Abstract

The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung is one of the faculties that produces student output as teachers. Students must have an interest in becoming a teacher when they have graduated from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of Perceptions of the Teaching Campus Program (KM), Family Environment, and Family Economic Conditions on interest in becoming a teacher in FKIP students at the University of Lampung. This research was conducted using a survey method with a quantitative approach. The total population in this study was 112 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling, which is 88 samples. The data were tested using partial analysis (t test) and simultaneously (f test). The results of the research hypothesis indicate that there is a partial and simultaneous influence on the perception of campus teaching programs, family environment and family economic conditions on interest in becoming a teacher in FKIP students at the University of Lampung. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in learning, especially to increase interest in becoming a teacher for FKIP students at the University of Lampung.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to determine a significant relationship between study habits with mathematics learning outcomes for grade V students at SDNegeri 4 Sumberejo in the academic year 2021/2022. This type of research is quantitative with ex-post facto correlation method. The population of this study was 55 students and sampling using a saturated sample technique. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire and documentation. Analysis of the data used is the product moment correlation and obtained a correlation of0,43 with contribution of 18,4% with moderate criteria. There is a significant relationship between learning independence and mathe matematics learning students outcomes for grade V students at SD Negeri 4 Sumberejo in the academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

The study of inference skill concerned with infer the message from the text which is written by the author. Studying on inference always faced the different text. Inference skill was occurred in some levels. These levels were very important to keep the meaning of the text to avoid the awkwardness. This research was aimed to find how was the student’s inference skill in reading comprehension at the sixth semester done by the students of English education study program in Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Lampung. The characteristic of this research was qualitative research by applying Miles and Huberman models; namely collecting data, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion. The result of the students’ inference skill in reading comprehension was done by the students of English Study Program Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Lampung, in coherence inference, there were ten percent of students making error in this level.

Abstract

The problems studied in this study are related to the low mathematical problem solving ability of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of learning videos on the mathematical problem solving abilities of eighth graders in odd semesters at SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2022/2023. This study used an experimental method with the population in this study, namely all students of class VIII Odd Semester SMP Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung, while the sample was taken two classes, namely class VIII B as an experimental class that used video learning, and class VIII C as a control class that did not use learning videos. learning video. Samples were taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To determine the students' mathematical problem solving ability, the author conducted a test in the form of an essay as many as five questions which had been tested for validity and reliability. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the t-hit formula. From the results of hypothesis testing using the t-hit statistical formula, the value of t = 3,07 is obtained. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is known that t = 1,67 then  which means that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who use learning videos is higher than the average mathematical problem solving ability of students who do not use learning videos.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to improve teacher competency in implementing learning through academic supervision. This research is a school action research using an instrument used to observe teachers in carrying out learning, the overall results of the study were analyzed by using quantitative analyses and categorized into very good, good, sufficient, less and very poor categories. Respondents of this study were teachers of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Ambarawa who received the category, very poor, lacking and sufficient. The results of academic supervision in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year were obtained as many as 20 people consisting of 5 males and 15 females. This research consists of three cycles where each cycle uses the stages of planning, implementation / observation, evaluation and reflection. The results showed an increase in the ability of teachers to carry out learning in each cycle. The score of the teacher's ability to carry out learning before treatment was 1689; in cycle 1 a score of 2006 was obtained, in cycle 2 a score of 2277 was obtained and at cycle of 3 was obtaineda score of 2437. This indicates an increase in teachers’ competencies in implementing learning in each cycle. The composition of teachers’ competencies that reached the good and very good categories also experienced an increase in each cycle. Before treatment 0%, in the first cycle to 25%, in the second cycle to 55% and in the third cycle to 80%. From these results, it can be concluded that using academic supervision can improve teachers’competencies in carrying out learning.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve students’ reading comprehension by using Herringbone Technique. The subject of this research was the 10th IPS 1 of SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung. It consisted of 34 students. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was consisted of 2 cycles. In collecting the data, the writer used test and non-test. The tests used in this research were formative and summative test. Meanwhile in non-test, the writer used observation sheet and field note. In analyzing the data, the writer used quantitative and qualitative method. Refers to the result of the test, it showed that there were 23 students who got score ≥70 with the percentage 64.67% in the first cycle. Meanwhile, there were 28 students who got score ≥70 with the percentage 82.35% in the second cycle. In the other hand, the mean score of the students’ learning activity in the first cycle was 6.84 and in the second cycle was 7.51. It showed that there was an increase in the students’ learning activity. Based on the result of the research, the Herringbone Technique can improve students’ reading comprehension in the tenth grade of SMA YP Unila.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the discovery approach to improve student activity and learning outcomes in science learning on the material of excretory organs in humans and their functions for class VIII-5 students of SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. The method used in this research is Action Research which consists of 2 (two) cycles, and each cycle consists of: Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. Based on the results of action research that the application of the discovery approach to increase student activity and learning outcomes in science learning on the material of excretory organs in humans and their functions in class VIII-5 SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. Furthermore, the researcher recommends: (1) For teachers who have the same difficulty the discovery approach to increase student activity and learning outcomes in science learning on the material of excretory organs in humans and their functions; (2) In order to get maximum results, it is hoped that teachers will make PBP more interesting and varied.

Abstract

Science education emphasizes providing direct experience to develop competence so that students are able to explore and understand the natural surroundings scientifically. Teaching that only uses the lecture method will make it difficult for students to understand concepts in science lessons, so students are less enthusiastic in learning activities and are passive. Students only memorize so they do not understand the concept. This is due to the assumption that knowledge can be transferred from one person's mind to another's mind, so that teachers who are active in learning to transfer their knowledge such as machines, they listen, take notes, and do the tasks given by the teacher, so that learning is teacher-centered and understanding. The results achieved by students are instrumental. The purpose of this study is to approach group work to improve student activity and learning outcomes in science learning on the material of excretory organs in humans and their functions for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung. Abstract

A conscious effort education that is deliberately designed to achieve the stated goals. The results of PPKN learning in class VIII.6 SMP Negeri 43 Palembang are still low. The results of the first PPKN daily test only reached an average of 64.38 and only 46.88% of students achieved a score of 70 or >70. Whereas ideally, at least 85% of students should get 70 or >70. The low PPKN test results are caused by the teacher still not maximal in teaching the material to students. The teacher does not update the old learning model or still uses learning that is still focused on teachers who are actively lecturing. Teachers have not mastered the way that is not right on how to motivate students so that learning outcomes can be further improved. Therefore, the learning outcomes of grade VIII.6 students of SMP Negeri 43 Palembang are still low and need improvement by using an attractive learning model for students. The formulation of the problem in this study is: "Can the Learning Together learning model improve PPKN learning outcomes in class VIII.6 students of SMP Negeri 43 Palembang?". The subjects in this study were students of Class VIII.6 SMP Negeri 43 Palembang, totaling 32 students. This research will be carried out in class VIII.6 from September to November 2019. This class action research has been said to be complete with the evidence of improving Civics learning outcomes using the Learning Together learning model. Mastery learning increased from pre-cycle, cycle I to cycle II, which were 46.88%, 65.63% and 87.50%, respectively. In cycle II, students' learning mastery classically had been achieved and experienced a very good increase.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the use of Letter Card props can improve the fluency of reading and the activeness of SMPN class VII semester 2 students. The method in this study is classroom action research with a collaborative form involving researchers, peers (teachers) and principals. This research was carried out in class VII, semester 2 of SMP Negeri 22 Pesawaran, Gedongtataan District, Pesawaran Regency, for the 2020/2021 academic year with a total of 30 students. The focus of this study is the results of learning English and the effectiveness of the use of letter card props to improve reading fluency. This Classroom Action Research uses two cycles. Each cycle consists of three meetings, each meeting consists of four steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the fluency of reading students in cycle I and cycle II with SK / KD equal in the good category. Student activity also showed improvement in cycle I and cycle II in the very active category. By looking at the results of the study, it can be concluded that this research is able to answer the purpose of the study, namely the use of letter card displays can improve the fluency of reading and the activeness of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 22 Pesawaran, Gedongtataan District, Pesawaran Regency, for the 2020/2021 academic year. Finally, researchers suggest to all teachers to be creative in presenting learning, especially in using interesting and varied teaching aids and media so that they can bring students in a fun learning process and the complete limit of student learning outcomes can be achieved.
