Abstract

This study aims to understand the principal's leadership in responding to the challenges of the pedagogic competence of 21st-century teachers at SMA Negeri 68 Jakarta. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method is applied in this study. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted interactively, starting with data collection, data reduction, data display, and concluding. The results showed that; Principal leadership in improving teacher pedagogic competence is carried out by strengthening educator certification, training organized by the department and school, strengthening collaboration, communication, critical and creative thinking, implemented through literacy skills, strengthening character education, information, and communication technology-based learning. This research has implications for the importance of teacher competence in improving the quality of education in schools, so it needs to get earnest attention from all parties.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the critical role of religious leaders in Islamic education so that people understand that something they learn will be helpful in their lives in this world and the hereafter so that they will not feel a loss in learning and applying Islam in their lives. This research uses a case study research method with a qualitative approach. Researchers conducted intensive interviews, involvement observations, and collection of documentation as data mining directly in the field and analyzed by describing events in the field. This study found that the role of religious leaders as leaders in carrying out Islamic religious education is carried out through example, practice and action, ibrah and advice, dialogue, and non-formal coaching and management. This research has implications for the importance of example, practice, deeds, ibrah and advice, dialogue in managing non-formal educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of competence and use of information technology on teacher performance. This type of research is quantitative. The research population of teachers at SMP Negeri 21 Batang Hari was 32 people. The data collection technique used a questionnaire (questionnaire), and the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that; 1) there is a positive and significant influence between competence on teacher performance; 2) there is a positive and significant effect between the use of information technology on teacher performance; 3) Simultaneously there is a positive and significant influence between competence and the use of information technology on teacher performance. By obtaining the value of R Square (coefficient of determination) of 0.865, which means the magnitude of the role or contribution of the competence variable and the use of information technology can explain the teacher performance variable of 86.5%. Where if the competence and use of information technology are getting better, the teachers' performance at SMP N 21 Batang Hari will also be better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of leadership and principal motivation on teacher performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Thawalib, Tanjung Limau Pariangan, West Sumatra. This study uses a quantitative correlational approach that is commonly used to evaluate and detect the extent of a factor's variation on one or more other factors based on the correlation coefficient. This study involved 30 teachers. The results showed that leadership and motivation simultaneously affected teacher performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Thawalib with a significance value (sig) of 0.003. The better the leadership and the higher the motivation given by the head of the madrasah, it will improve teachers' performance in the madrasah. This study has implications for the importance of the leadership style displayed by the principal in improving the performance of existing personnel in the organization to achieve the desired goals.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the management of multicultural-based learning at the level of early childhood education. The method used in this study used a qualitative descriptive approach. PAUD Hidayatul Muttaqin conducted this research. In order to get an overview of the object, the researcher made observations at the location and interviewed several components in the school, including; the principal, three teachers, and two guardians. The results showed that multicultural-based learning management was carried out by; planning for multicultural education, strengthening human resources for educators, implementing multicultural education, and evaluating multicultural cultures. The implications obtained through multicultural-based learning management can foster a sense of nationalism and care for others in students. For this reason, the management of multicultural education is a place to instill the spirit of nationalism so that it can unite the existing diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how big the relationship between organizational characteristics and the decision-making process of the head of the madrasa as a leader. Principals have the responsibility for making decisions to improve management and develop madrasah. The method used in this research is quantitative with non-experimental research methods (survey). Questionnaires were given to 34 respondents who are teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Mustaqiem. The results showed that madrasas applied indicators of organizational characteristics, but the relationship between organizational characteristics and the principal's decision was not significant. The components that exist in the characteristics of the madrasa organization need to be evaluated and improved. Other factors are more dominant and influence the decision-making of the madrasah principal. This is an opportunity for further research to examine which factors are more dominant in the principal's decision-making as a determinant of improving organizational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation, evaluation, and management of the tahfidz Al-qur'an program at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah from the State Islamic University of Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive analysis method. Interviews were conducted directly with the leaders of Ma'had, the tahfidz division, and the mudabbir. The results showed that the management of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Program at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah was running well. This program was implemented thanks to the collaboration between the academic community and a facilitator called Mudabbir, who is responsible for optimizing the process of memorizing the Qur'an, and providing a greater understanding of the importance of memorizing the Qur'an for students by adjusting the components of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluation of the Tahfidz Al-qur'an Program. Ma'had Al-jami'ah continues to make adjustments to improve the quality of graduates and equip them with a deep understanding of the meaning of the Qur'an to increase students' faith and piety.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine digital-based learning management with a multimodal approach to transform teaching materials. This study involved a multimodal approach to meaning interpretation, applying three metafunction principles: ideational (representational), interpersonal (social relations), and textual (organizing text). Such three metafunctions are combined with text, image, sound, and video tutorial modes in teaching materials. This study included twelve students willing to answer five open-ended questions about digital teaching materials via Google forms. The study's findings identified student feedback assessing digital teaching materials, specifically: 1) teaching materials packaged in ebook creator; 2) integration of multimedia in teaching materials; 3) integration of digital storytelling in teaching materials; and 4) material by the lesson plan. This study has implications for digital-based teaching to transmit innovative and diverse knowledge.

Abstract

This paper describes total quality management and its impact on the effectiveness of the academic system at KH Achmad Siddiq State Islamic University Jember. This research uses a qualitative case study approach, using interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. Participants in it are leaders, lecturers, staff, and students with the purposive sampling technique. The data analysis uses Milles and Huberman's concepts, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the impact of total quality management and the effectiveness of the academic system was; 1) Using friendly, namely students and lecturers as users in this research, it becomes easier to use technology-based information systems, not complicated in using and getting services regarding academic matters; 2) Ease of access to information, namely making it easier for students to access information about academics; 3) Faster use, due to managerial processes that get more attention, students and lecturers feel faster in digging up information through accounts that have been provided with accurate results; 4) Public services faster, managerial processes that run more effectively and consistently as well as the presence of experts who manage them make students feel satisfied with college academic services.

Abstract

This study was to see how much influence mediation of mindset changes has on human resource development and economic growth. The study used questionnaire aids, from which the questionnaire results were processed with Smart PLS 3.0 and the Sobel test, which is used to look at the indirect influence of mediation variables. Respondents involved in this study were the Karimun Regency community, with as many as 120 respondents taken using random sampling techniques. The results of hypothesis testing in this study are: first, human resource development has a significant influence on economic growth with an influence value of 14,407, more significant than the value of t value 1.96; second, human resource development has a significant value in changing mindsets of 40,679, greater than the value of t value 1.96. Third, the variable change mindset significantly influences the economic growth of 11,696 and is greater than the value of t = 1.96. Fourth, there is a significant indirect influence between human resource development and economic growth mediated by a change in the mindset of 306.25, more significant than the value of t values of 1.96.
