Abstract

The research aims to: 1) find out the habit of speaking Javanese at home, 2) find out the understanding of the concept of ‘unggah-ungguh’ in Javanese and 3) This study aims to determine the effect of the habit of speaking Javanese at home on understanding the concept of Javanese ‘unggah-ungguh’ language in fifth grade elementary school students in Cluster 02, Bantul District. This research was conducted on fifth grade elementary school students in Cluster 02 Bantul District in the academic year 2022/2023. This study uses a quantitative survey technique with a population of 351 students with a sample of 187 students. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques, prerequisite tests, and simple linear regression analysis with a significance level of = 0.05. The results of the study: 1) The habit of speaking Javanese at home was in the high category with a percentage of 35.29%, 2) the understanding of the concept of uploading and uploading the Javanese language was in a very high category with a percentage of 51.9% and 3) there was an influence of the Javanese speaking habit in the household on understanding the concept of Javanese unggah-ungguh language in fifth grade elementary school students in Cluster 02 Bantul District with the results of the independent variable being positive and unidirectional, namely Y = 1.272 + 0.080X, with a significance value of 0.000. With the contribution of the influence of 25.40%, while the remaining 74.60% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to maximize students' learning understanding in class V at SDN Pendem II through the School Literacy Movement in social studies learning using picture story media. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research methods. The researcher made direct observations in the field on social studies teaching and learning activities in class V SD which could support the research results. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were made at Pendem II Public Elementary School to find out the application of pictorial story media. Interviews were conducted with class teachers, principals and students. Documentation was carried out to strengthen the results of observations and interviews. The research was conducted at SDN Pendem II in grade 5 students. The results of the research after implementing social studies learning through picture stories, showed a change in students' understanding of local wisdom of cultural heritage in grade 5 students. The findings of this study were the application of picture story media to foster local wisdom cultural heritage to students, and can have a good influence on students' understanding of learning in social studies learning.

Abstract

Learning history for elementary school students through reading books is tedious. This study aims to describe the cultivation of global diversity student profiles through the implementation of Tamansiswa Ngandel, Kandel, Kendel, and wayward teachings. Research data were obtained through learning observation activities, student interviews, and documentation of learning outcomes. The subject of the study was a fifth-grade student of SDN Sariharjo for the 2021/2022 academic year. The research location is the Jogja Kembali monument. The implementation of Tamansiswa teachings is taken through a six-step group investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model, namely 1) identifying the discussion of the subject matter and grouping students; 2) arranging learning activities; 3) making observations and investigations; 4) complete the group report; 5) present a report on learning outcomes; and 6) evaluate students' understanding. The results showed that students enjoyed learning history through museum visits. Tamansiswa's teachings on Ngandel, Kandel, Kendel, and recalcitrant are seen when students experience firsthand the planning, investigation, and reporting activities of the investigation. The profile of students with global diversity is seen through which students can appreciate the history and location of historical relics near their school.

Abstract

Facing the 21st century, Indonesia needs human resources who have the creativity and skills to produce output in the form of innovative work. Therefore, school programs are needed to facilitate students in learning with creative skills to become problem solvers in the future. Against this background, this study aims to describe aspects, strategies, and supporting and inhibiting factors in fostering creativity through science extracurriculars at SD Muhammadiyah Pakel Program Plus. This research is categorized as qualitative descriptive research. The main focus of this research is the implementation of the extracurricular Science Club in instilling creativity in elementary school students. Data collection was carried out by observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were the principal, 2 science extracurricular teachers, and 6 students. Data validity is carried out through a triangulation process, both techniques and sources. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's inductive interactive data model. The results showed that the inculcation of creativity through science extracurriculars at SD Muhammadiyah Pakel Program Plus was seen from 1) Aspects of creativity instilled, namely (1) Cognitive (talent) in the form of fluent, flexible, original, and detailed thinking. Skills. (2) Affective (non-aptitude) in the form of curiosity and being challenged. 2) Strategy to foster creativity with 4 stages, namely personal, process, driver, and product. 3) The supporting factors are mental stimulus, environmental conditions, and the role of the teacher. The inhibiting factors are evaluation, reward, and competition.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of physical education, sports, and health in building the character of grade 5A students of SD Negeri Tegalrejo 1. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Observation, interviews, and documentation are used as data collection techniques. In this study, Miles and Huberman used data analysis techniques consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of research on the role of physical education, sports, and health in building the character of students at SD Negeri Tegalrejo 1 grade 5A show that 1) physical education, sports, and health support the formation of student character well through learning activities. 2) Teachers' efforts in building character values in Class 5A of SD Negeri Tegalrejo 1 through habituation occur during PJOK learning or sometimes outside of PJOK learning, assisted by school culture, where teachers have their approach in addition to teaching. students who still need orientation. 3) The application of character values of grade 5A students of SD Tegalrejo 1 is evident from the results of observations and interviews, including religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, social care, environmental care, curiosity, and responsibility. The application of these values can be seen in PJOK learning and outside PJOK lessons.

Abstract

The duration of learning activities is an external factor that needs to be considered in the learning process in lower-grade elementary schools. Physical Activity Break, translated as rest with physical activity, is an alternative activity to solve the problem of learning duration and long sitting time for elementary school students. This study aims to determine the level of enjoyment of lower-grade elementary school students in Yogyakarta on implementing Physical Activity Breaks in the learning process. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The sample in this study used a simple random sampling technique. Sample data from the total population of SD Masjid Syuhada students in the DIY area. The sample in this study was taken as many as 64 students. The instrument used is a questionnaire with 12 statement items; experts have been consulted and tested valid and reliable. Data analysis techniques in this study were carried out using descriptive statistical tests with the help of SPSS software. The results of the analysis in this study are presented in the form of minimum (Min), Maximum (Max), Mean (M), Median (Me), Mode (Mo), Standard Deviation (SD), Frequency Distribution, Histogram, and Percentage per aspect and item. Based on the study's results, it has been shown that the frequency of the Enjoyment Level of Elementary School students for Physical Activity Breaks is at most 30 (46.9%) at intervals of 11-12. At the same time, there are at least two students (00%) at intervals 13-14 and 15-16. Furthermore, the total score for the Enjoyment Level for PAB is 650, and the criterion score for the Enjoyment Level for PAB is 768, so the percentage value reaching 84.64 is in the very high category. Thus it can be concluded that elementary school students' enjoyment of physical activity breaks in learning can be very high based on the quantitative research results. The feelings of pleasure and comfort experienced by students, as well as the positive impact of implementing Physical Activity Breaks, are the key to successful learning in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using pop-up book media on the ability to recognize spatial shapes in Class II students with intellectual disabilities at SLB Negeri 1 Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Academic Year 2022/2023. The method used in this research is Single Subject Research (SSR) A-B design. The subjects of this study were students with the initials Rt Z. The study was conducted in 10 sessions in two phases, namely the baseline phase (A 1) of 3 sessions and the intervention phase (B) of 8 sessions. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of using pop-up book media on the ability to recognize spatial shapes. This is indicated by the value data obtained in the baseline phase (A1) which increases in the baseline phase (B). In addition, based on the data obtained, it was then analyzed using analysis within conditions and analysis between conditions. The results of data analysis within and between conditions showed that the mean level of the Intervention phase (B) increased compared to the baseline phase (A1). Based on this, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using pop-up book media on the ability to recognize spatial shapes in students with mild intellectual disabilities in class I at SLB Negeri 1, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province.

Abstract

This article aims to find out the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program based on one of Tamansiswa's teachings, namely Tri N (Niteni, Nirokke, and Nambahi) at Panggang Tanjungsari State Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative approach. Informants or resource persons for this research consisted of school principals, teachers, student guardians, and students of Panggang Kapanewon Tanjungsari Elementary School, Gunungkidul Regency. Methods of data collection in this study using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research conducted show that the School Literacy Movement has been carried out regularly at this school since 2018. At Panggang Tanjungsari State Elementary School, researchers implemented the Tri-N-based school literacy movement from the teachings of Ki Hajar Dewantara, namely Niteni, Nirokke, and Nambahi. The parties involved in supporting the policy of the School Literacy Movement at Panggang Negeri Elementary School are all members of the school community including principals, teachers, staff, students, and parents. The implementation of the Literacy Movement at SD Negeri Panggang based on the teachings of Tri N Ki Hajar Dewantara is carried out through the Reading Corner Program, mandatory library visits, reading time programs, making wall magazines, and writing competitions.

Abstract

The goals of this study are to: 1) design a math e-module appropriate for fifth graders; 2) establish whether or not students in that grade level are qualified to take advantage of the module; and 3) evaluate the module's efficacy. Examine the effect that the aforementioned Mathematics e-Module has had on fifth graders' capacity to articulate mathematical concepts. The research was conducted during the 2022–2023 school year at First Kadipiro Elementary School in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The ultimate purpose of this research is to provide a useful contribution to ADDIE's overall framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Twenty-four kids in the fifth grade were selected at random to participate in this study. The results of the study revealed the following: 1) The ADDIE paradigm was used throughout the creation of the mathematics e-module. The media expert is excellently competent, the teacher and student surveys yielded good results, and the expert review of the material all weighed in favor of implementing the mathematics e-module. The Paired Sample T-Test indicates that the Mathematics e-Module is effective and that there is a statistically significant improvement in test scores after completing the module compared to before. Four) Students' mathematical communication improves as a result of using the Mathematical e-Modul. The 70.1589.63 point increase in average grade between the pre-and post-tests is indicative of this.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the role of the Three Education Centers on the social skills of children with special needs at SD Muhammadiyah Nitikan. The subjects in this study were school principals, grade III teachers, grade III teachers, special assistant teachers, parents of a student with special needs, committees, peers, and students with special needs at SD Muhammadiyah Nitikan. Data collection techniques used observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used Miles and Huberman which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that (1) the family environment plays a role in the first and foremost educators of children, guarantees children's comfort and happiness, and the occurrence of constant social interactions, motivates children. (2) The school environment plays a role in children's formal education that is directed and structured, providing facilities to support children's needs, as well as giving encouragement and support to children. (3) The community environment becomes a place for children's social activities, as well as supporting children's social skills. (4) Obstacles to the implementation of the three education centers are found in the children with special needs themselves, the lack of responsiveness of the family environment to reports from schools, the school environment that could not accompany children 100%, and the community environment who is less aware of the importance of social skills of children with special needs. (5) The efforts of the three education centers towards the development of social skills are the provision of adequate facilities, open-mindedness, and good communication between the three environments, organizing meetings to conduct cooperation in shaping children's social skills, giving examples, and instilling social skills during the learning process.
