Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has a physical impact and on the mental health condition of the community. The existence of psychological distress due to the Covid 19 pandemic will affect the body's physiological conditions, such as reduced immune system responses and increased risk of infection, and the impact on mental health. The COVID-19 pandemic demands a change in people's behavior. Mental health and psychosocial support training is very important for the community so that the community can actively maintain mental and physical health. The research objective is to identify the effect of DKJPS training on awareness of new adaptation readiness. Method: The research was conducted through a quasi-experimental pre-post-test without control on 44 participants in the DKJPS training. Result: there is a significant difference between awareness of adaptation new habits before and after training (p-value 0.001). Conclusion: Mental health and psychosocial support training conducted in the community can increase public awareness of new adaptation habits independently.

Abstract

Anxiety is a psychological problem often found in children after the flood. Anxiety experienced can interfere with psychological well-being and academic achievement. The study aimed to determine the prevalence of anxiety levels in junior high school students in flood-prone areas. This study uses quantitative methods and descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach Samples were taken using a total sampling technique of 100 junior high school students living in flood-prone areas. Data were collected using the Screen for Child Anxiety Related Disorders. The results showed that the average age of the respondents was 13.43 years, the standard deviation was 0.756, the minimum age was 12 years, and the maximum period was 16 years. A total of 66.0% of respondents are female. Anxiety descriptions of respondents: 73.0% experienced anxiety disorders, with criteria: generalized anxiety disorder 43%, panic or somatic disorders 54%, separation anxiety 81%, social anxiety 48% and school avoidance 19.0%. Junior high school students who live in flood-prone areas with repeated floods experience anxiety. Based on the study's results, the recommendations require cooperation between counselling teachers and primary health care nurses in charge of school health efforts to screen the psychological health of adolescents affected by floods and provide psychological interventions.

Abstract

The child is the asset and successor of the ideals of the nation's struggle for the future. Children are entitled to service to develop the ability, and social life, by following per under the culture, and personality of the nation, to become good, and useful citizens. Children are entitled to maintenance and protection, while in the womb or after birth, and children are entitled to protection against the environment that endangers or hinders their growth and development. Child abuse comes in many forms. This study to find out the relationship between verbal violence and student’s learning achievement. We used descriptive quantitative correlation, cross-sectional, for instruments we used questionnaires for verbal violence. Data analysed was a bivariate test that used the chi-square test. Technic sampling used stratified random sampling with lottery technique based on student ID number amount 225 people. There is a significant relationship between verbal abuse and student learning achievement.

Abstract

Perawat berperan meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat yang baik melalui upaya kesehatan jiwa. Upaya kesehatan jiwa pada kelompok sehat diberikan melalui promosi kesehatan jiwa. Sekolah menjadi tempat kegiatan promosi kesehatan jiwa dari perawat. Siswa sekolah menengah pertama dan sekolah menengah atas termasuk dalam kelompok remaja. Remaja berada pada tahap perkembangan identitas diri. Remaja kelompok sasaran dari promosi kesehatan jiwa. Melakukan seks bebas, merokok dan menggunakan narkoba merupakan perilaku beresiko. Pemahaman tentang bahaya seks bebas, rokok dan Narkoba penting bagi remaja sebagai kelompok rentan perilaku beresiko. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dalam memahami bahaya seks bebas, rokok dan Narkoba sehingga dapat berperan aktif mencegah perilaku beresiko. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk edukasi kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan berupa pemberian edukasi kesehatan melalui ceramah, memberikan leaflet, diskusi serta tanya jawab diakhir kegiatan. Evaluasi pengetahuan peserta dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest. Jumlah peserta 140 Siswa( 43 laki-laki dan 97 perempuan) dari dua sekolah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Hasil dari kegiatan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan berdasarkan hasil evaluasi. Sebelum diberikan edukasi mean pengetahuan siswa 60.47 dan setelah edukasi mean pengetahuan siswa 81.23. Siswa harus memahami bahaya seks bebas,rokok dan NARKOBA, berperan aktif dalam mencegah perilaku beresiko.

Abstract

Objective: Covid-19 pandemic is a non-natural disaster. Everyone, including children, becomes stressed, to prevent transmission of the virus, an adaptation of new habits is needed, so it is necessary to provide knowledge in the form of repeated education related to new normal adaptation to improve physical health. This is necessary so that the child's ability to apply the new normal adaptation is consistent. This new normal adaptation is a necessary step to determine the readiness of elementary school children to conduct limited face-to-face learningMethods:  This article used a pre-experimental design, namely by means of a one-group pre-test-post-test design for 73 elementary school students in Bandung. The child is given a pre-test regarding the new normal adaptation and then a video is given about physical health that must be considered in the new normal adaptation, after which a post-test assessment is carried out. Bivariate Analysis Using the Wilcoxon test.  Results: The results of the study found that there was an influence before being given physical health education about covid-19 on the ability of elementary school students to implement the new normal adaptation. Conclusion:  Researchers suggest parents and teachers to keep reminding their children to adapt to new habits.

Abstract

Latar belakang : Seorang mahasiswi mengalami harga diri rendah akibat pengalamankekerasan dalam keluarga dan bullying. Studi kasus ini mengambarkan bagaimana kekerasandalam keluarga dan bullying memicu harga diri rendah dan pengaruh tindakan keperawatanafirmasi positif.Laporan kasus : Seorang mahasiswi melakukan konseling pada praktisi keperawatan jiwa.Klien sejak kecil sering dibandingkan dengan saudara kandung oleh ibunya karena bentuktubuhnya yang kurus dan nilai dari sekolah yang selalu rendah. Selain di rumah klien jugamengatakan sering diejek karena kurus dan kulitnya berwarna gelap. Pengalaman tersebutmembuat klien merasa tidak percaya diri, merasa berbeda dari orang lain dan takut untukberteman. Klien mengatakan pernah memiliki pikiran untuk bunuh diri. Asuhan keperawatandiberikan pada klien selama lima hari dengan fokus intervensi pemberian terapi afirmasipositif. Hasil evaluasi dari asuhan keperawatan yang diberikan menunjukkan peningkatanharga diri, memiliki pikiran positif tentang dirinya, melakukan kemampuan untukmeningkatkan harga diri sesuai aspek positif yang dimiliki. Hasil pengukuran harga dirimenggunakan Rosenberg self esteem Scale menunjukkan peningkatan dan penurunan darihasil pengukuran Self reporting Quetionnaire 29 menunjukkan penurunan.Kesimpulan : Asuhan keperawatan dengan fokus intervensi terapi afirmasi positifmemegang peranan penting dalam membantu klien dengan masalah keperawatan harga dirirendah. Asuhan keperawatam selama lima hari dapat meningkatkan harga diri dan mengubahpikiran negatif.Kata kunci : afirmasi positif, bullying, harga diri rendah, kekerasan dalam keluarga, , studi

Abstract

Usia dewasa muda dengan depresi merupakan kelompok terbanyak yang melakukan bunuh diri. Bunuh diri diawali dengan muncul ide untuk mengakhiri hidup pada dewasa muda yang mengalami depresi. Kaitan ide bunuh diri dengan depresi pada dewasa muda perlu diketahui untuk menekan kejadian bunuh diri. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui korelasi depresi dengan ide bunuh diri pada dewasa muda. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional terhadap 385 orang dewasa muda berusia 18-25 tahun yang terpilih melalui snowball sampling. Intrumen menggunakan Beck-Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) dan Beck Scale for Suicidal Ideation (BSSI) versi Indonesia. Hasil uji reliabilitas BDI-II memiliki nilai Cronbach Alpha 0.964 dan BSSI memiliki nilai Cronbach Alpha 0.963. Uji korelasi menggunakan Kendall Tau. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa rata-rata responden depresi dengan skor 12.58 dan ide bunuh diri 5.05. Ada korelasi yang signifikan antara tingkat depresi dengan ide bunuh diri (p<0.05). Arah korelasi positif dan berkekuatan lemah (r = 0.442). Depresi pada dewasa muda berkorelasi dengan ide bunuh diri.

Abstract

The prevalence of CHF is increasing every year. The impact of a psychosocial condition requiringcomprehensive treatment for CHF in all aspects. One contributing factor to success is the involvement ofthe family. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the differences of social support towards clients withCHF who were receiving family psychoeducation. Method: This study used a Quasi -experimental prepost test without a control group”. A sample of 25 respondents and sample retrieval techniques with apurposive sampling procedure. The instrument used was an ISSB questionnaire for measuring socialsupport. The intervention group was provided with family psychoeducation that performed 5 sessions.Result and conclusion: The finding this study showed was a significant change before and after the familysupport family psychoeducation (p-value 0.00<α). Characteristics of the family and the client is notassociated with social support. Family psychoeducation research way recommended developed in a publichospital.

Abstract

Toxic relationships have an impact on the mental health conditions of adolescents. Toxic relationships can be avoided through increased knowledge. Mental health education online is a form of mental health promotion given to adolescents. Teenagers are the target of online mental health promotion, considering the ease of using webinar platforms. One of the tasks of adolescent development is to form mature interpersonal relationships. Mental health promotion about toxic relationships is essential for adolescents to avoid unhealthy interpersonal relationships and ultimately interfere with health. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of adolescents in realizing healthy interpersonal relationships and preventing toxic interpersonal relationships. Activities are carried out online through media zoom. The method used is providing mental health education through lectures, leaflets about toxic relationships, discussions and questions and answers at the end of the activity. Participants also filled out the pretest and posttest. The number of participants was 43 teenagers (9% male and 91% female), aged between 14-21 years, with 95% education. In the activity results, there was a significant change in knowledge, were previously given education, the mean was 55.47, and after being given, it became the mean 77.91. Adolescents must recognize toxic relationships, not allow themselves to be in toxic interpersonal relationship situations and make efforts to prevent toxic interpersonal relationships.

Abstract

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support is a mental health effort for disaster survivors. Psychiatric nurses have competence in conducting it in every disaster situation. A refuge is a place for community service activities for mental nurses. Earthquake survivors who live in evacuation shelters are among the vulnerable groups experiencing mental health problems. There is a risk of mental health problems and survivors' psychosocial well-being requiring intervention from nurses. Mental health and psychosocial support by nurses can detect and prevent mental health problems and increase survivors' mental health resilience. Community service activities for natural disasters in Cianjur aim to detect early mental health problems and improve knowledge and skills in managing stress. Activities carried out in the form of group and individual mental nursing interventions. The method used is detecting mental health problems using the Self Report Questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20), providing health education through lectures, discussions and training skills regarding stress management. Activities were carried out in 4 batches and - each batch for two days. The number of survivors aged 18 and over who were intervened was 418 people from 4 villages in Cianjur Regency. The results of the SRQ-20 measurement show that 70.1% of survivors experience mental and emotional disorders. Evaluation of activities orally survivors could answer questions and demonstrate the stress management method given. Mental health and psychosocial support (DKJPS) is a standard mental nursing intervention in disaster mental nursing care. DKJPS can be applied to the practice of disaster mental nursing collaboratively by involving various scientific disciplines of nursing in the disaster area.
