JPM (Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat) is Community Service Journal with registered number ISSN 2541-1977 (online), ISSN 2615-2649 (print). JPM published two issues in a year (May and Nopember). Every manuscript will be reviewed by at least two-peer-reviewers using double blind review method. JPM was published by LPPM Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang. <![CDATA[Self-medication activities are part of the community's efforts to take care of their health. Gevaarlijk and antibiotics are types of drugs that can only be obtained by prescription from a doctor. Both types of these drugs should not be stored because their use must be under the supervision and has the potential to cause bacterial resistance related to the use of antibiotics. Based on Riskesdas 2013, there are still many people who store gevaarlijk and antibiotics for self-medication. This shows the irrational use of drugs. Community service activities aim to improve knowledge and skills in the use of rational medicine. The method used is the Community-Based Interactive Approach method in which participants play an active role in activities. This participation is important to practice the ability and skill in solving problems. Activities carried out through counseling about the use of rational drugs and antibiotics, then continued with training and assistance for the rational use of drugs and antibiotics. End result of this activity is expected that the community will be able to apply rational drug use and disseminate this information to the wider community.]]>

<![CDATA[The teachers at SD 173529 are teachers with the status of Civil Servants (PNS). Teachers with the status of civil servants must write scientific papers when going up to a position or class. The problem is writing scientific papers and data processing. The solution offered to overcome this problem is SPSS training include processing research data and how to read the SPSS output to be narrated in the research results. The method used consisted of group discussions, deliberations, in-house training and workshops. The results from this activity are the teacher gives a positive response to the training activities include 100% of teachers liked the training material, the modules used, the way of learning, the way the instructor taught. The other results are the teachers stated that the training material is new (71.42%), the modules used are new (85.71%), the learning method implemented is new (85.71%), the method of teaching is a new way of teaching (85,71%), the teacher expressed interest in using SPSS in processing research data and in training activities (100%).]]>

<![CDATA[The "Nari-Nari" Weaving Village in Rabadompu Timur Village, Bima City, is a community group engaged in the weaving industry which has been carried on for generations. During this time, Bima woven fabric products use yarn raw material that has been colored using synthetic dyes. Yarn with synthetic dyes has a more diverse color, the fabric coloring process is easier and the cost is cheap, but synthetic dyes are carcinogenic and harmful to the environment. The solution to the problems faced by using natural dyes obtained from plants. This activity aims to train the Nari-Nari weaving group in yarn coloring using natural dyes. The method used is training through several stages of the activity namely the stage of socialization of activities; the training stage of yarn dyeing and woven fabric production. The dyes used are yellow wood extract and mahogany wood. The results obtained in this activity are the colored yarn has a different color based on the extract of the dye and fixation material. In yellow wood obtained with a maroon red color on alum, black on tunjung and reddish beige on lime. In mahogany wood is obtained beige on alum, black gray on tunjung and beige on lime.]]>

<![CDATA[Modern hypnotherapy methods have a greater role to 'open' awareness in knowing the main problem and helping to heal or solve the problem by himself. someone becomes more comfortable with his condition and can accept his condition, so it does not interfere with activities or daily activities. Lack of motivation can reduce self-confidence where every individual, be it an employee, teacher, student, housewife or entertainer desperately needs self-confidence in all fields. The purpose of this community service is to train the participants in applying hypnosis and hypnotherapy and to change the mindset of the participants towards that knowledge. The method used is the presentation of material through seminars and frequently asked questions and simulations both individually and in groups. The result of devotion is that the participants are able to implement hypnosis and hypnosis for the needs of increased motivation, treatment and self-development both for themselves and to help others who experience constraints of confidence and improve performance. The next activity the community service team will conduct hypnoteaching training for teachers and hypomotivation for students.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of the implementation of this community service activity is to provide an understanding of the financial management of BUMDes. The problem faced by partners is that bumdes financial management has not been properly managed, resulting in the optimal governance of BUMDes in the partner village. The un availability of accommodated resources in the village is one of the causes of the unsanying of local potential in partner villages and their surroundings. This method of community service implementation is carried out by providing training on the importance of accounting management as a form of business management accountability and providing assistance to partners in compiling financial statements in accordance with financial accounting standards (SAK). The result of this community service activity is that BUMDes managers are able to compile BUMDes financial statements in a simple way including cash statements, income statements, capital change reports and financial position statements. Although the results of financial reporting compiled by partners are still very simple, this reporting has been done with SAK and it is expected that in the future the management of the partner's financial system is well organized.]]>

<![CDATA[Pesantren "Asy-Syadzili" Pakis Malang currently has both formal and non-formal education which is experiencing rapid growth, marked by the increasing number of students coming from various regions of Java and outside with the number of santri more than 350 people. To organizing the Islamic Boarding School for the Qur'an, Madrasah Diniyah and the Qur'an Education Park, it also organizes junior and senior high school education, but the management is still simple and the majority of Ustadzahs have never attended education or training that supports their duties. The development of increasingly rapid technology, teaching staff must be able to compensate by increasing competence for themselves, so that learning is more fun and meaningful. The strategy developed is the introduction of multimedia-based learning to improve quality, become urgent demands and needs to be done. This training will be attended by all TPQ teachers and TPQ teachers, amounting to 30 people. The impact is that 83.33% of students have begun to understand the concept of multimedia-based learning, 33.33% of clerics have the ability or learning skills using simple mindmapping, 50% of clerics are able to practice the concepts of learning correctly, and 26.67% of clerics are able make a Learning Implementation Plan.]]>

<![CDATA[As a professional teacher must have various abilities, one of the ability to write scientific papers in the form of scientific articles. By writing scientific papers, in addition to getting a promotion, position and class, will be used as a benchmark of success and to demonstrate professionalism. Departing from the problems at the partner school, the purpose of this training activity is to improve teachers' understanding and ability to write scientific articles that are in accordance with the journal template. The target of this activity is teachers at SMK N 1 Sidoarjo. The methods used in this training are lecture, question and answer, mentoring to write scientific articles, and citing references. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test conducted during the training showed that there was an increase in knowledge about writing scientific articles. Increasing the percentage of knowledge about the article component by 46%, increasing the ethical knowledge of writing articles by 58%, and increasing knowledge about uploading articles in national journals by 54%.]]>

<![CDATA[The main problem that occurred in SMP Negeri 2 Jabon, which inspired this activity was the pedagogical competence of science teachers on aspects of making teaching materials and the implementation of science learning in the classroom that had not yet integrated local wisdom into science learning. In other words when making teaching materials teachers rarely associate the concept of science with local culture in Sidoarjo. Therefore, in order for teachers to be able to make teaching materials based on local wisdom or ethnoscience, a workshop was held with the aim of: 1) Improving teacher’s concepts understanding of ethnoscience, local wisdom or local culture, 2) Enhancing teacher skills in making teaching materials based on local wisdom. In delivering innovations to partners, it is carried out by the method of explanation, discussion, practice and mentoring and evaluation stages. The result of this activity is the knowledge of teachers about learning science based on local wisdom or ethnoscience increased. This is indicated by an average pre-test 58.3 and post-test 76.7. In addition, the teachers are able to make science teaching materials based on local wisdom or ethnoscience. Some of the teaching materials that have been made by the teachers are learning materials integrated with traditional games; Science worksheets with the theme of smoking fish; and worksheets for making “klompen”.]]>

<![CDATA[PPK FTI activities is a manifestation of the application of one of the faculty visions, namely entrepreneurship, which is then also supported by ristekbrin through a community service funding scheme. One of the outputs of this activity was to produce 6 viable tenants and became the essential thing in this PPK FTI activity. Several stages were passed, starting from administrative selection until 20 tenants were obtained to participate in the training which would later be selected again into 6 tenants. Sociopreneur mindset training is important in this KDP activity because, in addition to the spirit of empowerment, doing business must also provide benefits to others. In addition, sharia aqad is also a training material because buying and selling aqad is the key to the start of the business process where to be taken. In essence, doing business is about the benefits of the world and savings in the afterlife. Some obstacles were experienced during online training, such as signals and voices, but these did not dampen the tenant's enthusiasm for participating in the training. Most of the tenants were able to receive well and were satisfied with the training material so that it could be practiced in their entrepreneurial activities.]]>

<![CDATA[Very rapid technological developments can have positive and negative impacts on society. One negative effect that needs to be watched out is cyberbullying. This community service is carried out online targeting teenagers, educators, and parents. This service aims to provide insight related to cyberbullying, parenting, and the importance of technological literacy in assisting adolescent development so that it can prevent cyberbullying. The method of implementing this service is discussion, practice, and question and answer. Online community service by way of Whatsapp lectures was attended by 95 people. The results of the dedication showed that the participants seemed enthusiastic in attending Whatsapp lectures with this theme. Cyberbullying and media literacy become new insights for participants. Curiosity towards the implementation of the teachings of Ki Hajar Dewantara is increasing. Parents and educators should be able to attend training regularly so that they can optimally assist and develop the potential of children, especially adolescents, so they avoid cyberbullying.]]>
