Abstract

Global warming is a global challenge that requires deep understanding and active involvement of students in developing sustainable solutions. In an effort to support students' active involvement in the learning process, the government provides textbooks for teachers and students to use. However, the book still has shortcomings so it has not been maximized properly. This research aims to obtain information regarding the need for a global warming teaching module based on problem based learning to improve students' problem solving abilities and self-efficacy. The research method used was exploratory descriptive with research subjects namely 15 Tangerang City physics teachers and 30 students at Yuppentek 1 Tangerang High School. Data collection was carried out through distributing teacher and student needs questionnaires, problem solving skills tests, and student self-efficacy questionnaires via Google Form. The analysis technique used is quantitative. The results show that more than 50% of students have low problem solving abilities and self-efficacy. In addition, 50% of teachers and students need teaching modules to present material more clearly in the implementation of learning, providing a more systematic competency. So, it can be concluded that it is necessary to develop a problem-based learning-based global warming teaching module that can improve students' problem-solving abilities and self-efficacy.

Abstract

This research aims to determine assessment problems in the independent curriculum. This research is qualitative research. The research subjects were teachers at SDN 1 Melinggih Kelod, Gianyar Regency, Bali, which was implementing the independent curriculum. Data collection techniques in this research are (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) expert discussions. The data analysis technique in this research uses an interactive model, namely (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) drawing conclusions. The research results show that there are two problems in assessment in the independent curriculum, namely 1) assessment problems in intracurricular learning and 2) problems in the Project for Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile (P5). The problems with assessment in intracurricular learning consist of (1) teachers have not been able to differentiate between formative and summative assessments, (2) in formative assessments, teachers assume that the form of tests used are written tests only, (3) in summative assessments, teachers understand that assessments The summative is prepared by the teacher, but in fact it is still prepared by the education office, and (4) the teacher still considers report cards to determine learning outcomes. The problem with the P5 assessment concerns teachers' misconceptions that the P5 assessment is the final assessment carried out during harvest activities. This misconception gives rise to new problems in the field of financing where schools experience problems in harvesting work events which require money to organize.

Abstract

One of the trends that has gotten stronger after the Covid-19 Pandemic is the habit of students using gadgets to study, surf, play and spend their time. This habit influences the motivation and learning outcomes in school. Consequently, conducting research is needed to utilize digital game applications as part of gamification-based learning media. This is important to increase the learning interest of students who like digital games. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using gamification-based learning methods in increasing student motivation. The research method used was a survey using questionnaires for junior high school students. Statistical analysis was conducted to determine differences in learning motivation before and after the implementation of gamification in mathematics class. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of gamification in mathematics can increase student motivation by 13.03% compared to conventional learning. From the several question items, it can be seen that gamification made learning mathematics more fun (3.65) and 97.45% of students said that their learning concentration was better with the implementation of gamification in the mathematics class. Looking at the average results of the questionnaire after gamification-based learning at class VII and IX levels there is no significant difference, both show high averages showing that at different levels students are equally interested in gamification-based learning. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of gamification in mathematics learning has a significant influence on increasing student learning motivation.

Abstract

Science is material that is closely correlated with experiments and observations, as well as the complexity of living things and their lives, including plants. Plant reproduction is considered to be an area of material that is classified as difficult to convey because it is dense and requires long observations. This difficulty then becomes the trigger for misconceptions among students. This research aims to desCRIbe the level of misconceptions among elementary school students regarding plant reproduction material. This type of research is qualitative with a data collection method using a test instrument using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method, with a total of 25 questions that have been tested for validity and reliability, with a validity score of 0.468 and a reliability score of 0.60. The validity of this research was checked by testing the validity and reliability of the test instrument, checking the consistency of filling in the CRI values during the research, and using a formula to calculate the incidence of misconceptions. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the questions can be declared valid and reliable. The research results showed that 32% had misconceptions, 28% knew the concept with certainty, 29% didn't know the concept correctly, and 4% guessed the answer. The percentage of misconceptions at 32% can be categorized as moderate. The highest misconception in the material explaining perfect flowers was 89%, while the lowest misconception in the material explaining the meaning of vegetative plant reproduction was 0%, which means that no students experienced misconceptions about the material.

Abstract

One of the troubles in Indonesian training is that the system of tutorial development remains not substantial and is abstract and even a way from actual existence, making it tough to train college students' creative wondering abilties. This study targets to enhance innovative questioning talents using the context-based learning (CBL) studying model on motion dynamics fabric. There are several articles associated with these studies for analysis. The sample for this research was 64 students taken from 2 classes, namely class XI K and XI L among 6 class XI at SMAN 3 Pandeglang. The methodology employed for data analysis to ascertain an increase in creative thinking skills in students is the N-gain test. Based on the N-gain analysis, the findings indicated an improvement in creative thinking skills using the context-based learning (CBL) learning model on Motion Dynamics material. This was obtained derived from the outcomes of statistical calculations which indicated the presence of increase in the value of N-gain in the class undergoing the experiment by 0.84 in the high category, while in the control class the N-gain value was only 0.39 falling within the moderate category. Therefore, learning using the context-based learning model is recommended to be employed to enhance the creative thinking abilities of students, especially in contextually related materials such as Motion Dynamics material.
