Abstract

Bencana telah menjadi fenomena sosial karena setiap peristiwa bencana selalu melibatkan manusia di dalamnya. Penyebab bencana memang dapat diidentifikasi baik secara alam maupun perilaku manusia. Akan tetapi segala sesuatu dikatakan bencana karena menimpa kehidupan manusia. Bencana merupakan suatu keniscayaan dan sebagai manusia patut berusaha untuk menyikapi secara positif terhadap penyebab dan dampak yang ditimbulkannya. Setidaknya ada lima implikasi positif dalam menyikapi bencana, yaitu tindakan preventif dan mitigasi, tidak selalu tergantung pada teknologi, bersikap proaktif, dan bersifat otokritik. Cara pandang seperti ini akan memberikan implikasi bagi kita untuk lebih siap menghadapi bencana karena kita melihatnya sebagai sebuah fenomena sosial yang dapat ditanggulangi. Salah satu masalah sosial adalah kemiskinan. Kemiskinan itu sendiri telah menjadi bencana bagi kehidupan manusia yang tidak hanya disebabkan oleh bencana alam melainkan juga oleh faktor-faktor yang datang dari masyarakat itu sendiri. Studi kebencanaan memang perlu mendapatkan porsi yang besar dari beberapa bidang ilmu sosial seperti antropologi, sosiologi, psikologi, dan pada titik tertentu, “geografi”. Dengan demikian, kita semua menjadi manusia yang dapat menyikapi bencana sebagai fenomena sosial yang terintegrasi. Kata kunci : bencana, fenomena sosial, kemiskinan.

Abstract

Industri secara umum adalah kelompok bisnis tertentu yang memiliki teknik dan metode yang sama dalam menghasilkan laba. Karena itu, dampak secara ekonomi lebih dirasakan, pedahal masih terdapat akibat lain yang tidak hanya menguntungkan tetapi juga merugikan yang jarang diperhatikan. Dalam perencanaan ekonomi dan wilayah urban, kawasan industri adalah penggunaan lahan dan aktivitas ekonomi secara intensif yang berhubungan dengan manufakturisasi dan produksi Berdirinya Industri tentu membawa dampak, baik itu bagi lingkungan hidup mapun lingkungan sosial. Beberapa Dampak tersebut diantaranya seperti mengurangi tingkat pengangguran, meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat disekitar kawasan industri dan lain sebagainya. Bagi kehidupan sosial, industri cenderung membawa dampak positif, tapi bagi lingkungan hidup industri membawa banyak dampak negatif seperti pencemaran air, polusi udara dan lain sebagainya. Selain yang telah disebutkan tadi, dalam lingkungan sosial industri biasanya mendapat tuntutan sosial. Kata kunci: Dampak industri, lingkungan, sosial.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran yang tinggi dan strategis dalam rangka meningkatkan sumber daya manusia. Bahkan lebih jauh lagi telah mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi, baik bagi individu, masyarakat maupun pemerintah. Hal ini berdasar pada pertimbangan bahwa pendidikan sebagai suatu institusi yang menyediakan tenaga kerja yang sesuai keahliannya dan/atau bahkan mempersiapkan masyarakat dengan keterampilan-keterampilan yang diperoleh sehingga mampu membuka dan memperluas lapangan kerja itu sendiri. Pembangunan pendidikan berarti pembangunan SDM dari yang belum terdidik menjadi manusia terdidik. Manusia yang sudah memperoleh pendidikan ditingkatkan kualitasnya dari yang mempunyai pendidikan umum diarahkan pada pendidikan keahlian atau keterampilan tertentu. Investasi dalam pendidikan berarti investasi sumber daya manusia yang secara ekonomi tingkat pengembalian keuntungannya tidak secepat pengembalian ekonomi. Tetapi terasa dengan tingginya kualitas sumber daya manusia yang dihasilkan pendidikan akan menambah pertumbuhan ekonomi. Kata kunci: Pendidikan, pertumbuhan ekonomi, sumber daya manusia.

Abstract

Etos kerja merupakan modal utama dalam pembangunan masyarakat. keberhasilan suatu bangsa membentuk dirinya menjadi bangsa besar dan maju tidak cukup bermodalkan pada kekayaan alamnya tetapi tergantung pada pola kerja bangsa tersebut yang didasari oleh keyakinan yang kuat untuk berhasil. Kemajuan teknologi hanya bisa tercapai apabila terjadi peningkatan produktivitas manusianya, karena manusianya lebih sehat, lebih terampil, lebih terdidik, dan lebih termotivasi untuk bekerja. Etos kerja dan moral yang tinggi akan memfungsikan teknologi tersebut yang akan melahirkan kemudahan bagi manusia untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya, menghasilkan sesuatu yang berguna, efisien, bernilai tambah, meningkatkan mutu kerja, optimalisasi pemanfaatan sumber daya dan mengurangi kerusakan terhadap alam. Mengutamakan etos kerja yang tinggi diikuti dengan kemampuan sumber daya lainnya dalam rangka meningkatkan semangat kerja tentu akan berorientasi kepada peningkatan mutu pembangunan terutama pembangunan ekonomi kita. Oleh karena itu, dalam makalah ini mengangkat tentang etos kerja dan kegairahan dalam kehidupan pembangunan ekonomi, tentunya etos kerja dilihat dari berbagai sudut pandang para ahli dan agama, maupun negara. Kata kunci: Etos kerja, kewirausahaan, pembangunan ekonomi.

Abstract

Semakin meningkatnya jumlah penduduk berarti jumlah kebutuhan menjadi lebih besar, salah satunya kebutuhan pada lahan. Mengingat sebagian besar penduduk Indonesia bermata pencaharian dalam bidang pertanian, maka semakin sempitlah lahan garapan karena telah dikonversi menjadi lahan permukiman, jalan, industri dan lainnya. Konversi lahan pada dasarnya merupakan hal yang wajar terjadi, namun pada kenyataannya konversi lahan menjadi masalah karena terjadi di atas lahan pertanian yang masih produktif dan ketersediaannya yang terbatas. Proses terjadinya alih fungsi lahan pertanian ke penggunaan non pertanian disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor meliputi faktor eksternal (adanya dinamika pertumbuhan perkotaan, demografi maupun ekonomi), faktor internal (kondisi sosial-ekonomi rumah tangga pertanian pengguna lahan), dan faktor kebijakan (aspek regulasi yang dikeluarkan pemerintah pusat maupun daerah yang berkaitan dengan perubahan fungsi lahan pertanian). Dampak konversi lahan sawah antara lain menurunkan produksi padi nasional, kerugian akibat investasi dana untuk mencetak sawah, membangun waduk dan sistem irigasi. Dampak lainnya adalah menurunnya kesempatan kerja dalam bidang pertanian dan degradasi lingkungan. Upaya pencegahan konversi lahan sawah yang dapat dilakukan hanya bersifat pengendalian yang bertitik tolak dari faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya konversi lahan sawah, yaitu faktor ekonomi, sosial, dan perangkat hukum. Selain itu, hendaknya didukung oleh keakuratan pemetaan dan pendataan penggunaan lahan yang dilengkapi dengan teknologi yang memadai. Kata kunci: konversi lahan pertanian, faktor eksternal, faktor internal.

Abstract

In PKn Learning in the concept of being proud as an Indonesian child there are many third grade students of SDIT Harapan Ummat Jakarta who get a less than optimal score. From the results of observations, the teacher uses a less varied learning method so that it does not support student activity and is less focused on the subject matter. Therefore, to improve the learning process, using the Cooperative Script model is expected to help students improve and improve their learning outcomes. The specific purpose of this study is to identify the steps and improve student learning outcomes through the Cooperative Script model in PKn learning. The type of this research used was Classroom Action Research using the Kemis and Teggart models conducted at SDIT Harapan Ummat with 35 students. The results of this study experienced a lot of improvement in activities and learning outcomes. from the results of observing the activities of students in the first cycle that is 57%, with enough categories and experiencing an increase in the second cycle to 84%, with the category Very good. While the average value of student learning outcomes in pre-cycle 36, cycle I 75.2, and cycle II increased to 92. From the results obtained concluded that learning using Cooperative Script learning models in Civics learning on the concept of pride has succeeded with increasing learning outcomes students. Recommendations to teachers as a reference for preparing lesson plans in improving professional skills in teaching Civics material for students in their classrooms, as well as broadening teacher insights and knowledge in applying Cooperative Script learning models.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the anxiety felt by parents and teachers at the educational process that only relies on the cognitive aspects, ignoring the affective aspects, so that it makes learning less meaningful, so that learning is meaningful, the material is not foreign to students, therefore social studies material can be taken from sources closest to students. One of the contextual learning can help students understand the various sources of learning from the student's socio-cultural environment, the teacher can start it by looking for socio-cultural values that are relevant to the themes of social studies learning. For this reason, the researcher tries to use the socio-cultural environment of students in this case the Banten Lama area as a source of learning in elementary schools so that it is hoped that children will follow and identify themselves according to the stories in the learning. The location of the primary school which is the subject of this study is the SD Laboratory of the UPI Serang Campus which is located in the city of Serang. The research method uses a qualitative research approach with the phenomenological method then the results of the research are used as teaching material in social studies learning in elementary schools by conducting a series of cycles starting from planning, implementation, observation and reflection. While the data analysis is done by means of triangulation, member check, trial audit and expert opinion, then the data that has been analyzed draw conclusions.

Abstract

The problem of understanding students' concepts on social sciences that are still established criteria became the background of this study. This was evidenced from the preliminary notes that 10% of students reach a minimum score of ≥ 75. This research used the Team Game Tournament type of cooperative learning, which is part of the type or model of cooperative learning that is very flexible to use to invite all students to activities without status support and include roles students `to make a tutor and in it is a game or game and reinforcement. Fun learning process activities can make students interested in this learning. This is due to the age of elementary school students whose nature still likes to play and tends to allow exciting learning. Learning must also be concrete in nature. It is easier for students to accept the material presented by the teacher during the research learning process which took place at SDN Cijengkol 01 for fourth-grade students of even semesters with 46 students. This research aimed to improve the learning ability of students and increasing activities in the learning process. Therefore, this learning model is needed. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research. The instruments used were test and observation sheets. This research was conducted in two cycles. The acquisition of the classical average value of the first cycle 64. The percentage of learning completeness is 30%. The second rank is the acquisition of an average value of 86 presentations of classical learning completeness as much as 91.34% of the research was declared successful because it has reached the predetermined standard of completeness. This learning model can improve learning abilities and improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

In social studies learning, the teacher had not optimized the environment around the school as a learning resource, which is expected to increase student motivation and learning outcomes. The purpose of this research were to: 1) describe the use of the school environment as a learning resource, and 2) design the use of the school environment as a learning resource in social science learning. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The data in this study were the results of observations and interviews conducted at the time of the study. The research data collection technique used observations and interviews. Data were analysed using three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results showed that: 1) the activities of using the school environment as a learning resource for social studies learning in class V have been frequently carried out. 2) Learning activities that take advantage of the school environment must of course be carefully prepared since this learning activity had wide and open spaces and also different challenges during teaching in the classroom. The planning of the use of the school environment as a learning resource is made in the form of a fifth grade social science lesson plan using the theme 8 Our Friends Environment. Teacher is expected to optimize the environment around the school as a learning resource in social science learning since it is potentially to increase student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Ideally, learning activities are carried out face-to-face, where the process of learning activities is carried out directly with a meeting between teachers and students in one place without going through any intermediaries. since the issuance of government policies that require the community to carry out all activities from home, face-to-face learning can no longer be done. The purpose of online learning is to make alternatives so that the learning process can continue as usual. This study aims to determine students' learning difficulties when studying online in social studies subjects in class V SDN Cigadung 5. The approach used in this study is qualitative. The method used in this research is the case study method. Data collection techniques in this study were through document analysis, interviews with school principals, class teachers, and parents of students, as well as questionnaires, addressed to 26 fifth grade students related to online learning difficulties in social studies subjects. The implementation of online learning, of course, creates obstacles during the learning process. Because online learning is a new thing, both students and teachers have previously been used to carrying out face-to-face learning. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire recapitulation which has been filled out by 26 students. Students who answered correctly on the online learning difficulty questionnaire on social studies subjects were 794.7% while students who answered incorrectly were 1,220.7. This shows that more students answered incorrect statements in the questionnaire. So it can be concluded that SDN Cigadung 5, especially in class V, has difficulties when learning online in social studies subjects.
