research method used is qualitative, in which data are collected from observations, interviews, and literature review, while the technique in analyzing data is done through a contextual approach. Social interaction in this study is viewed from the associative and dissociative aspects in the form of actions that include rational instrumental action, value rational action, effective action, and traditional action. Music is present in each of these actions. Music is both a subject and an object in social interaction, both in-groups, and out-groups. The associative and dissociative aspects of in-groups can be seen from how musical ideas and performances are developed and honed through practice activities. This activity is carried out because good musical performance is supported by techniques and methods of singing, playing, and presenting musical articulation, ornamentation, and harmonization. At the same time, the associative and dissociative aspects of out-groups can be seen from their activities in filling out events in society. The interaction process is built-in pleasant and informal situations which are shaped by an interest in music and family relationships. Since childhood, they have known each other; thus, they understand the characteristics of each person. Maturity, the maturity of thinking, and acting tend to avoid emotional conflicts that may occur. In this context, music is not only a medium for interaction, but can be a motivation in building these interactions.

Skripsi ini berjudul MUSIK QASIDAH MODERN AT-TARBIYAH DI PONDOK PESANTREN RAUDLATUL MUTA’ALIMIN CILENDEK KOTA TASIKMALAYA, adapun yang menjadi fokus pada penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk musik qasidah modern dengan sampel lagu yang diambil dari album qasidah modern At-tarbiyah itu sendiri yang berjudul Permata Dunia, lagu ini diciptakan oleh pendiri grup yang tidak memiliki kapasitas di bidang pengelolaan musik, kemudian berfokus pada pengembangan alat musik, dan proses kreativitas yang dilakukan oleh grup qasidah modern At-tarbiyah. Qasidah modern adalah salah satu kesenian Islam yang patut kita apresiasi keberadaannya, dengan demikian kesenian ini akan tetap bertahan ditengah maraknya musik-musik Barat yang banyak menyita perhatian seluruh kalangan masyarakat di Nusantara. Hal tersebut membuat peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti lebih dalam mengenai musik qasidah modern ini agar masyarakat lebih mengenal musik qasidah sebagai bagian dari musik Islam yang ada di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan  dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif sehingga hasil data yang disajikan berupa pemaparan atau kata-kata dan bukan angka-angka. Berdasarkan hasil peneliatian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti memperoleh temuan mengenai bentuk musik qasidah modern dengan sampel lagu dari album grup qasidah modern At-tarbiyah yang berjudul Permata Dunia, pengembangan alat musik yang digunakan, dan proses kreativitas grup qasidah modern At-tarbiyah di Pondok Pesantren Raudlatul Muta’alimin Cilendek Kota Tasikmalaya.Kata Kunci: Qasidah modern, At-tarbiyah, Pesantren Raudlatul muta’alimin

Abstract

Tiada akhir pada suatu pergolakan, selalu timbul pertentangan suatu terhadap yang lainnya. Begitu juga aliran impresionisme pada periode romantik, muncul akibat pertentangan komposer-komposer saat itu menentang formalisme tradisional berupa aturan musik yang diajarkan pada instansi akademik di Paris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis keunikan pengolahan melodi, ritmik, dan harmoni yang dilakukan Debussy dalam clair de lune  lalu kemudian mengambarkan dan mendeskripsikan temuan hasil analisis. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian inimenggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan paradigma kualitatif. Ditemukan bahwa Dalam mengolah melodi, Debussy melakukan beberapa hal, seperti membuat suatu garis melodi, mengutamakan langkah second mayor dan minor, penggandaan melodi, melodi tumbuh secara organis, melodi ornamen. Dalam mengolah ritmik, Debussy menggunakan ritme aditif dan pengelompokan nada yang tidak sama. Sedangkan dalam pengolahan harmoni melakukan beberapa disonansi, open chord, appoggiatura, variasi harmoni sebagai unsur vertikal, penggunaan akor pararel, pentatonik, dan whole tone sebagai akor. Debussy membuat karya piano clair de lune sangat khas dengan gayanya sendiri dan mengolahnya secara vertikal dan horizontal. Selain itu karya ini mampu menggambarkan suatu bulan khas dengan cahayanya di malam hari yang begitu cerah, temaram, dan tenang. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan Sebagai tambahan referensi atau bahan kajian repertoar yang dapat membantu dalam menganalisis suatu karya musik, khususnya karya Claude Debussy.Kata kunci : pergolakan, clair de lune, Claude Debussy, Moon, Stylistic

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Aplikasi Experience Learning dalam Pembelajaran Piano Iringan di Departemen Pendidikan Musik UPI”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang experience learning yang terjadi pada pembelajaran piano iringan. Manfaat penelitian ini antara lain dapat dijadikan referensi pengetahuan ilmiah dalam penggunaan experience learning pada pembelajaran piano iringan dan juga dapat memberi pengetahuan serta wawasan tentang experience learning yang terjadi pada pembelajaran pada piano iringan bagi pembaca. Penelitian ini merumuskan tiga masalah, rumusan tersebut antara lain peran pendidik ketika menerapkan experience leraning dalam pembelajaran piano iringan, keterlibatan peserta didik pada proses experience learning dan pengetahuan peserta didik yang di ciptakan melalui experience learning. Sebagai penunjang keberhasilan skripsi ini, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dimana apa yang peneliti temukan dilaporkan atau dituliskan secara deskriptif. Temuan pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi, sehingga peneliti mendapatkan temuan bahwa experience learning terjadi saat pembelajaran piano berlangsung. Experience learning dilakukan dari awal kelas berlangsung hingga selesai, kegiatannya dimulai saat dosen memberikan materi kepada mahasiswa , lalu dilanjutkan saat mahasiswa praktek bermain piano iringan secara individu. Dalam pembelajarannya pendidik memiliki peran yang sangat penting yaitu sebagai motivator, fasilitator dan mediator. Pengetahuan peserta didik yang dihasilkan melalui experience learning mengalami peningkatan yang lebih baik dikarenakan pembelajarannya yang didasarkan pada pengalaman membuat peserta didik belajar dengan lebih mudah karena telah mengalami bahan ajaran sebelumnya yang dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran yang diberikan selanjutnya.Kata kunci : Experience learning, pembelajaran piano iringan
